‘why would zuko do that’ he is sixteen years old. ‘i don’t understand zuko’ are you or have you been sixteen years old. ‘zuko just makes bad decisions’ he is sixteen years old. ‘zuko burned down kyoshi island’ he’s literally sixteen years old. ‘zuko kidnapped a twelve year old and dragged him through the snow for hours’ yeah sure but he was sixteen years old. ‘zuko hired an assassin to capture aang, and said assassin went rogue and attempted to kill everyone’ yeah well he’s not good at critical thinking. he’s sixteen years old

Do not accept candy from strangers
Danny made a lot of stupid decisions in his life, several, so many that he couldn't even begin to count them, but according to him that was great when it came to learning from his mistakes.
So, it's no wonder that on his one day off he decided to do everything he was told not to do:
1. Leave Amity
2. Reveal himself to the world
3. Accept things from a stranger
The first 2 were reasonable, considering the situation with the GIW and how 80% of the population did not believe ghosts existed, the last was a warning Jazz made sure to instill in him.
But Danny was dead (more or less), and what harm could it do to eat a candy or two? It's not like he could poison himself.
The answer was a lot of harm; Technically no one offered him the fallen Kryptonite on the ground (he just thought it looked delicious), and both Lex Luthor and Superman weren't paying attention to him during their epic battle or whatever.
So Danny just picked it up and ate it, well, ate several (Lex was throwing them away like a candy trail, the halfa had fun thinking of Hansel and Gretel), Superman looked worried as he heard "Lex's evil plans to surround him with Kryptonite."
But instead of finding a perfect circle surrounding him, he found a teenager, a young white-haired boy who was rolling on the ground and complaining of a stomach ache.
Danny could almost hear Frostbite's voice scolding him for eating candy off the floor, damn it, and some of the candy wasn't even pure! They looked manufactured and stale. Danny glared at Luthor before deciding it wasn't worth it and going back to his task of complaining.

truly beautiful to me that The Magnus Institute’s acronym is TMI. like if any fictional organization deserves that acronym, it’s the Too Much Information one.

Ellie is 14 years old. And while she's, in some ways, mature for her age, she should not be asked to sacrifice herself for the whole world. "She should have been given a choice and we all know she would have been fine with dying if that meant there is a cure." Absolutely not. You do not ask a 14 year old to make a choice like that. Hell, I'd argue that it's not even a choice. The fact that it's adults that would tell her that makes it even more messed up. These cool adults who are out there trying to save people tells you that you are special, that you're the key to save humanity. Of course you're going to listen to them. Especially if you've gone through the things Ellie's been through. If she as an adult wants to make that decision, sure. But not when she's a scared, vulnerable child.
Should Joel have told her that he killed all of them to save her? Probably. Then he could have explained that she's valuable, not because she's possibly the key to a cure. But because she's a human being that has feelings, that deserves to live. And you could argue as much as you want that she's old enough or mature enough to make that choice. But I don't agree. Yes, she seems to be like that, we see her being snarky and tough but the more Joel shows that he cares about her, the more she lets that mask slip. And she acts like a child would act with their parents.
If her only goal was to reach the fireflies so that she could give herself to them to do whatever with her so that they could find a cure. She wouldn't have been so angry/upset that Joel didn't want to take her, why would it matter who took her there? Because Joel cares about her, and having him let her go hurt her. She could have left Joel to die and gone to find Tommy so that he could take her, like Joel asked her to do. But she didn't because she cares about him. The way she clings to Joel when he finds her and he calls her baby girl should tell you that she isn't ready to make a decision on whether she should sacrifice herself or not. SHE IS A CHILD. And Joel allows her to be a child.
