The Unwavering Bonds
Paul Lahote x reader
Tumblr media
Paul Lahote had always been fiercely protective of his imprint, Y/N. Their love had weathered every storm, and they had built a life together in La Push. However, there was one part of Y/N's life that Paul found himself drawn to the most—their adopted child, Aaliyah.
It was a frost-kissed evening when Y/N and Paul found themselves wrapped in the warmth of their home, Aaliyah's giggles filling the air. As the fire crackled, Aaliyah curled up next to Paul, her eyes shining with innocence and love. Paul couldn't help but marvel at the bond Y/N had formed with Aaliyah, and how seamlessly he had embraced their little family.
"Is everything okay, Paul?" Y/N's voice brought him back to the present, her eyes reflecting concern.
Paul took Y/N's hand and drew her close, his touch grounding her. "I just can't help but be amazed by you and Aaliyah. The love you both share... it's truly something special."
Y/N's smile illuminated the room, her affectionate gaze embracing Paul. "We're so lucky to have you, Paul. Aaliyah adores you, you know."
The warmth of their exchange lingered long after Aaliyah had drifted to sleep. That same night, as they prepared for bed, Paul wrapped Y/N in a loving embrace, his heart brimming with emotions he found hard to express with words alone.
"Y/N, I love you and Aaliyah more than anything in this world. You give my life purpose, and seeing the way you care for her... it's like a reflection of the incredible person you are."
Y/N nestled into Paul's embrace, her touch a comforting balm to his soul. "We're a team, Paul. Our love is what shapes our family, and I wouldn't have it any other way."
In the days that followed, Paul found himself seeking every opportunity to bond with Aaliyah, witnessing her growth and relishing in her laughter. Whether it was teaching her to skip stones on the beach or telling her bedtime stories, Paul reveled in the unique connection he had forged with Aaliyah. Every moment spent with her deepened his love for Y/N and reinforced his commitment to their family.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Paul found himself engrossed in a game of hide-and-seek with Aaliyah. Her giggles filled the clearing as she dashed behind the trees, her infectious joy lighting up the twilight. It was during one of these carefree moments that Paul realized how deeply he had come to love Aaliyah, not as an adopted child, but as his own.
As the game drew to a close, Aaliyah bounded towards Paul, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I found you, Paul! You're the best at hiding!"
Paul scooped Aaliyah into his arms, spinning her in the air as her laughter danced around them. "You're the best seeker, Aaliyah! You've got a talent for finding happiness wherever you go."
Later that night, after Aaliyah had drifted off to sleep, Paul found Y/N gazing at the stars from their porch. He joined her, the serenity of the night enveloping them in a tranquil embrace.
"You seem lost in thought, Paul," Y/N remarked, her voice gentle and reassuring.
Paul took a moment before speaking, his eyes fixated on the constellations above. "I never imagined I could love someone as much as I love you and Aaliyah. The way she looks at the world with such wonder... it's like she's filled a void I never knew existed."
Y/N turned to face Paul, her eyes filled with tenderness. "Paul, you've given Aaliyah a love she had only dreamed of. She sees you as her father, cares for you as deeply as anyone possibly could."
In that moment, the weight of Paul's emotions lifted, replaced by an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the family they had created. Their unwavering bonds transcended bloodlines, weaving a tapestry of love and kinship that was unbreakable.
As the night surrendered to the dawn, Paul and Y/N knew that their love, enfolded within the embrace of Aaliyah's innocence, was the most powerful force in their lives—a force that would guide them through every joy and challenge, uniting them in the unyielding warmth of family.

No Warnings for the Prologue
Authors Note: I know I’ve been AWOL but all my creative energy has been spent and this has helped renew it so enjoy!
Tumblr media
“Sulli!” The social worker exclaimed to the young girl in the car,  “She's a bit difficult if you haven't noticed.”
“I want to go home!” The little girl screamed from the car. She didn’t know Sue, she just wanted to be back in her home. Her mom had promised she would be back, they should have just waited for her, Sullivan thought.
“It’s just for a couple of weeks, Sue, you’re the only family member listed. The state is already working on finding her a home.” The old lady reasoned with the only known relative. Supposedly her mom's sister. Though she had never heard of her until an hour ago.
“If she has nowhere else to go, then of course.” Sue looked flustered as she tried to put into words her thoughts. “I just, I didn’t know..”
“Thank you,” Ms. Julie, or at least that's what she called herself, sighed in relief, and reached into the car with a stern look on her face, muttering at the little girl, “Behave.”
Yeah, right, Sullivan thought.
Sullivan started screaming her little head off as Julie tried to pry the ten year old out of the car. The older woman held her by the waist as the little girl held on the seatbelt for dear life. She didn’t understand why she had no choice, her dad always said she had a choice.
Sue frowned at the scene in front of her as her kids and their friends came out to see the commotion.
“What is all that---” Paul froze, looking at the little girl who had lost her battle against the social worker, and flopped to the ground. She was staring wide eyed at him, like a little deer in headlights. Sullivan took the opportunity to scramble under the car while everyone stared in shock at the man looking at her in awe.
Goodluck dragging me out now, Ms. Julie, she thought to herself.
“Sulli!” Julie shouted, “Get out from there now!”
“No!” She yelled back.
“Let me try.” Sullivan heard a deep voice say as a pair of beat up runners came into view. The rough voice sounded calming, almost. But there was no way he was going to get her to come out.
“Be my guest,” Julie said exasperated.
“Do you like cookies?” The man asked as he sat down on the gravel, with his back against the car.
Sullivan glared at him though he couldn’t see her. She was not falling for this trick, not again, “I'm not allowed to have cookies.”
He scoffed before asking, “Says who?”
“That lady.” Sulli said with the most preteen attitude she could muster. She had been stuck with Julie all day and couldn’t take it anymore.
Speaking of the devil, Julie asked the man, “You really want to put sugar in this kid?”
“Beats her screaming like you kidnapped her.” The man snapped at the social worker, before softly saying to Sullivan. “You can have a cookie, the biggest one you can find.”
“Promise?” She asked, sticking her arm out from under the car with her pinky up. Pinky promises were practically law in her family, they could never be broken. That's how she knew her mom would be back for her, she had pinky promised.
The man shifted, lifting his hand out of the gravel and wrapped his large pinky around her small one. She pulled her hand back like she had been burned, the heat of his skin catching her off guard. Though she trusted him nonetheless.
Sulli poked her head out from under the car and looked up, he wasn’t really a man. Maybe a teenager. He looked down at her with complexity before softening his gaze, “How does chocolate chip sound?”
She smiled up at him, “Those ones are my favourite.”
“Yeah?” He grinned at her response, “We’ve got a whole bunch inside.”
“Inside?” She frowned, “I want to stay out here.”
She knew as soon as she went inside, Julie would leave her here and her mom would have no way of finding her.
“Sweetie, why don’t you come inside and we can try and get in touch with your mom. I still have her phone number.” Sue offered, and Julie dutifully agreed. The two of them seemed to be in cahoots with each other.
Sulli looked back at Paul, “Does she lie a lot?”
Paul shook his head, “Sue never lies.”
“Okay.” she agreed, climbing out from the car and dusting off her now dirty clothes.
“Is this your bag?” Paul asked, holding up the animal printed backpack. She nodded, and squeezed past him into the car so that she could grab the stuffed animal she had dropped in her fit of rage. An old stuffed rabbit she's had since she was a toddler.
Sulli let Paul lead her inside the small home and she stuck to his side through the stares of all the people. They were all so big.
He brought her into the kitchen and told her to sit at the table as he shuffled about the kitchen, in drawers and cupboards before walking back to her.
His hands full of random things that he placed on the table as he sat next to her, putting a plate with a giant chocolate chip cookie on it, “I’ve got some paper, and crayons for you too. You like to draw?”
She nodded, and grabbed one of the white sheets of paper and a few crayons, “My dad said there's wolves here, is that true?”
“Very true.” Paul confirmed, leaning on his palm as he watched her.
“You have a different cookie.” Sulli pointed out, it looked like it had more chocolate in it.
Paul looked from his cookie to hers, “Want to try it?”
She nodded as Paul was already handing it to her. She took a bite and said,“I like that one.”
“You can have it.” Paul offered.
“Two?” She questioned.
Paul chuckled, “Yeah, kid.”
“My name is not kid.” She said snarkily, but nonetheless, split the cookie that was originally his in half, before doing the same to her own, and putting the two halves on his plate, so that they could share. She didn’t want him to be without a cookie.
“What's your name then?” He asked curiously, smiling as she pushed the plate towards him.
“Sulli.”
“Your name is Sulli?” He laughed, causing her to frown.
“Don’t laugh!” She exclaimed before she launched her pencil crayon at him. “My real name is Sullivan, but my dad said Sully suits me better.”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” He apologized, before telling her, “My name is Paul.”
“That's an old man's name.” Sullivan griped, looking back at her drawing in progress.
“Yeah, well I’m not an old man, am I?”
“You’re like thirty, that's old.” She explained.
“I’m nineteen.” Paul responded with a chuckle before asking, “How old are you?”
Sullivan looked up at him, “Ten, almost eleven. My birthday is next month, on Christmas Eve.”
“You must get twice the amount of presents then.” He said.
“Paul,” The lady named Sue shook her head at the statement as she walked into the kitchen. Paul grimaced as he looked at the expression on Sullivans's face.
Sullivan frowned, “No, just one, like everybody else.”
“One present?” Paul asked, confused. Sullivan wasn’t sure why, everyone only got one present. That's what her parents told her. She nodded her head in response.  Paul continued with another question, “What about Santa? I’m sure you’ve been good enough to get something from him.”
“Santas not real.” She said with a roll of her eyes,  “He’s made up to get kids to behave, my mom told me that.”
“Oh,” Paul's smile faded at her response. “You sure you’re ten?”
“I’m sure.” She said, putting her pencil crayon off the side of her finished drawing. It was a mixture of woodland creatures. The biggest being a wolf.
Paul looked at the drawing, and let out a whistle of admiration,“I like that. Can I keep it?”
“Can we call my mom now?” She said, looking towards Sue as she slid the paper to Paul. She had no use for the drawing herself.
“Why don’t we try in the morning, sweetie?” Sue smiled at her as she sat with Sullivan and Paul at the table,  “She’s probably busy with, um, your dad. That's what Ms. Julie said.”
“My dads in prison.” She admitted, there was no way that her mom wouldn't be answering the phone. They barely talk to each other anymore, if anything, they use her to send messages,  “I talked to him last week,”
“Oh,” Sue said carefully.
Sullivan shrugged, grabbing a new piece of paper to draw on, “He told me he would be back soon, he just has to talk to a judge first.”
“Right, well, did your mom tell you where she was going?” Sue asked.
Sullivan nodded, “She said she had to visit Mr. Drake. He lives in Seattle, but she said she would be back by Friday. So I should be home by then, she doesn’t like it when I don’t tell her I’m leaving.”
“You leave often?” Paul asked curiously.
She looked to Paul and answered, “Yeah, I have to feed Mrs.Felix’s cat. She’s old and forgets to.”
“You like cats?” He smiled, and she could tell he was trying to get the subject off of the topic of her parents. She didn’t mind though.
She nodded, “They’re my favourite animal. I wanted one, but my dad’s allergic.”
“You’ll be able to have your own someday.” Paul said thoughtfully.
“Do you want a cat, Paul?” Sue asked knowingly. A teasing smile on her face as she watched Sullivan look up at him with curiosity.
He shrugged, “I’m not opposed to it.”
“You should get an American Bobtail cat,”  Sullivan said excitedly.
Paul laughed before asking, “Why's that?”
“They have dog-like personalities so you can take them on walks and stuff.” Sullivan explained, last year for her birthday, she received a book on all the different types of cats. She memorised all the ones she liked and while the American bobtail was one she liked, it wasn’t her favourite.
Paul chuckled, “Is that the cat you want?”
“No, I want a Bombay cat, they’re very affectionate even though they look like black panthers.” She explained. Bombays have always been her favourite.
“You’re very intelligent, Sulli.” Sue told her.
“I know.” Sullivan agreed.
