The Rookidee is CERTAINLY Junie... so who's the Mareep? At first I thought that maybe that was a beta version of Samir... but Samir isn't a human... so then... who's that Mareep???? Another future friend of Team Scarlet perhaps?????

AND THAT'S NOT EVEN GETTING INTO ALL OF THE LITTLE BACKSTORY THINGS TEASED IN THERE. LIKE LITTLE VAL AND TEENAGE MAGGIE AND AUGUST. HOLY CRAP I AM SO EXCITED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THOSE.

Hahaha!!! Well, thank you! ^^ The Mother animatic didn’t get much traction but I’m pretty happy with how it came out, so I’m thrilled to hear you (and others) enjoy it and think it’s an improvement over my older work!

As for the mareep—you’re right, actually!!! :D That is beta Samir! Originally, they were a former human turned mareep. A lot changed between then and the actual writing of the Asra arc, though!

We should be touching on some of the Val and Maggie/August backstory in upcoming chapters, too. 👀 At least briefly!

K-POP BIAS CHALLENGE: JAN 2023

(PART 2 OF 2 BECAUSE I'M RIDICULOUS)

Again, I should start by saying that this is a two-parter because I'm a doofy Pan that can get attached to members of groups even if I just casually listen to them (Seriously, though - K-Pop is a wonderland for Pans because there are just SO many incredible personalities out there, UGH).

I made all the gifs below to show you the exact moment I knew they were for me. Enjoy!

Yunjin (Le Sserafim) Solar (Mamamoo)

Starting with my newest bias on the list - Miss Yunjin of the extremely talented new-ish group Le Sserafim.

She was in America for most of her life, and that has given her a large distinction - She's just as talented as her groupmates and syncs perfectly when it comes to dancing and singing, but it's obvious that she's completely unfazed by things that culture shock the others, and has made it her personal mission to challenge a lot of issues in the industry.

A prime example would be this solo music video that just came out a few days ago, which she also did the art for, about the fucked up things about pop fandoms:

I was taken aback by this and have been sharing it like crazy since.

Other than pushing boundaries, a special talent she has is professional opera singing, which is pretty unique in the industry.

I was undecided on a bias until I saw the Studio Choom performance of "Antifragile" shown above, withher just lighting up the whole video with all of her facial expressions and the dopest denim outfit, haha. There's a lot of "good trouble" in those eyes.

And now, the smollest (but eldest) member of Mamamoo - Solar!

For quite awhile, Hwasa was my bias in Mamamoo after a very short, initial trial with Wheein. :P

This was another one of those "switch flip" moments where I was suddenly like "Shit. Solar has been here THE WHOLE TIME. What was I thinking!?"

She is so good with her super-powerful voice, no matter the genre. In a group like Mamamoo (that are basically the best vocalists in the entire genre), standing out as the best is a hard thing to do. But, here she is, doing just that for me.

Her solo tracks are what started sparking me over to her side, but the clip from the above video is what came in like a wreckin' ball - When she spent a bunch of time learning the choreography for a song in a body-tracking arcade game called "Dance Evolution," even while being (playfully) dissed by her members, and then went into an arcade and just owned that shit. And look how happy she was to accomplish it!

Won me over, right at that moment.

Here's another example of her playful personality - A clip of her recording part of a Jazzy song about how much she wishes she had a big ass (because big asses are awesome):

Taeyong (NCT-127) Taeyong (SuperM)

This shit cracks me up so bad.

While making a list of known biases for this post, and not a second before, I came to the realization that my (casual) biases for both of the groups mentioned above... is the same dude. Hahaha. Wow.

I know practically nothing about these groups except that SuperM was a combined group of other groups' idols (a lot like GOT the Beat is), and that their "Super One" album is nothing but bangers, but that's about it. And I've also picked up several NCT jams over the years.

Never did I expect that the guy that caught my eye in both groups was the same person, though. It's hilarious, and it makes a lot of sense. This is Taeyong, y'all.

Jesus, the swag on this guy. Look at him prance-glide sideways in that first clip. Look at him growling in that second one, which I definitely understand is a weakness of mine now.

Talented dude. Attractive as hell. That's all I know, but that's all I -have- to know right now, yeah?

Rima (NiziU) Kyujin (NMIXX)

Okay, okay, I get it. This is a K-Pop bias list and NiziU is a J-Pop group. I understand that, but I'm also a hapless JYP fangirl and I just had to include them on the list because Rima is a bias to talk about regardless.

Am I about to say "swag" again? Sadly, yes. She's one of the rappers in the group and definitely has the highest swag level. This is somehow evened out by how adorable she is at the same time.

We've established that I gravitate towards rappers, but she's got it in her lineage - She is the daughter of the super-famous Japanese rapper Zeebra. That bit of story made her interesting from the get-go and I've dug her ever since.

It was the rap break from "Chopstick" pictured above that sparked everything for me for sure, though.

I'd like to include the video because it's super catchy and because I want to see if you find her sticking out throughout the video like I did:

Next up? Yup, another rapper. It's Kyujin, who is also (surprisingly) the maknae of JYP's most recent group of ladies: NMIXX.

Her English, while adorably misplaced sometimes, is so confident and wonderful. Her singing is so pretty and her flows are so fresh. Don't worry, I Won't say "swaggy" this time. She has, I think, the most vibrant and unique personality of the whole group, and that's from a group that aimed to be quirky right out the gate.

She's incredibly talented, and only trained for about three years before recording the first songs for the group.

I'd like to showcase one of her pre-debut, live vocal videos where she was originally qualifying to be a part of the group. She's too rad:

Seulgi (Red Velvet) Sieun (STAYC)

I first saw Red Velvet's music video for "Ice Cream Cake" in my earlier K-Pop adventures, but I'll never forget how much Seulgi stuck out to me.

She hit me with a combo attack - The radar-jamming, hard-to-read, slightly... angry(?) eyes, her polar opposite of a sweet voice, the bright colors she was wearing in the video, and the fact that she kicks off the whole song as the center. Yup, hooked right from the start.

And did you see her and Irene in their sinister lil' duo track "Monster?" Geezus:

Seulgi was an easy choice. Except a flicker of nanosecond time when it was Joy. But that was just a flicker. HOLD!

Holy shit, it's Park Sieun. Sieun (not Seeun, who is in the same group... yeah) is from STAYC. STAYC, I hear, is a real, reeeeal hard group to pick favorites from, much like Itzy - They're all immeasurably talented on equal levels.

Sieun's got the edge for me, though. She debuted as an actor originally, and that comes into play with the subtle emotions and fades in her singing. The performative lines and precise, but soft details in her movements. Her effortlessly natural facial expressions. She's absolutely flowing with personality and that all wraps into an ethereal combination of visuals to go along with her honestly angelic voice.

Positively dangerous. Troublesome, but not in a "good trouble" way. In a mischievous way.

And, oh my goodness, her (again, effortless) high notes:

Felix (Stray Kids) Jooyeon (Xdinary Heroes)

Would you just peek at Felix. Lookin' like a mix between Link from Legend of Zelda and Alucard from Hellsing or some shit.

He hails from Stray Kids, which I consider to be the most talented group of dudes in K-Pop right now (Sorry, BTS stans, I know, I know - Remember, I'm all about that swaggy rap stuff, and BTS isn't that as much anymore).

Felix is one of the Australians in the group, so he's got that accent, which is always bizarre in juxtaposition when around his members. He can move like a basilisk. His voice goes hella deep and toasty. And, my god, he's got freckles.

Aside from all the seemingly thristy statements that just tumbled out of my keyboard, he just seems to be a genuine good guy that would sit down with you and hear you out, heart-to-heart for hours if you needed him too. A "do anything to make your life better" type of friend. The duality is incredible.

Another casual bias - Hey, it's Jooyeon from JYP's rock group Xdinary Heroes. Don't make me pronounce that out loud, let's just focus on Jooyeon, damn it.

He's got such a pretty, haunting singing voice in the beginning, then you can listen to him hit American-Emo-band overdrive on his vocals at about 45 seconds into this video and during the chorus, and then you can hear yet another style tone at around 1:38. Versatile and awesome:

I really dig his looks and that shadowy / shady / emotionless thing he's got going on.

Oh, and, uh, he plays bass too, huh? Yeah, I suppose so. Haha.

Finally, trip made it out of the GC. Went to Siquijor with my long, love college friends. Super ganda ng place, huhu!