I honestly have no problem with him killing them all to save her. "He took the choice from her!" What choice? They didn't give her a choice, they didn't tell her what would happen to her. And do you really think that they would ever give her a choice. If she'd said no, do you actually believe that they would go "Ah, well. Nothing we can do then, off you go with your new dad. Bye!" Don't make me laugh. They would have just done what they did now. Sedate her and begun to harvest her for what they needed. That's not a choice. She NEVER had a choice, Joel didn't take the choice from her because it was never there. It would have been an illusion of choice. She's also traumatised, most recently from her run in with David. And you want her to make a literal life or death choice?? I completely understand why Joel decided to go on a killing spree, he's protecting a vulnerable traumatised CHILD from people who doesn't care about her, who just wants to use her body for spare parts.
It's not about choice or not having a choice, it's about being valued as a person and not having your life taken away from you by vultures.

The Haunting of Masters Manor 6
[Tags/TW: Trans!Danny, implied SA(false), implied grooming(platonic), de-aged Danielle, de-aged Dan, ghost pregnancy, destabilized clones, dead Fentons, ghost Jazz, grieving, platonic yandere(Vlad), passively suicidal thoughts, emotional manipulation, misunderstandings, eavesdropping, OCs for plot reasons, domestic abuse]
Masterpost (here)
Dani was definitely panicking. She had done her best to go back home, to get to her template before it was too late. She hadn’t even realized it was so bad at first, she had been feeling low energy and hadn’t been able to use her powers as well for a while. But it had been fine if she took the ecto-dejecto periodically, Danny had always been more than happy to provide as much as she needed every time she called. But soon enough, the dejecto hadn’t been enough. It worked less well each time, but she had been feeling fine so she had naively taken her time in returning home. This had been a mistake.
“...Haaaah…nnngggh…D-Danny…” Dani whimpered curled in on herself on the cold, dank pavement of some city she didn’t remember the name of.
Dani was in so much pain that she could barely breathe, normally she wouldn’t even need to breathe if she didn’t want to but she was wheezing and struggling as her body screamed for more. She had never been in so much pain before, even when she had melted the first time it had not been this bad. She couldn’t help the tears that fell, she unconsciously tried to rock herself but she just couldn’t move anymore. She even threw up, luminous neon green splattering across the dirty, cracked asphalt.
“Danny…Danny…” Dani sobbed out, so afraid and helpless. She just wanted her template, she wanted the only one that had ever freely and genuinely loved her to come save her.
There was a flash of green just on the other side of her closed eyelids. She whimpered and wanted to open her eyes, terrified that some opportunist had found her. But instead cold frantic hands reached out to her and scooped her up, a familiar and loving presence. Dani managed to open her eyes and sobbed harder as she saw her template’s familiar terrified face. He was talking to her but she couldn’t understand it anymore, she only weakly reached out a small hand to grab the front of his hazmat suit and sob with relief. At least she got to see her family one last time.
“Dani?! Hold on okay! You’ll be fine, you’ll be fine. I’m here.” Danny was frantic as he scooped his clone up from the asphalt.
She was so pale she was turning green, parts of her already beginning to liquify. They had made it in time thanks to Clockwork’s arrangements and warnings. But Dani was suffering and destabilizing. Danny frantically glanced at Wulf who nodded sympathetically and opened another portal for him bringing the three of them directly to the Far Frozen. Frostbite was already prepared and quickly helped to put Dani into stasis until they could figure out what exactly was wrong and how to fix it. The options to fix her were bleak, unfortunately Frostbite did not understand enough about halfa’s to outright reverse the destabilization. Before Vlad the last halfa that had come into existence had already perished nearly centuries before even Frostbite had come to exist.
“I apologize Great One. As it stands there is only one viable way to save her that has a seventy percent chance of success. Everything else is conjecture and has at maximum a ten percent chance of success.” Frostbite explained gently to Danny.
Danny had a hand pressed against the stasis pod that Dani was sleeping in. They had halted the destabilization, but the moment that she was outside of the pod she would resume Fading completely and it shattered Danny’s heart to think of it. Danny turned his head to look at Frostbite, his expression exhausted and distraught.
“What option is the most likely to succeed?” Danny asked, his voice a little rough with how tired he was.
