As the release of Kung Fu Panda 4 is approaching, many members of r/Schaffrillas have said they aren't fans of Zhen (mostly because she is voiced by Awkwafina). So what if Zhen had a bizarre Heffalumps and Woozles type of nightmare.

While I can agree with other members of r/Schaffrillas on Awkwafina part, I like Zhen's character design and I want to give her a chance for potentially being a great character.

Ok, I see a lot of leftists that uncritically spread conspiracy theories, and knowingly perpetuate them without even a single shred of critical thinking. So, let's talk about woozles.

A woozle is basically when a source cites another source, which states misinformation or conspiracy theories, in an attempt to make it appear credible and backed by evidence. An example of this occurred when the AIDS epidemic broke out in the US. The KGB in Russia asked a newspaper in India to post an article about how the HIV/AIDS virus was manufactured in an American military lab and then spread from there, so the Moscow Times could quote the article in their papers. The deed was done, and the "news" rapidly spread globally before eventually reaching the US in or about 1987. This whole ordeal was called different things, Operation Denver in Russia, Operation Vorwärts II in East Germany, and Operation Infektion elsewhere. This mass quoting of a false source was arguably one of the first woozles.

Woozles are obviously named after Winnie the Pooh, where Piglet and Pooh follow what are said to be Woozle tracks, only to find that they're following their own tracks. A more contemporary example of a woozle is something like, "the CIA killed JFK," or "the FBI killed MLK." These are basically the opposite of regular conspiracy theories, in that they aren't so much pushed to the fringes of popular belief, but rather normalized in pop culture and everyday society. However, conspiracy theories are just that, theories, which in these cases don't have much evidence besides word of mouth (i.e. "someone else said so") or vague, easily misinterpreted details about the cases that may or may not hint at someone who didn't act alone.

So, what do I do to spot a woozle? Check all of your sources you cite, check their credibility, their potential biases, who else they cite, etc. Also, think critically about what you hear online. Who is saying this and why? What information can I look up to prove their claim? These are all important questions you need to ask before you unwittingly spread mis/disinformation, propaganda, or just plain bunk.
