Any good-faith analysis of Wonder Egg Priority needs to be done with the understanding that the show was crunched so hard, ESPECIALLY for the special episode, that the producer had to be hospitalized more than once.
I think the only way to analyze Wonder Egg and actually get anywhere is to accept it as an unfinished work and analyze the themes as if the special had never aired. When you do this everything suddenly makes a TON more sense.

While I’m working on this kinda big project, if anyone wants to ask my opinions on different shows like BNA, madoka, wonder egg priority, bojack, etc. or even specific aspects of those shows, send me an ask! If I’ve watched it, I’ll answer and do my mini analysis on it!
I’ve also watched a lot of musicals so if anyone wants to hear my “talk too much and over explain”-ness for things outside of mha, don’t be afraid to send it!

In today’s fast-paced world, women have a lot to achieve and priorities are shifting for a better quality of life. That’s the reason, family planning is put on hold. Many women decide to delay getting pregnant until their late 30s.
Do you know, a healthy 30-year-old woman has about a 20% chance of getting pregnant naturally each month whereas, a healthy 40-year-old woman has about a 5% chance each month?
When human reproduction is highly inefficient as compared to other mammals and age becomes a deciding factor when trying to conceive.
Age and quality of eggs have a direct link. As the age increases, there is a rapid decline in the quality of eggs. We at Yash IVF are often greeted by patients whose concerns are as follows after failed IVF cycles elsewhere.
35 year older female, trying to become pregnant, has multiple failed IVF cycles, is mentally exhausted with high stress, often briefed by the centre about poor egg quality. Low AMH, High FSH and low ovarian reserve make embryos resulting in the repeated failure of implantation.
Every journey of infertility is different and struggle is inevitable. Don’t lose hope. If this is your story, then you are on the right page to know, how parenthood can be achieved irrespective of all the odds.
Let’s discuss egg quality in brief:
1. Importance of egg quality
Oocyte quality is one of the important factors for achieving pregnancy. For the fertilization, implantation, and development of the embryo, it is essential to have eggs of good morphological and genetic quality.
Not-so-desirable or low oocyte quality is one of the main causes of female infertility and is dependent on a women’s age. From the age of 35 years, the quantity and quality of eggs begin to decrease considerably. However, a good number of oocytes does not mean that they will be of good quality.
 2. Egg quantity vs. Egg quality
Did you know that all the eggs a woman will ever have, are created and deposited in the first 16 weeks when she is in her mother’s womb?
Approximately four to five million eggs are formed in those first 16 weeks, but only one to two million eggs remain at the time of birth and only 400 000 to 500 000 are still viable at puberty.  No wonder, human eggs are “destined to die”. There will be a release of mature eggs in each menstrual cycle, while many other immature eggs will undergo a degradation process, atresia and eventually will be lost.
This is the way, a woman’s ovarian reserve gradually decreases until it is completely over when she reaches menopause. It is a process of hormones.
2. Oocyte quality analysis
There are many diagnostic tests to evaluate the state of a woman’s ovarian reserve, such as an antral follicle count by ultrasound, anti-mullerian hormone analysis, or determination of blood FSH levels.
But to know the quality of the eggs is not so easy. In IVF treatments too, one has to fertilize and perform a pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) of an embryo. There is a lot of research happening on oocytes that the recovered have chromosomal alterations.  During IVF treatment, it is possible to evaluate the morphology or structure of the eggs under a microscope to know the abnormality.
3. What are the causes of poor egg quality?
We know by now, the advanced age of women is the main cause of poor oocyte quality, especially from the age of 35. In addition, other health conditions or unhealthy habits can also hurt the eggs.
Endometriosis, Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), Diabetes, Tobacco and alcohol, Poor eating habits, and Radio/ chemotherapy treatments are some of the few.
Therefore, maintaining a healthy lifestyle sports, and avoiding the consumption of toxic substances will be the best prevention to not have the oocyte quality affected.
4. Is there any way to know, about good quality eggs?
The quality of the eggs is a very important factor in assisted reproduction technologies or treatments. Even though the eggs are morphologically normal, this does not mean, full-term pregnancy will be achieved. However, it is possible to predict how embryonic evolution will be, although other aspects must also be taken into account.
The three types of good-quality egg markers are often taken into consideration by practising doctor
Gynaecological evaluation: Patients are generally analysed and assessed by the medical team: age, environment and ovarian reserve. Age is the main culprit of egg quality. We should not equate quality with ovarian reserve.
36-year-old Amrita has a good ovarian reserve when the antral follicle count is analysed by ultrasound and good levels of the antimullerian hormone, but the oocyte quality can be worse than that of a 30-year-old patient. The same is the case with an antimullerian hormone which does not determine egg quality but rather egg quantity.