First day, adventure agad! Hahahahha ang saya ng naging experience. Kasi napunta kami sa kakilala ni PJ. Basta ang ganap don, for some reason wala kami bigla mapag stayan kasi yung place na dapat pupuntahan namin, Tagbalayon biglang walang kuryente hahahah rotating kasi ata (di ko na maalala ano nangyari non lol) tapos may fiesta don sa area ng kakilala ng parents ng friend kong si PJ, ang plan is makikain lang, yung ang bilin samin - na mag drop and mag visit don dahil nasabihan na rin ang owner nga na dadating kami, ang ending, dun na kami nag stay overnight. Sobrang shocking ng place!!!! 👻 (ems!)

Kasi, rich rich!!!! as in!!! pag pasok pa lang ng house yung mga vintage displays pa lang parang mas mahal sa life naming lahat hahaha then we found out na ex judge pala yung owner! Grabe. Shocked. To. The. Highest. Level. I don't know kung alam din ba ni PJ yun huhuhu kasi nirefer lang ng dad ni PJ, common friend ata nila basta ganun, lahat kami nagulat kasi yung mga bisita don ng owner ng house ay smells "OLD MONEY VIBES!" I swear. Dzai, eenglish only lang silang lahat don plus basta yung mga sasakyan na naka parada sa labas parang sa mga movies/series hahahaha! Yung mga seniors na tipong naka polo shirt na amoy golf yung hobby :((( tapos kasama mga trophy wives nila hahahahahah what an experience! Imagine yung house nila may guest rooms na parang hotel. Saktong sakto samin eh! Hahahahaha ewan kung plinano ba yun ng universe or naunder spell kami ni Siquijor. Char! We're very grateful!!! Ambait bait ng owner! Humble and very hospitable. Plus super sarap ng food nila huhu

Ang saya saya saya ng buong tour at ng stay namin! Weather is nice! Plus super duper food trip!!!! Basta kasama tong mga to, wala na kaming ginawa kundi kumain ng kumain. Hahahaha

Ang ganda ganda ng place. Will visit again here! I hope mas mura na mga foods lol kasi kami lang ata pinoy tourist don nung time na yan haha that's why foreigner level ang price ng food. Super ganda talaga and memorable. Ang saya mag travel with friends kasi dami dami nadidiscover sa isa't isa!! Maliit lang yung place, di crowded, ang ganda ng beaches, super nice ng locals. Babalik ako soon, pero di pa siguro agad, pero ang mahehelp ko is to brag it out to other people and convince them to visit this place!!!

Sobrang ganda, meron sa loob ko na gusto ko sya igatekeep and at the same time gusto ko din mag boom yung island/place nila. Ang ganda ganda kasi hindi pa gaano matao, medyo mahirap puntahan kasi malayo pero okay lang sobrang WORTH IT!

My heart is happy kasi nakapag bakasyon kami with friends. Afford na namin! Wow 😭 dati, hati hati pa kami sa benteng pamasahe makapunta lang kina Jolen at mag tambay sa house niya. Ngayon nakakapag out of town na. Thank you, universe!

“Wan–ah, don’t be ridiculous.” Joohyun calls back as Seungwan’s hand reaches for the door, patting the mattress beside her in that totally–not–demanding–but–demanding voice of hers. “I know you’ve been having nightmares. Sleep with me tonight.”

Seungwan freezes, then dips her gaze. Damn, the duvet on Joohyun’s side suddenly looks ten times fluffier than hers. It… can’t hurt, right? Just one night. After a visible deliberation, Seungwan edges her way over and gingerly settles down, lifting the duvet and artlessly snuggling under it with a nervous chuckle. Gosh, it’s even warmer than she’d expected. Or… wait, is that just her own body heat from how fast her heart is going? She has no idea. And it’s not like she can think of much other than the whiffs of that crisp fabric conditioner Joohyun loves to use. 

“Night, Wannie. Sweet dreams. I hope you—”

“G’night unnie,” Seungwan accidentally interjects Joohyun while she’s bidding her goodnight. She half expects an eye-roll for that awkward timing but Joohyun simply huffs fondly and turns to face away from her.

Wow, good job. No, seriously. Way to go, Seungwan. Jesus.

The older is out like a light, leaving the other sweating in the dark with a racing heart and an embarrassingly explicit reel of thoughts.

It’s fine, it’s not like she’ll know, right? I’ll just stay up, Seungwan thinks, pulling the duvet up under her chin. For a good two minutes, all she can hear is the sound of the soft snoring next to her. She focuses on her own mechanical breathing, staring up into the darkness. 

The gentle draft from the ceiling fan is drying her eyes out. That’s fine, though. Because she has no intention of sleeping.

As much as Seungwan is determined, so is the fatigue. And it isn’t long before she’s drifting off into the first proper sleep she’s had in forever. Thank god they established the mandatory ten inches of space between them before Joohyun knocked out. There’s no way Seungwan’s crossing that boundary anytime soon; invisible as it may be, and as loudly as Joohyun may have laughed at her when she suggested it.

What was it Joohyun called her? A weirdo? Whatever, she isn’t about to take any chances. Especially not when she’s almost four hundred percent sure Joohyun doesn’t know about the… little crush she’s harbouring.

A little later on into the night Seungwan feels a distant tapping on her shoulder, and then she’s opening her eyes to a gentle smile nudging her awake. It’s only her side profile, but Joohyun’s beauty is dazzling, even through the filter of the night. Seungwan unconsciously licks her lips. 

“Wan–ah, it’s nice but—” the older woman pauses for a soft yawn, “bit looser please… hard to breathe.”

Once Seungwan shakes herself awake enough to make sense of what she’s hearing, she barely manages to keep from having a heart attack right there and then. She is— to her absolute horror— curled right into Joohyun’s back, practically nuzzling into the nape of her neck with her arms wrapped (breath–takingly snugly, apparently) around her waist, like a little puppy snuggled up to the warmth of its mother.

“Oh!” she yelps, reeling back in shock and doing her best to let Joohyun know she’s repulsed at herself, not her. 

I— I thought you were my bolster, unnie?! She wants to scream.

Too bad she’s so preoccupied in berating herself to notice the look on Joohyun’s face. The one that screams she anything but minded. Seungwan tries to detach herself from Joohyun’s back, but to her surprise, Joohyun stops her with a firm— “It’s okay. Stay.”— and an arm on top of hers, holding it there. 

Guess they’re spooning tonight.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

They’re kissing. Joohyun’s kissing her. Electrified dewdrops on grass blades catch between Seungwan’s prying fingertips, cool and wet. One by one, they’re absentmindedly plucked out of the soil when Joohyun connects their smiles in the humid summer air, murakami flowers embroidering their hearts together. 

The scent of vanilla–mint shampoo is cloying her nose. She’s tasting her, fingers are tangling in her hair, tilting her back slightly… 

“J–Joohyun unnie…” 

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

“W—Wannie?”

A perfect voice cuts through her dream, a hand on her shoulder already gingerly rousing her from her sleep.

Again.

“Wan—ah… you said my name.” And of course, Joohyun’s groggy voice sounds good enough to kiss, damn it. “Are you having a bad dream?”

“Mm… sorry unnie, sorry…” Seungwan mumbles softly, rolling onto her back with a huff and palming her eyes, trying to adjust to reality. 

Joohyun shimmies closer. Her vision is fuzzy, but she can still see Seungwan. Gosh, she thinks, giving her a once over, that dream must’ve been horrible. The poor thing is sweating. 

If only Joohyun knew the truth, the warmth in Seungwan’s cheeks might’ve been raised several degrees… alongside the warmth below her waistband. 

Suddenly the room is far, far too hot. Suddenly, Seungwan wishes she wasn’t trapped under Joohyun’s incredibly comfortable duvet with the most attractive woman on the planet. She tries to stretch her legs, tries to create a small air pocket to let some of that suffocating heat escape, but it does little to cool anything down. Ironically, it garners more of Joohyun’s attention, feeling the other girl shift so uncomfortably like that. After a couple of tense, silent moments, Seungwan’s tolerance snaps and she moves to get up. But Joohyun catches this instinctively and snakes an arm around her waist, tugging her down, stopping her from leaving again.

Seungwan seems adamant this time, though. “Unnie… I should go back to my room—”

Joohyun isn’t listening, choosing instead to press her with a question of her own. “Aren’t you going to tell me what you were dreaming about?” 

Whatever, Seungwan thinks, just give her the sparknotes version. There’s no need for her to know everything.

“We…” she admits slowly, “… we were in the grassy patch under the tree… you— you know, where we usually…?”

She pauses to make sure Joohyun is following. Sure enough, that patient nod gives her the answer she needs to nervously clear her throat.