“Good morning!” A soft, feminine voice exclaimed. Sulli turned to see a young woman walking into the kitchen with a picnic basket. Her shyness took over as she leaned into Paul's arm. A small chuckle emitted from the older boy as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
“It’s just Emily, Sulli.” Paul whispered in her ear. “She's nice too.”
Emily stopped in her tracks as she witnessed Paul with the little girl, “Whos this?”
“Sulli.” She said her name quietly. She didn't like the curious stare Emily was giving her and Paul. She turned back to Paul, worry in her green eyes as she shrugged his arm off of her shoulders to keep from overheating, “You have a fever.”
“No, I don’t. I’m just always warm.” Paul reassured her before looking at Emily, “We need to talk.”

I craaaave protective Jake pls 🥺
"jake," you let out a breathy laugh as he slid both of his hands onto your hips, guiding you through the crowd of people at your sister's graduation party at the cullen's house.
he just rolled his eyes, sitting down at one of the couches and pulling you into his lap so he could hold you close to him, "you're being a bit dramatic, don't you think?" you asked teasingly, smiling as you peeked up at him and he just shook his head, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek.
"not dramatic," he reassured, laughing softly as he squeezed you closer to him, eliciting a series of giggles from you, "gotta make sure my girl stays safe, yea? don't need you gettin' hurt." he explained, noticeably relaxing as you leaned into him, resting your head on his shoulder.
the two of you stayed like that for a moment before alice came down to the stairs, smiling when she saw you before her expression dropped as she had a vision.
you were quick to get up, jake getting up right behind you as he slid his hand into the back pocket of your jeans. the two of you quickly followed alice into carlisle's office where the rest of the cullens were.
alice quickly explained her vision to everyone while you sat down in one of the chairs, jake coming to stand behind you and slide his hands over your shoulders, "so there's a newborn army coming here?" you emphasized, both you and your sister letting out a heavy sighs as you realized how dangerous the situation was for everyone involved.
"the wolves will help out," jake volunteered from behind you, gently squeezing your shoulders as you looked over your shoulder to glare at him.
"jacob-" you started but he quickly cut you off, not at all interested in hearing your argument against him.
"i'm not letting some clan of rogue vampires get anywhere near you," he explained before adding, "we'll be fine." he reassured, leaning down to press a soft kiss to the crown of your head as you huffed and rolled your eyes, already knowing there was no use in arguing with him.
"that would be very helpful," carlisle said softly, "but you'll need training. are you all able to come train tomorrow with jasper? y/n, you and bella can come and watch." carlisle suggested, offering you a soft smile as you let out a heavy exhale before nodding.

Paul's Imprint
What being Paul’s imprint would be like.
A/N: Not proofread. Hope you guys enjoy this and let me know if you would like me to do the other pack members or the Cullens(what being their mates/bloodsingers would be like). I really appreciate all of the likes and reposts! Thank you all so much and I am glad you like my fics :)
Tumblr media
Being Paul’s imprint would require A LOT of patience.
He has a soft spot for you, so his anger wouldn’t be taken out on you or directed much toward you, but that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t see his bad side. When someone in the pack pisses him off he usually gets upset and phases. They fight it out, and then he comes home. He is either still upset or wants serious attention. If it’s the former expect some attitude and him taking it out on basically everything else but you. He might be aggressive with things, slamming things down and being loud. You would probably need to give him some time to cool off some more before trying to comfort him. If it’s the latter then you will have to have a cuddle session, his favorite position is laying in the bed or couch with his head in your chest and you playing with his hair and talking about your day. Your voice soothes him and calms him down, so he likes it when you talk to him. He could care less what you talk about, you could tell him about your day, or how much you hate that one girl in your math class because she chews gum loudly, you could literally talk about anything and he would be content.
Being Paul’s imprint means a lot of love and affection.
When he isn’t on patrol, he is with you. He will be on you and hugging you all of the time. Now if you have trauma with affection or just don't like to be touched he would 100% respect your boundaries, but he would try and find small ways to show and get affection. Like holding your hand or even just touching his pinky against yours when you are next to each other. He would find ways that wouldn’t make you uncomfortable and was still getting his needs met. He doesn’t mind showing his affection in front of others either, he could give less of a fuck if the pack teases him. He loves you and doesn’t care who knows it. At the beginning of your relationship, he was very careful, learning what you liked and what you disliked. He was also very subtle with his affection but he still craved it just as much as he does now. He would softly play with the hair on the back of your head while talking by the fire, small and soft touches here and there, he would DEFINITELY do that thing where guys softly touch your waist while moving behind you.
Being Paul's imprint means you would spend a lot of time with the other imprints.
You would probably be close with the other imprints. Having a werewolf boyfriend isn’t exactly normal. You might feel alone or lost a bit in the beginning. Paul was one of the first to phase, which means you most likely were also one of the first imprints. Especially if you knew Paul before the transition. Emily was one of the first imprints you met, she was so sweet and welcoming to you, and your bond turned into a sibling relationship. She treated you like family right away and made sure you knew that you were always welcome. You met the others as they became a part of the family and now you spend a lot of your time with them. You do a bunch of group things together, shopping, baking, cooking, movie nights, and of course bonfires. You all enjoy each other's company. The boys are on patrol a lot and it helps everyone get their minds off of missing them.
Being Paul’s imprint means late-night texts and calls.
Again, the boys are on patrol any time of the day or night. When Paul takes the night shift he makes sure to update you and let you know that he is safe. He is also expecting the same from you. He misses your voice, especially when your schedule gets busy and you can’t see each other as much. Sometimes he’s able to slip away for a second to see you, give you a hug and a kiss and then he is back out patrolling. He does it more often if he is patrolling near your house, mainly so he can do it quickly before Sam notices that he is missing and makes him come back.
Being Paul’s imprint means he is VERY protective of you.
He is already a protective person, it doesn’t matter if it is his friend, family, or even a stranger. He will take a bullet for someone he doesn’t know, it’s just in his nature. For you on the other hand, he would take that bullet and then hunt the person who shot it down until they beg you for forgiveness for even daring to THINK about hurting you, all the while he is still bloody and hurt. His protectiveness also correlates with his jealousy. He is a very jealous person when he is in a relationship. Even though you are his imprint he still can’t help but let the green-eyed monster loose whenever another person hits on you or checks you out. He knew you were hot, but you were for his eyes only. Being a werewolf means having to control your anger, but Paul was never really good at that, so most of the time it was you who had to calm him down. You didn’t want your boyfriend to maul someone, especially not in public. You were the only person who could calm him down fully, you would reach for him with your soft touch and everything else would fade away. Sometimes all you had to do was give him a stern look and he would cool himself off not wanting to make you upset. It bothered you sometimes how angry he would get, you tell him all the time that he is the only one for you and he has nothing to worry about but he still lets his jealousy get in the way of reasoning.

The Incident - Paul Lahote x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
A little one shot that I just couldn't stop writing. A good angst to fluff (btw my fics will never be all angst, im too soft). Also do not fear, Im working on a Sam fic and part 3 to not letting you go. But you let ME know what you think of this one ❤️ 2K words
"My SISTER, Paul. She's my fucking SISTER!" you yelled, voice hoarse as your throat cracked.
"I could give a SHIT LESS WHAT SHE IS. YOU'RE. NOT. GOING." He screamed, jaw taut as he tried his best to subside the tremors that were threatening to take over his body.
You ignored the teeth he bared, shaking your head and scoffing.
"Aren't you tired of this?! I'm going over there. I HAVE to know she's safe."
"YOU SERIOUSLY THINK I'LL JUST SIT BY AND WATCH MY IMPRINT GO TO A PLACE WHERE I CAN'T PROTECT HER? WHAT ABOUT ME KNOWING THAT YOU'RE SAFE?? HUH?? YOU'RE SICK IF YOU THINK I WOULD BE OKAY WITH THIS!"
"Sick?!? SICK?!? LETS TALK ABOUT HOW 'SICK' IT IS THAT YOU WOULD WANT TO KILL HER AND THE BABY. THATS MY FAMILY PAUL!"
"AND WERE NOT?"
It had been like this for a week straight. Ever since the pack stormed through the door announcing their mission to kill Bella and the unborn child within her.
You felt as though your two families had been pinned against each other. Head spinning at the idea of there being a 'choice' between your sister and imprint.
On one hand you were desperate to make sure she was alright, but also exhausted at the never ending battle with your boyfriend.
Sure you had talked to Bella over the phone, but you didn't buy into the lies like your father had. Even though you knew significantly more than he did, she still attempted to downplay the situation. She had done this numerous times since getting thrown into the vampire world, but she could only keep you in the dark for so long before you unraveled the truth.
You had to see her. Even if it was the last time. By fate, or at the hands of the pack. You had to be there for her, as she would you.
Leaving your imprint though? Was at task challenging at best. On at least four different occasions you fought with Paul for so long that Emily and Sam had to intervene, prying you two apart at the pleads of other pack members.
Emily would console you while you ranted and Sam would make Paul run off his anger in the woods. When you faced him again, it turned into a rerun of the same argument. Nobody in the house had gotten sleep, and the things were progressively getting worse.
Quil came through the door, widening his eyes.
"Just a heads up everyone, a little comedic relief does not go over well. I saw my life flash before Paul's eyes." He huffed before sitting down.
"When is this going to be overrrr?" Embry whined. He shoved his head in his hands on the kitchen table while you and Paul went at it in the front yard.
Emily sighed.
"Unfortunately sooner than you think....Y/N packed her suitcase this morning." She said quietly.
"You're not really going to let her go over there are you?!?" Kim stood up, looking at both Emily and Sam.
"If you would like to stop her, please, be my guest." Sam motioned his hand to outside, where you and Paul could be seen through the window. You were throwing your arms up and pointing fingers at him, while his voice boomed loudly, towering his large frame over yours.
Kim winced.
You had always been the calm to Paul's raging storm. 'Made him all soft' as the guys would tease. None of them had actually seen you two disagree with each other. In the mind link they saw glimpses of minor arguments, most of the time being reconciled in the sheets..
Paul eventually got an order by Sam to think about something else while on patrol. 'Literally, anything else'.
"She's not going anywhere. I can count on my hand how many times they've been apart since he imprinted. They'll work it out eventually." Jared said as he pulled Kim on his lap, taking a hunk out of his apple.
Kim didn't share a look that she believed him, worriedly looking out to where you stood.
A few moments passed when her body stiffened and she gasped, making Jared look where she was.
"SHIT! SHIT!" He said, throwing Kim off his lap.
Sam turned to look out the window in time to see Paul phase, his sharp claw making contact with your skin. Your blood curdling scream instantly had everyone else off their seats, nearly knocking each other over to race outside.
You laid on the ground as your body wracked with sobs, clutching your side. Blood gushed through your hand as you started to panic, scrambling to stand. The large silver wolf only stood for a few moments before Paul shifted back, completely horrified as he frantically tried to reach you.
He felt his heart nearly rip out of his chest as you backpedaled into Emily, who was helping to hold you upright.
"NO! NO! GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME! IM DONE!" You cried.
Sam stood in the middle of the two of you.
Paul could feel his chest caving in, hand out, speaking more gently than he had at all in the past week.
"B-baby. Please. Please, I'm- I'm so sorry baby. Please let me just see-"
"NO! I'm done. I'm done. I'm leaving. I'm done." You repeated like a mantra, limping to the car.
"Y/N you cannot drive like this..." Emily attempted to say as she stepped in from behind you. She could see your anxiety was heightened, and afraid to set you off further.
"I have to go," you choked, on the verge of tears as you tried to open the drivers side. You had yet to even notice the gash in your side, adrenaline pumping wildly through your body.
Paul made his way around Sam, grabbing your other arm that was holding the door.
"You are crazy if you think I'm letting you leave like this. Please come-"
You yanked your arm from his grasp.
"Don't. Let me go!" You said coldly.
Paul froze. He couldn't move. You never spoke to him like this. Even in the numerous fights you two had this week.
Every single instinct in his body needed to help you. He knew you were downplaying your injuries. He knew he just royally fucked everything up. But the absolute last thing you could do was walk into a house full of vampires dripping in blood. Fucking doctor or not.
"Come inside and let me take a look at you, okay? Please." Emily said to coax you, frantically looking at your wound.
