There comes a time in every father’s life that he has to make a choice. Now sometimes that choice is family, or work. And sometimes that choice is whether or not it’s worth being scolded by your wife if you don’t bring your kids to their bloody activities.

“Oy! Wonderteam. Ya got five minutes to get ya bloody arses down or that ball is not the only thing getting kicked today!” He yells, the first thunder of footsteps down the stairs tells him it’s been effective.

Ben, the middle of the three is the first to come down. “It’s Ryan’s fault, he keeps roping us into making his Lego movies.” He whines as he takes the last few steps down. Thankfully the lad is already in uniform and he’s holding his football shoes in his hand by the laces.

He ruffles Ben’s dark blond hair and guides him to the bench by the door. “I don’t care who’s fault it is, as long as we get going, pumpkin. Now put your shoes on.”

“Ryan! Sarah! I ain’t asking again!”

Another thunder of steps comes down, Ryan’s uniform shirt is on backwards but at least he’s wearing it, his light blond hair is wild and unkempt, and for whatever fucking reason he’s only wearing one of his football shoes.

Fuck it’s one of these days again.

“Where’s your other bloody shoe?”

“I don’t know… It’s not in my room.”

“Oh for fuck’s sake. Ya mum’s gonna kill me, mate.”

“I’ve got it!” Sarah says as she comes up behind her brother and holds up the missing shoe. She’s the youngest of the three of ‘em, and on days like these she’s a fucking godsend.

“Cheers, Love. Have you got-“

“- My shoes on, my uniform on, I just need your help with my hair, Dad.”

“Right.” He grabs Ryan’s second shoe from her and gets him sorted on the bench next to his little brother.

He quickly combs Sarah’s platinum hair back in a ponytail, fastens it with an elastic, and gets them all out to the van in record time.

If anyone had told him eight years ago that William Butcher would have to deal with his own triplets down the road and be a stay-at-home dad, he’d have laughed in their faces and called them a nutter.

But now, as he looks in his rear-view mirror of the dark blue minivan he’s driving, all three of his kids well behaved and practically bouncing in excitement, well, he sure as hell didn’t want it any other way now.

T.T.T week 5:Miles on Miles.

從3K(公里)、5K到10K，跑步這件事，有點像是重新認識自己的過程，一點一點見證了自己的進步，也會慢慢發覺到，人體所能承受的極限，完全不是自己的想像。

回顧一下自己的跑步史，確切來說，是從2015年當兵時，在新訓中心所跑的兩次3K鑑測，跑時氣喘吁吁，跑完則謝天謝地，沒有想到這是自己跑步的開端，下了部隊後，開始跟著同梯友人訓練，趁著放假開始養成了練跑的習慣，服兵役很浪費時間，但並非完全沒收穫。

我想應該每個人都一樣，設定要跑3K，跑到2.5K就會接近放棄，設定5K，跑到4K就會鬆懈，不過實際上人體還能跑，且還很有活力，而後開始嘗試中長距離訓練，從8K、10K開始，終於在2018年完成了台北馬拉松，也是人生的初半馬（21K）。

我認為，身體狀況允許下，跑步是心裡素質大於身體上的訓練，調整好跑姿和呼吸，往往在放棄邊緣，努力堅持一下，最後發現自己還有繼續撐完了5K的能力，對自己的堅持感到欣慰，也對自己的體能嘖嘖稱奇。

有些人認為跑步很無聊，沒錯，畢竟是在1小時內重複同樣的動作，對於我來說，有點像日本人所說的「zone」的概念，進入了zone，跑姿在順暢下來後，身體的動作彷彿是機器一般，這是跑步最舒服的時刻，這個時候，可以專心的想很多事情，面對自己的體能，也許自己永遠不知道自己的極限，但每次跑步都是更加認識了自己。

個人在右膝受傷後，只有跑馬拉松時才會在路面上跑步，其餘時間都在PU跑道上跑步，台北田徑場是我最喜歡的場地，只要有開放的日子，必定是訓練的首選場地，除了設施完整，與國際選手使用同一個跑道上訓練，也是很特殊的體驗，在台北生活的各位，快跑起來吧！

Just finished Pokemon Y with my Wonder Team

Got my team that I used for the entire game off of Wonder Trade at the very beginning Starting team: Beldum- lvl 1 Magikarp- lvl 1 Scatterbug- lvl 1 Charmander- lvl 1 Tentacruel- lvl 34 Xatu- lvl 45 At first I was pretty disappointed, as I got four lvl 1s and two that were too high a level and I couldn't use them. Then of course Magikarp is useless until he evolves and Beldum only knows take down until it evolves, and I've always disliked bug type Pokemon. Long story short I would have never picked anyone on my team besides Charmander. After playing for awhile, I had made a commitment to finish the game with my wonder team, and I started to really enjoy it. It was much more challenging than I was used to, as I always choose to use the same type of Pokemon, I was forced to learn a whole new type matchup on who was strong against whom and who was weak against whom so I knew who to use and who not to use. And I also made a few discoveries on Pokemon that I like. I really love my Vivillon and I would love to collect all of his wing colors. I would absolutely play with another bug type. I just beat the elite four and became the Champion, and I think I might transfer this team over to OR and start over again after I check out a few other things that being Champion unlocks. This time I think with an all Eeveelution game. End Team: Metagross- lvl 81 Gyarados- lvl 82 Vivillon- lvl 82 Charizard- lvl 82 (with Charizardite Y) Tentacruel- lvl 82 Xatu- lvl 82 All in all, it was a really fun gameplay experience and I fully recommend it to anyone who has never tried it.