So, a young patient with a low AMH, despite obtaining a low number of oocytes, can still have the possibility of a good-quality egg and can carry a full-term pregnancy.
The environment can greatly affect oocyte quality. Unhealthy habits (tobacco, alcohol, drugs, etc.) and toxic substances to which one may be exposed, can directly or indirectly affect egg quality.
Morphological evaluation: These are seen in the laboratory, once the oocyte extraction is done. Analysing the cumulus-oocyte complex is important in conventional IVF procedures.
In the case of (ICSI), there is the removal of the cells that are around the oocyte, to check the optimum stage of maturity.  After this step, one can watch for clarity, granularity, endoplasmic reticulum,
These are the characteristics which may not be harmful in all cases but do provide some information
Embryonic evaluation:
In general, a worse oocyte quality is due to abnormal fertilization during the first days of evolution, although it is true that at the moment in which the malefactor is added, it is more difficult to point out exactly which factor is affecting embryonic development.
How can we improve the egg quality?
According to data collected by the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF), a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30 or less than 20, can affect fertility. Therefore, food is a crucial factor that can affect fertility.
Obesity or being overweight in women is associated with ovulation problems. altered maturation of the ovarian follicles leading to poorer egg quality.
A varied diet, composed mainly of fruits and vegetables, ensures the necessary supply of vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and antioxidants that are crucial for reproductive health. In addition, you should not forget to include healthy fats (nuts, olive oil), proteins, and dairy products.
Although age is a key factor in egg quality, embryo quality and pregnancy rate vary from month to month. This means, even if your first cycle is unsuccessful, there is a  reason to try again.
Yash IVF has a centre of excellence in treating repeated failures of implantation due to egg quality. An excellent embryology lab is the heart of this process and we maintain the same standard which is the reason our success rate of YASH IVF is around 70%.

Humans vs. Robots: Picking the Best Audience for Your SEO Content
Google processes more than 8.5 billion searches every day. That’s more than 100,000 searches per second, thousands of which could lead a user to a purchase.
It’s no wonder, then, that 60% of marketers list SEO as their number one inbound marketing priority.
But generating organic traffic comes with challenges. Google has hundreds of billions of webpages in its index, competing for the top spots on search result pages. Not to mention, when you’re writing for search engines, you technically have two audiences: bots and humans.
Let’s look at how these audiences compare and see who you should be writing for.
Writing content for SEO: who to write for
Tumblr media
Bots and humans are the chicken and the egg of search engine optimization. You need humans to make a sale, but you can’t get the humans without the help of bots.
The question is, which one comes first on your priority list? To answer that, let’s define each of these audiences.
Writing for humans
Human readers are the ones that can eventually make a purchase and become a customer. When making purchase decisions, humans need product details and pricing, but that type of information usually isn’t enough.
If you want to create content that resonates with a human audience, your content needs empathy, storytelling, and emotional reasoning. Studies show that storytelling, in particular, releases oxytocin in the brain, a hormone associated with positive feelings such as happiness and trust.
Tumblr media
Storytelling also helps you structure your writing in a way that’s easy for human readers to follow and understand. Ultimately, when you write for people, you want to have a clear message that connects with humans.
Writing for robots
In this case, the robots we refer to are search engine crawlers or spiders. Unlike humans, web crawlers can’t buy a product from you, no matter how great your marketing.
But bots influence your position on Google’s search engine results pages (SERPs), which impacts whether or not human readers will see your content.
Search engine spiders respond to optimizations around indexing technical SEO. In other words, you want to use your keywords and heading structure to make it easier for bots to figure out the context of your content.
How to pick your audience
An analysis done by FirstPageSage found that the top-ranking article on Google’s SERPs receives an average CTR of 39.6%. And by the time you get to the 5th position, the average CTR drops to 5.1%.
If your goal is organic traffic, you need the help of search bots to get more human eyes on your content. But you never want to sacrifice your human audience. After all, they’re the only ones who can become your customers.
So, the answer to our question of which audience to choose is: Both.
This sounds like a bit of a cop-out, but the good news is they’re not mutually exclusive.
Google has continued to update its search algorithm to better process natural language and measure performance metrics that affect the user experience. These updates have made it easier to create an SEO content marketing strategy that works for both audiences.
How to write SEO content for humans and robots
Writing SEO-optimized content that works for crawlers and people is all about balance. You need to understand which elements impact each target audience the most and include them without ruining the experience for the other group.
Here are some steps to improve your SEO content strategy and drive more organic traffic.
Word choice
Word choice matters most for your human readers, but there are some aspects that apply to search engine bots.
For bots, you want to stay concise and make your content easier for Google to read and establish context. To do so, remove fluff terms, choose strong words over adjectives, and avoid long, multisyllabic words.
Here are some examples of how you can tailor the word choice for Google bots.
