I know that everyone loves the 21 WJC USA team. But come ON. The Canada team just absolutely adores each other and you can see their chemistry.
So, the captain is supposed to be the one who accepts the trophy.
But the alternates could tell Bowen was not emotionally okay. So what do they do? They throw down their gloves and sticks to stand beside him and support him. ITS TOO FUCKING MUCH.

She isn’t from Canada and doesn’t quite understand why the entire hockey world goes crazy for the World Juniors tournament every year, but her boyfriend is from Canada and he played in the World Juniors tournament in 2021. He gets into it every year, and even places bets with his teammates that have played in the World Juniors, mostly Trevor and Mason though.
Jamie’s team lost to the US in 2021, and it was a rough loss for the entire team. He’s told her so many times that he wishes he was able to do more to help his team win.
She didn’t meet Jamie until after the tournament but he is always talking about it. She knows how much he loves the World Juniors, and she knows how much he hates watching Canada lose.
The idea doesn’t come to her until she’s digging through their closet to find something to wear to go out with her friends later that night. She finds Jamie’s Team Canada jersey in the back with his old Ducks jerseys.
A smirk forms on her lips as the idea slowly forms in her head. She grabs the jersey from the closet and a pair of lacey red panties from her underwear drawer and puts both of them on. She wears nothing but the panties under the jersey.
If Jamie comes home from watching the game with his teammates all mad that Canada lost to Czechia, he won’t be as soon as he sees her in his jersey with barely anything on underneath.
The game ended fifteen minutes ago so Jamie will be home any minute since he was just down the street at Trevor’s with Mason. She makes her way out to the kitchen to make some coffee since he was out early this morning for practice then went right to Trevor’s for the game.
She stands in the kitchen in front of the coffee machine when the front door opens. She hears Jamie’s voice before she sees him.
“No, Z,” he is saying. “I am not going to wear your jersey for arrivals at our next game. I never agreed to- um, we can argue about this later.”
Jamie must’ve seen her because he hangs up the phone really quickly. She turns her head and sees a flustered Jamie Drysdale standing behind her in front of the door. His eyes rake her entire body. Her bare legs and loose jersey that is too big on her. Her hair is in a bun on top of her head so his last name can clearly be seen.
“Hi, baby,” she happily says. “How was your morning? I heard about Canada’s loss.”
“Yeah, it was a rough, uh, loss,” Jamie stammers. “Um, is that my Canada jersey? Why are you wearing it?”
She finishes making Jamie a cup of coffee and walks over to him. His eyes widen when he sees the Team Canada logo on her belly. “I thought you might be a little upset about Canada losing so I wanted to surprise you,” she explains as she hands him the cup of coffee. “Are you surprised?”
Probably out of instinct, Jamie takes the coffee from her. His eyes are on the jersey on her body. “I’m definitely something,” he mumbles. “Jesus, (Y/N).”
The most innocent smile forms on her face. “Glad I was able to surprise you,” she says. “Do you want something to eat? Or did you eat at Trevor’s?”
“I was too stressed out to eat at Trevor’s,” he replies. “I can grab a snack or something later though. I’m a little tired between being up early for practice then yelling at Trevor’s TV.”
She shakes her head. “I can grab you something,” she tells him as she heads to the cabinet. “Do you want sweet or savory?”
(Y/N) reaches up to move things around to see what they have for snacks and feels the jersey ride up. Her ass is definitely exposed and Jamie probably has a nice view of the lace panties that are under the jersey.
There’s the sound of a mug being put down behind her then there’s a hand on her ass and a hand on her waist on top of the jersey. Jamie presses his entire body against hers.
“Did you actually wear this jersey to surprise me or did you wear this jersey because you wanted to get fucked?” he asks in her ear. “Because I’ll gladly bend you over the counter right now and give you what you want.”
She turns her head and meets Jamie’s eyes. There’s a fire behind them that she rarely ever sees — usually after a rough loss. His usually bright eyes are dark with lust.
With a moment of hesitation because she’s unsure what she’s going to start, (Y/N) softly says, “I always want to get fucked by you, but this was genuinely meant as a surprise. I always want you though. Counter or no counter. Jersey or no jersey. I want you."
Jamie processes what she said and blinks before he turns her around. His eyes drop to the jersey that practically swallows her. She doesn't understand how Jamie finds this attractive. It's big enough on her that she could get away with wearing it as a dress.
"You look so pretty in my jersey," Jamie tells her. His voice has dropped to a whisper. "The things I would do to you in this jersey."
"So do it and stop talking."
His lips are on hers as soon as the last word passes her lips. The kiss is rough and feverish as soon as their lips connect. She lets out a soft groan as Jamie presses himself completely against her. He slots a thigh between her legs and she has to refrain from grinding against it.
One of Jamie’s hands cups her jaw while the other is on her thigh. He lifts her leg up around his waist and she jumps onto the counter behind her without breaking the kiss. She grips the collar of his t-shirt and his hands slither up underneath the jersey.
He cups one of her breasts and groans when he realizes that she isn’t wearing a bra under the jersey. She swears she feels the bulge that’s resting against her thigh grows a bit at the realization.
When she smirks into the kiss that follows, Jamie nips at her bottom lip. She yelps in surprise but he quickly kisses it softly.
Jamie pushes the jersey up her body so she leans forward a bit so he can get it over her butt since she’s sitting on it. She laughs and wraps her arms around her boyfriend’s neck so she doesn’t fall.
The laugh is quickly cut off when he slides his fingers down her belly and into the waistband of her lace panties. She gasps when his fingers run through her already soaked folds. She spreads her legs wider for him without Jamie needing to ask.
He breaks the kiss and rests his forehead on her for a second. She leans backward until her back collides with the wall behind her. Jamie bites his swollen lip and hooks his fingers in the waistband of her underwear. He pulls the lace off her body and throws it somewhere on the ground.
“Tell me to stop if you get uncomfortable,” Jamie reminds her. “You know I will.”