This made Sam follow her gaze, looking down to see the blood pouring from your side hadn't stopped, and you were growing paler by the minute.
"Y/N....you're going to stay here and I'll call Sue." He said in an authoritative voice, leaving no room to argue as he turned to start dialing the number.
You almost argued. You almost fought both of them on the subject. Your stubbornness almost won.
But you felt an immense pain. So strong you don't know how the hell you didn't notice it when you stood up.
That couldn't be good.
"....Y/N?" Paul said, barely above a whisper. Tears were now silently streaming down his face as he held both hands out slightly. Not close enough to touch you but to be prepared in case you fell.
You could feel yourself start to float in and out of consciousness. You tried to ground yourself by focusing on something. You looked at his hands that were outstretched.
Those hands that you held on your first date. The hands that hover your back anywhere you go. The hands that lift you up from the couch on movie nights to bring you to bed. The hands that move in just the right way when making love to you. The hands that were now shaking, not out of anger, but fear. You loved those hands.
"Y/N? Baby?" Paul said louder, more urgently as he could see you fading.
You watched him get blurry as the world started to spin.
"Paul," you murmured, before fading into darkness. The last thing you remember were the hands that caught you before you hit the ground.
"Y/N!!!" Paul screamed as he caught your body falling into him.
Sam ran back, telling him Sue was just up the street. He instructed Paul to carry you inside and onto the bed. The pack dispersed, each trying to find something to help you such as towels, an emergency kit and pillows.
Paul held you close as he lay you down, while repeatedly whispering in your ear.
"I'm so sorry baby. I'm so-so sorry. I cant lose you. Youre everything to me. I'll never yell at you again. I swear on my life. You can do whatever you want. I'll do whatever you want. Please, I love you." Paul pressed kisses to your hairline when Sue and her nurse friend entered.
Jared reluctantly came in behind them to lead Paul out of the room as they worked.
"Come on man, she'll wake up soon I promise."
After he was guided out, Paul slid down to sit on the other side of the door, refusing to move. Jared didn't push it, leaning down to sit next to him.
"Sue's seen this kind of stuff before. Just needs stitching up and stuff," Jared reassured as he put his hand on Paul's shoulder.
"It's not the injuries I'm worried about. So much as what she'll think of me when she wakes up. I....I fucked this one up, Jare."
"If Emily can forgive Sam, I think Y/N will forgive you. She's crazy about your ass."
Paul just nodded, praying he was right.
~
Your eyes fluttered open slowly as you woke. You looked around to see that you had been bandaged up along your left side, an IV attached to your arm sat close by. You attempted to sit up, whining when the pain wouldn't allow it. Within a few minutes Emily entered, her face showing relief.
"You're up! How are you feeling?" She checked the IV before sitting on the edge of the bed, careful of your body.
"Sore...where's, where's Paul?" Your heart ached as you started to replay what happened. There was no doubt in your mind what happened was an accident. You had seen the signs he always warned you about, and chose to ignore them in the heat of the argument. Not only that, but the look on his face when you had refused him was too much to bare.
Emily smiled, not expecting you to want to see him so soon.
"He's just outside the door. Hasn't moved. He didn't know if you'd want to see him..."
"I need to talk to him."
It hadn't even been a few seconds when Paul stood at the door. He looked more out of shape than you did. The disheveled hair and dark circles under his eyes told you he hadn't slept in days.
"I'll give you two some space. Just holler if you need anything," Emily spoke as she stood up, making her way around him and down the stairs.
Paul remained where he stood,
"If you don't want to be with me I understand. I have no words for my actions other than I am so...." he cleared his throat, trying not to cry. "So incredibly sorry I put you through this. I put you in danger when I was trying to keep you out of it. You don't have to stay I-"
"Paul please just kiss me." You interrupted, not wanting to hear the rest as you already made up your mind in forgiving him.
He stood for just a moment longer, trying to comprehend if he heard you correctly. It was when you weakly opened your arms for him that he wasted no time in rushing over to you, cupping your face and gently yet passionately kissed you with everything he had. Tears flowed his cheeks at the relief that you still wanted him. Even after everything he had put you through.
You two pulled back for air after a moment, and you ran your hand through his hair.
"I forgive you, okay? I can't imagine my life without you."
He let out a breath, smiling for the first time in weeks.
"It will never happen again. I swear on my fucking life baby." He caressed your hair, neck, landing his palm on your heart.
You two sat like that for awhile. Almost scared to leave each other's presence. You two talked for hours on the bed. Paul had confessed that the night before, while you were sleeping, the pack had fought with the Cullens. You learned that Paul refused to go, not wanting to leave your side. You were grateful to hear that Sam didn't push on him being there, knowing you were all that mattered to him, and he'd refuse him if he had too. Even if it went against his every instinct as a wolf. Turns out that Jacob had imprinted on your niece, and Bella had survived, now as a vampire.
You weren't particularly thrilled your sister was now a bloodsucker, but as long as she was alive, you were happy.
Paul eventually made his way to the other side of the bed, kissing every exposed inch of you, whispering all the things he loved about you in your ear until you fell asleep.
When your heartbeat slowed down and he was sure you were out, he reached down and felt the velvet box in his pocket. No doubt in his mind about the future you both held.

“Don’t even think about it” you turn around to face your smirking boyfriend who sneakily runs his hand up your thigh.
He just keeps smirking and nuzzles his face into your neck to pepper it with kisses.
You slightly tilt your head to give him better access and whimper softly as his tongue makes contact with your skin.
“Who’s arguing now, princess” his smirk never leaving his face as he pecks your lips and leaves you and Emily to finish dinner.
Authors note: this was just a little thing I had in my head with Paul but you can imagine every male pack member! I hope you like it :)

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Aren't you the most adorable little creatures I have ever seen?" "You're so cute. I want to keep you forever!"
Passersby probably took Emily and you for some deranged ladies when they saw you crouched in an alley, apparently talking to the ground.
But they couldn't see the adorable little balls of fur meowing back at you with impressive intelligence lighting their eyes. You were leaving the grocery store when you had heard plaintiff meowing sounds and discovered kittens shivering in an old cardboard box.
There was two of them, a fiery black one, who hissed when you first came close, and a grey one who immediately approached you, looking for pets. It had been 10 minutes, and since then, you had dug in your bags to give them water and food. By the way they devoured the bit of ham you gave them, you knew they had been there for a while.
"We can't leave them here," sighed Emily as she petted the black cat on her thighs. The grumpy cat had seemed to take a liking to her incredibly quickly.
"But where can we bring them? I'm scared if we leave them at the pound, they'll be forgotten," you pondered while delicately petting the gray head of the little critter bundled up in your lap.
As if you had just communicated telepathically, you and Emily looked up with a knowing light in your eyes.
Without having a plan, you brought the kittens back to Emily's to give them proper shelter and a long-awaited bath.
The four of you were now on the couch, extenuated after this eventful day. Junior and Paulie, the names you had settled on because of their resemblances with your boyfriends, were sprawled before the fire.
You had just started preparing dinner when you heard familiar howls from the forest. Seconds later, the seven members of the pack entered the cabin. Distracted by the smell of food, they didn't seem to notice the new presence of the two fur balls. Sam immediately headed for Emily to hug her and kiss her cheek. You smiled at the happy couple as you felt a pair of warm hands grab your hips. You smiled and melted into the muscular arms wrapped around your figure.
"Hey, you." "Hey," you answered, a smile in your voice. "What have you been up to?" he sweetly asked.
You tensed at his question, your eyes immediately finding Emily's. Through all your excitement, you didn't have a plan on how to tell seven werewolves you were planning on keeping two kittens.
"Well, actually, it's pretty funny," you started as you turned to face your boyfriend's suspicious expression. You tried delaying your explanation when you heard Seth's excited scream.
"Oh my god! Where do those kittens come from?! They're so adorable!!" he cooed before dropping on his tummy to try and pet them.
"Kittens?!" exclaimed Sam with a questioning look at Emily.
The pack gathered in the living room, observing the two cats, unbothered as ever, lying in front of the fire.
"We found them across the grocery store. We couldn't leave them there to fend for themselves!" explained Emily as she walked to little Sam Junior. The antisocial cat lifted a heavy eyelid at the disruption of his nap, only to meow and lift his head in search of pets when he noticed who it was. She grabbed the kitten in her hands, bringing him close to her chest with an adoring smile. The little beast softly purred in her arms. It was impossible to deny the special bond they already shared.
You looked at Sam with a glimmer of hope. The look he gave Emily as he saw how happy she was told you everything you needed to know.
"What's his name?" he asked with a defeated sigh as he neared the pair. The little kitten carefully sniffed his hand before allowing him to scratch his head.
"Actually," Emily looked at you with a conniving smile. "With his black fur and protective instinct, he made me think of you, I thought we could call him Sam Junior."
Your little crowd chuckled at the name and the resemblance between the two.
"Junior, eh? Sounds about right." He smiled softly. Whenever Emily was concerned, Sam was as docile as the cat in her arms.
Suddenly, a soft nudge on your shins surprised you. You looked down to realize it was the gray kitten. You felt your heart melt at the display of affection and lifted him carefully from the floor.
"Oh, don't even think about it," uttered Paul as he noticed how you looked at each other.
You pouted your lower lip, bringing the little kitten next to your cheek. "Please, please, please, please," you pleaded. "His name's Paulie," you added with a cheeky smile.
Your boyfriend looked at you with incredulous eyes.
"I see it, Paul. He looks like you," added Sam with a teasing grin and a lift of his shoulders, as if to say 'You know they've already won bud'
He stayed silent, observing your pouty face and the sleepy kitten in your arms. Before finally saying, "Werewolves with kittens?"
You gave him a little nod. "Yeah, I guess that can work," he conceded with a grin.

Hi, I was thinking Jacob Black x Reader. Where Jacob was waiting for Reader to come out of school till he heard commotion in front of the school and saw Reader fighting a bully who is a guy. She has a bruised lip and bleeding nose. Jacob hurriedly pick up Reader and take her to Emily’s so she can chill out and so Emily can patch her up. The pack saw her and they started asking questions till Emily started lecturing her.
Jealousy and Pack Scolding's
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jacob Black x Uley!reader
Characters: Jacob Black, Uley!reader, Paul Lahote, Jared Cameron, Embry Call, Leah Clearwater, Seth Clearwater, Quil Ateara V, Brady Fuller, Collin Littlesea
Warnings: Angst, fluff, Paul being an idiot, Sam not liking the imprinting, this was actually kind of cute, I think I made Jake a likable character (for me), Emily is an angel, Sam and Emily are my fav, reader has avoided making eye contact with Jake bc she has a crush, Sam knows whats up, Embry just wants his imprint, Paul is such a big brother here, love writing for the wolfpack, it's so much fun, reader knows about imprints
Word Count: 2,431
A/N: Ask and you shall receive... this was fun and totally not inspired by Jake fics where he's a little jealous shit
I've aged probably everyone sooo, Sam is 26, Emily is 25. Leah is 23. Jared and Paul are 19 (in a nearby community college) and just one semester from graduating. Jake, Reader and Embry are 18. Quil, Seth, Brody are 17. Cam and Seth are 16
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He kicks his bike stand up, so it stays upright while he waits for you to exit the school. He crosses his arms, not wanting anyone to talk to him, hoping he looks “menacing” enough for his classmates to get the hint and steer clear of him.
He knows Quil and Embry made their way back to Emily's since Sam wants them to do their patrol shift as soon as they can once they finished with their last class.
He couldn't complain much considering he was able to go home and change before heading back to pick you up so he could successfully switch shifts with Embry, which annoys him since Sam basically ordered him to pick you up.
He’d be more okay with it if you two were friends- or even talking; he doesn’t know why he was put to the job since you two aren’t close- or at least, compared to Jared and Paul.
Jake did recently find out (after complaining to the guys when their alpha wasn’t around) you’re Sam's niece and Emily has taken a light to you, thinking of you as her own daughter.
And the only reason he thinks that is because of how she treats you; it always reminds him of the way his mom took care of him and his sisters when they were younger.
Don't get him wrong, he has no problem with that or the way she treats you, he's more curious than anything since you haven't been talking to him.