“And it was raining but it stopped, and then… and then. Ahh, I don’t know. I think I need to cool off, unnie, I need to pee anyway,” Seungwan lies. She barely manages to pull the covers off her and push her hands into the mattress before Joohyun is gently holding her down to it, hovering over her in a way that has her airways clogged and her heartbeat an irregular mess.

“You’re sweating,” Joohyun points out the one thing Seungwan’s trying to hide. “You’re overheated. Are you feeling alright?”

Seungwan wants to say yes. So, so badly. But she shakes her head. It’s not a definitive shake, but it’s one vague enough that Joohyun remains inquisitive. Seungwan curses herself for being so honest. Why couldn’t she just push her out of the way? And did she have to agree to sleeping with her tonight? Why couldn’t she just have said it was a nightmare?

Why can she never lie to Joohyun? Even if it’s to preserve her own dignity?

“I’m going to the bathroom. I really have to pee.” Seungwan insists, and Joohyun is all but convinced. She looks down at the girl under her with such gentleness. And then she leans over, supporting herself on one elbow beside Seungwan’s head while she brings her other hand up to caress her cheek.

There’s a tiny gasp from the girl at the sudden (but not entirely unwelcome) closeness. “... unnie… you— you’re too close.”

Joohyun gracefully ignores her, moving her fingers from Seungwan’s face to trace the loose neckline of her t-shirt, showing her exactly what she means. “I think you want me closer, don’t you, Wannie?”

“You’re blushing all over. Look, here…” Joohyun starts with a cold finger on Seungwan’s lower abdomen, sending a heated chill up her spine. She sucks in a sharp breath when Joohyun folds the hem of her sleep shirt up, exposing the flushed skin on her stomach. “... and here, too…”

“U-Unnie… please…” 

But her unnie’s hand wanders wherever it pleases, ignorant to Seungwan’s helpless pleas. It strays further and further south and the younger girl isn’t even aware of what’s going on until there are fingers teasing at the waistband of her shorts. 

“Seungwan?” 

— who has been subconsciously licking her lips, stops as soon as she realises Joohyun’s eyes have been following the movements of her tongue the entire time. 

“Seungwan,” Joohyun repeats, resting a hand on her thigh, “what happened next, in your dream…”

Ah, what’s the worst that could happen? Seungwan tells Joohyun the truth and spontaneously combusts. That, or they never speak or look each other in the eyes ever again. Joohyun’s already gotten this far, Seungwan thinks she has nothing else to lose.

Her voice is hardly louder than a whisper. “We… kissed. You— you kissed me.”

She isn’t sure if the older woman is actually paying attention to the highlight of her dream anymore, because the feathery touch that had been resting on her hip bone is now skimming down, seeking the heat emanating from between her legs. She lets out an embarrassed squeak that dissolves into a strangled whimper when Joohyun strokes over her panties.

“And did you like it, Wannie? Was I good?” 

“Wha— huh? Unnie, what do you m—”

Joohyun doesn’t wait for a coherent answer. She leans down and shushes Seungwan’s stutter with a kiss, and a fierce new blush scribbles across the blonde’s cheeks as her eyes instinctively flutter closed.

Right now, Seungwan can’t deny it no matter how much she wants to.

“You’re amazing, unnie.”

Joohyun smiles. “Don’t worry Wannie, everything’s going to be alright. Let me take care of you now, okay?”

With bashful eyes, Seungwan nods. If Joohyun says it’ll be okay, she has no doubt that it will.

synopsis: You are a popular artist in America, pretty famous, loved and well-known by the general public (actually you were one of the top 10 artists in the world but you are pretty humble and naïve to realize your popularity), one day during one of your fan meets you talk about how much you love BTS, and not only how you wish to meet them and work with them but how Jungkook is one of your celebrity crushes. During the meet you fangirled with other ARMYs in the crowd; video clips of you fangirling and talking about BTS at your meet where posted and reposted all over social media. This obviously broke the internet because you were not only a famous singer but you also were always accepted and loved by ARMY and this made a lot of people happy. Suddenly it felt like everyone wanted you to meet the seven handsome and talented idols and collaborate, but you could only wish, you believed they didn't even know who you were...or so you thought

Part 4 - Hotel? Trivago.

you started to sing and suddenly you heard a voice behind you singing with you, and you couldn’t even turn around to prove you were not mistaken, you knew that voice too well, the live audience was losing it, the crew looked excited, you went numb, you looked back and it seemed like a joke, a complete dream…..

The seven guys were coming out from behind the curtain, being led by Jungkook, he was singing the bridge of the song, mic in hand and just looking at you. Your knees gave out and you curled on your knees as you cried on your knees, ‘there is no way’, you could even begin to process what was going on, The boys were a little shy and stayed behind you as Jimmy lifted you from the floor and made you look at them. 

Once you could stand up/being held up by Jimmy, RM was the first to approach you, they all introduced themselves and after they bowed their heads out of respect and you did the same, you looked at them in awe. Then they greeted Jimmy too. Jungkook signaled you to keep singing the last part of the song and as a professional singer you did. You picked up your singing almost at the end of the song: “kkumeul geonneoseo supul neometro, seonmyeonghaejineun geu goseuro ga” holding the mic with to hands trying to hide your shaking hands Jungkook standing next to you to the left and the guys with Jimmy around the both of you; you lifted one hand from the mic and showed it to the closest people to your right which were Jimin, V and Jimmy; and just as you put it up to show how shaky it was Jungkook took your hand as he sang: “Take my hands now, You are the cause of my euphoria.” You really looked at him for the first time ever, you had never seen him in person before…. Your eyes met each other for a split second.

The guys, Jimmy, the crew, the audience, everyone cheered and squealed at this little interaction; you both blushed and dropped each other's hands. You turned back to hide your face covering your mouth as you got teary eyes. The guys near Jungkook hit him and teased him due to his ‘out of the blue’ confidence. He was normally more shy when it came to interactions with strangers, especially if it was with women. But even Jungkook seemed surprised at himself; he blushed too, but kept going. You both finished the song, harmonizing perfectly, facing each other, but avoiding his eyes, you felt so vulnerable looking at his eyes.

They all applauded once you finished and they cut to a commercial break. The guys were taken by crew members to get mic'd up, and Meg once again for the third time tonight fixed your appearance. They went back from break and sat on the couch next to Jimmy, they made a space for you in the middle of the guys, and you took a seat with trembling limbs as the ‘back from commercials’ music played and the audience cheered.

On the main couch sat RM nearest to the desk, then you to his right, Jungkook next to you and Suga on the end of the medium couch; behind you V, Jimin J-Hope and Jin sat on higher chairs all facing the front. Jimmy spoke “so I heard you introduced yourselves o y/n in english with the help of RM, but she can actually speak Korean. Y/n why don’t you introduce yourself?” They all turned to you from all angles; “Oh i'm so sorry; RM was so kind to translate when they introduced themselves, I didn't want to seem rude by interrupting him, but sure um-” you switched to korean and looked around you to the boys “Hello, my name is y/n, I am so pleased to meet you all, it's a dream come true, please take good care of me” The guys immediately made small comments at your cute Korean accent, “aww so cute” “wow you are good” “cute” even though a Korean person could probably tell Korean was was not your first language due to the accent difference, you where really good at it. 

“So I wanted to ask the guys a couple of questions too, thank you guys for coming, it's always a pleasure to have you all.” Jimmy said, after this he introduced them to the audience and gave them a proper introduction. Jimmy proceeded to catch up with the guys, asking them questions too; you helped RM translate too, which made the interview run smoother, you were making the guys laugh with your small contributions (by adding comments or opinions in Korean). During this time Jungkook and you were sitting so close to each other, you could see eachother out of the corners of your eyes, you were each other's celebrity crushes after all.

After a while you started loosening up and getting more comfortable; this was part of your personality, you were known to be a social butterfly, so even though this was a dream come true and you couldn’t stop crying like 15 mins ago; your body knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and that there is no time to be all shy and quiet. You got looser, bolder, and more confident, actually showing your real personality, the personality the boys knew you like from your videos and social media. (and the personality that made Jungkook so drawn to you in the first place.) Your change in personality even made the boys less stiff and more relaxed too.

After the catch up with the guys you all stood up to play another one of Jimmy’s famous show games/challenges/activities. “So now that you all are more comfortable with each other let’s play a game, this game is called ‘Guess The Jam’, Basically we will play a song and like earlier you have to dance to it; the difference this time is that the dancer will be wearing headphones and others have to guess the song they are dancing too by just judging the dance moves. 