If she slams the back of her head against the wall, she doesn’t notice because her entire body is overwhelmed with pleasure. Her vision goes completely white for a second before she comes down from her high.

introducing octavia
Octavia Wren Hughes was born September 9, 2003 she was born first and 8 minutes later Luke was born.
Octavia never once played on a girls hockey team growing up as Luke and her did not want to be on separate teams so Ellen had Octavia join the boys team and she never left.
Octavia has always enjoyed anything with art and from a young age anyone could tell the talent she had with painting, it became a passion that she loved almost as much as hockey.
2021 was the year that Octavia and Luke were drafted in the NHL, the day they dreamed of but also dreaded because they knew their was like a 4% percent chance they got on the same team, meaning they would have to be apart.
Octavia Wren Hughes was drafted the second overall pick of the 2021 NHL Draft to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Luke Warren Hughes was drafted fourth overall of the 2021 NHL Draft to the New Jersey Devils.
Octavia committed to the University of Michigan with Luke, no one in the family knowing she denied the offer to join the Maple Leafs right away wanting one more year with her twin.
Octavia spend the year of collage enjoying as many moments with her twin brother knowing it was most likely the last time they ever play on the same team.
Octavia and Luke have always been attached at the hip, and most of the times just look at each other and understand what the other wants or is saying.
Octavia is the most similar to Jack, she got a lot of his sass and they share a lot of the same play style on the ice. The two tease each other the most and love to compete against each other.
Quinn has always been a good grounding place for Octavia, Octavia always felt like Quinn always understood all of his siblings extremely well and always knew what to do and say.
Quinn is the person Octavia looks up to the most and is always trying to make proud, seeing how much Quinn has accomplished from his hard work and seeing how Quinn deserves all his success.
Octavia went to the 2021 WJC without Luke as he was injured and her parents couldn’t come because of Covid so it was just her. The team had a hotel next to the rink so she could walk there. The first night she couldn’t sleep so she walked to the rink and scanned her pass and went to go onto the ice when she noticed someone else on the ice and that’s where she met Simon Nemec. The two got to know each other well as they spent almost every night on the ice playing hockey together while talking.
When she got drafted her phone blew up from phone calls and messages from the Leafs team, they were all very accepting and excited for her to join the team.
When Octavia joined the team for the first time she fit in extremely well, The whole team loved her and her sarcastic comments and she just fit with the team very well.
Octavia was reminded a lot of Jack when she met Mitch and she never minded listening to Mitch talk for a long time, most of people couldn’t ever stand listening to someone they long and Mitch really appreciated it.
Octavia loves dogs she always has, and when she went to her first team party seeing four dogs there, she was so happy and the team quickly realized how much she loved dogs as she sat with the dogs all night playing with them.
Octavia has a personality that is very different than Jospeh and it surprises everyone when they saw how close the rookie got with the goalie.
Octavia and Matthew got extremely close as they were in the same draft class, the tow went to the developmental camp together and we’re roommates so they because fast friends.
The team noticed that she sometimes just looks sad and then noticed how happy she was to talk about her brothers especially Luke, or when she is on call with Luke how happy she looked with her twin, they realized she was missing her twin brother a lot.
When Octavia moved to Toronto and the days she had some free time she would go to places she went to as a kid, and sometimes would go the outside rink that was Luke’s favorite to feel a little closer to him.
Octavia has never been a fan of shopping like her mother has, so a lot of them Ellen will just buy stuff for Octavia to wear, but Octavia has always loved leather jackets and sneakers and her closets are mostly leather jackets and sneakers.
Octavia has always loved tattoos and when she turned old enough she slowly started to get small and easy to hide tattoos. Her first tattoo was a number she got on the inside of her wrist that is usally covered by her bracelets but she got a 6, as her whole family has all played with number 6 and there is six of them.