It kind of bugs him that you talk to Paul and Jared more than him and isn't sure why. He gets the two shifted before everyone, but you've started talking to Embry and Quil so why not him too? Hell, you’ve even started making small talk with the newest shifters Brady and Collin.
He thinks this is why Sam sent him here, so he'll stop moping around about you and not just because the pack is tired of hearing how sad he is with you not talking to him.
The chanting, "fight, fight, fight," overtakes his sense in waiting for you and he steps closer.
He stops behind the wall of people, checking on who's fighting, curious as to who's stupid enough to fight on school property.
The fist flies to your face and he starts fighting his way to get past the people blocking him from getting to you.
You spit, not wanting the copper taste to remain in your mouth. You turn your head back to David, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of feeling like he won.
You kick his upper thigh, right above his knee and knock him down before pulling your arm back and drive your fist as hard as you can into his cheek.
He falls and cups his cheek, whining about the pain and the fact that he's bleeding.
"Talk about my family again and you'll be bleeding more."
Jacob finally breaks through the crowd and pushes David's friend away before the guy could grab you. "Back off," he growls.
The friend raises his hands in defense and backs away, noticing how buff he'd gotten and knows better to not fight Jacob.
He turns to you, smelling blood on you and cups your face, searching to find the damage, ignoring your eyes as the blood from your lip drips further down your chin. "Come on."
He puts you on the back of his bike and starts it before kicking the kickstand.
-
You unwrap your arms and get off the bike, trying to put distance between you, Jacob, and your home.
He grabs your wrist, "where do you think you're going?"
"Away."
"Just because you want to hide your face from Emily and Sam, doesn't mean you can run away."
"I can still try." You tug on his arm. "Let me go."
"No, you need to go in there and face them."
You stop fighting and he lets go of you, trusting that you won't leave. "I don't want Sam to be disappointed."
"Did you pick a fight with David on purpose?"
You shake your head, "of course not."
"Then he won't be disappointed... as long as you talk to him."
"Says the guy who fights him every chance he gets."
That earns a chuckle from Jake. "Says the mousy niece."
You scoff, shoving his arm. "Hey, I'm not mousy."
"This is the longest conversation we've ever had."
"That's your fault, you're always mopey."
"I am not."
"Are so."
"Am"- You walk through the door.
Emily's voice interrupts yours and everyone else's conversations. "I'm happy to see the two of you are talking." She smiles with a twinkle shining in her eye that quickly dies as soon as she catches sight of your face.
"Oh my- what the hell happened to you?" She grabs your chin, tilting so she can look at your face. "Who did this?"
Paul tenses, Jared tries to see over her shoulder.
Embry and Quil walk through the back door and glance at one another with concern evident on their faces once they realize what’s happened.
"Don't tell, Sam," you reply, staring into her eyes, practically begging her not to tell him.
"Don't tell me what?"
You grimace and then wince because your adrenaline has worn off and the pain has surfaced. "How much I love you?" You say without turning.
"I don't buy it." He wraps an arm around Emily, pecking her cheek. "Did you cut your finger again?" He asks with the scent of blood wafting through the room.
"Uh-" She catches your eye as she glances down at her hands. "Maybe, I don't know."
You attempt to sneak away while he's distracted and fail.
"Turn around."
You pout, keeping your head low as you turn.
"Lift your head."
"I like staring at my shoes while they're clean."
He grumbles your name under his breath.
You lift your head and sigh. "I may have gotten into an altercation at school."
"What the hell happened?"
"That's what I was asking before you got here?" Emily chimes in. "And I was avoiding it then."
"What did you do?"
You scoff, "I didn't do anything, you dick."
"That is no way to talk to your uncle," she tells you.
You stare at her, "I'm going to give him the same respect he gives me," and turn to him. "Which is none."
You exit the room when you realize none of you are going to be able to have a proper conversation and make your way to your room, slamming the door behind you.
-
"What happened while you were waiting for her?" Sam towers over Jacob, attempting to search through his mind to figure out what could have happened.
"I don't- I don't know. I was waiting and then I heard the other kids chanting, fight and then I saw her get hit and then take down David-"
"Wait- she was fighting David?" Jared chimes in with a smile.
"He deserves it," Paul adds.
"Guys a grade A asshole," Embry says before snacking on a muffin.
"So, this fight was valid?" Sam asks, wanting to understand everything he's learned within the last five minutes.
"No, it wasn't valid because fighting isn't the solution, is it boys?" Emily turns to the boys at the table.
"No," everyone answers.
"Good," she smiles.
"But this hasn't happened before? What's happened? This David- or whoever clearly said something for her to act out."
"He was talking about my family," you tell them, leaning against the wall with your arms crossed.
"That doesn't give you enough reason to fight," she tells you.
"It does when they start making fun of your dead parents and uncle who's running a cult."
They purse their lips.
"How do you feel?"
You shrug, "my fist and face are aching, so I'd say I did something right."
She sighs. "Fighting isn't the answer."
"I know that!"
"Then why did you do it?"
Your emotions cause you to snap. "I was tired of him thinking he could still bully me!"
She takes a few steps closer to you. "This has been going on for a while now. Why didn't you tell us?"
"I didn't want either of you to walk into the principal's office thinking you could stop it when it'd only make things worse," you grumble.
"We could have found another way to stop him from making comments."
"I took care of it the only way I could."
"There's always more than one way-"
"I know," you run your fingers through your hair in a frustrated manner. "I wasn't thinking but he wouldn't shut up. He waited a few months, giving me a grievance period but then he started talking shit again and today he wouldn't leave me alone."
"Why didn't you tell us?" Jared asks.
"Yeah," you scoff, "because I wanted you guys to help when the hothead is one fight away from being expelled. Everyone still thinks those two," you point to Embry and Quil. "Are weird because they suddenly got buff and had a haircut. Don't even mention the fact that Jake along with Brody and Cam are the new talk of the pack."
Sam sighs, rubbing a hand over his face. "Just, go clean the blood off as best you can, and Emily will wrap your wounds."
"I already did."
"Then go get the first aid kit and bring it in here."
You walk back into the bathroom throwing everything you’d laid out on the counter back into the bag and aim for the kitchen. "Heal me with your magical powers, Em."
She smiles and wraps an arm around your shoulders as she guides you to the island so she can use the natural light to check over you. "Does this hurt?"
"Not yet."
"Okay, let me know when it-"
You suck in a deep breath through your teeth.
"Hurts. You okay?"
"Peachy, Em."
"I know you had to defend yourself today, but fighting isn't always the answer."
"Yeah, I know," you reply with an attitude.
"I'm just reminding you, so you don't continue hurting yourself. You're not like the others, and I don't like seeing you get hurt."
"Thanks, Emily," you wrap your arms around her and pull her in for a long hug.
She smiles, returning the hug. "Don't go getting into fights again or else I'm going to bubble wrap you."
You chuckle. "As long as you save me from a Sam lecture."
"Deal." She slides the plate with muffins, closer to you. "Eat something first."
The guys shake their heads at your behavior.
"Does this mean I can hang out with you guys?"
"You hang out with us already," Jacob points out.
"Cliff diving." You unwrap your muffin.
"Absolutely not," your uncle tells you.
"Come on."
"No,” Sam shakes his head.
"Guys," you beg, turning around to look at the others.
"We're not getting involved in that," Paul raises his hands, heading towards the couch.
- Extra -
"Wha-"
"I'm with Paul," Embry tells you, pulling Quil with him as they sit beside Jared.
You turn to face your knight in shining armor. “Jake-”
He turns away from the others and glances back at you, the humor falling from his face.
“Oh, shit,” Jared mutters.
“Are you serious?” Embry whines.
You owlishly blink trying to figure out what’s happened when he falls to his knees. You set your muffin down and push yourself off the stool to stand in front of him. You poke his shoulder. “Are you okay?”
“It’s you,” he mutters.
You raise your head and face the others with a scared and confused expression. “Guys, what the hell just happened?”
Paul smirks and looks away.
Jared buries his face with a muffin.
Embry and Quil face the tv, not wanting to see how things plays out.
Brady and Collin walk through the door.
“Holy shit,” the former says.
“Congrats, Jake. You finally got your imprint,” the latter adds.
“What?” You spin around to face Emily. “Imprint? That’s what just happened?”
Sam rubs a hand over his face. This was the last thing they needed.
“Did we- did you not know?” Brady asks you.
“Does this look like the face of someone who’s in the know? Does it. Brady?”
Collin pulls his buddy away before you can rip their heads off.
“I think we need to talk,” Sam says, pulling Jacob off the ground. “Outside.”
You three stand on the porch, trying to wrap your heads around the whole situation.
-
“I don’t know what this means,” you tell them.
“This means, no being alone in your room. No sneaking out after curfew. No-”
“Sam, we’re not dating. This doesn’t apply to us.”
“It could,” he says, finally snapping out of his mind.
“What?”
“It- the imprint bond doesn’t happen by accident, it’s the joining of when two soulmates find each other.”
“So, we’re soulmates?”
He nods.
“I thought you were in love with Bella?”
“I was.”
“And now you’re not? You couldn’t have moved on that fast just because of this bond.”
He sighs, “I know this is going to be a lot of work, but I want to get to know you whether we go out or not… even though dating you-”
The clearing of someone’s throat cuts him off.
He sheepishly smiles, rubbing the back of his head. “We’ll talk more later.”
You can’t help but giggle and wince soon after.
He’s kneeling in front of you in seconds, searching for any sign of pain. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. My lip is going to be the kill joy of my existence for a few days but I’m fine.” You place a hand on his shoulder, “thanks for pulling me out of there when you did.”
He shakes his head, “it was nothing.”
“It was more than you know, and I know you were only there because Uncle Sam made you, but I still wanted to thank you.”
He can’t help the wide smile that stretches across his lips. “I’ll always be there for you.”
-
Sam throws you over his shoulder. “Babe, where’s the extra wood I keep for the winter?”
“Back room, why?” She asks, watching as you beat on his back.
“I’m locking some doors.”
“Sam, no!” You screech. “Boys, help me.”
“He’s the alpha, what he says go,” Paul tells you.
“You suck, Lahote.”
“You’re gonna be swallowing, princess.”
Paul has never shifted and ran out of his alpha’s place as quickly as he did today.
The others lose their minds as he runs all around, nearly bumping into the clearwater siblings as they head towards the place.

pov: you find out about your boyfriend, seth and his friends being able to shift into wolves
"You don't have to do this if you don't want to, you know?" Seth asked for the milionth time.
"I do want to meet your friends, seth, I know how important they are to you" I reassured him with a smile.
We were now walking through the reservation, heading towards emily and sam uley's house, where seth's friends often hung out. We had been talking about this for a while and I figured that I would have met them sometime anyway, since Seth and I had been dating for a few months.
As soon as we reached the house, a few dark haired, shirtless and tan boys ran out, their faces radiating with excitment.
"So you're the lucky girl, huh?" one of them looked me up and down.
"Seth seems to be luckier, Jared. I'm Paul Lahote" another smirked as he held out his hand.
I took it nervously and said: "Y/N Y/L/N"
They each then shook my hand and greeted me.
"Embry Call. Nice to finally meet you, Y/N."
"Seth talks about you all the time, trust me. I'm Quil"
Seth lightly punched his shoulder and the boys laughed.
And so on. After introducing themselves, they sprinted back into the house as someone called for them. Seth and I stayed behind and he softly squeezed my hand, before saying:
"Seems to be going good"
"They all seem like great friends" I smiled at him.
"They are" he smiled back. "But if you ever bring this up, I'll deny it"
We both laughed and he turned to me as we reached the doorway and placed a soft kiss on my lips.
The boys sat at the table made puking sounds and jokingly covered their eyes with their hands.
Seth and I laughed it off, right before a woman scolded them.
I hadn't even noticed her; after she turned around, she came up to us and hugged me, then introduced herself as Emily Young.
"You're Sam's wife, ri-"
"His imprint" Paul cut me off.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as the boys all snapped at him, Jared's elbow hitting Paul's side, perhaps a bit harder than he meant.
In response to Jared, Paul got up, his chair falling to the ground, and pushed Jared a few meters back. They were yelling at each other as the other boys were quick to drag them out of the house, both of their bodies shaking violently.
"Stay here with Emily" Seth whispered, then ran towards them.
