Lately, not a single day has passed without the Armenian phrase "cavd tanem" [ցավդ տանեմ], directly translating to "Let me take away your pain", crossing my mind. A phrase filled with such deep devotion and yet, it's uttered daily and graces simple everyday conversations. In a sentence, it simply replaces the name of the addressee.
"Vonc es, cavd tanem?" - "How are you, [let me take your pain away]?"
"Cavd tanem, jur kberes?" - "[Let me take away your pain], could you bring me a glass of water?"
Such abundance of love that miniature rivers of it effortlessly flow into the most pedestrian pathways!

i want 'i'll be right there with you'. i want 'this world has meaning because it has you'. i want 'i'll see you on the other side'. i want 'you're the most precious person in the whole world to me'. i want 'how could we ever separate?'. i want 'Without you, my world has just stopped'. i want 'most of the past isn't worth mentioning, except the fact I've met you'. i want 'until the sun and the moon collapse, we'll be side by side'.
As much as I enjoy Kaiju 8, I wish the whole clean up angle was still like...a thing.
Even just for worldbuilding. Let them do strength training on corpse parts that are in storage for repurposing later. Show me the fluidstains that have seeped too deep into the sidewalk. Hollowed out kaiju shells that got repurposed into buildings cause breaking it down would have taken too many ressources compared to marketing them as bombproof livving space. Let people complain about the R&D Departement being the worst smelling place ever to the point that the people working there have just given up
Everything is so squeaky clean and I just don't buy it!You've been fighting giant Monsters for Generations, where is the gunk??
I've been listening to Words of Love by the Beatles for a week now. Like nonstop on loop like a madwoman.
Originally released by Buddy Holly in June 20, 1957 just shortly before that legendary fete meeting.
I can imagine John and Paul listening to this record nonstop, bonding over the music and their love for Buddy in 1957.
Then in October 1964, they decide to cover the song. Harmonizing in typical Everly Brothers fashion, singing into one mic, eye to eye.
Eyes glinting, smiles in their controlled voices :
Hold me close and
Tell me how you feel
Tell me love is real
Words of love you
Whisper soft and true
Darling, I love you
Let me hear you say
The words I long to hear
Darling, when you're near
Words of love you
Whisper soft and true
Darling, I love you
In 1985, Paul Mccartney sung the song all by himself. Without John to harmonize with. You know how John sings his Elvis tunes by himself reminiscing on his memories with Paul? I think that's what Paul does when he sings Buddy Holly songs.
“No, up until the advent of Buddy Holly, he would never be seen out with glasses, Buddy Holly, who was a big favourite of ours, wore glasses so John felt a bit better about wearing the glasses then…" ~Paul Mccartney
"I know that, because of the way I am, like when we were in Mendips, like I said, “Do you like me?” or whatever it is. I’ve always – uh, played that one." ~John Lennon while speaking to Paul from the Lunchroom Tape
This song particularly reminded me that John Lennon always needed the reassurance from his loved ones because of his abandonment issues.
