Back in 2013, I began my journey as a shiny hunter in earnest. One of my earliest hunts was Mewtwo from FR/LG. This was my first ever soft reset hunt, and I obtained it in 1,061 SRs.

Since this was in Gen 3, I used the Emerald cloning glitch to make multiple copies of it. Most are still sitting in a FR cartridge somewhere, but some were sent to Pokemon Y. I had planned to hold onto them forever, but on the eve of the 3DS online shutdown, I figured....why not go out with one last hurrah?

I knew what I was getting into. Surely I would receive a Zigzagoon back. Maybe even a Scatterbug. I was prepared for anything. This was, after all, my final sendoff, my last show of generosity to the Wonder Trade that gave me so many memorable Pokemon.

But fate had other plans.

As it's almost the final day of Wi-Fi services for the 3DS and Wii U, I've taken it upon myself to do some specially-prepared send-off Wonder Trades in Pokemon Ultra Moon! A little about what I've prepared:

With the exception of the two Volcarona (one pictured below), all Pokemon being traded away have:

Ideal IVs (one irrelevant stat or no stats off of a perfect 31)

Competitively/Battle Tree viable Natures and Abilities

Fully EV trained for competitive/the Battle Tree

A competitive/Battle Tree viable moveset

Are at level 100

Have Pokerus

Have 4 Ribbons (Alola Champion, Effort, Footprint, and Best Friends)

Hatched where or close to where they're found in the wild (and not just Paniola Ranch)

Are holding a fossil (aka a second bonus Pokemon to get in the trade)

(The Volcarona are not level 100, don't have the Best Friends Ribbon, and may have one incorrect IV or Ability)

For Halloween, I am planning on doing a sort of event in Pokemon Sword and Sheild. I use those games because it's the most recent games I have. I plan to breed/catch a bunch of Halloween-based Pokemon and mass-send them through surprise trade near Halloween. Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist are the main candidates. I may add Mimikyu and the Litwick line too. I'll give more details as they come

In the storyline, LS would constantly wonder trade Wurmples to get more powerful Pokémon. Once, she received a Galarian Moltres, which was when Norwyn officially banned her from trading altogether. However, she had Micah help her continue an underground WT ring, where she bred them and sent them away in a manner akin to an assembly line-type of ordeal.

Doing wonder trades in Pokémon Ultra Moon. I still can't believe the 3DS and Wii U official servers are going down tomorrow...

The way they did Wonder/Surprise Trades is amazing in the Ultra games. You don't sit awkwardly in the overworld while it's ongoing, and return to the Start button once your current trade concludes. Only three taps are required to select a 'mon once you're in the trade loop (And don't have to switch boxes).

I'm aiming to acquire as many low-level 'mons as possible for future challenge runs.

Though, uh... I'm getting a lot of shinies. A lot of them are hacked, I presume?

The Chansey in the box with Electivire is also shiny, but I hit the image limit for this post.

We're not even getting into the mythicals...