“Open the app” instead of “simply open the app”
“We’re thrilled” instead of “we’re very excited”
“Required” instead of “mandatory”
Choosing words for humans requires a little more nuance. First, avoid language that insults your reader's intelligence, such as the word “clearly”.
Second, opt for specific terms instead of general ones. For instance, “50% of respondents” is clearer than “many respondents”.
Finally, use inclusive language. Words such as “humankind” and “they” encompass more people than “mankind” and “she”.
Reading level
People search Google to find answers, not to read college-level explanations. Lowering your content’s reading level gives humans a more pleasant user experience.
Reading level doesn’t impact SEO rank directly. However, it can affect page experience metrics like dwell time and bounce rate, which impact SEO.
The Flesch Reading Ease score is a tool you can use to analyze the readability of your text. For instance, you can benefit from online tools like the Hemingway Editor that use Flesch score to test your writing.
The Flesch score uses average sentence length (ASL) and average syllables per word (ASW) to get your score, ranging from 0 to 100. The higher the score, the easier your content is to understand. Your score can also be connected to a Flesch-Kincaid reading level, which compares your writing difficulty to a school grade.
Here’s how the scores are divided by grade level:
Any score above 70 is easy for 7th grade or lower to understand
Scores between 60 and 70 are 8th to 9th-grade reading level
Scores between 50 and 60 are 10th to 12th-grade reading level
Scores below 50 are at college and professional reading levels
The Flesch-Kincaid reading level means someone at that reading level could easily understand your content. Try to aim for a score of 60 or higher, even if you’re writing for a college-level audience. Remember, your reader came to Google to find a clear answer, not read a dissertation.
Best practices to improve readability include adding transitions, writing shorter sentences, and using active verbs.
Content structure
Your content structure affects humans and bots. Headings and subheadings should make your post easier to read. If you include a table of contents at the top, a reader should be able to understand what your post is about and find the information they need.
Furthermore, your section titles are opportunities to capture your reader’s attention. So descriptiveness is not enough; you have to have a hook. For example, “10 Ways to Improve Your Time Management” is more personable and specific than “Time Management Tips.”
As for the search bot, structure helps it figure out the context of your article. To optimize for bots, include primary and supporting keywords in your headings. You can even use GPT-3 AI Tools to help generate outlines once you’ve done the keyword research.
Remember that AI tools are great for pointing you in the right direction when it comes to ideation, but you should ensure your finished text still makes sense to a human reader.
Visuals
Using images and other media to break up large chunks of text helps improve the user experience. Similar to structure, visual elements matter for both of your audiences.
When it comes to your human audience, you want to choose visuals that help readers understand the text they complement. So ensure you include images near relevant text and avoid generic stock photos.
Instead, try:
GIFs
Embedded videos
Infographics, statistics, and graphs
Screenshots with annotations
Expert quote images
To optimize images for search bots, Google recommends using high-quality images and compressing the files, so they don’t lower your page speed. Furthermore, you should add descriptive metadata (such as title, caption, and file name) that includes keyword phrases when relevant.
Tumblr media
Finally, pay attention to your alternate text (or alt text). The alt text describes images for search engine bots and screen readers for people who can’t see. Writing descriptive alt text is an essential part of accessible content writing.
While bots scan this text, you ultimately want to create a description that helps your human reader picture what’s in the image. In other words, avoid keyword stuffing and opt for a description of what’s going on in the image instead.
For example:
Keyword-stuffed alt text: “shoes trainers sneakers fashion shoes footwear women’s shoes accessories athletic shoes”
Descriptive alt text: “pair of women’s sneakers in white”
Grammar, spelling, and capitalization
Proper grammar and spelling help you build trust with your readers.
According to Google Search Central, grammar is not a direct factor for search engine rankings. But, if a search bot can’t crawl your website because of errors, that’ll harm your search performance. On the other hand, proper spelling can improve your page’s authority score.
Spelling is especially important when it comes to brand names. As Dale Carnegie, author of How to Win Friends and Influence People, states, “A person’s name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.”
This might seem like a minor factor, but the brands you write about care if you spell (and capitalize) their names correctly.
Here are a few brands that people commonly misspell:
WordPress, not Wordpress
HubSpot, not Hubspot
Mailchimp, not MailChimp
Some word processors might not have brand names included in their spell check, but you can use Grammarly’s style guide feature to autocorrect for brands you frequently write about across a team of writers and editors.
Content length
Although Google has confirmed that word count is not an SEO ranking factor, that doesn’t mean you should ignore it.
Google does prioritize comprehensive answers to search terms, so long-form content may perform better. In other words, content length can indicate how well your writing meets a user’s search intent compared to the competition.
