what's your favourite painting?
i really do not have a good answer for this but will update if something comes to mind. i am always interested in art that depicts anguish and sorrow (often through facial expression, but not always) and i love various depictions of martyrs/saints.
i also love any art that tries to contend with and explore the topic of “the self”. i am often pondering my own identity disturbance/unstable sense of self, so art that depicts things along those lines always draws me in. i made a little web weaving thing about it that here

@wolveswolves
I saw your appreciation post for bicoloured wolves and wanted to share this with you. This is Nanuk, formerly the breeding male of the Bowvalley Pack of Banff National Park. Unfortunately this was the only photo I could find of him, but you can still see his beautiful bicoloured eyes.
Photogaphed by John E Marriot.

Would be great if Wolveswolves was actually just wolves. Not dogs too. Otherwise maybe change the name to wolves and dogs or something.
Hello and welcome to my blog where I blog about whatever I want because it’s my blog! Thank you so much for your message about WolvesWolves, my other blog, owned by me, where I also blog about whatever I like because it’s mine! I am currently preoccupied blogging about whatever I want on my own blogs, but I will respond to your message as soon as possible on my return! Best regards, Anne

Basic(ish) Information on Wolfdogs Masterpost
Hello there! Welcome to the Basic Information on Wolfdogs masterpost. In this post, I will be covering basic information on wolfdogs, including different sources on how to spot a wolfdog. I will also be posting a follow up to this post on facts and myths about wolfdogs, and some more in depth information. I am in no way an expert on the topic, just a girl who has too much love for wolves, and small pockets of spare time. Anywho, onto the post!
Genotyping vs. Phenotyping: Is This a Wolfdog?
Genotyping: Genotyping is the process of determining differences in the genetic make-up of an individual by examining the individual's DNA sequence using biological assays and comparing it to another individual's sequence or a reference sequence.
Phenotyping: The set of observable characteristics of an individual resulting from the interaction of its genotype with the environment.
Here is a post on genotyping and phenotyping wolfdogs. This should help give advice on how to recognize wolfdogs.
Here is another post that gives more examples on phenotyping wolfdogs, wolves, and dogs and the differences.
Here is another post that covers phenotyping in younger wolfdogs, as well as a comparison with dogs.
Here, once more, is another post comparing Siberian huskies and wolfdogs.
Here is a good masterpost (yes a masterpost within a masterpost) with some educational memes on wolfdogs.
The following is an image (who’s source is located on the image itself) is a good basic reference for low, mid, and high content wolfdogs:
(The above image is from @wolveswolves blog.)
Percentages and Genetics
Here is a post that goes into why percentages aren’t a reliable way to determine the amount of wolf in a dog.
Here is a post that talks about red flags that a puppy doesn’t have as much content as advertised.
Here is an absolutely brilliant post on how genetics come to play in wolfdog offspring, and why certain wolf traits won’t or will be inherited.
Here is a post on the ONLY TEST, the UC Davis test, that can decipher wolf from dog in their lineage besides Embark.
Didn’t see something you wanted to? Perhaps I missed some info? Send me a pm or an ask and I’ll add it! This post will be updated continuously whenever I find something new.
