a Stephen Strange x Female Reader Wedding Fic

(excerpt is from Stephen’s pov)

‘No veil for this breathtaking, blushing bride’ he had thought, covering his heart with his right hand as he took in the sight of you. Instead of silk tulle, delicate lace or formal organza, you wore two pure white gardenias in your lush, dark hair, one behind each ear--and Stephen would retell the story of his first sight of his beautiful bride on their wedding day exactly so, in the many years to come, always adding, ‘It seemed only right for Nature’s beauty to adorn her. Nothing made by the mere hand of man or woman would have suited her more perfectly.’

Sunday Six (2/12/23)

Polar night has subtleties that are easier to discern. Or maybe Isak has a better eye for the color blue, its minute shadings. Like the noon-time now―the richer cobalt blue at the top of the sky, dotted with breath-like wisps of clouds, the less-dark blue below it, and the salmon-pink band at the bottom. When Isak taps the cold window, his hand appears to hover over Rødtinden in the distance, and briefly, he imagines himself plucking the whole mountain from the earth.

“This is a pretty picture.” 

Even’s eyes are the very best blue. His favorite.

Working on a scientific journal cover art submission. They say cartoons are "discouraged" but nothing about illustrations, or the difference between cartoons v illustrations

publications tend to have a 2D bias since 3D models look "smarter", so we'll see how this goes. So far, I'm happy with the design. We'll see how I push this

So Spouse is a video game addict. Not just funny haha, more like “has used gaming to cope with serious psychiatric issues for 20 years and now is trying to live without them.”  Long story short, lots of diagnoses, no clear medication path forward due to not liking side effects and being so gaslit by parental units that we don’t know which issue happened first.  We’ve entered the Secret Cow level of his life:  finding hobbies when closer to 40 than 18. 

(I game regularly, but I have other interests outside of games (fic writing, reading, Real Life writing, knitting, etc etc etc) -- that’s what he’s trying to figure out now.)

So, after two weeks of compulsive cleaning (like wanting to vacuum at 10 pm), I coaxed him to buy a set of drawing paper and pencils, and he’s been doodling and making scenes of my uni town (where he loved to visit). 

He hasn’t drawn since he was a kid. 

After three weeks of doodling and more compulsive cleaning, he finally took his golf clubs (has golfed once since I met him over 10 years ago) and play a round of golf.  Spawn is asleep for the night, so it’s just me and the cats.  

He’s getting better.  The peace in the house is what I’m enjoying now, rather than the constant barrage of video game explosions whenever Spawn is asleep.

Sunday Six (3/19/23)

They pass a chilled Coca-Cola bottle between them. There's a cotton curtain by the back exit that blows inward. It's meant to keep out the flies, but one gets in anyway. Isak bats the insect away as he speaks, laughing. The table has a too-short leg and it wobbles every time Even slides his elbows on its surface. To reach for Isak's hand, to take it in his.