SEO optimization tools like Clearscope provide word count suggestions based on the length of the top-ranking pages. That said, don’t sacrifice quality content to create longer articles. Adding meaningless content to meet a word count goal can hurt the reader experience.
Page titles
You should write your page titles for bots and people. Writing for bots means including the target keyword in your SEO title tag and meta description. Doing so gives search engines more context and improves your chances of ranking for the right keywords.
Page titles for people should include keywords, but they also need to pique the reader’s interest so you can increase your click-through rate. You can make your titles click-worthy by including emotional words, adding urgency, and making them personal.
Tumblr media
Here are some examples.
Emotional: “5 Proven Ways to Fall Asleep Easily”
Urgent: “How to Stop Procrastinating Right Now”
Personal: “Resume Template to Land Your Dream Job”
Titles are one of the main factors affecting how much traffic your page receives, so they’re an excellent place to A/B test.
Writing for search engines: optimize for robots or people?
When it comes to writing SEO-friendly content, it’s not a question of humans vs. robots but rather how to optimize for both. The actionable steps in this article are an excellent place to start if you want to create content that ranks on SERPs and resonates with potential customers.

When we’ve needed one another most, we’ve needed to hold our distance to guard ourselves and our neighbors. Thankfully, we’re discovering new ways to stay connected and spend time collectively. Times have changed, but the celebrations haven’t stopped. With social distancing, masks and different necessary measures in place to maintain our community protected, micro-events have become a popular method to get together. In this celebration meals class, these honey barbecue hen bites are undoubtedly certainly one of my favorites. If you really want to make a press release, go all out and whip up mini cheeseburgers. Frozen rolls, a pound of floor beef, bacon, cherry tomatoes, sharp cheddar cheese, sesame seeds, and lettuce spherical out the ingredient record for this simple celebration appetizer. Serving this is easy, as most string cheese comes pre-packaged and you merely need to discover a way to keep the cheese cold. With calcium and protein, this snack helps athletes repair and construct muscle. If essential, add apples for a sugar enhance to the protein-calcium punch. These concessions could operate with restricted fixture necessities as outlined within the Kentucky Food Establishment Act and State Retail Food Code. There is basically nothing easier than providing natural foods that need little to no packaging and barely any refrigeration. Often, concession stands get very wrapped up in pre-packaged objects with model names when the simplest choices generally present the best diet.

I’m a fan of how Wonder Egg Priority takes the stance that being a bystander (i.e. “seeing no evil”) automatically means siding with the oppressor.
Tumblr media
If you’re not actively fighting against this unjust system that allows the abuse of young girls, you’re part of the problem; you’ve assimilated said system’s values, decided that it’s okay that these girls are being abused. You’re the Seeno evil. You’re the enemy, and you can be cut down along with the Wonder Killer. And that’s why Ai feels so guilty about what happened to Koito; she feels like she betrayed Koito by being a bystander to her abuse.
Tumblr media
And it’s only when Ai makes up her mind that she’s done pretending to not see the absolute injustice of the world around her, done walking with the crowd, done being passive, that her pen transforms into a weapon. Only when she chooses to stop being a bystander can she oppose this system built on passive acceptance.

i'm sure a lot of us feel a kind of way about this episode but lack a way to like, convey that? i anticipated this would go in the direction of weird human experimentation but it never occurred to me that Acca and Ura-Acca just. made themselves a child out of pure boredom and unrestrained scientific curiosity. clearly they realized how deeply they fucked up way too late. Frill.....they trapped her in a permanent state of adolescence. as smart and capable as she is (was?), she could never mature and grow from her experiences. imagine being trapped with the type of jealousy you felt at 14 forever, with the intense emotions you can't overcome with time....because time is stagnant for you. these two fucked up so badly, and every single way they handled how Frill acted out just made things worse. where is she now? why did they choose to tell Ai?

It seems like Rika, having little to no memory of her dad, idealized him because her home life wasn’t perfect and she needed someone to believe in. This seems to have made her mom even more of a villain in her eyes, taking away her father and ‘pretending she was a tragic heroine’.
The implication, however, is that her dad was also - mind my language - a piece of shit who couldn’t take the role of being a father and abandoned them. Her mother didn’t want Rika to meet him not because she was selfish, but because Rika could have been hurt realizing the truth.
Tumblr media
The episode has the idea of “protection”. Her mom protects her from her father, Mannen protects Rika from near death, and Rika in turn says she will protect her mom as well. “I won’t abandon you yet”.
It’s unclear what kind of person Rika’s mom is - I think she’s someone who has made and continues to make a lot of mistakes, but at the same time cares and tries. Rika accepts her (and her mom’s) weakness and flaws but vows to continue on and never abandon her, or abandon life.

What a banger! Half the show’s over and we’ve been treated to a lot of advancements to the plot and the various mysteries with episode 6 today. I’m talking, of course, of Wonder Egg Priority.
