Hiiii! I was wondering if you had any tips or thoughts for us girls on cultivating wit. I know it’s something you kinda have or you don’t, but are there any suggestions?
Hi love! I would say the following tips are important:
Learn a lot about the world, read, watch insightful information, listen, speak to people – having a broad knowledge base gives you more material to work with
Understanding context, timing and the environment are dealbreakers when it comes to a witty remark being well-received or acknowledged
Speak in a relatively even, almost monotone voice. Witty remarks are more impactful when you allow the audience to showcase their reaction from a blank slate. The irony of your intonation vs. the comment you're making allows the sentiment to derive a more significant impact
Hope this helps xx

Run, be reckless while you still can. Your knees won't be able to hold your weight once you decide you have reached your limit. Once you come to that point of a stand-by, there is only remembrance and regret. Don't make room for regrets. Don't make room for unfulfilled moments, moments of yearnings and ruminations. If not running, don't stop walking by any means.

A Book for All Seasons: Why Terry Pratchett's Hogfather is a Must-Read All Year Round
Terry Pratchett’s Hogfather is a novel I can’t help but love.
Published in 1996, it’s the twentieth book in Pratchett’s popular Discworld series, and tells the story of Death and his granddaughter Susan trying to save Christmas and rescue Santa…erm…I mean, save Hogwatch and rescue the Hogfather.
Full of witty humour, clever satire, and relatable characters, the Hogfather skewers fantasy tropes…

I don't think people understand how hard it is to be funny. like I sometimes spend hours imagining all the cool things I could say to people, and most of the time it works. but it's hard to be creative in that way, you have to think on your feet. and sometimes you don't have something smart to say so you have to rely on your stash of witty one-liners.
and it's even harder when you're an author and you have to WRITE that stuff, and make it feel natural.

We have always stood at the beck and call of a dimension bigger than the widest spectrum of multiverses, yet here we are barging into neighbouring fields, our lust for territories undying, our love for lands unconditional and irrevocable.
The struggle is so real I swear I could cry.