Y/N will be dancing to BTS songs and BTS is going to dance to y/n songs, yes?” You were now standing WITH them instead of next to them/distant from them, you all seemed like you bonded. “yes” “Let’s GO!” “I got it”.

Again the game was a success you danced to multiple songs and they all guessed their title by your dancing to all of the songs that had been assigned to you; and you were so impressed at the seven grown a*s men, dancing perfectly to random songs of yours, you guessed most of them, but you got distracted at times form the hilarious scene in front of you. *J-Hope trting really hard to coordinate everyone in seconds to make the dance clear, they eventually would give up and dance their hearts out*, leaving you with no other choice but to TRY and guess what the hell they were dancing to. 

At some point the maknae line (V/Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook) made you dance with them to some of the songs (IDOL, Boy with luv, Burning up, etc) while the hyungs cheered you guys on, and also while J-Hope recorded you four like you were his children dancing at a school show. 

You all took a break after the dance segment and went to freshen up while Jimmy did another sponsorship. You changed back to your Fancy outfit and Meg AGAIN, for the millionth time tonight fixed your image, your team/crew would hype up and get all supportive since BTS arrived, telling you you were doing great, and how this was your dream come true, etc. You thanked your manager too, every time you briefly saw him during the ‘touch up moment’, then you went back to the studio couch with the boys in the same order you were sitting before.

You didn't notice but Jungkook looked at you in awe as you came out with a different outfit, the guys had been watching the whole show up to the point where they surprised you backstage, meaning he had seen the outfit before, but the view in person was different; he proved his hypothesis to be right...you truly lighted up a room the minute you walked in it. He composed himself, he was being shy and quiet while you were showing a more inviting and relaxed vibe. (Pfft he had no idea you were still shi*ting your pants hahaha).

“So  y/n and I talked about this earlier; she is going to be performing tomorrow for the Billboard awards, and I hear that you guys will also be performing. Is that true? RM was about to translate to the guys and then answer Jimmy, but you handled it and translated Jimmy’s question to the guys for him, letting him answer comfortably; sometimes he could have a hard time during interviews in english because he had to constantly translate for the guys; this little gesture meant so much to him. “Yeah, we too are going to be performing tomorrow, we are really excited and thankful for the opportunity, and we are also excited to watch the whole award show too,” RM said. They were also nominated and were going to watch the show, you got a little excited your were going to see them again tomorrow, even if you knew you probably were only going to be able to see them on stage due to how hard it was actually to ‘hang out’ with other celebrities on award shows due to the different schedules and hectic environment. Nevertheless you were trying to enjoy your little burst of confidence and take in every moment right now with the guys; you knew your friendship would probably last only for today. (a/n oHhH muahahah u thought y/n)

The Jimmy Fallon Show was a complete success, the plan worked, your team and BTS’s team with the help of Jimmy were able to surprise you guys; the timing worked because you were both in the same place due to the billboard awards and your performances.

After the show you even hung out a little with them before you all had to go. The chemistry between you and the guys was unbelievable, it seemed like you guys had been close friends all this time. 

RM and you bonded over speaking english, even teasing others by speaking english and not translating back for them; Suga and you had bonded over producing music, you both talked about how the process is for the both of you, and he even said he would love to work with someone like you (even though he was normally a more chill, cold person to strangers, he immediately felt comfortable to show you his warmer side, that’s your charm); J-Hope and you bonded over dance, you both ‘fangirled’ about each others’ skills, you too both agreed that working with each other in the future would be so cool; Jin and you seemed like siblings I swear, he too is normally more shy when it comes to one-on-one interactions with strangers but due to your boldness, you immediately bonded by teasing each other, he would also try and make you cringe with cheesy Korean dad jokes, but you always had another cringier joke to fight back with; Let’s just say you passed Taehyung’s vibe check, he really likes your personality and you met all his expectations of you, he was not disappointed, out of all of the guys you had the quickest bond with him, he now even has a nickname for you and you too also start to call him ‘Tae Tae’ after just a couple hours of meeting; Jimin struggled a little at first to approach you, he was really fangirling over you once the cameras were cut, but you approached him and made him feel comfortable, he then immediately loosened up and bonded over your similar personalities, it was like hanging out with a literal different version of yourself, you even already had inside jokes with him too; and Jungkook…. oh Jungkook, you guys seemed to fit so well, in the little time you both hung out you were making each other cry laugh, you had small conversations about music, dance, about your cultural differences, he even said that if you ever went to Korea, he would like to show you around his favorite places, but every time you guys would chat with each other or literally by just existing next to each other, the guys would act weird and either make small comments and noises to tease you, or try and give you space in the small dressing room by standing up from the couch and dashing to the corner of the room (again imagine six grown men huddled in the corner trying to act ‘natural’ when Jungkook only handed you a bottle of water that was brought in by a crew member).

It was crazy how quick you all created this friendship, the guys had already talked amongst themselves and agreed that no matter what, they would really care for this friendship and that they would do everything in their power to keep you in their lives (Suga said that he was down to kidnap you from america and take you to South Korea in case you all became distant). 

You were currently sitting in their dressing room chatting, basically getting to know them and them getting to know you (y'all were having some deep conversations) you also learned you were staying in the same hotel and that the next day you all had rehearsals at the same time for your performances, you compared your schedules and  they seemed to match up for the most part. In conclusion you were staying at the same hotel, had rehearsals at 8:00 am in the same location the next day, and you guys wanted to hang out a little more.

Your managers came in to tell you that the cars were ready to take you to the hotel, you got a little sad you had to leave them for the ride back, but their manager said “Oh, y/n, you get to choose who you want to travel back with, we canceled your car so that you could drive back with the boys” you smiled from ear to ear and quickly introduced yourself to the bilingual man in charge of managing the guys behind you who were currently fighting over who you got to ride back to the hotel with.

Due to the fact that no one wanted to be left out riding back without you, you where currently eight adults...packed tightly into a small van on the back seats. Both of your teams/staffs watched as you all tried to get in the van, like children (screaming, pushing, laughing) they didnt know if they should find this cute/funny or drag you all into separate vans once and for all. 

“Dude I can feel your fuc*ing hair IN MY NOSE, move” Suga spoke, “Whose hand is that, ey they getting friendly” Tae said, as a joke you said “That’s my hand, my bad” making everyone laugh. “Jimin you know, you are not so light weighted, I need blood circulation” Jin commented, “Oy aren't you sitting too close to y/n kookie? If something happens I’m taking y/n’s side.” You all laughed, it was true tho, you were basically on top of Jungkook but weren't you all ‘TOO CLOSE’ to each other? I mean- 3 seats for 8 adults? It definitely defied the laws of physics but it worked out. 

The ten minute ride to the hotel was interesting; the first 5 minutes were silent, after 2 minutes you asked for the radio, but it was broken, after 2 more minutes you could faintly hear Jin’s moaning out in pain as he was being suffocated; due to the weird sounds he was making, the context and your ‘dirty minded heads’ you and JK burst out laughing, making the others infected with your laughter, this until you arrived.

Once you were at the hotel, your teams made you stand like disobedient children in a line ‘soldier style’ while they arranged the room situations. (you had stayed at a different hotel in the afternoon due to its closeness to the Jimmy fallon set and due to the fact you only used it to nap and shower, but this hotel was closer to where the billboard awards where and to where your rehearsals were so this was your temporary home for now, aslo your team had to rent a lot of rooms for the 20 or so people traveling with you. BTS had to do the same) 

While the keys were being activated one of the BTS staff members started to ask the guys for their room service orders, so the kitchen could start making them; your manager’s assistant also took your order and while you were busy choosing your dinner, the maknae line had an idea...

Once you finished ordering Tae and Jungkook interlocked their arms with yours tightly and Jimin spoke to staff: “Excuse me could you please be so kind to send all of our meals to Jin’s room, (turning to YOUR staff he again spoke in broken english) y/n would also like her dinner to be sent to Jin’s room, than you all, gudnait”, 

While Jungkook and V dragged you, Jimin bowed to the staff and followed you. Suga was cry-laughing at your cruising while being dragged away, he lifted one of your dragging legs up and RM followed him, lifting the other leg. J-hope started recording the whole ordeal. Jin was following them as he suddenly realized... “Oi why does it always have to be my room? I always end up smelling like steak '' he kept following anyway. 

