Aurora couldn't believe how quickly her life had changed. Three weeks ago she had been a normal elementary school teacher. But then she'd been in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessed a murder. She'd immediately reported to the police and was quickly put in protective custody. When it appeared that protective custody wasn't quite protective enough, she was handed over to the witness protection program. 

Which was how she found herself sitting across from the tall dark haired man who she now needed to pretend was her -

"Husband?" she asked, not bothering to hide the shock and concern. "I assumed I would be placed alone," she continued speaking to the agent, glancing at the other man out of the corner of her eye. He was imposing even while sitting, and more than a little attractive. 

"Normally you would be. But due to security reasons, this is the best option for time being. Now, here is your new identity. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson."
