Aegis didn’t appreciate being disturbed for Cleaning Day, but posed for the camera nonetheless.

I visited the friend of mine who took in Clove, my woma python, when I was managing my beasts. She recently bred her to an exceptional male, and these fine children hatched over the last 3 days.
They are unbelievably soft, still in their egg sheds, and they have Clove's surprisingly mild baby temperament. Just chilling on hands, not a care in the world. I'm really looking forward to seeing them after their first shed, when the milky cast will fade and the colors will pop. Right now they have kind of milky-pink bellies and once they shed that should turn bright orange.
The last one pictured was the first one hatched, and is definitely my favorite so far. Should be a real beauty!

Woma Python
Enclosure:
A 40-50 gallon or 36 x 18 x 16 in can house a single adult comfortably, but bigger is better
Hatchlings can start in a 20 gallon enclosure, but will need to be upgraded in time.
House alone
Substrates can be aspen bedding, coconut fiber, peat moss mixtures, safe tree mulch, etc.
They do like to burrow, so substrate should be a few inches
They need hides (one on hot and cold) and enrichment like caves, hollow logs, a humid hide, etc.
They need a water dish with fresh water. Change whenever dirty or every other day
UVB is not needed, but a day and night cycle is
They need a basking temperature of at least 90 degrees F and a cooler side of about 80 degrees F
Humidity should be 50-70% (damp moss can help if humidity is too low)
Spot clean daily and completely disinfect once a month
Diet/Feeding habits:
Food should be about the size of the thickest part of the snake or about the size of between their eyes in the Woma’s case
They eat mice, rats, chicks, and rabbits
Adults can eat once every 2 weeks or every 10-14 days
Hatchlings to 2 year old snakes should be fed once a week
May not eat while in shed
Age Identification:
Their usual lifespan is about 20 years
Maturity is reached at about 3 years old
Physical traits:
Most adult sizes are 4-6 feet with some rarely growing to 8 feet
Most times their color is beige, yellows, silvers, light greys, or light browns with black spots and bands are darker brown
Their head is usually yellowish in color with black eyes
Personality:
Docile
Food driven
Active, but nocturnal
Young snakes may be flighty or bite, but handling will help
They get comfortable with handling fairly fast
Health concerns:
If humidity is too high then scale rot, blisters, and respiratory issues will occur. See a vet.
Stuck shed can result in dead tissue and proper humidity or a soak can help
Handling:
Start by letting them adjust for at least a week in their new home before handling
Handle about 10 minutes at a time, then you can increase
Babies may be skittish, so be patient
Wash hands before and after handling

daily snake #22
🤎 The Woma Python, endemic to Australia, is typically around 4.5' long. It's nocturnal, and when travelling across hot sands, it lifts itself off the ground, reaching forward, and then pushes itself off the ground again.

Are there many morphs for Australian snakes? I can't find any useful information, search results keep giving me ball pythons.
Ooh yeah, search engines are really bad for just assuming you want ball pythons if you ask about any python.
But yes, there are quite a few, especially for Antaresia pythons and carpet pythons. Nowhere near the level of ball pythons, but you can find them if you look - as long as you're Australian, if you're not Australian then it's just not possible to find them.
For spotted pythons, you can find...
Striped!
Platinum!
Albino!
For Children's pythons, you can find...
Marbled!
Yellow!
Albino!
For Stimson's pythons, you can get sunbursts, one of my personal favorite morphs ever and a source of so so so much jealousy that I cannot have one:
Also two lines of very pretty hypomelanism.
For carpet pythons, you'll want to avoid jaguars (they have issues similar to wobble in spider ball pythons), but there are many beautiful and ethical morphs available depending on which species you specifically want!
Hypo:
Granite:
Albino:
Axanthic:
Caramel:
Woma python morphs are still being proved out, but if you're patient and willing to pay, low-pattern morphs are out there.
As are beautiful melanistic snakes!
I hope this is a good starting point for you! These are just some of the more popular ones, and there are many combos of Antaresia morphs especially.

Your OCs walk into a tattoo shop... what tattoo are they getting?
Berrie: tries to get a tattoo and fails because she's 15 and doesn't have parental permission
Vice: already has a microphone on his ribcage, will probably add some small music notes around it or get one of her favorite lyrics elsewhere
Percy: a stylized bishop chess piece probably on one of his forearms
Barbara: a memorial piece for her father
Yǔqí: an artistic rendition of her snakes Vladimir (a Woma Python) and Cậu Bé Dài (a Vietnamese Blue Beauty)
Eden: an iris and an anthurium for Ira and Barbara
Cisca: the classic USS Enterprise
Ricki: already has a decent number of tattoos, would probably add more finger tattoos or touch up her existing ones
Piper: a mute symbol in both ears