Your manager speeded up and walked next to your now lifted body and told you to have fun and to go to your room early to be responsible and not stay up so late for tomorrow’s early rehearsals (cute scene: without putting you down the boys stopped and lowered you a little so that you could say good night to Sam and he could kiss your forehead, they they lifted you back up)  

You arrived at Jin's assigned hotel room and the guys comfortably all spread around the room; you walked in a little shy because you had never hung out  like this with anyone, plus you didn't know what to do…. Jin was the last one to walk in and he put his arm around you encouraging you to walk in with him, he even pushed Jimin off the bed so you could sit there and he took the desk chair while you all waited for the food. You all had dinner in Jin’s room, sitting on the floor and drinking wine (Jin and Jimin insisted on having alcohol) you were having so much fun. After dinner you all kept drinking while playing drinking games with the tiny alcohol bottles hotels provide.

It was really really REALLY past your bedtimes; just analize with me: if the Jimmy Fallon show ended at 12:00am and you  guys got to the hotel at around 12:30, you had dinner, played games, drank, etc.; imagine what time it is currently…. 

You all were at least little tipsy by now, RM spoke to everyone: “Guys-ss we should probably go back to our rooms, wE hAve to be aWake and readY to gOooooo. for tomorrow..” even though he was all sloppy and slow form the alcohol he was still following his ‘leader’ role. Everyone drunkenly cleaned up Jin's room and stood up to leave to head to your rooms. Out of everyone in here, you and Jungkook were the least drunk; not because you drank less, but apparently you both were better at handling alcohol than the others.

JK offered to walk you to your room because even if you weren't super drunk you were still a little sloppy (which he was too) and your team had rented the floor under so he didn’t want to leave you alone to find your way (you found this so cute, no one had ever treated you like this, he was a true gentleman). 

Obviously the guys teased when you both walked together in the same direction, you just kept walking, making small talk. Once the elevator arrived on your floor you thought JK would ride the elevator back, but he insisted on making sure you were safe inside your room before he left. You walked through the hall, heels in your right hand and Jungkook walking to your left. You suddenly passed by a clear door that showed outside to a terrazze (basically used for smokers, but other people could use it too) and not thinking it through you took JK’s hand and walked outside.

It was a warm night and the terrazze was pretty dark-ish and small, but the view was beautiful; the night sky contrasting the bright lights form the buildings’ skyline. You looked at the view, mesmerized by it, Jungkook could only look at you, he thought you looked too beautiful and as you tightly held on to the railing looking out wide eyed at the pretty lights. 

You turned to him and realized he was looking at you, you analyzed his face thinking: ‘waw he is the most handsome man I have ever seen’ as you looked into his eyes, even through your tipsy state you realized >OMG I'M STANDING OUT HERE WITH JUNGKOOK, THE. JUNGKOOK., FUC*K, I PROBABLY LOOK LIKE SHIT DAMMIT, WAIT THIS IS MY CELEBRITY CRUSH, WHAT DO I DO 

You seemed to be getting physically closer and closer to eachother, he was looking down at you in such an adoring way, but in his head he was also thinking…> OMG I'M STANDING OUT HERE WITH Y/N, THE. Y/N., FUC*K, I PROBABLY LOOK LIKE SHIT DAMMIT, WAIT THIS IS MY CELEBRITY CRUSH, WHAT DO I DO , but even though you were BOTH freaking out, the two of you knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, having someone so special to you, like this, in front of you…

You were now standing inches away from each other's faces, “hi…” you said, almost whispering as you smiled sweetly at him, looking from his eyes to his lips.

“Hi” Jungkook said in a raspy almost sleepy tone, smiling with his teeth and suddenly dropping his smile back down as he followed your eyes; he wanted to close the space between you two, but he didn't want to do anything that would make you uncomfortable or think of him differently. 

You were the first to speak, breaking eye contact and looking at his chest. “Um, could I, if it’s not too weird, um- put...my arms around you?” you immediately regretted it; what if he didnt understand your Korean, what if you translated it wrong in your head before saying it outloud what if-.... A small chuckle coming from in front of you stopped your train of thought, Jungkook put his hand under your chin and lifted your face to look at him again; he took your arms and placed them around his neck; he then put his hands on your waist, but loosened his hold and asked if you were okay with that and you nodded.

You both stared at each other’s eyes; you both fit so perfectly in each other's arms you felt so comfortable. The tension could be cut with a knife, you looked back at his lips and he did too; getting closer, you could feel his breathing on your face, you both closed your eyes and barely touched your lips together when his phone went off for the millionth time startling you, you both separated your faces and looked wide-eyed at the other, a tint of blush on your cheeks… you kissed him, he kissed you, even though it was the tiniest, shortest, lightest kiss in the history of kisses you both felt happy about it. When you realized you two had the same expression on your faces you both laughed, you had never been this comfortable with a man before, specially in such a short period of time.

His phone ket going off and off, “My phone has been ringing for so long now hahaha, since we left the elevator it has rung, but I didn't want to answer and um- you know… I don't want to answer and not be focused on you” he said as you both took a step back from each other and as he answered the 37th call after ignoring other 36 calls. 

“PFFfffft ohhhhh he answered, hi guki, um ahahaha shut the fAq uP Tae ahahahah um…. we….. can't get into our rooms'' you could hear the snickers and slow words through the phone, you and Jungkook still felt a little numb and sloppy from the alcohol, how could they be so drunk?. 

“Hyung… ugh fine, i’ll be there don’t go anywhere, nobody move, okay?” he hung up and humorously sighed, he would normally find this situation to be hilarious but the fact that he had to interrupt a once in a lifetime moment with his celebrity crush so that he could help his older brothers….dam.

You chuckled at his reaction, you picked the heels from the ground and boldly kissed him on the cheek, you walked in front of him to head inside, knowing how caring he was to his friends; but before you could go inside Jungkook stopped you by taking your hand, “I know this is an embarrassing question but if I don't do this now I may never be able to have this opportunity again…” 

You were still facing the door, your hand in his hand behind your back; frozen from anticipation of what he might say next. 

“Can I um-, *deep inhale* can I kiss you one more time before you go?” you immediately turned around (and this might be the alcohol working it’s magic but you thought ‘he is right, if this was someone else you probably wouldn't have kissed them first day after meeting meeting them, but this was Jungkook, your ‘platonic crush’ from the other side of the world, what if after this weekend you never saw each other again?’) 

Dropping your heels, and letting go of his hand you wrap your hands around his neck, pulling him in to you and kissing him; you both smiled against each other's lips form the sudden butterflies in your stomach and happiness you felt. He pulled you even closer with one hand on the side of your face and the other on your hip, then he wrapped his arms around your torso and you put your arms around his neck holding each other tighter. 

This was no ‘take me now’ R-rated kiss at all; it was a more soft, intimate, sweet kiss. You let go and hugged each other one last time on that terrazze; normally you both didn't really like the whole “corny lovey dovey” scene, so once you let go you both chuckled at your cheesy moment. You walked back inside with him to look for your hotel room, he even asked if he could hold your hand while walking down the hall, you laughed a little at him and took his hand confidently. You remembered your manager told you your room was 456B when the boys were dragging you at the entrance. You  finally arrived at the door, you turned to look at Jungkook and thanked him with a warm genuine smile; he leaned down and kissed the side of your mouth and smiled back and said goodnight with his bunny smile.  :,) 

You turned around and turned the handle to open the door, it didn't open… and something finally clicked in that drunken little head of yours…. SAM NEVER GAVE YOU THE FUC*ING ROOM KEY… you felt like panicking, it was almost 5:30 am, you had to be awake in 2.5 hours for rehearsals and you had nowhere to sleep, instead of crying you laughed, you burst out laughing; Jungkook covered your mouth and leaned over you with your back against the door; he was looking around with a quiet giggle to make sure you didn't wake anyone up.

“ahhh *small giggle* ahh um yeah I would normally just cry in these situations but I- I don’t have a key… Sam didn't give me one” Jungkook was about to come up with a plan to solve this but you knew what he was going to say:  “The front desk won’t open that room for me because it is not registered under my name, for security reasons; Two they can’t give me another room because I need my card and ID to get one and I only have my phone with me; Three, I can’t wake up sam or anyone in my team because A. it isn’t their fault and I would be disrupting their sleep, B. I will get in trouble because Sam told me to come back early, and C…. idk but I wanted to say ‘and C’ ” you said, Jungkook looked down at you and couldn’t help but laugh at you. “Hey don’t make fun of me, it’s not my fault” you poked his chest. He stopped, “No, I’m not laughing at you, the guys have a similar problem apparently what a coincidence” he answered. The both of you decided to go see the guys first before trying to figure out what to do, together, as a team of 8 drunk heads. 