If you haven’t watched this latest episode yet, be aware of spoilers!
Everybody’s watched it now? Good. Because fucking hell.
Okay, let’s get right into it. Opening shot, we’re in the fighting world with Ai and her protectee of the week, Yae. And things are clearly escalating. The Mite Miru Furi (wonderfully translated as “Seeno Evils”) seem to be evolving. Acca is helping Ai out, voice only like in the first episode and explains because the girls (this seems to be happening to all of them) have become too prominent in the dream world, they’re now considered “heroes” and thus fair game to the newly evolved Antis (or “Haters”). The Seeno Evils are casting off their masks to become Haters, revealing a second, smaller mask underneath. You can not make up the trope density of this episode.
Actually, the whole opening sequence does have a different feel to prior episodes’ fights. Acca and Ura-Acca are suddenly much more involved, observing the girls on a giant screen, basically calling them their soldiers, introducing classic Japanese management mantras like 報・連・相 (HouRenSou), moving a lot more than the seated mannequins of the beginning, later on even giving them animal helpers (obviously referencing the classic Magical Girl Mascot), explicitly calling them power ups -- free of charge! These helpers even come in pendants that invoke images of soul gems. I know, I know, I’m always trying to see parallels with Madomagi, it’s just that Madoka was the MG anime of the 2010s, but if it keeps going like this, WEP might turn out to be the MG anime of the 2020s.
Tumblr media
I mean look at them! Tell me they don’t remind you of soul gems! Anyways ...
We also get a Title Drop! Like I said, this all seems at odds with what we’ve seen so far, where Acca & Co were acting much more laissez-faire, whereas now the girls are on A Mission with a clear Objective (to protect the egg, i.e. it’s the top priority, for short: Wonder Egg Priority) and basically two Commanding Officers.
Tumblr media
The title card is great, with the purikura “macho” picture on Ai’s phone case. We’re definitely supposed to infer that the girls have become fast friends.
Back in the real world, the mum lays the foundation to drop the bombshell we’ve all been expecting for a few episodes now: she’s got the hots for Sawaki-sensei (or has fallen for his nefarious scheme to ... something, nobody’s sure yet), reminding us that Ai’s still 14 and when you’re 14 and your single mum tells you that she found a new guy there’s only one way to react: sulk and fuck shit up. Ai does both, though she at least flinches when she breaks a window at the abandoned mall/amusement park Acca call home. (The mum does the tried and true way of getting it over with their child’s favorite food as a bribe. Like in every other book, show or movie, it doesn’t work.) I’m paraphrasing at this point, because the episode is told more nonlinear than earlier episodes and we only really find out after Ai tells her friends the next day.
When she does actually tell them, we get a good look into the group’s inner workings. Neiru as Ai’s first rival-turned-friend definitely still has the deepest connection with her. She is the one to bring it up in the first place, how Ai seems different today, brooding. And she does so in a soft voice and a way that we’re not accustomed to from her (ojousama CEO that she is). Momoe seems generally just happy that if Ai’s mum and her uncle get together, they might end up related (and she won’t hear a word against her uncle). Rika is all of us, spanning bold tales about how he might be involved with Koito’s death, or how he’s totally gonna sexually abuse Ai now.
And then Neiru comes up with the theory that Ai might be into Sawaki herself! Ai is quick to deny it, but the seed’s been planted in all our heads now, which is gonna make the last scene a total clusterfuck.
Once more to the dreamworld before that though. So, turns out that if you don’t defeat the boss, the egg girl’s trauma, one night, you apparently get the same girl again with the next egg until you’ve defeated it. Ai draws Yae again who killed herself because she can see the paranormal (”I can see dead people” style with an explicit shout-out to Sixth Sense by Ai; I dunno how to love this show more at this point, honestly). But Yae also looks like your run-of-the-mill chuunibyou, complete with eye patch, creepy teddy and everything. In the end, Ai just believes her, then uses Yae’s prayer beads to defeat her invisible trauma. (As we all know by now, the egg girls have to help/give their saviors something of them to be able to defeat a boss. Still unclear whether their main weapon is just the item their first girl had with them or if that’s just Ai.)
So, I’m not all that clear whether the invisible trauma actually is evidence for other paranormal stuff going on in the real world -- excluding Acca & Co for the moment -- or if Yae was just imagining things even then. It doesn’t really matter, as she killed herself either way and the trauma she carries from these apparitions is obviously real.
Back in the real world, Ai seems to have resolved to do something, rushes to the school, attaches herself to Sawaki-sensei’s arm, we’re all expecting a confession.
And then she tells him she’s coming. back. to. school. Roll credits. They’re so fucking good at this, damn it.