She and I got out on the porch, incapable of interfering.
Jacob was holding Paul back by his arm, while Quil and Jared were trying to calm Jared down, the other boys standing in between them.
"Cool off guys, Sam's about to get here" Emily shouted.
It was no use; swiftly, Paul freed himswlf from Jacob's grip and shockingly enough, his body contorsioned into the one of a huge, ash-gray wolf. Jared was quick to jump back at him, only he had transformed as well. Paul sank his teeth somewhere around the other guy's shoulder, who howled in pain before striking back.
When I was finally able to look away from the fight, my eyes searched for my boyfriend, with fear. He was nowhere to be seen; instead, in the place he last stood was now a wolf, who was a bit shorter than the rest, eyes looking into mine.
"Seth" I whispered.
I was frightened; not really of the huge wolves, though, but rather for Seth, praying he wouldn't get hurt.
I was pulled out of my train of thought by the shouting of another man, who was fastly approaching them. His head turned to me for a moment, before his clothes all fell onto the ground, shredded, as the greatest of wolves stood next to the fighting boys. He was visibly taller with black fur, his chest pressing forward as he held his head high; "must be their leader" I thought to myself.
Suddenly, the wolves all backed up, Paul and Jared's bowing in front of Sam. After a few moments in which all looked the great wolf in the eyes, they scattered running into the forest, nowhere to be seen.
Emily grabbed my arm softly and urged me inside.
"Come on, they'll be here soon"
"Are they going to be okay?" I asked quickly, much worried for them all, tears forming in my eyes.
She looked at me and sighed, stroking my hair.
"Yes, they'll be okay, sweetheart. This happens pretty much on a daily basis around here"
I gulped, with shock.
"So this... this huge wolf thing is common around here?"
She laughed and nodded.
"They'll explain everything to you when they get here"
As soon as she said that, the tan boys came back into the house, all laughing and joking around, Paul and Jared included. All except for Seth and Sam, who stayed behind, talking in a very serious demeanor. As they reached the house, Seth stopped into the doorway while Sam came uo to Emily and kissed her tenderly. Then, he turned to me and said:
"Seth wishes to talk to you, kid."
I nervously walked outside, meeting his anxious gaze.
We sat in silence for a few moments before I bursted out loud:
"Oh Seth, are you all alright?"
I checked his arms and chest and back, searching for any sign of harm, yet he was spotless.
"Yeah, I'm fine" he laughed, still tense.
I exhaled, relieved and hugged him tight.
"Are... are you not absolutely terrified by me? Do you not want to never talk to me again?"
I giggled against his warm shoulder.
"No, of course I'm not scared of you. I mean, was I completely taken aback when all you guys turned into huge wolves? Yeah, sure. But scared of you? No, never." I shook my head as I voiced the last words.
"I love you" he said, finally relaxed.
"I love you too"

“Great idea, Pup!” Paul shouted as he walked into Sam's cottage after Sulli had stormed out of his house. His phone now shattered along with a broken TV as his emotions had gotten the best of him. He had launched his phone hard enough to have a phone shaped hole it the tv, before he had stormed out himself in search of Brady.
“I gave you an opportunity to fix things with her, if you fucked it up its not my fault!” Brady shouted back. Clearly the boost of confidence Sulli had given him had stuck.
“You could have warned me!” Paul yelled, his anger getting the best of him, “You know what she said, she said that she hates both of us now and that's on you and your stupidity!”
“Wait, what?” Brady asked with wide eyes. Paul sneered at him, before he could grab a hold of the pup, Kim stood between them.
“Paul, leave him alone.” Kim turned to Jared who had sat quietly at the table, watching the scene unfold. “Jared, you can't just let him beat up Brady like this!”
“Go patrol.” Paul shoved Brady towards the door.
“You need to get yourself together, Paul. Her friend warned you and you completely ignored it. Why are you so surprised she's upset?” Kim snapped as she gave Brady a comforting smile as he headed for the door.
“I didn't do anything, this was all the kid!” He exclaimed. Brady had fucked up this time, not him.
Kim scoffed at his response, “No? Did you apologise to her for ruining her friendship? Did you apologise for not sending her anything to let her know you were thinking of her?”
“You know I had no idea where she was,” He said through gritted teeth. Jared and Sam had helped search for her, the three of them had covered almost every inch of Washington to try and catch a scent. But they always came up short.
“Doesn't matter, she's hurt by you.” Kim said as if it was obvious.
Paul narrowed his eyes at his friend's imprint, he knew better than to explode at her, but she was crossing a very thin line of patience he had when it came to his own imprint, “I know she is! I feel it every fucking day!”
“So apologize, explain it to her. Sulli is not eleven anymore. She's a grown woman and you're toying with her life.” Kim said with annoyance.  As if it was that easy. The amount of times he had awoken in the middle of the night from the imprint bond, from a physical pain he could never quite explain. Or double over from a sharp stitch in his side, or a lingering feeling of fear that wasn't his own. No matter what he did, or where he went in the state of Washington to look for  her, nothing could dull those feelings. It was like that social worker that picked her up dropped her off the face of the earth.
“No--” He started, only to be cut off.
“At the bar, you made Brady cut her off and you watched with a smug little smile on your face. When in reality, you should’ve walked your arrogant butt over to her like you do to every other woman and charmed her yourself. Maybe then she wouldn’t have dragged the next guy she could find to the bathroom. Have you ever thought of that?”
“What are you? The Sulli Whisperer?” Paul quipped, leaning back in his chair with a scowl on his face. He had in fact thought about walking up to her that night to be that new option to quench her need after Brady had cut ties with her. But as soon as Sulli had laid eyes on him, he could feel her anger. He could deal with the fact that she was angry with him, what he couldn’t deal with was the underlying feeling of pain. Paul knew he had caused it and it made him sick to his stomach.
So he watched her talk to some man that looked out of her league before dragging him to the bathroom. He stayed until their escapade was done, listening to every moan and groan until he couldn't take it anymore and decided to wait outside for her. He wasn't leaving that bar until she was on her way home herself. He hoped she would be alone, if she wasn't, he had asked Brady to intervene and make sure she did leave alone. It was a purely selfish move, but he wanted to make sure she was safe and sound wherever home was for her.
Kim acting like he knew what was best for his imprint was sparking a light inside of him that he knew he had to diminish before a fire started in him. He's blown up before on the topic of Sulli, and Sam had warned him. It felt like he was back to square one, a young pup he couldn't control his emotions.
“No, I’m a woman.” Kim said harshly before standing up from the table, “Let's go, Jared. If he wants to self-destruct, that's his issue. I’m tired of hearing about it.”
-----
“She’s here to take you to a nice foster family.” Sue said gently, as she explained why the mean old social worker who had dropped her off at her aunt's house over a month ago had come back.
Sulli started to hyperventilate at what Sue was telling her and was on the verge of bolting out the backdoor. That was her plan as she tried to wrench herself out of Sue's hug. Despite the fact that her aunt was only trying to comfort her, she only wanted to get away. If they couldn't find her, she didn't have to go.
She noticed Paul as soon as he walked in the door, his eyes frantic until they landed on her.  Sulli carefully avoided the social worker's reach, and crawled under the kitchen table to get to him.
“Please, I’ll be good. I don't wanna go!” She cried, holding on to Paul's legs tightly.
“Sulli,” He started, crouching down to her level. She quickly wrapped her arms around his neck in a suffocating hug.
“Please, please!” She begged him. She didn't want to leave. She didn't even know where she was going!
Her social worker, Julie, interrupted them, “Time to go to your new family, Sulli.”
“No!” She screamed in fear, gripping Paul's shirt with her tiny fists as the social worker tried to pry her out of Paul's arms. She watched with tears in her eyes as Paul narrowed his and swatted Julie's hands away from Sulli.
“That's not helping,” He said roughly to the annoyed social worker. He wrapped his arm around Sullis waist and picked her up with ease, sitting her on the table. He wiped the tear gently from her cheeks and gave her a soft smile.
“I wanna stay with you.” She begged Paul again, “Please, I don’t want to go.”
“It’s going to be okay, you’re gonna be okay. I’m sure this family will be nice.” He said as he rubbed her back comfortingly. He was so sure and that helped ease her nerves slightly. Though she still didn’t want to go. She was having so much fun with them. Leah had taught her how to jump rope, and Seth taught her about the Quileute histories. Paul even promised to take her to a football game after the few they had watched together. He even taught her how to catch a football.
“But I want to stay with you.” Her lip quivered as tears filled her eyes again. Nothing about this felt right to the eleven year old girl. Sulli still didn't know where her mom was and Sue had even gone to the lengths of getting in touch with her father to see if he knew where she had gone. Now she was being torn away from the only other family she had, and they were just letting it happen.
Paul held her to him, combing his fingers through her hair as he soothed her anxiety, “You just have to go for a little while, then you’ll be back, okay?”
“Can you come too?” She mumbled into his chest.
“I wish I could, Sulli.” He said honestly as he pulled back, placing his hands on her shoulders as he bent to look her directly in the eyes,   “I’ll visit, okay?”
“Promise?” She asked warily.
He nodded, and pressed a kiss to her forehead, quietly telling her, “I promise, you don’t need to worry about anything, alright? It’s only for a little while.”
The old memory distracted her as she walked out of the exam room to drop off her clipboard to be logged. It was all that had been on her mind since the day before, seeing that Paul had kept the photo of the two of them had sparked something in her and now, he plagued her mind.
Every single memory hit her like a mack truck, good and bad.
She nearly bumped into someone while looking down at her clipboard, double checking to see if she had missed anything.. She felt their warm hands steady her and her head shot up to see who she had nearly crashed into. Paul, with that stupid smirk on his face, held her steady as she tried not to glare at him.
“Sorry.”  She mumbled, side stepping past him to put her clipboard onto the receptionist's desk before turning back to him and mustering her best customer service smile, “Can I help you?
“Relax, I’m just picking something up.” He said with a slight chuckle at her uncomfortableness, “Brady get his car fixed?”
“Dunno.” She shrugged him off, trying not look at him.   “I haven't spoken to him.”
“Been busy at the bar?” He asked awkwardly, causing her to look at him with wide eyes.
“Is that your way of calling me a whore?” She asked with a scoff. Her eyes narrowed up at him, the audacity he had to ask her that. As if he didn't just upend her entire life.
“What? No.” He backtracked, a look of regret crossing his face, “Fuck, no. I just--”
“Sulli, Poppys ready for you..” The vet tech let her know before turning to Paul, “Oh, Mr. Lahote, Dr. Gray will be with you in a minute.”
“You’re a doctor?”  Paul looked at her with wide eyes. Instantly, she was offended. It was the first time someone had questioned her choice of career, but for some reason, Paul looking at her with a shocked expression hurt.
She only had one more semester of school left before she began her residency, she was quite young compared to her classmates having been able to fast track into vet school and everyone spoke to her as if she were a child. She hated it, considering she wasn’t treated like she was one when she was actually a kid.
“I have to go.” She said with the roll of her eyes and pushing past him into her next room.
------
Sulli was glad to not see Paul after dealing with Poppy the pomeranian and quickly made her way to her car. She wanted nothing more than to cuddle with Tommy and watch Love Island with a glass of wine.
The sound of her name quickly interrupted that fantasy as she heard her name being called from behind her. She looked over shoulder and saw the tall, muscular man who had a knack for offending her taking long strides towards her.
She let out an exasperated sigh and opened the back door to her car and threw in her bag and jacket.
“Sullivan!” Paul called after Sulli as he jogged up to her, “That wasn’t what I meant.”
She pursed her lips and turned to look up at him, “That's what it sounded like.”
“I just meant that you seem like you like to have a good time. You know, work hard, play harder.” He explained, though it didn't make her feel any better.
“You sound like a fumbling idiot.” Sulli narrowed her eyes at him, not amused by his choice of words.
“I think that's the nicest thing you’ve said to me.” He told her seriously.
She let out a genuine laugh,  “You’re ridiculous.”
“Got you to smile though.” He cheesed.
Butterflies erupted in her belly and just hoped her cheeks didn't betray her by turning bright red. She brushed her hair behind her ear, not knowing what to say next. She had two options, tell him to fuck off and leave her alone or pull him into her car and quell the throbbing between her legs.