When you arrived on the top floor, there they where, 5 drunk BTS members in front of you; RM was leaning over a hallway wall talking to ‘nothing’ as if he was practicing how to flirt with an invisible person; J-Hope was passed out in fetal position on the floor; Suga was cry laughing rolling on the floor while also trying to click the camera button on his phone as he wobbled back and forth clicking on everything but the camera icon; Jimin was standing still, phone still in his ear, he looked at a statue (remember Kookie said on the phone with Jimin ‘nobody move, okay?’ well Jimin hadn’t moved ever since Jungkook hung up the phone); Tae was literally in the middle of performing some sort of strip/circus/magic/dance show for Suga when they realized you two standing there they composed themselves “what… the hell? hahahahahha, what happened?” You laughed out loud and Jungkook immediately covered your mouth, he quietly giggled as he had done this exact thing minutes ago too. 

In summary, once Jin waved everyone off he went into his room, that's why he is not here; Suga struggled to find his key but eventually found it in his suit jacket and was able to go into his room, he barely spent one minute in there when RM knocked at the door and told Suga that he had no idea where is room was, the keys where not numbered, so Suga said ‘I can help you’ and went out to the hallway to help him but even Suga was confused as to how HE found his room so he told RM don’t worry, sleep in my room and tomorrow the staff can help you, when he turned around to open the door Suga realized he left the key inside. J-Hope had passed out in Jin’s room and Jin had said it was okay for him to stay in his room, but J-Hope had woken up and said good night and walked out so Jin though he was all good and on his way safely to his room...WRONG, J-hope gave up 5 steps down the hall and said ‘i need rest, here floor *thump*’ and dropped on the ground; Taehyung didn’t even know he had a room for himself, so he definitely he has no idea where his room was supposed to be; and Jimin did know where his key was and room, but it apparently was deactivated, but seeing how everyone was up here he opted to not go get it reactivated, he didn’t want to be left out.

Jungkook started losing it, cry-laughing at his friends; this time you humorously covered his mouth like he did to you, as you tried to think of a solution. BINGO, you rang Jin’s door insistently until he opened up. Once he opened the door with sleepy eyes he analized the scene behind you and your hand covering the youngest member’s mouth he sighed, allowing you all inside his room. 

All of you knew you had less than 3 hours to sleep and actually do a good job tomorrow so everyone took up a spot to rest. In the bed J-hope and Jin slept comfortably; Suga fell asleep sitting down on the desk chair; Tae slept in the bathroom’s bathtub; RM threw himself on the tiny couch for two with his arms and legs hanging out from the sides; you sat on the floor leaning against the wall, Jimin used your leg as a pillow and Jungkook sat next to you, he actually did have his hotel key with him and knew his room was literally the one next to this one, but he wanted to be where you where. You both also fell asleep sitting leaning against the wall.

BUT I bet in James’ mind, he’s for sure been pretending and this whole time whenever he’s been sitting boo-boo faced in the corner moping, he’s been planning out how to tell Teresa and going over the plan of how she’s going to “die” and they’re going to disappear. So he could tell her and they could execute it perfectly when the right time presented itself. Right? And that’s all going to be shoved into like the last few minutes of the finale, isn’t it?

Kami: That would be quite difficult. Three losses in a row is quite bad isn't it?

T: Yeah.

J: Its impossible for you to help? Can't you use some of your power?

Kami:......... No, I don't have any power.

J: Haha

Kami: The higher up gods do, but not the lower ones.

J: Can't you ask one of the higher up gods? You could be their mouthpiece.

Kami:.........No, the conditions are strict.

K: Ok, Joe, today's topic please.

J: Yep...Its the news about the mystery of the northern European fashion brand that doesn't sell a single item of clothing. The website 'Carlings' catering to mainly northern Europe, has launched the fashion brand 'Neo-ex'. But it seems as if you can't actually buy clothes on the site. As for how it works, users can choose fashion they like from the 'Neo-Ex' collection, then they upload a photo of themselves. After that a team of exclusive 3D designers will created realistic images of you wearing the clothes. Then the user can buy the images. For example, they could use 'Neo-Ex' in order to look cool on social media. As for the price, you don't buy the clothes, only the image, but it costs between ¥1,300 and ¥3,900. It may appear as profiteering to some, but their aim is to cast the first stone in reducing the huge amount of waste that the fashion industry produces. What do you think about this Kaoru?

K: I mean...I don't really know.

J: You don't know? haha

K: I don't know, but at the same time Im kinda like, 'Ah, I see'.

T: Well, this method was first created at the beginning of 2019. Its still a bit strange, even now, but for sure, I think its good to use with social media.

J: Mmm, I see. Isetan did something similar to this after corona started. When it got really bad with corona, no-one could go to department stores, no one went to shops, so Isetan made avatars, like in a video, and in that the avatars could go shopping, and try on clothes. They charged a fee for it. I read an interview about it,  and what I found interesting was that rather than aiming this at stressed out people who love clothes, but can't go shopping, by letting people make avatars, they were trying to open up an entirely different market. Well, thats what people are saying. This project might be a bit different from that though...Well, its not about buying clothes in reality...well, their aim may be to bring attention to the waste the fashion industry produces, but it also kinda changes the way we see fashion. It doesn't matter how much you pick with this, right? You don't buy them.

T: Yeah.

K: Well, yeh.

T: If you never leave your house, and start living though an avatar, its like your life is over. I have a feeling we'll start hearing stories like that.

K: But there are loads of peope on social media who model clothes that they've bought, aren't there?

J: Yeah..So as for who this fits, its one way to express yourself on social media, right?

K: In that sense, its ok isn't it? And its cheaper than buying the actual clothes. Ah, but does the design team choose for you? Ah, you choose yourself?

J: Yeah, then they create an image of you wearing the clothes. You don't actually buy the clothes, so there is no kind of waste produced, but if you want to just show everyone how the clothes look, you can pay from ¥1,300  to about ¥4000.

T: Its expensive!

K: This would be interesting if various brands were included.

T: Well, yeh.

J: Yeh.

K: And people like us (Dir en grey) could join it, and people could wear our clothes. It might be interesting.

J: Like not actually wearing, but just creating an image?

T: Fans could try on the same outfit as Kaoru and stuff..

K: Yeah. Or you could dress up as historical figures, do cosplay. Or you could choose stuff that you've seen models or tv stars wearing. I think this is a brand at the moment, but if they made that kind of website..

J:Ah, it could be interesting, right?

K: Yeh.

J: I mean, its also good that it doesn't create any waste products.

K: There's a lot isn't there?

J: Well, yeh, if clothes don't sell...in the end, if they are part of a collection, they don't sell them off cheaply, they just cut them up and throw them away.

T: Ah, really?

J: Yeh, and there is a lot of stuff made out of cotton, so thats kinda also related to environmental damage. The economy only works if you keep making stuff and selling stuff, but if you don't sell, it becomes waste, and the earth's environment has to take on that burden. But with this website, its purely the design aspect, so there is no burden on the earth.

K: I wonder if they can do this on any type of photo..

J: What do you mean?

K: Like do you have to be standing straight, facing the camera like this, or could you be sitting down, or..?

J: Ah, your pose?

K: Yeh yeh. Its not that cool to post a photo of yourself just standing up straight. This might actually be quite difficult.

J: Yeah.

K: Was Kami going to say something just then?

Kami: Um, I can't choose clothes at all.

K: You just wear half dried out Tshirts? haha.

J: Haha, yeah. There were quite a lot of people who wanted those.

K: Really? Hahaha

J: It's weird! People saying, 'I want one of Kami's half dried out t-shirts'.

Kami: I only buy cheap clothes. Cheap clothes which won't show the dirt. But even so, my shoes are expensive. 

J: Ah, shoes, yeah.

T: What type of shoes do you buy, Kami?

Kami: I buy quite nice shoes. Yes, I do. I mean, I don't really know, though, something around ¥6000.

J: Im not sure if thats cheap or expensive, haha.

K: Yeh, its kinda hard to tell.

J: Yeh, its that ambiguous zone. If it was ¥500 you could say, 'wow, thats cheap!'. But ¥6000 is like, well...'oh, ok..', kinda.

Kami: I pay ¥500 for tshirts.

T: Thats cheap.

J: Kami, do you wanna try this? Making a fashion image like this?

Kami: No way.

J: So icy...haha.

K: Don't you post photos on socia media, Kami?

T: Oh right, yeh.

Kami: Not at all. But I think doing this type of thing is a really good thing. It's like casting the first stone, it said. I like stuff like that.

