I made a little cape for fall. It's made of wool and linen. This is my first new sewing project, I usually mend, recycle, and alter existing clothes.

been wearing exclusively men's clothes ("""men's clothes""" you know what i mean. clothes tailored built and sold with men in mind. they're my clothes) for like 7 years now and it's leading to very funny instances of my dad desperately trying to give me some of his old things that don't fit him anymore like "it's too small on me and it'll be too big on you but you should try try it try it". & on one hand My Father. If I Wear This I Will Look Like I'm Wearing My (20+ cm taller than me) Father's Clothes. Because I Am. on the other hand. yeah lemme try that on real quick.

"Cardinal" Cape, American, last 3rd of 18th century, wool
"The hooded cape is a variant of the capuchin, or monk’s habit. It is gathered in a circular shape at the back to stand high without crushing the mobcap or coiffure underneath."
