It was cool up on the tree branch, the summer months beginning to lighten into autumn.

"I don't think so. I mean, we don't have to," Billy said. He was sitting right next to Steve, their legs pressed together.

"It's just practice, right?" Steve finally looked at Billy, blinking at him slowly. "It doesn't really count."

"No, I think it only counts if it's with a girl."

Steve knew that wasn't true. If it only counted when boys and girls kissed, his dad wouldn't get so mad over boys kissing other boys in the city.

"Okay," Steve said, smiling at Billy. "We need to be good at kissing if we're gonna get girlfriends this year."

Seventh grade was, in fact, an important year. The girls in Steve's class were only getting prettier, and he had started to notice them more and more.

"Close your eyes," Billy said. "That's how they do it in movies."

Steve closed his eyes, and he felt Billy's breath against his face before he felt Billy's lips against his.

Steve wasn't really sure how it was supposed to feel, how he was supposed to feel. But he knew he liked it.

The wind rustled the still-green leaves in the tree around them.

They pulled apart.

"How was that?" Steve asked. "Was it okay? I didn't really know what to do."

Billy grinned at him.

"Me neither."

I'm craving some fun, soft, geek to have Star Wars marathons with. We'd definitely both share the enthusiasm for our nieces/nephews and take them on fun trips. With Jake there's a lot of simple sweetness and patience, so I imagine the arguments wouldn't be heated and nasty, but quickly resolved.

I'm sorry this literally makes no sense!

You touch your fingers to your lips, gazing curiously at the man before you. “Do I have something on my mouth?”

Bucky clears his throat and instantly reverts his eyes back to yours, “No. What were you saying?”

He convinced himself he keeps staring at your lips to hear you better and watch you mouth the words you’re saying. But why he keeps wondering to the feel of them, the warmth of them and the feeling of your tongue – he doesn’t really get why that’s important. Bucky might be in denial a little bit, about the attraction he might have towards people.

Towards you.

“Bucky.”

“What?”

“Why do you keep looking at my lips?”

“I don’t know,” he blurts out and forces his entire body to relax. His heart keeps pounding very loudly and it’s annoying. Before you can question him further, he quickly adds, “Just tell me about that article again?”

He likes how you always want to share weird pieces of news and information that you pick up everywhere. He doesn’t know how you somehow absorb all of the stories everybody skates over, finding the most fascinating things in your surroundings. He hates how hard you make it for him to listen to you when you are always so interesting. Thank God, you have continued talking.

And he’s staring at your lips again.

Bucky holds up two fingers, “Just stop for a second.”

You purse your lips and stop talking, a frown etching itself onto your face. He should hesitate, should definitely think this over – the way he overthinks most things – but there’s a primal impulsivity at play here. A part of him that bounces around excitedly like a kid whenever you’re around. He just wants to play with you, talk to you, mess with you and – fuck, he just wants to kiss you.

Yet that childish impatience, that primal need to have you near, doesn’t make him move quickly. It makes him move like water, like silk, when he gently takes your cheeks into his hands and leans in. He tries not to look at your widening eyes and focuses on the sagging of your shoulders when you realise what he’s about to do.

His thumbs stroke gently over your cheekbones and he sighs softly, his breath washing over you warmly. Your eyes close and the next thing you feel is his soft lips nipping at your bottom lip with such care, such tenderness, it makes your lips part with a sigh. You feel him smile against your lips before he fully presses his mouth to yours, a low hum rumbling up from his chest.

Yes. Oh, yes. This is what he’s been craving all this time. It probably should have been difficult for him to slip back into kissing after all this time, but it’s so easy. So easy to just follow his body and mesh his lips to yours until a breathy moan sounds in the back of your throat. All he has to do is make you do that again. Maybe let his tongue explore a little. And ah, there’s that moan again.

Oh, he’s got the kissing thing down. All he has to do is want you – really, really want you – and he has got that down. Kissing you is the easy part. And with you kissing him back like that, he doubts it’ll ever become harder. Though something is…

Unfortunately I don’t have a YouTube, and admittedly probably won’t have one for a long time… I’d love to do speedpaints, but at the moment, my art process is uhh a little less than traditional lol, so that would be very difficult to pull off. I do my lineart traditionally (on a piece of physical paper), then scan it with my phone to color and shade it and add effects via phone apps haha.

I have been searching for a good art app to hopefully make the change fully to digital art… So it might be something I do in the future if I can find a good program that won’t bankrupt me lol! But I wouldn’t get your hopes up, unfortunately