J: Ahh.

Kami: I think its a good thing, but I wouldn't do it myself.

J: I kinda wanna try checking out this website. To see what its actually like.

K: Yeah, if it looks interesting...

J: Kaoru, you should try it!

K: Me?

J: Yeh.

K: This? Should I do it?

Kami: Ah, thats a good idea.

K: I could try it, and then we could talk about it on here.

J: Yeh, yeh. And I want you to post your images on Instagram to show what its like.

K: Ahh, ok, ok.

Kami: Let me pick something!

K: Eh?

T: Let Kami select the clothes.

K: Kami? Kami selecting? Im scared, haha.

J: I wonder what a guy who only wears smelly tshirts will choose?...Ok, so would it be styling by Kami?

K: Yeh, yeh, yeh.

J: I do want to see that too.

K: Well, it would be interesting.

J: So, you could wear stuff that us three choose for you.

T: It would show our personalities.

T: Thats a good idea. But its also scary. What if they press thumbs down a lot.

J: Like, Booo?

T: Yeh.

K: Well, it doesn't matter which, we could aim for booing.

“My First Friend”

A translation of the DQXI:S voice drama track featuring Hendrik and Jasper when they were young kids.

One winter morning, two young apprentices walk out of the snow-covered Heliodor Castle. They head down to the warm abode of an ever-waiting mother. The two lonely boys, Hendrik and Jasper… what awaits them at the end of their secret little adventure?

  －My First Friend－

  Hendrik: Father! Please, open the door! I’m scared!

Father: ...Hendrik. Do not open the door until dawn breaks. As a knight's child, you know not to go against your superior. Now, think of me as such.

Hendrik: Why… why!? What about mother? Sisters… where?

Father: Hendrik! There is no time! Listen to me!

Hendrik: [sniffling] ...Yes.

  Father: Hendrik… my son. Whatever happens after this, do not despair. Whatever happens tonight is inevitable. Never forget, your father fought for a bright future for you. Hendrik, you must survive!

Hendrik: Father… please wait! Father… Father!

  Hendrik: FATHER!

Apprentice A: Shut up, Hendrik!

Hendrik: S-sorry! That… dream again…

  "...Just like today, it rained heavily that night. The kingdom of Zwaardsrust had been destroyed by a horde of monsters overnight. My father had hid me in the basement of the church, and I was later found by the King of Heliodor when they came to inspect. I… was the only one who survived within my family. Then, I was taken in as a knight apprentice at Heliodor Castle.

...It has been a while since that nightmare, but I‘d grown afraid of the night’s fall up till this day. I still remember that dark, wet basement, and then the fires when I left that basement…"

  Hendrik: The child of a knight should not be crying at a time like this…!

(If I cry again, they will hate me more. Especially that mean one…)

Jasper: Again and again, night after night… you are so noisy that we cannot sleep! You are a survivor of that Zwaardsrust thing, right? If you’re really the son of a Drustinian knight, then surely everyone from there is a crybaby like you!

  "Jasper… he is a blonde-haired apprentice knight. I couldn’t sleep ever since arriving at the castle, and he said such mean words to me. I am fine with insults directed at me. But I could never tolerate insults about Zwaardsrust…"

  "And then…"

  Hendrik: ...Take it back… take it back right now!

Jasper: What are you－

Hendrik: Take it back!

Commander: You two! Stop it right now!

  "Since then, every time I saw Jasper's face, I would end up fighting with him. Someone who doesn’t care for others would not make a good knight… But I do wonder if a day would come where I would patch things up with Jasper…"

  Commander: Jasper, Hendrik. Are you two ready?

...Begin!!

Jasper: Hmph.

Hendrik: Tch…!

Jasper: Hah!

Hendrik: Agh!

Commander: Match! The winner is Jasper!

Hendrik: Darn it! 49 wins, 49 losses…

Jasper: ...Wrong. This is my 50th win. Do you not know how to count right?

Hendrik: Tch…

Jasper: Hm…

Hendrik: Someday… someday I will defeat you, Jasper!

Commander! Please, instruct me!

  Commander: That'll mark the end of training this morning! We will now move on to the cleaning of the area! As usual, the top apprentice will be exempted from cleaning! Today's Number One… Jasper!

Apprentices: Oooh...!!

Apprentice A: He's been in first place for ten days in a row now…

Apprentice B: He is a prodigy, after all…

Commander: Enough talking, get to cleaning now!

Apprentices: Yes, Sir!

  Hendrik: Phew!

Apprentice A: That Jasper guy, I don't like him at all! He doesn't even work that hard, and he came in after us! We had the skills and education for it!

Apprentice B: Yeah, cannot help but feel like he makes us look like complete fools.

Apprentice A: Prodigies who step foot into this castle get all the luck, huh!

Apprentice B: ...Well, I heard something interesting the other day. A rumour about him.

Apprentice A: What is it? 

Apprentice B: I heard it from one of the King's maids, but Jasper came to the castle… because he was abandoned by his parents.

Apprentice A: Abandoned!?

Apprentice B: Shh! Don't yell!

  Apprentice A: ...Really?

Apprentice B: Yeah. Rumour has it that he came from a noble home, but they couldn't hold up. He doesn't have a dad. So his mother left him alone here in the castle.

Apprentice A: Aw… that's so saaad.

  Hendrik: Hey!

Apprentice A: ...Huh? What do you want?

Hendrik: Spreading bad rumours about others is unbefitting of a knight!

...Right?

Apprentice A: Aw, here comes the good boy Hendrik.

Apprentice B: Ooh, the Drustinian knight's son is so serious!

A and B: Hahaha!

Hendrik: Jasper is－ ...he is not a good guy, but you should not be saying things behind his back!

Apprentice A: ...Hey, Hendrik, who do you think you're talking to?

Apprentice B: You want to scrap with us?

Hendrik: Y-yeah! Both of you, come!

  "That's enough, Hendrik!"

  Apprentice A: J-Jasper…

Jasper: You guys did good today. Say… did you see my book anywhere?

Apprentice B: Book… Ah, I saw it on top of the bench…

Jasper: Oh, you are right. Thank you.

  Jasper: I will study even harder… And then I will－

Hendrik: Jasper!

Jasper: Do not follow me!

Hendrik: Wait!

Apprentice A: Oi, Hendrik! We're not done talking to you!

Hendrik: Don’t get in my way!

[SPLASH!]

Apprentice A: Agh, so cold!

Apprentice B: What do you think you are doing!?

Hendrik: Take this water and reflect on it!

  Hendrik: Jasper! Wait, Jasper!

Jasper: What do you want?

Hendrik: I… That, earlier…

Jasper: ...It doesn’t concern you.

Hendrik: But－...

Jasper: [sighing] Look at this.

Hendrik: …A letter?

Jasper: ...From my mother. She said that she’s sick, so she cannot take me back home yet.

Hendrik: Jasper, I…

Jasper: My mother－! My mother promised me that she will come pick me up once she’s all better and I became a good knight!

...She has not abandoned me!!

Hendrik: …Sorry.

Jasper: Give it back to me. I'm going.

  "That was the first day Jasper and I did not quarrel."

  "After that, he kept trying to avoid me. He would not look me in the eye and we didn’t talk, and a year passed without noticing… Then came what I thought would be a long winter break."

  Knight A: The year is finally over.

Knight B: Ah, we can go home after all this while…

Knight A: Be careful on your way back, there's a lot of snow this year.

Knight B: Yeah, you too.

Minister: Hear ye, hear ye! Now commences the King's Speech!

Carnelian: My subjects, you have gathered well today. This year, due to everyone's diligence, the prosperity and peace of Heliodorians stand ever stronger! Though it is a short vacation, please, return to your homes and get your much deserved rest. We will see you again once the new year starts!

Knights: Long Live the King! Long Live the King!

  Commander: Jasper, Hendrik. You two are the only remaining apprentices in the castle now. What you want to do is up to you… Don’t be fighting over everything now.

Hendrik: Yes. Have a great new year ahead.

[Silence between the boys.]

Hendrik: A-ah! Look, Jasper! There is so much snow! It is rare for it to be snowing this much in Heliodor, right?

Jasper: Yeah.

[More silence.]

Hendrik: Everyone is going home, isn't that nice?

Jasper: …

Hendrik:  ...Jasper, are you not going home?

Jasper: ...My mother's sickness got worse. I cannot go home and touch her or I'll get it too… that is what the King…

Hendrik: I see…

  Hendrik: ...Say, Jasper. Don't you want to get out of here and see your mother?