“In order to save her she must retreat into her core and restructure her body from scratch. However she will need a ‘host’ or more accurately a parent to incubate her. More specifically, she will need a halfa to do so. If a ghost takes her core to Incubate her, they will simply absorb her ectoplasm all together and she will Fade. With a halfa to Incubate her she will reform in the image of her parent. She will be a complete halfa and completely stabilized; however this will be a complete rebirth for her and akin to reincarnating rather than a short coma to stabilize the form she currently has.” Frostbite explained gently.
“...Incubation…is-is it anything like a mortal pregnancy?” Danny asked a little hesitantly, a dark pit in his gut.
“Well, traditionally a Ghost Incubation wouldn’t actually be anything like a mortal pregnancy as there is no physical body to be formed for a Neverborn. It is the core itself that is created through either sharing ectoplasm with one or more trusted partners in a chosen Host. Some will reproduce without a partner, but most choose a partner to create a stronger child with broader abilities. However, this particular situation is far more complicated because young Danielle is a halfa and not a full ghost. Her core is not strong enough to exist without the human half to sustain it. But the human body that she had was created without the stability it needed to sustain her ghost half. The two were fighting against each other and caused this destabilization. Unfortunately this means that the body must be reformed from scratch, properly. We do not have the resources or understanding to create an artificial mortal human body and would run the risk of only creating more instability.” Frostbite informed quite seriously.
“So if I can get her a stable human body she would be okay?” Danny asked.
“It can’t be just any body. It must be her body or the core will just reject it entirely.” Frostbite refuted before continuing. “This case is unique and delicate, we can reuse her own ectoplasm and what is left of her current human body to help reform a new human body for her, but she will need a halfa to Incubate her so that her core and body understand what she should be creating. This will somewhat mimic a mortal human pregnancy.”
Danny grimaced at the explanation, there seemed to be very little leeway for him.
“She will not be able to return to her previous age and may experience a loss of memories due to the rebirth, she will be an actual newborn halfa. The birthing process will not work the same way either as she will be phased out of your body along with the amniotic sack once you enter labor so the halfa that chooses to Incubate her will not have to suffer through the mammalian birthing process at least.” Frostbite informed him as well as he could. “If either of you would prefer we can also place you in a medically induced coma.”
It seemed that Frostbite was attempting to ease some of Danny’s fears and discomfort about what would be needed should he decide to save Dani. But Danny only felt a discomforting despair. There were only two halfas currently in existence, Danny and Vlad. There was no way he would be able to convince Vlad to Incubate Dani for him. Danny already knew that, but he still couldn’t help the desperate hope that maybe he could bargain somehow with Vlad.
“Can I think about it?” Danny asked faintly, his voice almost a whisper.
“Take as much time as you need, I will keep your mirrorborn safe.” Frostbite vowed to him.
Danny thanked him without really hearing himself as his mind and heart fell into turmoil. He flew off quickly, racing to Vlad’s portal to go to his place quickly. He did not feel very rational, his emotions were a rollercoaster and he was trapped in a desperate kind of fear. He thought that maybe he could ask Vlad to create a new body for Dani, maybe he could make some kind of deal. It was fairly easy to find Vlad, he was just in his study filling out paperwork of some kind. Danny found himself annoyed by this for some reason.
“Vlad! You-!” Danny had to stop and take a deep breath before he said something foul, he was seeking a favor he couldn’t start with the vitriol he wanted to. “Dani has destabilized again. Can you create a new stable body for her?”
“Can I? Why would I want to?” Vlad replied not even looking up from his papers, his tone dismissive and bland. “She’s always been a failure, just let her Fade like she should have months ago.”
“She’s not a failure! You are! You couldn’t even make her a healthy body and now you’re blaming her?! She’s not the one with absolute trash cloning knowledge!” Danny couldn’t help but to scream at him, the stress and grief of the situation just overwhelmed him. “This is all your fault because you start up these insane experiments with no regard for the damage you leave in your wake!”
“I see you’re quite emotional about this Daniel.” Vlad mused, setting his pen down and finally looking up into Danny’s glowing eyes. “I can create a body for her. If you abandon your father and become my son.”
