I don't think I'm ready for the humiliating pain of being seen, known, and telling the god's honest truth.

I don't think I'm ready to love you, at least not how you deserve.

And I'm definitely not ready for you to love me back.

So when the snow sticks in your hair and melts against my flushed cheeks I'll lie again.

I'll tell you it's nothing when I wipe the edge of your lipgloss, that you had something in your hair for a reason to keep your face close to mine.

You told me I was pretty and every word I use to describe you to the moon got caught in my throat and all that came out was,

"You too."