But still. I just can’t get over one thing: this guy
Tumblr media
continues to be unbelievably creepy whenever he’s on screen. He just cannot be good news. I simply know it. We’ve all seen Erased, a creepy teacher turning out to be a mass-murderer wouldn’t be a huge surprise.
Next episode is called 14才の放課後 (After school at 14), a title that really only reminds me of 14歳の恋 (Love at 14). And Ai is called Ai!! If this really was evidence, it would be so punny and up my alley. So ... does she really have the hots for the teacher herself? I still don’t wanna believe it. There’s rainbow shoes in the OP and the first thing Ai did when encountering Neiru was blush and comment on how hot she looked (and I’m still hung up on the whole Madomagi angle, and Madomagi without lesbians? Really?). But people can also just have a crush on two people at once.
It’s episode 6 and nothing is clear so far and it’s just really good and there’s a fucking cliffhanger and I cannot wait for next week aaaaaah.

Wonder Egg Priority may seem a fun/cute anime with just bunch of kids fighting monsters in each eggs, but it is actually very deep if you look more into it.
The monsters in each eggs represents different problems observed in our society in the present.
TW ⚠️
bullying
having no friends and being alone
abusive/manipulative mentors
being a lil too much of a narcissistic
toxic famous people who advantage their fans
getting misgendered for being yourself
hating people who's not like you
self-harm because of your own problems
fear of abandonment
being absorbed and obsessed in a certain work to find a solution or an answer to it
grooming
having a new family
Tumblr media
This anime is an absolute masterpiece, besides showing the harsh reality of our society, it showed; friendship, acceptance, love, and a lot of positive things in our humanity we shouldn't lose. Also has a great art style and an overall plot. I recommend this anime for all the new watchers, enjoy ✨

We got some really interesting developments in episode 9! Neiru’s conflict with deciding whether or not to take her friend off of life  support, and being created for the sole purpose of being a part of a company comprised of geniuses, were very interesting. Perhaps knowing that she was only created to become part of the company is why Neiru doesn’t have any dreams or hopes for the future. I wonder if Neiru’s comatose friend having heterochromia was intentional, and maybe why Neiru opens up to Ai more than the other girls. I feel like conversation Neiru had with her friend in the dream world about parallel lives has a deeper meaning, but that it won’t be revealed until future episodes. And that revelation at the end! The Accas are conspiring with someone in the human world? What do all these fights really mean? Will we really get to see the girls fight the Accas? I hope so!
Overall, another fantastic episode!

Wonder Egg Priority Final EP 12 Discussion/confusion:
SPOILERS AHEAD PLEASE SCROLL FAST!!!!
okey what? happened??? what!!!! what?????? im so confused and well clearly there is a sequel of some sort.. but tbh and this is my Own Opinion.. as much i love this anime, i think they kinda reached too high. this episode felt like they suddenly were like oh Lets set the feeling of “the first part of the journey has now finished” so they can get more seasons and stretch out the journey.. which is what i Want but it felt so rushed and confusing tbh..
i’ll be colorcoding the things that bother me and my questions.
Lets dissect:
before the egg:
first my girlies meet again and its such a heavy and intense meeting.. beside the very gorgeous art i loved their choice of long shots when they are discussing, as it felt like their own private convo that we are listening to, and ofc the gloominess of these shots. then it jumps to momoe and ai close shot and it feels SO HEAVY.. anDD RIKA ISNT IN THE SHOT.. i think their positions represent their communication techniques.. and my girls really suck at communication.
momoe refusing to explain herself is weird to me.. but i think it was a lot on her. AI reaction was understanding tho but my god i wish they went after momoe and rika.. they need each other SO MUCH to face frill.. which begs the question.. WHYY didnt ai tell them about frill??? wtff???? what was the point of the last ep? and of ai knowing whats up if She Didnt Say Shit??! bruh.. idk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ai and the egg:
now we reached the part that i think really pushed it waaay too much.. ai cracks the egg and surprise surprise.. its her.. from a parallel universe......... long silence..... honestly that felt soooo sooo rushed and weird and out of plaaace.. and the fact that acca and ura acca immediately explained oh its “parallel universes” like excuse me? u were shocked neiru got her friend but oh Yes parallel universes are so normal.. doesnt that literally change SO MUCH?? that means Any past Egg could be a parallel universe one.. maybe their friends went there when they disappeared? does that also mean then frill exists in every timeline? thats very eh confusing..
Tumblr media
i did tho love the growth ai went through.. i think they added a parallel universe ai to demonstrate to Us the viewers a real time comparison.. and to also tap into kioto’s death and give us a closure to it without ruining the fact that once people are revived they immediately disappear.. i believe giving us a truth with that restriction wouldv’e been impossible..