“You are the worst person on the planet, on every planet. How dare you use her life as a bargaining chip!” Danny snarled the temperature of the room dropping sharply and directly into the negatives.
“You can become my son or let young Danielle Fade away as she should have.” Vlad told him with a smug sort of smirk, his breath a plume of white mist.
“Get bent creepshow.” Danny hissed, tears stinging at his eyes as they flashed an icy neon blue.
Vlad didn’t manage to move fast enough to dodge Danny flash freezing the entire room, including him, completely solid. The room looked like an elemental inverse of the aftermath of Pompeii. Vlad completely frozen in the moment he realized he was going to get hit and everything in the room trapped under a sudden five inch layer of glowing blue ice. Danny turned around and slammed the door shut behind him hard enough to shatter it. Danny would need to save Dani himself then, he could not rely on Vlad for anything remotely trustworthy and he would Fade before he agreed to become Vlad’s son.
“I’ll do it. I’ll Incubate Dani myself.” Danny told Frostbite firmly upon returning to the Far Frozen.

Fluent Freshman - 38
PREV
If it weren’t for the fact that he and Riko had stumbled across a truly traumatizing video of his birth that they had watched secretly in Tetsuji’s office when he was away on a business trip one weekend Kevin would believe that he was born with an Exy racquet in his hand. But the image that is seared into his retinas to this day has proven that he came into this world empty handed.
That doesn’t change the fact that Kevin has spent the majority of his life utterly and completely submersed in Exy. He was trained as a Raven, he was court, he was a champion as both a Raven as a Fox and if he had his way he’d leave college with more Championships under the orange and white than the black and red.
Exy was everything in the world to him.
He could overlook many personality defects if someone brought something to the Court.
Apathetic five foot nothing who was more likely to stab him than shake his hand? Well, he’s the best goalie that Kevin had ever seen in his entire life (and that was saying something).
Tight ass who has anger management issues and will not shut the fuck up about his girlfriend now that he’s not even allowed to have? Well, he is a very solid backliner who has excellent ball handling skills (even if Aaron keeps telling him to stop saying it like that or why he keeps yelling that he’s straight).
Overly touchy, too emotional, will not shut the fuck up about his fiancé in Germany? Well, he is a very solid backliner who is great at rebounds (Kevin doesn’t get why Nicky gets mad when he says that or why he brings up Erik).
Guy who actively dislikes him and is dying for any chance to punch him and also being overly attached to his friends? He’s a great enforcer on the court and had the stamina to play far longer than the other two backliners (Why Dan always said “yeah he does” whenever Kevin commented on Matt’s stamina he will never understand, and he also doesn’t want to.)
Suspicious kid from Millport with a mouth that could strip paint and a past so shrouded in mystery that it even had Andrew perking up in interest? Well, he’s the fastest Striker in the game and the only person that has ever kept up with Kevin’s obsession with the sport. (There was the minor downside that he was the son of the Butcher and almost died before the championships, but Neil pulled through.)
He tolerated all of them and now they’re his best friends.
There are some who he does find personally objectionable but so long as Jack and Sheena manage to continue to be good on the court he doesn’t care about the many many faults in their personalities. They’re his teammates, they aren’t his friends.
He accepted that he might not like any of the others that came onto the team. For the most part he had never given a shit about before the Foxes, content with his brotherhood with Riko even if it wasn’t…perfect. Then he became friends with FF and FF had done him a truly large favor and Kevin wanted to pay that back the best way he knew how. Through his truly infallible health advice and through perfectly crafted smoothies.
Then Daniel appeared with the truth that FF truly met all requirements to be a Fox and Kevin tasted his own smoothie for the first time.
He considered both revelations to be equally upsetting.
Still…
FF was one of the best dealers Kevin had ever had the pleasure to be on Court with. The man knew his position well and interrupted offensives with an enviable ease that made Kevin wish to possibly strap some sort of device onto him and figure out how he did certain things.