The latter would be more satisfying in her opinion. His tight black shirt left little to the imagination of what was underneath, she could practically see his muscles flexing and the hardness of the abs she had seen with her own eyes the day before. She felt like a drooling dog.
His own smile wavers, “I’m sorry I never sent a letter or um, visited you like I promised. Julie wouldn’t tell us where you were.”
“Don’t do this.” She shook her head with a frown. Clearly he was keen on ruining every conversation they had.
“I just need you to know that I tried, okay?” Paul said desperately.
“Okay,” She breathed out, “But it doesn't change anything.”
“I really had no idea what Brady was doing, I still don’t understand what his plan was and I’m sorry, it's complicated.” He explained apologetically. The regret was clear in his eyes for how everything panned out the other day.
“Complicated.” She repeated slowly. Sulli didn't understand why she had been dragged into it.
Paul hesitated in speaking before muttering, “A wolf thing.”
“Right.” She nodded trying not to get annoyed by the vague answer he gave her. She knew the pack's secret was a secret for a reason, adding “Not something I’m entitled to knowing. I get it, just, keep me out of it.”
“It’s not that easy, Sulli, sorry, Sullivan.” He corrected himself “ There's a reason I told you our secret, just like your friend gets to know.”
“Why does she get to know?” She asked, trying to keep an even tone. Kaycee never mentioned why Colin told her, but now Paul was standing her telling her there's a reason for it all.
“Bonfires aren’t just about roasting marshmallows in La Push.” Paul joked.
“Fine, I’ll just ask her myself.” She said with a huff.
“I’ll tell you,” He said quickly as he leaned her arm against her car, “But it isn’t exactly a conversation I’d like to have in a parking lot.”
Sulli watched him curiously, “You tryna kidnap me, Paul?”
“No. I think taming a lion would be easier than getting you into a car.” Paul said with a teasing smile,  “Or out of one. Though I don't think you’d fit under a car anymore.”
“First of all, Julie was a bitch.” She pointed out. She was the social worker from hell, putting zero effort into the homes she was placed in and never letting her communicate with her parents. Or at least her father.
“Yeah, I know she was.”  He agreed and that sparked a fire in her belly. Paul was agreeing with her yet, he did nothing to stop her being taken away from them. From him.
Sulli crossed her arms as she tried to contain her budding annoyance, “Paul, I’d get into a car with you if it meant I’d finally get some honesty around here.”
“Without fucking an Uber driver?” He asked jokingly, referring to her comment the night she had first spotted him, “I mean, I could always sign up to be one if that would quench your kink.”
“I tend not to have sex with guys who can’t control their jealousy. You were so blinded by it you didn’t even see your shot. Sulli shrugged.
“At the bar?” He asked with a cocked eyebrow. She wanted to laugh. No, not at the bar. Not even close. All she had felt that night was rage because of Brady and him and stupid smug look on his face. Even when she had fucked that blonde in the bathroom, all she thought about was him.
“At your house.” She said nonchalantly as she opened her car door. If he had grabbed her and kissed her like he had in her reoccurring dream, she wouldn't have stopped him. She would have let him bruise her lips until they were both gasping for breath and clawing each other's clothes off. She would have been putty in the palm of his warm hands.
Paul put his hand on the frame of the door,  trapping her between him and the car. Heat continued to pool between her legs, and the feeling only intensified as he huskily said, “Honestly, I thought I was dreaming having you show up on my doorstep. It’ll be different next time.”
She asked confused, “Next time?”
“Yeah, I think that lucky shell is starting to work,” Paul said with a crooked smile. A feeling of realisation hit her hard. Back when she was eleven, Sulli had been shell picking at the beach with Leah, Sue's daughter.  The shell she had found at the beach was quirky and unique, she had made up a tale that it was lucky and gave it to him. Prior to her beach visit, Paulhad given her a dream catcher because she was having nightmares and because he wanted her to have good dreams, she wanted him to have something good too. She was surprised he still remembered it.
A gust of wind blew Sullis' hair into her face causing her to giggle as she tried to shake it away from her eyes. Paul didn’t hesitate to gently brush it back behind her ears with both hands. His thumbs grazed her jaw and she let him keep his hands on her face until he reluctantly dropped them. She wanted him to kiss her, that fairytale, only in the movie type of kiss that would have her knees weak.
But he didn’t, which disappointed her more than she wanted it to.
Paul licked his bottom lip before mumbling, “I’ve got to get back to work, but I’m sure I’ll see you around.”
She tilted her head to the side slightly as she looked up at him, “I don’t doubt it.”
Sulli watched him walk away and wanted to follow after him, She scolded herself for even thinking about it. It was obvious he wasn't into her like that after he had dodged a second opportunity to kiss her. If he wanted to, he would have. It was clear that the reason he didn't want Brady around her was more of a power trip than anything else.
Paul looked over his shoulder as he had reached his truck, giving her a small smile. She shook her head as the butterflies returned to her belly, with her own smile gracing her face.
This was not good.

Waking up from a nap at emily’s when the whole pack is there, but paul made them all go outside because he didn’t want anyone to interrupt his princess sleeping, and you lazily walk outside to press your face into his chest and hold him while you’re still half asleep
paul lahote🥺
...
you let out a quiet groan as you rolled over, the springs of emily's pull-out couch squeaking under the sudden movement. you hadn't intended to fall asleep at her house but apparently ended up doing that once the two of you put on some trashy reality tv show to watch while you waited for the boys to get back from patrol.
you sat up when you heard the faint voice of your imprinter yelling at one of the boys, quietly laughing to yourself when you realized he was trying to get them to stay quiet so you could get some sleep.
getting up, you grabbed the blanket and bundled it around you as you came out to the porch, yawning. paul smiled when he saw you, "hey princess," he cooed, opening his arms as he sat in one of the rocking chairs, gladly taking you bundled up figure into his lap so he could hold you close.
"did you sleep okay?" he asked softly, gently threading his fingers through your hair so he could scratch at your scalp as you yawned again and nuzzled your head against his chest.
"slept good," you mumbled against his shirt, letting out a happy sigh when you realized just how quickly he was warming you up by holding you close to him.
paul smiled to himself, pressing a soft kiss to the crown of your head, "that's good," he murmured against your hair, rolling his eyes when quil let out a loud yelp in his wolf form as embry, also in his wolf form, tackled him from behind, knocking both of them over.
"for fuck's sake," he grumbled, letting out a disapproving sigh when you let out a soft whimper at the sudden noise, blearily knuckling at your eyes in an attempt to wake yourself up some more so you could figure out what was going on, "you're jus' fine princess," paul cooed, "just embry and quil," he grumbled, rolling his eyes again when jacob jumped in on the wrestling match currently going on in the middle of the yard.
you giggled at his demeanor, stretching your arms over your head with another yawn before sitting up in paul's lap so you could cup his face in your hands, "thanks for letting me sleep," you murmured with a smile, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips.
paul seemed to loosen up a bit at your comment, pressing another soft kiss to your lips, "have you eaten anything today?" he asked, already knowing you likely didn't because of your unplanned nap.
sure enough, he was right and you shook your head, "don't know how you do that," he grumbled, eliciting a giggle from you as he got up with you in his arms, quickly carrying you into the house so he could get you something to eat.

Hey!! I love your fic's so much!
Can I request a Jacob x Fem!reader where they are friends but reader has a crush on Jacob. When he shifts he leaves and does what he did to Bella like ignoring her and Billy won't answer the door.
Mutual pinning but neither knows. He imprints on reader.
Thank you so much keep up the great writing :)
Also, I was wondering if you are going to be doing the vampires as well?
Hi!, Thank you so much for the request! I appreciate the kind words <3
I will be doing fanfics for the vampires as well! As of right now I only have the wolves, but I am planning on making a master list for the vamps and Bella. If you want to make a request for them I can definitely do that! I am planning on making a fic for Jasper soon!
A/N: Not proofread! I aged Jacob up a bit, you both are seventeen here. I didn't know exactly how to end this but I think I might do a spin-off series off of this fic so if you are interested in that let me know. Also, sorry for the late posting I am currently sick and going through it lmao. Hope you enjoy <3
Warnings: Jacob being an ass, cursing, angst, Y/N with a backbone.
Wolf’s Out Of The Bag
Jacob Black x Fem!reader
Tumblr media
You were staring blankly down at your phone. Ten phone calls, ten phone calls sent to voicemail. Ten desperate, pleading voicemails. No callback, no text, nothing received. You snapped your phone closed and threw it down on the bed.
It had been two weeks since Jacob stormed off from your house after getting into a small disagreement, at least it started off that way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"It's nothing you need to worry about, Jacob," You grumbled with a slight roll of your eyes. Hoping he would drop the subject.
He was giving you an irritated look. You lightly pushed him with your shoulder giving him a small smile.
"I didn't think you'd care that much, it was one date and it's never happening again," you noted with a light-hearted laugh to ease the tension.
He turned to face you, irritation turning to anger. You could actually feel the heat radiating off of his body next to yours.
"Wow you must be really dumb, I mean how could you even think about going on a date with that pig. He's not good enough for you, but then again if you were desperate enough to give him a chance maybe I'm wrong" He barked getting more bitter with each word.
You look at him in shock.
"Why would you say that to me" You said not believing what you were hearing. "It's really none of your business who I go out with, you aren't my bodyguard, you don't have to 'protect' me. When did you get the right to decide who is 'good enough' for me? Huh? You're being a dick and I don't know why but it better change right now." You say sternly. He has never acted like this before and this sudden behavior change is not sitting well with you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jacob left shortly after that. He had gotten so angry he was shaking, you can't even remember the words that were thrown after that. Now, he wasn't answering the phone. Billy said he came down with mono, you didn't know how much you believed it but decided to trust that Billy wouldn't lie to you.
Jacob was your best friend, you loved him a lot. You had never had such an intense fight, you never thought he would react the way he did. You only went on the stupid date to get Jacob out of your head, you thought that maybe you would get over Jacob if you found someone else to pay attention to. You were wrong, no one made you feel the way that Jacob did. Jacob made you feel at home, you couldn't explain why but it was like he was the person you were meant to be with. He was the one who understood you fully and would never judge you for anything you said or did. Until now......
You were deeply hurt by what Jacob said to you, and if he thought that you would get over it he was surely mistaken. He had never said anything more hurtful to you in your entire friendship. You had thought about just letting it go, letting life run its course even if it meant Jacob being out of your life, but you couldn't just sit and let him speak to you that way. You wanted answers. Sitting in your room waiting for him to call and explain was becoming too stressful. You sat there for hours overthinking and no matter what you were doing you were replaying the moment in your mind.
You must be going crazy. At least that's what you were trying to convince yourself after seeing Jacob cliff-jumping with Sam Uley and his gang. You had decided that you would go to La Push, and relax your body and mind on one of the only partly cloudy days in Forks. The skies were pretty clear but there was a storm coming soon, so you decided to do it now. Never in your life did you think you would see what you were seeing now. Are you fucking serious? was all you could think as you drove your car straight to Billy Black's house. You wanted to make sure it was really Jacob, so you went to the man who had told you how 'serious' his condition was in the first place.
As you pulled into the driveway the clouds began covering the sky in a dark grey mass. You hopped out of the car and began walking to the front door, Billy had opened the door as soon as you stepped onto the wood. His face had a mix of concern and confusion as he noticed your agitated expression and the way your chest was slightly heaving from anger.
"Where is he" you say with a grumble.
"He's not here, he went out," He says seriously but looking down a bit not wanting to make eye contact. Billy didn't like lying to you and to your face it was even worse.
Just as you were about to speak you looked to the side and saw that far away down the hill, Jacob stood playfully nudging another man as a few more came out of the woods.
"Don't Y/N" Billy said in warning.
You started stomping down the hill, ignoring Billy's yells. Billy calling your name caught the attention of Jacob, as his face shifted from laughing to completely still. You continued to walk towards Jacob as the rain started, it quickly went from a drizzle to full pouring as you finally reached him.
To say you were fuming would be an understatement.
"What the actual fuck Jacob!" you say basically screaming at the shirtless man, who was now staring directly into your eyes with what looked like pure amazement but you ignored it the best you could, whatever love for him you felt in that moment may have been strong but you were too angry to care so you continued.