Tumblr media
im also proud of ai.. a lot.. she also said maybe she doesn’t wanna know and she ended up partially putting it together on her own.. she also was so sure and confident of who she became and of her happiness, and her judgement on the sensei.. she didn’t let her otherself’s fears manipulate her opinion or change it.. and it all just shines through her with her yellow jacket just ♥︎♥︎
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and this gorgeous shot so so lovely💛💙
Tumblr media
the third mess that is bigger than the first mess:
and then they go into the water and i cannot foer the life in me Tell u what what Hell Happened.. what??? all i got was: oh they defeated those doubts good for them.. ai got her conclusion good for her.. then she’s like “idk how to go to other universes YET but i’M gOinG to FiNd oUt and gO HelP yOu!! “like buddy thats waay too obvious that the creators want another adventure.. idk hope they can somehow make that a nice concept and elaborate cuz i reallllly love this anime.
Tumblr media
The End: TW
the creepy butterfly comes and ai acts smart.. and gets her otherself who supposedly already died dead? idk the rules are a mush now.. tho the shiny things thing.. i feel like it can be a reference.. also a lot of mirrors in this ep.. and we get the real villains of this story.. acca and ura acca.. frill is at the end their creation plus i Do Believe they could’ve killed the scary butterflies but they DIDNT cuzzz they want to bring the girl back... thus sacrificing the lives of so many.. and considering that our girls arent the first, it means that they saw the creepy butterflies do that over and over again.. then saw girls kill themselves from the trauma which is beyond fucked up.. and what they did to rika im Sueing..
Tumblr media
anyways i want the sequel now and i really enjoyed this anime dispite how Super Confusing it might get.. lowkey believe the writers themselves dont know whats happening
Tumblr media
and now it’s over.. I cant wait to see what Wonder Egg Priority has to offer and i wish the creators a very good kiss on the forehead.. thank you for reading and Please tell me what u thinkkk... ♥︎♥︎

sorry for wonder egg posting so much at 3 am but
what if the animal sidekicks are supposed to symbolize the girls accepting help, in a way? we haven't seen much of anyone else's animal sidekick yet but we did see leon, ai's chameleon.
the first time ai confronts the haters we see her having a lot of trouble confronting them. but as soon as she has leon helping out the haters basically vanish from the rest of the episode. maybe the sidekicks are there to show the girls that they could always reach out to other people and ask for help, and that would make dealing with their problems easier. it wouldn't guarantee to solve or resolve everything, like how ai still had to fight the boss even when she had leon helping out, but it would at least lighten the weight the girls carry on their shoulders if they had a support system they could rely on.
and i think it's also an important thing to remind people who are mentally ill or going through hardships that they always have the option to ask for help. it sure does fit thematically.

wonder egg priority, episode 7 “after school at 14″ analysis below the cut.
tw: child abuse/neglect, cutting, self-harm, stockholm syndrome, co-dependency, covert incest, (attempted) suicide
Rika’s Mother:
Tumblr media
During this scene, we get (finally) get a sneak peek of Rika’s home life, which has largely been up in the air up to this point. for the most part, Rika has either visited Ai’s home or has only mentioned her parents in passing (like when she mentions her dad saying pretty girls have people who will buy things for them). She hasn’t really discussed her home life.
What we do know:
-Rika calls Ai’s mom “mom” when she visits (in the dub), which signifies that she thinks of Ai’s mother as her own family (despite not being super familiar with her from the start).
-Because of this over-familiarity, we can extrapolate that Rika may not feel a strong connection with her own family or that her relationship with them may be strained.
-In this scene specifically, Rika’s mother is seen lifting her head from a table, indicating she fell asleep at a late hour either drinking or smoking. Later in the episode, it is revealed that they own a bar and Rika’s mother often stays up with patrons drinking and smoking. Most of the patrons are men.
-Judging from Rika’s impatience in this short scene, its likely this is a common occurrence that has caused a divide at least between Rika and her mother.
Tumblr media
Money is also a prominent theme in Rika’s life. Her favorite mantra is “Daddy says that when you’re a pretty girl, you will never have to spend your own money” and she makes sure to repeat this to any new people she meets (Neiru and Ai specifically).
This clip definitely keeps that important characterization in mind when Rika’s mother informs us that its Rika’s birthday and for her to “buy something [she] like[s].” There is a heavy tension in the air throughout this brief interaction (referenced earlier). Rika’s mother could be attempting atonement by providing Rika with money for her birthday as a replacement for attention, love, affection, etc.
My personal intuition is Rika’s mother has also internalized Rika’s father’s mantra and repeating this mantra to Rika. It’s possible Rika’s mother is projecting her multiple and brief experiences with men onto Rika as way to guide Rika down a path of finding a man who will take care of Rika’s financial needs.