It wasn’t that far off to believe that a man raised in the same environment as FF could possibly have similar talents and since Lisa fucked off back to some small town cult they really did need a good sub. Sheena was a good offensive dealer but they had games coming up where defense would be imperative and FF did not have the stamina for a full game and likely would not for quite some time considering he’d be recovering from being stabbed.
So, he’d defended Daniel’s right to try out.
At first, he had felt vindicated. Daniel kept up quite well during the initial warm-ups. Kept pace with Jack, Sheena, Aaron, Andrew, and Nicky. Kevin had been bringing up the rear mostly to make sure that Andrew didn’t stab the guy during warm-ups.
Then it was time for the first precision drill.
The other thing about how Kevin was raised is that he was raised surrounded only by the best of the best. The Ravens were at the top of the Collegiate hierarchy. The National Court used their stadium for practice.
The worst Exy that Kevin had ever seen in his entire life up until the moment that Daniel took hold of an Exy racquet was still only the worst team in Collegiate Division 1 Exy.
Then Kevin watched the ball go so wide that the entire court went silent.
All of the drills that followed were as bad, if not worse.
Kevin felt himself start to vibrate with anger the longer it went on. He started to shout corrections at Daniel but the younger man merely rolled his eyes, “I think I know what I’m doing.” He would say before pointedly proving that he did not.
Kevin only realized nearly an hour in that he had wasted his entire practice shouting himself hoarse at the actual waste of human life that was Daniel Stanton.
Kevin could accept being bad at Exy and having an inoffensive personality. Kevin could accept being good at Exy and having a bad personality.
Kevin could not accept being bad at Exy and having a bad personality.
Coach Wymack called the practice to an end and Kevin thought that he’d manage to keep his anger mostly inside (he is ignoring the near hour of practice he spent screaming directions) when Daniel decided to deliver the Coup de Grace.
Sweat soaking his bangs, panting, and without a single thing done correctly (even the way he was currently holding his borrowed Exy racquet set Kevin’s teeth on edge) the man had the gall, the gumption, and the absolute AUDACITY to come up to the coach.
“So, where do I sign?” he asks.
Kevin sees red and unleashes hell.
***
This was the most fun Andrew has had at a practice since he started having to come to them.
The look of embarrassment on Daniel’s face as Kevin accurately tore into everything he did wrong on the Court and every personal failing that Kevin could home in on. His attention shifted away to FF sitting in the stands near the University official who was shaking her head at the obvious poor showing. The University may have wanted Daniel around to spruce up the Fox’s marketability but even they couldn’t let someone so obviously awful onto one of their few Division 1 teams.
FF was sat sipping one of Kevin’s god awful smoothies looking completely unshocked by Daniel’s showing.
Kevin turned his attention to FF, “You said he was good!” Kevin points at the freshman as he continues to sip the drink.
Andrew interrupts, “He never said he was good.” He remembers the conversation so exactly and there are few things he loves more than having the opportunity to rub it in Kevin’s face when the man is wrong, “He said ‘Daniel has always been athletic’ never anything about him being good.” Andrew reminds.
Kevin whips back around to Daniel, “Have you ever even played Exy?” Kevin demands.
“I didn’t think it’d be hard to pick up.” Daniel argues crossing his arms defensively.
It sets Kevin off on another furious rant.
Andrew had thought that FF didn’t have a mean bone in his body and he’s quite pleased to have been proven wrong. The thought that FF had let Daniel get all the way into embarrassing himself in such a way?
Andrew had to give him props.
“How does it feel getting to watch this idiot crash and burn?” he asks coming to the glass.
“Really thought he could manage it if I could.” FF says with a shrug that has Aaron bark out a laugh.
“You really figured?” Aaron asks coming to stand next to Andrew.
FF just shrugs again, “I mean I also started not knowing how to play and now I’m on a pretty good team.” He says as if FF starting as a child not knowing how to play is the same as someone walking in demanding a spot on a college team.
Nicky lets out a laugh.
