Thunder’s new name is Incredible Night Underneath(INU) and Wormcat/The Assistant is! largely the same with some marking changes. It’s still got some noodlefly traits, most prominent being their shape and a tongue that functions as a proboscis for consuming both meat and nectar from flowering plants.

The entire time my brain was cutting back to Talltail and imagining a worm-on-a-string with angry eyes

"Ahh I didn't know you were so offended by being called wormcat" LIKE... If I had a nickel for every time a character's childhood bullying had a lasting psychological impact only for the bully to express surprise that it hurt their victim's feelings I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it's happened twice.

(disclaimer: on my way to tipsy + havent read tallstars revenge in a few years)

i like shrewclaw i think hes a really complex supporting character . like he clearly never meant any real harm toward tallstar (and i suspect that tallstar's angst + selfishness never allowed him to appreciate the playful teasing) he just struggled to show it . they were both struggling. like i dont think someone who hated you would seek you out after you die to grant you magical cat powers or like give you a special nickname (how many times have we seen someone be given a nickname in this series) . like he called him wormcat with his final fucking breaths be so fr do yall think that he would make his last words a petty insult

ik he got cancelled or whatever for being a bully but im ngl guys i think we forget tallstar was in his head too much to understand that his clanmates loved him and perceived everything as an attack on him somewhat .

i like that his son mudclaw is named after him too