"So we have one fight and you ignore me for two weeks?! I called you ten times, ten times Jacob. You couldn't bother picking up the phone at least once, you could've told me you didn't want to be friends but no! You had your daddy lie to me" You say with an angry laugh.
"I thought you were sick Jacob! Too sick to pick up the damn phone and text me! Come to find out you were just having too much fun cliff jumping with the guys we used to make fun of! You know what you can have them, If you want to throw away seventeen years of friendship then be my guest." You say finally taking a breath.
The weight off of your chest feels amazing, but as you finish Jacob falls to his knees. The boys behind him look between you two with pure shock on their faces before they start laughing and smiling. You look up at them shocked and confused thinking they were making fun of you. They start walking away but not before patting Jake on the back. Sam leans down and whispers something to him as he sits there still on his knees staring at you.
"Do you even care about a word I just said to you? You know what never mind if you think this is a joke I might as well leave," You say turning around and starting to walk away.
Jacob suddenly found his voice as he quickly got to his feet and stumbled trying to reach you.
"WAIT! Wait, wait, Y/N please hold on!" He spoke hurriedly. Grasping for your hand and pulling you around. Hand now resting on your waist.
"I am so, so sorry. Please let me explain everything, I promise I won't lie to you anymore. I can explain everything now, just come inside and dry off." He said pleadingly, trying his best to get you to listen to him.
You thought for a moment, you didn't trust him at all but the way he was speaking you knew he was telling the truth to some extent. It was hard for him to lie to you, you know how Jacob works, you know the subtle mannerisms he has when he's not telling the truth. Considering all of this you finally speak.
"Fine, but if things don't add up or I find out you are still lying, I am gone," You say sternly, pulling his hands away from you and walking up the hill.
When you get to the house, Jacob gives you warm tea and a blanket which you take from him without a word. He comes over and sits across from you. He almost reaches for your hand but stops himself.
"The day that I left your house, something changed, I changed...." He claimed, looking at your reaction with a hint of fear but continued "This is going to sound crazy, but you have to believe me on this..... I am a werewolf"
You stared at him for a moment before throwing the blanket off and standing up, Jacob followed suit immediately. You threw him a glare before starting to walk out.
"No, No, Y/N wait!" he shouted after you, reaching out and grabbing your hand. "I am telling the truth let me show you" He spoke as he continued outside your hand still in his.
" I swear Jacob if this is a pra....."
You went dead silent as he began taking his boots, and then his shorts off. Now standing in just his underwear. He gave you a curt nod and then started bending and shaking profusely. You could barely blink before your best friend stood in front of you only he wasn't human anymore, he was a massive wolf.
You jumped back a bit as the wolf started coming towards you, noticing your fear he slowly laid down on the ground and gave out a small whine to signal he would not hurt you. You were in complete shock, how was this possible? Everything you ever heard about the stories of the Quileute tribe growing up was true, and your best friend was living proof. A thousand thoughts ran through your mind, but they were silenced by the wolf standing up and trotting to the back of the house. Jacob then emerged in different clothes than before.
"I'm sorry, but I couldn't tell you Y/N" Jacob expressed, grabbing your hands hesitantly until you leaned into the touch slightly.
"Why couldn't you tell me, you know I would never judge you, nor would I ever tell anyone " You pressed before giving him a confused stare "Wait why are you telling me now?"
He looked at you a gave you a crooked smile.
"It's one of the rules that came with the gig" He laughs a bit before pulling you a bit closer. "The reason I can tell you now is because you are my soulmate," He says beaming down at you.
You stare up at him with a bewildered expression.
"I'm your what?" you say breathing out.
"You are my imprint, Y/N. It's a wolf's soulmate, it is the reason for their existence, you feel like it isn't gravity holding you to the ground anymore, it's them. You can be anything the imprint wants you to be, a friend, a protector, a lover, all that matters is that the two are connected. Like vines on trees overlapping each other both on the same path, interlocked." He pauses, putting his hand on your face and caressing your cheek gently.
"I know this might be overwhelming and a lot to handle. I really want you to know how deeply sorry I am for everything that I said. I'm not going to sit here and blame it all on the wolf because it wasn't, I was jealous. I was jealous that you went on that date with someone that wasn't me and I didn't mean a word that I said about you. I'm going to be fully honest with you from now on, starting with the fact that I have been in love with you since the second grade. I know that trusting me will take time, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to earn it back. I understand that I have hurt you, so it might take a very long time but I will always be there for you. Everything is up to you, I understand if you want to reject the connection. The connection can be anything you want it to be, but I really truly do not want to lose you and the past two weeks without you have been hell on earth for me. I'm just really sorry Y/N." He pleads letting go of your hands and allowing you to process.
"I... I love you too Jacob. I have for a while now. I'm not going to forgive you easily but I am glad you understand how much you have hurt me. I am willing to give this a shot, mainly because I can feel the connection and would be an idiot if I said that I didn't." You laugh a bit as he looks at you with the biggest smile on his face.
"But if you ever say or do that to me again I will put you in a dog house and leave you there," You say with an evil smile laughing at the way his face drops before he joins in.
You two get out of the rain and drive separately to Emily's house where you meet the pack and they explain in much more detail what being a wolf really entails. You and Emily become quick friends, and as the days go on you slowly fall into a routine that is pure chaos but you wouldn't have it any other way. You and Jacob work on your relationship, slowly building back trust and falling deeper and deeper into love with each other. You have fully accepted your place in a world filled with wolves and life seems to be going great, that is until they tell you exactly why they turn into the big ferocious beasts....... there are vampires in Forks.

Not Letting You Go Easy - Paul Lahote x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
IM BACKKKKKKK!!! Wow I just checked my last fic and it's been TWO years. Does anyone even remember me? 🥹 I'm back on my twilight bs, this one is my longest ever! Let me know what you think! - 3.2K Words ❤️
*Second Person POV*
The sun poured on your face as you soaked in all the warmth it allowed. You missed the sun, watching the palm trees sway peacefully as the ocean tide rolls in. The goosebumps that arise on your skin as a strong breeze passes, the warmth blanketing back over them.
You keep your eyes shut as your mouth curls up in a smirk, listening faintly to your mom try and convince your sister to stay in Jacksonville. She could offer up the moon and all the stars...Bella would still choose Edward, every time. It's true that you were weary of the vampire, after she flew like a bat out of hell half way across the world to Italy to save him. But could you blame her?
If it wasn't for your sister stumbling her way into the supernatural world, it's possible you could have never met Paul. A blush crept up your cheeks as you crack a full smile, thinking back to the day you met the hot head.
~
There was absolutely zero hesitation when you followed behind Bella in the truck to go to Jacob's. You had been worried for weeks about your sister, who had been spiraling ever since she was ghosted a second time by someone she trusted. Not only did you care about your her, but Jacob too. He had been around your family for years, and this behavior...especially towards Bella...was concerning. So when she frantically barged in your room asking you to go with, you were out of the house in minutes.
You had taken off in a sprint to try and keep up with your sisters manic running towards the group of shirtless men in Jacob's backyard. You heard rumors of the so called "cult" that had formed in the recent weeks. Jacob's haircut and tattoo had confirmed that part. But seeing the others approach through his window, you knew this was going to be a bad idea. You barely had time to catch your breath before her hand came in contact with one of their faces. You let a gasp slip as you made it in time to yank her back by the elbow.
What had gotten into her!?
Not able to process why she would resort to slapping him in the first place, the man, who looked like a carbon copy of the other ones standing around, began to shake violently. The others were urging you both to get back while attempting to calm him down. Never in your life had you witnessed such immense anger. In seconds his shakes became tremors. It was as if he ripped apart, and in his place stood a massive grey wolf. Mirroring the emotions of the man before, the animal was growling, snarling at your sister with its teeth bared.
Your heart was beating out of your chest. You felt as if you were dreaming, blinking rapidly to make sure this was real. Not standing around to question the animal who could very well kill you, Bella grabbed your hand and you both booked it towards the house. The outburst must have woken Jacob, who was running towards the scene. Bellas blood curdling scream was telling him to go back, though he kept charging forward.
You both fell hands first onto the grass as Jacob launched over you both, shreds of clothes flying as yet another wolf emerged.
Now it was you who was shaking. The only thing that prevented you from having a panic attack was realizing that all the other men were calm, as if this happened all the time. You swallowed your fear as you accepted the hand of one of the younger men, who led you two back to the truck by the order of the oldest one.
As you walked into the cozy secluded home, your mind was running a million miles a minute. They were werewolves....as if after learning vampires existed wasnt a shock enough already.
The oldest one, fiancé, Emily, you had learned, helped ease some of the headache. Besides the scar she wore upon her face that made your stomach drop when you first saw her, she was the epitome of kindness. You could see when she was greeted by Sam that their love was far more deep rooted than the mark she wore. Only knowing her for an hour, you felt happy for the girl.
You vaguely registered Jacob returning, finally looking away from the couple when you heard an unfamiliar voice apologize to Bella. As he then turned your way, you both locked eyes. An electric current jolted through your body, through your veins as you held his stare. You felt a fuzzy warm feeling race its way all the way down to your toes. The feeling lasted what felt like forever, until Jacob's "no fucking way...." pulled you back to earth. It's as if you had been some other place. A place of immense happiness and love. You knew you looked as bright as a tomato when you realized all eyes were on the two of you, mortified they caught you staring.
You did a quick scan of the room, noticing they were paying more attention to the man rather than you, who, was still staring.
When you craned your neck to look at Bella behind you, you found relief in that she looked just as confused.
The man was slapped on the back by Embry, which snapped him out of his trance. He quietly introduced himself as Paul. You blushed hard when you quickly said your name back. As if to break the tension in the room, Jacob asked you both to go for a walk.
Before you left, you had sworn you heard Paul growl.
"Not now. She's been through too much today already." Sam lowly said to him. You furrowed your brows as you trailed behind your sister out of the house.
After a walk on the beach and many questions answered, you were able to take a deep breath. The world was getting scary for you, but Jacob seemed to ease your fears, promising he would always protect you both.
Before he dropped you both off at your house, he had mentioned going to a pack bonfire the following night. You couldn't help but get excited at the prospect of seeing Paul again. You both hadn't even spoke other than introductions, but there was some type of spark in your core when you both met.
Attempting to shove it away, you reminded yourself it was nothing but a crush.
~
You sat on a log by the fire, rubbing your hands together in front of it. Everyone was up gathering their food, but you were focused on the warmth as it was more than chilly outside. Nerves bubbled in you as Paul approached, asking to sit next to you. Your cheeks heated as he sat, only inches away.
"I just wanted to apologize about yesterday," he spoke, his voice gruff as he looked into the fire. "You could have gotten hurt and I let my anger get the best of me. I promise I'm not like that all the time, and I don't want you to be afraid of me."
Your heart melted at how softly he spoke. "It's really alright. My sister acts out of impulse, if you couldn't tell." This got him to laugh lightly. You laughed too, until a strong breeze made you break out into a shiver.
Paul immediately noticed, grabbing a blanket from the pile beside him. "Here," he said as he wrapped one around you. His warmth radiated off you as he had gotten closer to do so. Not even realizing what you were saying you spoke, "I bet your girlfriend never gets cold with you around." To your embarrassment but surprise he cracked a big smile. "I bet she would, if I had one." It was your turn to smile. "What about you?" You shook your head no as Paul let out a small breath that almost sounded like relief.
Before either of you could say something more, everyone gathered around the fire. The legends of the tribe had you captivated. So much history that you were never aware of, right under your nose. You could feel Paul glance at you every so often, gauging your reaction to everything that was said.
When the fire died down and Jacob's dad came to a stopping point, everyone quietly mingled until deciding to call it a night. You had talked to Paul the entire time, getting to know the basics. You had a lot more in common than you thought. The more you learned about him, the more you liked him. A lot. He followed you to Bella's truck, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"I had a really good time tonight" you spoke softly, now inches away from his face. You were so close you could feel his breath.
"I did too. I hope this won't be the last time I see you?" he questioned.
You glanced past him to see Bella and Jacob making their way up the hill.
