How does Peril fit into your Blister wind AU? Since Scarlet + Blister are allied do Glory and Starflight interact with Peril a little more?

Scarlets, not exactly around to be an ally anymore. Whilst lumped together as the newest queens of the pack, Blister and Ruby have no allyship- nothing aside from a few terse yet cordial letters to one another. Ruby is trying to rebuild the skywing queendom post-war, and deal with the few remaining supporters her mother still has. Blister is waiting for that to die down before proposing Ruby with a deal, maybe one that'll give her answers on what happened to Scarlet... Peril is not wanted back in the Sky queendom, with no one to go to and her brief search for the dragonets (mostly clay) thwarted, she roams the Sand-Sky border, aimless and lost.

I just gave the entire SkyWing royal family names.

Now, at first glance, this doesn’t seem all that absurd. How many unnamed SkyWing royals could there possibly be? One prince? Two?

Well according to the wiki, Scarlet has three unnamed sisters, two unnamed sons, and eleven unnamed daughters.

So, I named them, because I’m just Like This™️.

Scarlet’s sisters: Aurum, Copper and Ember. The naming theme I went with was colors.

Her daughters: clears throat Tourmaline, Amethyst, Jasper, Citrine, Halite, Jadeite, Merlot, Mica, Rhodonite, Selenite and Spinel, all named for types of gems. I know that Tourmaline is technically canon, but… shhhhhhhhh

Her sons: Altitude and Cardinal. I didn’t give them a naming theme because her already named sons were Vermillion (a color) and Hawk (a bird).

I like how Scarlet was set up as an imposing figure, one of the longest-reigning SkyWing queens in history. And then she literally doesn't accomplish anything meaningful in the entire time we know her.

Her biggest influence over the story is that she raised Peril. And even there, she tried to manipulate Peril into helping her take back the throne and fucked that up too. Then, like 10 minutes later, she got her neck snapped in a fight that she had previously taken immense precautions to avoid. Precautions that also failed spectacularly.

Truly, the Ozai of the Wings of Fire universe.

we truly don't appreciate how good scarlet was when it came to names. pyrite being named after something that's known as fool's gold? ingenious. just the name peril? very badass. vermilion being a shade of red like scarlet? ruby also being a shade of red?? ruby also being a gemstone, which is what tourmaline is??? literally so iconic.