“Oh, Smithy I could kiss you.” Nicky laughs and makes his way towards the Court entrance to likely do exactly that moving past a Daniel who was so red in the face with embarrassment and anger that he looked as if he was about to turn purple.
Andrew tuned in.
“…small pond. The only reason you ever felt like you were worth anything is that Smiths was too nice to put you in your place before now!” Kevin was probably talking about medium-sized fish in a small pond but Andrew didn’t really care to know.
“Are you going to let him talk to me like this?!” Daniel finally turned to Wymack.
“Kevin, you shouldn’t talk to the public like that.” Wymack says without a hint of chastisement in his voice.
Kevin still straightened at the reminder, “You’re right. Sorry coach.” Kevin sneered at Daniel, “Get off the court before you taint it.” He hisses.
“You’re really not going to sign me?!” Daniel demands.
“Why would I?” Wymack asks with a raised brow.
“You took a chance on John!” Daniel points towards FF.
Andrew watches as Wymack’s face does something he’d rarely seen it do, it goes utterly and completely cold. “I don’t take chances with my kids.” He spat, “I give my kids a second chance. Get the hell off of my court.” He hisses.
Daniel’s face purples further before he stomped off of the Court.
“Don’t you dare walk off with that racquet! It’s worth more than you!” Kevin shouts after him and Andrew in that moment realizes that Daniel is going to do something stupid.
And FF is on the other side of the Plexiglass with only Nicky at his side.
It’s like watching a train crash.
Daniel might say something, but Andrew doesn’t know. He sees Neil rushing as well, his sense of danger always well-honed but Neil had been in Captain mode in the moments before walking some of the sophomore and freshmen through what they had done wrong.
Neither of them will make it in time.
Daniel throws his racquet, and he throws it right at FF barely 5 feet away in the stands.
The Racquet blows past FF’s head and Andrew lets out a breath.
Then before it could crash into the seats behind him and break FF’s hand wrapped around the shaft of the stick and stopped it’s trajectory.
“Your aim really isn’t getting any better by not listening to Kevin’s advice.” Smith says as he twirls the racquet in his hand so that the net was on the ground. “Also, don’t break the equipment, like Kevin said it’s pretty expensive.” He says.
Daniel let out a primal scream but where Andrew had stalled out to watch the miraculous catch Matt Boyd had not. Daniel was tackled to the ground by the backliner, “Absolutely not.” Matt said with a scowl.
“Smithy are you okay?” Andrew hears Nicky ask.
“Yeah, why?” FF asks as if he hadn’t just been attacked but considering everything that Andrew had seen it wouldn’t shock him if Daniel’s attacks were just par for the course back home for FF. “The racquet looks okay too.” He adds.
“Coach Wymack,” The University representative made their way down looking flustered at the outburst of violence.
Obviously not someone who regularly watched Exy or paid attention to their team.
“This is why I wanted absolute control over who does and who doesn’t get a shot here.” Wymack hisses pointing at Daniel as he struggled under Matt.
“You have our sincere apologies for this.” She says looking at Daniel, “He didn’t… we thought he’d be good for the team’s culture but it seems like we may have misjudged-“
“That guy just tried to take Smithy out!” Nicky interrupts.
“I told you he was dangerous.” Neil adds.
“Can someone call campus security?” Matt asks from the ground, “This jackass keeps aiming for kidney punches and I would like to not be pissing blood during winter break.” Matt requests.
“O-of course!” the University representative says fumbling for her cell phone.
Andrew looked at Matt and figured that the backliner had a handle on that particular mess at the moment.
He made his way over to FF and Nicky who was checking over the freshman.
“Nice catch.” He says.
FF shrugs, “It’s my racquet he was borrowing.” He says, “I didn’t want to get a new one.” He adds.
***
FF watches as campus security took custody of Daniel as he continued to spit and scream. There are talks about pressing charges, but FF just wants Daniel off of the campus and away from him. It’s Jack of all people who says that getting a restraining order is a great way to make sure Daniel stays the hell away from him and FF nods consideringly.
