I don’t know where junior f1 drivers find the audacity to throw hate around against F1 drivers, just because they seem to think they deserve those seats more.

To publicly spread hate for a driver when you’re vying for their seat is shitty behavior as a person, and also incredibly stupid pr-wise. I’ve seen some excuses made for Bianca because “she’s young” “she’s only 18” but coming from someone who is the same age as her, she should know better. She isn’t a child and there isn’t an excuse on Earth that makes her hate towards Lance and her ableism okay.

I wonder why it’s always Lance, too. First Drugovich now Bianca Bustamante. I know he gets flak for being a “pay driver” or a nepo baby, but people love to act as if he’s the only one who got into F1 through money and connections when he isn’t. Some of the most loved drivers on the grid got where they are from momey and connections, but Lance is the only driver I ever see get hate for it.

At the very least, I’m glad to see people are recognizing her behavior for being as bad as it is instead of brushing it off. Both because of her ablelist language, and because most of the time when I see Lance recieve hate no one really acknowledges it.

Dropping some George and Lance Las Vegas lore for the timeline.

If you didn't know they spent a lot of their karting + all of their F3 series racing against each other. Let's talk about what Lance was referring to in this video.

The SuperKarts USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals (one of the biggest karting events in North America) is the final stop on the Pro Tour and is held in Las Vegas every November. Both of them dominated qualifying in the TaG junior category, with George taking pole and Lance starting 2nd. George was at the top of the list every practice and heat sessions as well, the weekend was his to win. After the first few laps, George was still in the lead and Lance dropped back to 4th behind Yurik Carvahlo and Dalton Sargeant, with Dalton and Lance both passing Yurik shortly. 2 laps later Lance passes Dalton, and is back to second. He sticks close behind his bumper and eventually passes George on lap 12/20, into turn one. Then Lance set a string of fastest laps that maintained his lead over George. So, George finished second, 0.920 of a second behind Lance. You can see why George would be pretty miffed and Lance teasing him about that race in particular. Other notable drivers included Colton Herta (P5) and Logan Sargeant (P11). Full results here.

The teens as drivers to me:

Lincoln - he’s simply so nervous all the time and moving at a snail’s pace. Did not follow Wilson tradition of being The Driver at all, and instead always rides shotgun and is the worlds worst backseat driver

Taylor - worlds most distracted driver. Eyes on the road about 30% of the time. When they are on the road he’s trying to do some “cool” bullshit in the middle of a crowded intersection. Has a brand new rich kid car that he’s three seconds away from crashing at all times

Normal - he paid a lot of an attention in driver’s ed and thus is so stiff and conscious of the rules. The problem is he kinda always forgets the rules so is always like “can I go? Can I turn here?” Passable driver and you will survive with your life, but no one’s first choice for a ride

Scary - actually like a fine driver, her only problem is that she’s constantly reclining weird and crossing her legs and sitting in strange positions. Saved up for a used car for a really long time and is very protective of it and loves it to death. Horrendous road rage