- since we established she was drafted in 2020 i think jack starts to pine after her in early 2021 and she finally gives him an ounce of attention in the summer of 2022 when dawson is like he’s not that BAD and i’m sick of hearing him WHINE
they start hooking up during the 22-23 season and that season/summer he starts actually falling, the next season he starts trying to convince her to give him a chance at a serious relationship (the media edit)
she’s completely against it due to professionalism and she was already feeling guilty when she would pull her hits on him
but she falls real hard during that season and it’s what finally pushes her to request her trade and it’s by complete dumb luck that everything before happened to make it so the devs wanted her
they officially start dating after a HEFTY conversation following their first game playing together in which they quite literally slayed so hard the romantic chemistry revived

i think they debuted her fairly soon after drafting her either way
- she’s canadian!!! i wanna say she already knew dawson because they played together growing up or they played together during wjc
i feel like she’d be an exception and be allowed in mens wjc since she was projected to be drafted and the tournament is used for scouts
which is why she’s so attached
she also plays on the women’s national team once the rangers are eliminated from contention most years
- she went through a lot of sports as a kid and her parents always tried to push her to do the more fem or generically girl things but when she scored her first ever goal in girls house she decided she wanted this to be her life
- even tho she didn’t i think that she aced chem in high school
her favourite part was making elephant toothpaste and spraying dawson in the face (i’ve apparently decided they grew up together because now thinking of it it’s adorable that they went 18 and 19 in their draft)

trevor was in canada at the 2021 world junior hockey championships and the tournament started on the december 25th 2020 and the gold medal game was held on january 5th 2021.
bean was in michigan still. they watched the games via a livestream. most likely on the 27th they do a video call and zephyr "opens" the few presents that were specifically from trevor and their friends. cole and alex def join in at sometime to say hi.

figured i'd take the chance to plug the fics i've written for this ship while everyone is here lmaoo. more on the way too, i have plans for concussion fic this summer and others
a. the golden trio series
wrote the first one of this series right as wjc 2021 was happening, so you'll get to experience the rollercoaster of emotions that i went through within the two weeks of the dylan/bo captaincy. first two installments are platonically focused, but hopefully capture their vibes and of course, are the basis of my headcanon for them!
the latest two installments are expanded upon below, as they focus on dylan and bo's relationship

the aftermath of bo's first nhl goal...not really. not unless you count scoring on your own net to be your first goal. dylan helps him pick up the pieces of himself, on the phone after.
this one was written really quickly but is one of my faves! takes place during the horrid 2021 season for the sabres, but dylan doesn't give a shit about that when bo is hurting. my first official fic for them too ig, so you get to see the really early headcanons, again.
c. under the lights tonight
this is just a really really sappy "dylan took bo to whitehorse and fucked him under the northern lights" fic. that's it. no other plot. good if you want to read a short little thing of them being in love. sorry if the porn is bad lmao

they're written in this one as a background pairing to kent johnson/owen power BUT i really do like how i portrayed their relationship in this one. it's pretty good if i do say so myself. includes bowen byram concussion angst, dylan cozens not knowing how to play video games, and both of them being too hopelessly in love with one another as they try to soothe a spiralling owen power. kind of how i see them now tbh? they do end up living together in this fic, so that'll be inspo for how i characterize them moving forward

I didn’t really care much for Bowen during that game but now... My heart is absolutely crushed..