Honestly, he’s still mostly in shock he managed to catch his racquet the way he had. His reflexes weren’t quite up to snuff since he’d been trying to catch the netting, but his hand only closed around the shaft.
Embarrassing.
He really hopes no one teases him about his slower reflexes.
“He needs to be charged for assault at least.” Kevin hisses as they watch the security officers take Daniel away.
“It’d be attempted assault.” Aaron corrects.
“He assaulted my eyes with his Exy.” Kevin insists.
“If that counted as assault, don’t you think I would have pressed charges for all the times I have had to see you dance at Eden’s?” Neil asks. “Also, you’re the one that insisted he try-out.” He reminds.
“Smiths told me he was good!” Kevin screeches.
“No, we’ve been over this Day. Smithy said he was athletic.” Nicky reminds. “Are you going to do what Jack suggested?” he asks turning to FF.
“I’d like to see significantly less of Daniel.” FF admits.
“You know he did actually commit assault, if I pee blood I’m making Kevin go buy me pads.” Matt says.
“Whatever.” Kevin says as they continued to make their way back to the dorm to get ready for the day.

Ghost forms
I have this theory that a ghost's form (before they can change it) after they die depends on how they saw themselves before they died and halfa's are stuck with that form until after they die a second time. (Halfa clones were never truly alive so they take the form of their parent until they destabilize/melt)
Going with this theory, Vlad saw himself as a monster (at least physically) and the two biggest monsters he associated with himself were demons (his hair) and vampires (everything else). Dani never got a chance to live or die, so she took as much of Danny's form as she could. Danny saw himself as the reverse of who he wanted to be (hence the color swap).
Where am I going with this? Well a lot of people love halfa Jason (and halfa other dc characters to a lesser extent.) Instead of color swapping Jason, what if his ghost form was just him as Bruce's son? The same kid that Batman found trying to steal the batmobile's tires. The kid that loved going to school and thought being Robin gave him magic. Not a color swapped Robin or even being the age he died at, but an 11 or 12 year old ghost of Jason Todd.

So this is a comic I’ve wanted to do for a long time because it hits fairly close to home for me, but especially because I think this is foundational to Phoenix and Edgeworth’s relationship: trust. Throughout the games we see that they push and pull one another to get to the bottom of a situation, to discover the truth and do what’s right, even when it’s difficult. While obviously not canon, to me their relationship is so emblematic of kink it’s nearly unavoidable in my depictions of them--Edgeworth may always seem to be the ultimate string pulling master with a thousand tricks up his sleeve, but none of this could happen if he did not totally relinquish control via his unwavering trust in Phoenix.

An Ill-Fated Afterparty: Part II
Previous / Next
Lilith: Goodness, I feel so exposed now.
Helena: Oh, don't play shy all of a sudden.
Lilith: It'd help if we got you out of that dress. Now... where did we leave off?
Helena: Oh, we're going straight for the neck. You're really committed to this vampire shtick, huh? And I'm weirdly kind of... into it? [laughs nervously] Lilith, I think that's enough. You might actually be drawing blood. [attempts to pull away] Give it a rest now, okay? I said stop, Lilith! LILITH, STOP! Lilith?...
Lilith: Helena? Wake up, Helena! Shit! Fuck! No, no, no! Not now! Not yet! Oh, god, what have I done? CALEB!!!

I cannot stress enough how MINOR of a petpeeve this is and how this is an interpretation that i'm comfortable with other people having even if i personally do not but I've noticed in a lot of 3zun fics, if jgy is holding smth back- generally his own feelings because his natural reaction to conflict is to make it Go Away and so if his emotional needs are the potential source conflict he will simply Not Look At Them.- That between nielan Xichen is the one who's worried and presses for comunication and Mingjue is like "Meng Yao is an adult if there was a problem he'd say so."