"With everything going on, everything that's happening...I have a feeling we won't be going away anytime soon."
Paul smiled.
This is the part where he'll kiss me, you think. Your heart beats fast in anticipation.
But Paul just stands there. Staring. He stood there so long that you cleared your throat awkwardly.
"I'll see you around Paul." You tried to hide the disappointment on your face as you climbed into the truck and shut the door. He had let you, still standing there for a moment before turning around to walk back to the house.
Tears welled up in your eyes. How foolish were you, to think that a guy like Paul Lahote would just sweep you off your feet? Sure, a kiss might be moving fast for the first night, but he didn't even give you his number. You analyzed everything you had said to each other. Nothing was even romantic, so why on earth would you think he liked you back? Pathetic.
Bella said goodbye to Jacob and got in the truck. One thing you loved most about your sister was that she knew you better than anyone else. And if there was one thing you hated, it was when people asked if you were upset. One look in your direction and she didn't say a word, starting the truck and driving off. She knew when you were ready to talk, you would.
*Paul's POV*
I turned around, watching the truck drive away, getting smaller and smaller in the distance. I was frozen in place.
What is wrong with me?
"Everything go okay?" Sam approached, clearly sensing my distress.
"I'm never like this with women, Sam. I should have kissed her, but I didn't. I stood there, right in front of her with my mouth open like a fucking fish. I-I've never felt this way-" I rambled on.
"Dude it's alright" Sam interrupted, "Did you tell her that she's your imprint?"
I sighed. "I didn't even get that far. I don't, I don't want her to feel forced to like me like that right away. I want to treat it like a normal relationship....but I think I went ahead and screwed it up anyways." I huffed.
Sam placed his hand on my shoulder. "Deep breathes. You didn't screw anything up, you just met her. You can tell her about the imprinting when you're comfortable....as far as the kiss, well, it's never too late." Sam held up keys to his vehicle, putting them in my hand. "Only if you need them." He slapped me on the shoulder, winking, as he walked back to where Emily was.
I watched him sneak up behind her, she giggled as he peppered kisses on the back of her neck. I knew what he was doing. And it was working, as I made my way towards his car.
*Back to Second Person POV*
You sniffled, taking a deep breath. You were done crying over this man. This man you had literally just met. So what if he didn't like you? There is a million other people out there. Why did you care so much?
A knock on the door interrupted your thoughts. Charlie was gone over night on a hunting trip and Bella was fast asleep.
Another knock. It was almost damn near midnight. As you slowly approached the door, bat in hand, you looked through the peep hole.
It was Paul.
You flung open the door, ready to ask him what the hell him problem was, when he lunged forward. Grabbing you by the face, he kissed you feverishly. Your heart pounded in your chest as you melted into the kiss, tongues dancing together in perfect harmony. One hand held you by the hair as the other grabbed you by the waist, pulling you impossibly closer. When you both needed to breathe you pulled away, Paul's hand held tightly so you couldn't go too far. He leaned his forehead against yours, panting.
"I am so sorry I didn't do this when you left. You, you make me nervous. It's a feeling I've never really had before. When you left I- I didn't want to let you go that easy. I'm sorry." He said.
You leaned in to kiss him once, slowly, softly. "I've been waiting for you to do that," you smiled. "There's a lot more where that came from...if you'll have me." he said, his hand sliding down to interlock with yours, bringing back up to place a gentle kiss on the top.
"I couldn't imagine anything better." you grinned.
*Paul's POV*
Y/N guided me to the couch, asking to stay awhile. We held each other until the sun came up, just talking. It was as if everything right there had changed for me. She would be my number one priority, to have and protect. I vowed to myself that I would do anything she asked, that I will love her no matter the cost. Whatever makes her happy.
I had to leave before Charlie got home, but not without a heated make out session at the door. It took everything in me to pull away from her, both of us lingering. Despite her not letting go either, I could see the bags under her eyes forming.
"Get some sleep baby, text me when you wake up okay?" She nodded, and after a good 20 minutes of more kissing, I left.
I understood why Sam was always mopey without Emily around. As I drove away I could feel my heart ache like something was missing. This was a whole new feeling, and for the first time I thanked whatever spirits gave me her.
My imprint.
I bit my lip as I remembered I still had to tell her. I'm worried about how she'll take it, but there was something heavier on my mind.
Victoria.
Part Two Anyone? :)

Ok so my idea was a Paul x reader where he and reader were best friends and had crushed on each other but when he started changing he had to leave reader behind and he says things to get reader to hate him so separating would be easier (like Jake did to Bella) and reader is heartbroken and sometime later, he meets reader again and imprints but reader is still angry about being left behind (angst with a happy ending) my favorite 👍👍
Please and thank you!!
A/n: I decided to change this up a bit and had Bella and reader become friends :).
Just Leave It to Bella
Tumblr media
Warnings: angst with a happy ending, slight cursing, Paul saying things that’d make me punch him, Y/N with a backbone, kind of sucks, Bella dragging around Y/N, Y/N knows they don’t make smart decisions, finished this around 2am so good luck, I’m bad at confrontation, does it show?
Paul had left you alone. Completely.
At first, it started out with him refusing to see you. Then, it was not answering your calls. And, finally, not answering you altogether. He was your best friend. You may have had a crush on him, but you didn’t want to ruin your friendship, so you kept quiet about it.
You wanted to know what his problem was. You tried to talk to him at school, he’d ignore you, like he didn’t know you. If you called, his phone was on silent. If you texted, he became literate. Despite your efforts to keep your friendship, it seemed like it was over. You were hurt and angry. You attempted to get answers out of him one last time, but you wished you hadn’t.
---
You parked your car on the curb in front of your best friend's house. You stepped out as Paul came out of his house. You wasted no time storming up to him.
“What’s your problem? Why have you been ignoring me?” You practically threw the questions at him. Paul stumbled back a bit, clearing not expecting you to turn up at his house.
Quickly recovering, he fired back a “What the hell are you doing here?”
“Nah, I want my answers first.” You glared up at him.
Paul glared right back, strangely not meeting your gaze. “Fine, you want to know why I’m ignoring you? You are fucking annoying.” He spit, getting straight to the point. “The sound of your voice annoys me. The only reason I’ve ever kept you around was because I felt bad you had no other friends. You've always followed me around like a lost puppy. I wish you would just stay the fuck away from me.”
Yeah, that hurt, but that didn’t stop you from slapping. You wanted to punch him, but those stupid feelings inside you willed you not to.
“You’re an ignorant asshole, you know that?” You laughed, an empty cold laugh that sent chills up Paul’s back. “I hope you end up alone and those new friends you got leave you.” You smiled, sarcastically, before walking back to your car and drove away from your now ex best friend. You never saw that tear that ran down Paul’s face.
---
You weren’t going to lie, you were hurt. The anger had faded, but you still stood with what you said. You were sure it sounded pathetic, but it’s all you could come up with in that moment. It was months before you came out of your room and did anything and everything to distract yourself.
One normal rainy day, while you were in Forks, picking up some takeout, you ran into Bella Swan. She was in the same boat you were, her situation felt worse than yours. Her boyfriend dumped her in the middle of the woods, leaving her there, going to her childhood best friend for comfort after months of locking herself in her room, only doing exactly what Paul did, he left and made her heart break all over again. After that day, you traveled to Forks to visit Bella, becoming good friends with her. Becoming friends with her meant she dragged you along with her bullshit, but you stuck around anyway.
Today was another little ‘adventure’ with Bella. She was driving to Jacob Black’s house to confront him. She was going on about something about the Quileute being wolves? You had no idea, you just nodded along.
Bella parked her truck in the Black’s driveway. Bella got out, stomping up to the door, knocking, you rushed to catch up with her. A man in a wheelchair, who you guessed was Jacob’s dad, opened the door.
“Bella?”
“I need to see him.”
“He’s not in.” Bella looked like she was deciding something before pushing past him.
“I’m sorry, but I really need to see him.” She went straight for a door towards the back of the house.
“I’m sorry, so sorry.” You apologized, going around him, fast walking straight to Bella.
Right as you catch up to her, she’s going out the back door. This woman, you thought as you practically run to walk behind her.
“What did you do?” You peak around her to see four men she’s going straight for. As you got closer, you realized one of them was Paul. Fuck.
“What did you do to him?” She shoved into the tallest of them all. You pulled her back. “He didn’t want this!”
“What did we do? What did he do? What did he tell you?” Paul all but snarled at her.
“He doesn’t tell me anything because he’s scared of you.” Three of the men standing in front of you started laughing. You scoffed. Still an ignorant asshole.
Paul glanced over at you, “You shouldn’t be here.”
You rolled your eyes and glared at him, “And you should mind your business.”
You caught a glimpse of his arms beginning to shake. You decided to follow your gut feeling and move.
“Bella, back up.” Thankfully, Bella also noticed his shaking and moved back with you. The man next to Paul was attempting to calm him down, but it didn’t help.
Then it happened. He turned into a giant dog. Your childhood best friend turned into a giant gray dog.
Bella started running, which was the smarter option, but you were frozen in shock.
The dog, wolf is the better word, started stalking towards you. Although, the wolf stopped in its tracks as it stared at you like it’s seeing you for the first time. You were standing there in more confusion than shock now.
The wolf made its way towards you again. That’s when you snapped out of it and began walking backwards. Your movement caused him to stop, whining as he leaned down into a bowing position. Something compelled you to be near him. With a cautious pace, you reached a hand out as you got closer. Paul raises his big head up, making you freeze. To your surprise, he licked your hand. You took it as a sign to kneel down in front of him. Petting his head, you look behind you to see Bella and Jacob not far behind you.
“So, he’s not going to hurt us?” Bella stood halfway behind Jacob.
You shrugged, “I guess not?” You more questioned than stated.
The man from earlier, which at this point, you guessed was the leader, came around and stood next to Paul. “Phase back, Paul. You got some things to explain.”
You moved back, allowing him to stand to his full height while also standing up. You watched him trot into the forest where he came from.
“Take them back to Emily’s place, I’ll catch up with Paul.”
“Guess the wolf’s out of the bag.”
You faced Bella, sighing, “Leave it to you to drag me into some weird shit.”
---
You were now standing next to Bella, nibbling on a muffin Emily offered you while Bella picked at hers. You were filled in a bit about what they were and their names. Embry, as he introduced himself, said Paul ‘imprinted’ on you. When you asked, they wouldn’t elaborate on what exactly an ‘imprint’ was.
Sam, the ‘alpha’, and Paul sauntered into the house. Sam went for Emily while Paul didn’t go far past the doorway. He caught your gaze; he signaled you to follow him.
“I’ll be back. Don’t leave without me please.” You mumbled to Bella before chasing after him.
He waited until you were further away from the house to say something.
“I’m sorry,” he stopped in his tracks, turning to face you, making you stop as well. “About what I said that day and for leaving you. Sam ordered us to stop talking to anyone we had before the shift.”
You scoffed, “I don’t give a damn if you turn into a giant wolf or not, that gave you no right to say to me. I won’t accept it, so don’t bother using that as an excuse.”
“I get that.” Paul was quick to change the subject. “I’m guessing they told you about us?”
You nodded, “Yeah, they also said you imprinted. What does imprinting mean?”
“Imprinting is like when you see them, they’re all that matters. It’s no longer gravity, they are the only one keeping you here. You’d do anything for them, their happiness, their safety. It doesn’t have to be a romantic relationship. It can be a brother, a best friend, a protector or something more. She’s... you.” Paul took a breath, “I’ll understand if you reject the bond.”
Despite his words, his expression was strained. While you were upset at his words that day, you were still in love with him. But you were not going to give in easily.
“Look, even after what you said, I still have feelings for you.” You admitted.
“Feelings?” Paul asked, looking puzzled.
You reluctantly answered, “I’ve had a crush on you since we were kids.” Your gaze moved along the trees, wanting to look at anything but him.
Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Paul had his signature smirk plastered on his face. You shook your head, unable to stop your own grin, “Shut up, Paul.”
He chuckled, moving your face to look back at him. “I had feelings for you, too.”
Paul leaned in to kiss you, you pulled yourself back from him, laughing.
“Hell no. Your words still sting. As far as I’m concerned, you’re working for it if you want anything.” You stated, making him groan.