I think the message that came through on this episode the hardest was Rika’s epiphany that children had to save their parents:
Tumblr media
I don’t agree. Especially because Rika is a child, a 14-year old girl. It is not her duty to “protect [her] mom.” In instances such as abuse, however, the parent-child relationship becomes extremely convoluted and the issues that arise in the relationship can even be compounded by single parenthood (and abuse).
Often, children of single parents become survivors of a term called “covert incest.” These children often become therapists for the parents’ financial problems, emotional turmoil, relationship failings, etc. This puts unnecessary burdens onto children that can often encourage them to form unbalanced/co-dependent relationships with other people that could easily out-power them. I won’t go into much detail about it here, but I definitely suggest reading some material on it. A great book to reference would be “Why Does He Do That?” by Lundy Bancroft.
Thankfully, Rika snaps out of the daze, claiming that allowing Mannen to rescue her, would make her an undesirable mother. She recognizes the issues of having a child carry the burden of “protecting” a parent.
Rika’s Father:
Tumblr media
Rika, for her birthday, is determined to find out who her father is. She has a stack of photos that her mom took with various men and Rika is sure one of them his her biological father.
Up to this point, Rika has given us a very laid back, gossip-y girl facade with brief glimpses into her true nature as a thoughtful girl with a lot of hang-ups on life. She imparts small quips like “what if we don’t save our girls” (episode 6) and is incredibly insightful when it comes to other girls’ intentions (accusing Ai of wanting to go back to school because she misses Mr. Sawaki, episode 6).
Even if she may not be right with her perceptions, she does seem to have a perspective different from all the other girls based on what I have assumed to be her background up to this point (back when I analyzed episode 3). It would not be unlikely to inference that Rika has put a lot of time, research, and effort into this goal of finding who her father is.
I worry about her mental state. Perhaps this is just an escapist routine she has been latching onto as a way to “replace” her neglectful mother. It mirrors her mother’s apparent search to find a man who would take care of her. Rika believes if she can find her true father, then her home life could be better (finding her father means she can replace her mother).
Rika Cutting:
Tumblr media
This is the first time we have seen the weapons of the girls (outside of Ai’s pen) in their real lives. This confirms that the weapons they use are a significant item they own (I’m not so sure all of them are coping items though, as I had originally believed). This is a significant scene in the series. Back in episode 3, Rika was taking a bath at Ai’s house when we here her promise to herself she wouldn’t cut again.
We’re reminded of this promise when Reddi, Rika’s partner, catches Rika’s attention as she prepares to cut her arms.
Tumblr media
We’re given a bit of hope as Rika smiles softly at Mannen before she tells him to “come back.” There is no resolution to this scene. Instead, we are immediately shown Rika’s next Wonder Egg Girl fight. In this scene, Rika has a fresh bandage on her arm, indicating she did not keep her promise.
Tumblr media
Rika’s Wonder Egg:
Tumblr media
This is the first time we’ve encountered an Egg that absolutely did not want the girl to kill the Egg Killer. This definitely made me reflect on what Rika said in the previous episode about “maybe we don’t need to save them [wonder eggs],” which was met with the other girls’ conflicting thoughts about needing to save their eggs to save their friends.
However, this is not the first time we have seen a Wonder Egg cause conflict with one of the girls (refer back to Neiru in episode 5). It seems as the Seeno Evils evolve into Haters, its quite possible that the Wonder Eggs make the girls’ quests (reviving their friends from their suicides) a lot harder to accomplish.
The conflict Eggs present to the girls also speaks to the fact that some “survivors” (used loosely, because the Eggs are dead, so have not survived their abuse), can also be perpetrators of abuse, which can complicate survivorship (whether you read the Eggs as individuals in need of help or as extensions of the girls as a way to combat their own insecurities/traumas).
I’ll admit, I’ve been pretty wary of the Wonder Egg system since the beginning. I don’t think it is at all feasible to revive the lost girls, but given that the challenges in the Egg World become more... evolved... its becoming more suspicious that perhaps it may be a way to coax more girls to commit suicide to trick other girls into “saving them.”
Friendship and Suicide:
I think it is extremely important the emphasis friendship has on this episode. There are a few takeaways to be had when discussing the dynamics of this episode though:
-friendship is important for those struggling with suicidal thoughts
-even if suicidal people feel there would be no people who would care if they were no longer to exist, that is often not the case
-even though friends are incredibly important and can alleviate the struggles for those with suicidal tendencies, it is not the responsibility of said friends to prevent someone else’s suicide
-suicide is an entirely personal issue, and although we can provide support for loved ones, ultimately, it is up to the suicidal person to continue surviving
These are very difficult truths to face, and if you are a friend of someone who is suicidal, has committed suicide, or has attempted suicide, difficult feelings about your (supposed) responsibility is normal.