And I get why this is done, because nieyao's communication is generally atrocious and Xichen is the Gentle One who'd want to make sure a-yao is okay. So I get it. But. Canonically. The person going "I know a-yao, we trust each other, I don't need to ask him, he'll tell me on his own terms." is Lan Xichen and the one going "If Meng Yao doesn't want me to know something he WILL hide it from me and i'll have no idea because he's just that good at lying" is Nie Mingjue. And in a healthier nieyao dynamic, as these fics work under, that knowledge would not lead to automatic distrust but rather a desire to check in, to go: please remember that I value your honesty more than whatever you think you would burden me with by telling me what's going on.
Xichen also wants honesty and open communication ofc but his reaction to conflict is also to make it go away as fast as possible and he feels like saying it constantly feels accusatory so he wouldn't. If he asks if something is ok and a-yao smiles and goes of course er-ge checking again if it's really okay would be implying he was lying the first time!! He's showing his trust in him!! This is really refreshing if you're constantly assumed to be untrustworthy and meng yao appreciates it so much and it works really well 95% of the time but when it doesn't? Oh boy.

You know what pisses me off about this all PheeJin stuff. It's taken over.
No matter what happens having TaCopper be such a huge part of the anticipation, them being promoted so heavily as a ship with this series was a mistake.
About 50% of all the comments under the BTS videos and reddit posts are about PheeJin.
Either that they love the ship, or the actors, or they are mad the writers "ruined" Jin by confirming he was the one that leaked the video.
Side note: Everyone seems to be pretty much treating the confession as confirmation. So do I. It would be a stupid as fuck writing decision to have Jin be not the person that realeased the video and confess to it anyway.
Instead of focusing on the show's themes like this excellent post outlines by @syrena-del-mar or even the topics of sex and voyerism like this post by @shannankle or another post I can't find discussing the way the show subverts the tipical way sex is punished in horror. EDIT: @shannankle found the post and linked it in the notes it was from @brifrischu with addition from @lurkingshan. Or even just enjoying the theorizing like this post by @mikuni14 or this one by @tbhimnoteasyonmyself. Most of the fans (again other places I am not looking at the tag here on tumblr) are mostly discussing Jin, PheeJin and whining that Tan is a killer and lost his mind.
Also not saying anything about the Jin fans on Tumblr I am not going in the tag for a reasons. But a lot of PheeJin shippers and Jin fans on other sites are using words I fucking hate to describing New and it's starting to low-key piss me off. All the: he lost his mind, he is derenged (i also saw lost his mind like his brother - which you know ew) it's getting on my last nerve and I would appriciate if we could be a little lighter with that kind of language please.
It sucks that such a great show now wrote itself into this conrner where it only has two options: Stick to the genre and revenge plot, have team masked killer win (and kill Jin and Phee if he is indeed a traitor); everyone is dead, depressing ending no one is happy; or Phee and Jin succed in bringing down "crazy" killer New, we get some nice violence is not the answear after school message and Phee and Jin live happly ever after.
The first two will make the fans crazy, and we know the BOC shipper fans are on all other level of insane. And the third will leave the rest of us with a show that detroyed his own message for the sake of a ship, AGAIN (might I add, ofts fans will know the struggle). Leaving the show bad reviews and claim outrage because TaCopper wasn't endgame and they got ruined.
And let me very clear, If I have too see the well-off/rich character all alive while the poor characters all die and get called crazy because they dared take revenge and be angry at their mistreatment. I will actually consider this the worse BL ending ever. That will piss me off more then the Last Twilight ending ever did.

lancer hot take GO
1. CRIMINALLY underrated as a key player in the narrative. so often in fan content, he’s relegated to comic relief when in reality his character arc is the fucking CO-FOCAL POINT of ch1 (alongside susie’s)
but where susie learns that opposition isn’t always the answer, and it can lead to her hurting people she loves, lancer learns that the authority figure in his life isn’t omnipotent and perfect and he can stand up for what he knows is just. he can question the adult in his life he can BE HIS OWN PERSON and he doesn’t have to feel like he’s not good enough. fuck. not personal or anything prommy (lying)
2. i think he should be allowed to KILL. queen will livestream it. shit would be funny as fuck