Not sure what you’ve heard so far about the Canada World Junior Hockey sexual assault so here’s a general run down of the latest developments.
Dillon Dube and Carter Hart took leave of absences from their teams. The London Ontario police publicly state that the 5 players are to surrender to face criminal charges - at this point it looks very suspicious (I believe Dube left 2 days before the police made their announcement and Hart 1 day before). Then Alex Formenton is granted an indefinite leave. Michael McLeod and Cal Foote aren’t at practice then it’s announced that they both took a leave of absence. It looks even worse and it can’t be a coincidence timing wise.
The London Police says that they will hold a press conference on February 5 which lines up with the 2 week timeline for the 5 players to hand themselves in. Forementon is pictured at the police headquarters with his lawyers and is charged. The other 4 haven’t shown up yet but we’ll see before Feb 5.
It’s unlikely that other players from the 2018 WJC will take an absence before then so these 5 are the likely perpetrators. Knowing this, it makes sense why no teams wanted to trade for Hart, a healthy young decent goalie, during the summer and why Formenton wasn’t traded or resigned by Ottawa despite having a 18 goal season.
Okay yes I’ve read & heard all this except the press conference on Feb 5. And apparently McLeod & Foote are off the Devils roster (?). And also, I know there was SOME interest in Carter I think in the 2021/2022 season BUT he locked in with the Flyers until this season I believe. So. Yeah. & I can’t speak to Formenton because this is the first I’m hearing of him. Clearly my hockey knowledge is limited to certain teams hahah
I remember hearing about these allegations a WHILE ago and I swear I thought Hart was in the clear because there were other names going around. So I’m playing catch up now and trying to get the facts straight so thank you for this! I read on twitter briefly that there were actually 8 players involved but that’s the only mention I’ve seen of it so 🤷🏻♀️
Anxious for Feb 5 and to hear what all this amounts to.

if u didn’t know, it’s me that all the posts about hate and personal information are talking about.
i’ve been like sick for the last three hours pretty much, overthinking, trying to understand, trying to tell myself it’s okay. i honestly thought i was going insane when i got the anonymous message with my personal information in it, like i had been staring at my computer all day and it was my mind playing tricks on me. but it wasn’t my brain playing tricks on me or some dream i cant wake up from.
for starters, thank you for defending me. i was and still am extremely terrified of the whole thing. i have literally only been talking to a couple of people privately for the last three hours since it happened. i am still iffy about being on tumblr right now and anons are off for at least today.
it started as banter in my opinion about the usa wjc game and i love banter, i think it’s fun to mess around and tease, but i think certain lines are there and boundaries. my boundaries were completely crossed. it literally felt like my personal information was being used as a way to taunt me and scare me.
and i don’t want to accuse anyone of lying, but an anon did reach out to someone else and say that the personal information was from my previous account. but that just isn’t making sense to me which is why it’s continuing to freak me out. my personal information has not been shared on tumblr since 2021, the account this person was referring to has been deactivated for multiple years at this point and i do not interact with anyone from that account or fandom due to past issues. so that just doesn’t seem right to me.
saying that it is at the end of the day, my fault or implying that it’s normal for information to be doxxed on the internet does not make it okay either.
i don’t really know what else to say. i don’t think im going to be active on here for the night or parts of tomorrow, i might pop in tomorrow, i really don’t know. i’m just going to continue to decompress because this is a lot for me to process. i honestly don’t feel safe on here at this time.
i’m going to watch the devils and eat a pb&j before kenz and my boyfriend get upset that i haven’t eaten tonight.

same the 2021 teams (usa and canada) were impeccable
the whole trevor/jamie narrative starting from that tournament always makes me laugh like it’s too good