Jasper: What are you saying? Didn’t I just say that the King said I cannot?

Hendrik: You are so stubborn! If we leave and come back before dinner, we will be alright.

Jasper: But… the King said…

Hendrik: Yeah, the King's always right! Just as expected, the King! Wonderful! But… I think if she's really sick, you should see her. Maybe she will feel better when she sees her son's face after so long.

Jasper: But－

Hendrik: Jasper, do you want to see your mother or not!?

Jasper: ...I do.

Hendrik: Alright! That’s the way to go! Come on!

  Hendrik: Wow! It’s been so long since we went into town! Jasper, do you know how to make snowballs?

Jasper: When we told the gatekeeper we wanted to go outside to see the King, he immediately let us through… is the castle's security that thin? Is the castle going to be alright?

Hendrik: Hey, hey, do not say things like that! Everyone is looking forward to the new year, I don’t think anyone is going to do bad things!

Jasper: But we are doing something bad, aren’t we?

Hendrik: Ah, yeah! Haha, you're right!

Jasper: [sigh] ...Is it really a good idea to listen to this guy and disobey the King?

Hendrik: Huh? Did you say something?

Jasper: Nothing.

Hendrik: We have to go through the shopping district to get to your house, right?

Jasper: Uh huh.

Hendrik: Then, which way do we go? Left? Right? Hey, Jasper… Jasper? Hey!

  Hendrik: Jasper? What happened? You walked off suddenly.

Jasper: This shop…

Hendrik: The general shop? Did something catch your eye?

Jasper: I saw that brooch… the one that looks like a flower.

Hendrik: Which one?

  Hendrik: ...Woah! That is really pretty! The glass is shining all kinds of colours…

Jasper: I want to give it to my mother…

Hendrik: Oh! That is a great idea, Jasper!

Jasper: ...But I cannot.

Hendrik: Huh? Why?

Jasper: Do you have money?

Hendrik: I don't.

Jasper: Me neither.

[Silence.]

Hendrik: W-well, Jasper, it is too early to give up now! My father said that you cannot buy someone's feelings with money! So we should get a sincere gift from your heart for your mother!

Jasper: ...Really?

Hendrik: Yeah! My father would never lie!

  Jasper: ...But what should I get her?

Hendrik: Hmm… What do you think would make your mother really happy?

Jasper: ...She likes flowers. She used to grow a lot of flowers in the garden.

Hendrik: ...Flowers, huh?

Jasper: But it’s snowing now, so that is going to be hard…

Hendrik: Wait… ice! That’s it! Ice!

Jasper: Ice? What is this all of a sudden?

Hendrik: We could get some ice as a gift! But not just any ice… Ice with flower petals in it!

Jasper: Ice with… petals?

  Hendrik: Yeah! One time my older sister had a cold, so I went to pick a flower for her so she would get well quickly. But all the flowers were wilted since it was cold like today, so I took some of the ice petals that I found in town.

Jasper: Did she like it?

Hendrik: She loved it! It was like a jewel. We got really sad when it started melting, so I promised her... that I will find another next winter…

Jasper: ...Hendrik.

Hendrik: I promised…

Jasper: What happened to her…?

  Hendrik: ...When Zwaardsrust was attacked that night, my whole family died.

Jasper: ...I didn’t know that.

Hendrik: ...That is alright. Even until now I think and cry about wanting to see my family and be with them… every day. But my father told me to live, and I was saved. So I have to live. If I am here, someday I will be needed by someone.

Jasper: ...I wonder if that will happen to me too. If someone needs me…

Hendrik: Hahaha! What are you saying? Now is that time! Your mother is waiting for you to come home!

Jasper: ...You are right.

  Hendrik: Yeah! That is right!

Jasper: ...Hendrik, will you help me look for these ice petals?

Hendrik: Of course I will! Why don't you tell me where ice tends to form here! I am not too familiar with this place.

Jasper: Okay! We’re going to find it before the sun sets!

Hendrik: Yeah!

  Hendrik: Jasper! Did you find anything?

Jasper: No… I haven’t.

  "Jasper and I ran around the central town trying to look for these ice petals. The town was much bigger and more maze-like than I thought."

  Hendrik: Let’s search around this pond!

Jasper: Hendrik, be careful!

Hendrik: Waah!

[Splash!]

Hendrik: So cold!

Jasper: You idiot! Watch where you're going－ ah!

[Splash!]

  "Time passed, and before I knew, the sun was starting to set. It was starting to get colder, and snow began to fall."

  Jasper: This is bad… it’s snowing.

Hendrik: Not yet… we cannot give up yet! If we look really hard, we’ll find it for sure!

Jasper: The fountain… let’s look for it at the fountain in the middle of town.

  "We kept going and never gave up. Then…"

  Hendrik: Ah! Jasper! Jasper, look!

Jasper: Did you find it!?

Hendrik: Over there, look!

Jasper: Where!?

  Hendrik & Jasper: WE FOUND IT!

Jasper: We did it! We did it!

Hendrik: Jasper, this is great!

Jasper: Wow, it is even prettier than the brooch!

Hendrik: Yeah! This will make the perfect gift!

Hendrik & Jasper: WE DID IT! Hahahaha!!

  Jasper: Ah… ahem! Ice is a weird gift, but this is not so bad.

Hendrik: Wow… you're really lying to yourself.

Jasper: Sh-shut up! A knight should not be laughing so loud and should be dignified at all times.

Hendrik: Saying such a thing while we're soaking wet does not make you look cool! Ahahaha!

Jasper: ...Hendrik.

Hendrik: I’m kidding! Don’t give me that face.

Jasper: No, it isn’t that… I have always been mean to you. That time when you stood up against those guys who were saying bad things about me… thank you. And I’m really sorry about what I said about Drustinians being crybabies…

  Hendrik: Hey, enough about that… we’re friends now, are we not?

Jasper: ...Friends?

Hendrik: ...Aren’t we?

Jasper: …

Hendrik: Did… did I do something wrong?

Jasper: ...Yeah. We are friends.

Hendrik: Hahaha! Yeah! Friends! We're friends!

Jasper: Sh-shut up, you’re so loud! Saying things like that, so embarrassing!

Hendrik: Ahaha!

Jasper: ...Heh.

Hendrik & Jasper: Hahahaha!

  Hendrik: Phew… Now then! Since we found the ice, let us go to your mother's place! We’ll get there before the day ends if we make a move now!

Jasper: ...Mm.

Hendrik: ...What is wrong? We're getting there soon.

Jasper: I feel like there is something off all of a sudden. Would she really like it....?

Hendrik: Hmph!

[Hendrik hits Jasper.]

Jasper: Ow!! Why did you do that!?

Hendrik: We’ve gotten all the way here, do not say things like that! Do not worry! Let us hurry before the ice melts, Jasper!

Jasper : ...Yeah! You’re right.

  Hendrik: Jasper, are we there yet?

Jasper: As soon as we get out of this street. Keep walking.

Hendrik: Yeah, yeah… by the way, I do not really feel that cold anymore. Haha! Jasper, there’s snow on your head.

Jasper: Be a little more patient, will you? We have warm dumplings and the maids always give me a blanket. I think she’d be upset that I snuck out of the castle… but if I ask my mother, she will always make me warm cocoa. Drinking it always warms you up.

Hendrik: Really!? Wow, I can barely wait now! Hurry, Jasper!

Jasper: Hey! Don't run down the street!

Hendrik: It’s right around the corner, isn't it? Whoever reaches first wins!

Jasper: You fool! I will be the first one to see my mother, of course! That’s right, if you go through this corner, then here’s my－...

  Jasper: ...Huh?

  Hendrik: ...Jasper, is this your home…? There is… nothing here.

Jasper: ...That is impossible.

Hendrik: Ah… ah, that’s right, you have not been home in a while! Maybe you got the wrong home.

Jasper: ...Yeah, that might be it. But… my house…

Old Man: Hey, you two. What are you doing here?

Jasper: Ah…

Old Man: ...Are you picking something up from here?

Jasper: N-no, I… I am returning home.

Old Man: I see…

  Old Man: If that's the case, you should go quick. The noblewoman who lived here died of an illness.

Hendrik: ...Died?

Old Man: Yes… It happened a few years ago. Her maid and doctor were afraid of her illness, and no one was left to take care of her. She soon died alone, calling the name of her son who had been living away from her at the castle. What a sad story…

  [Footsteps－the boys walking back to the castle.]

  Hendrik: [sobbing]

Jasper: ...Why are you crying? This has nothing to do with you.

Hendrik: [sob] Because… because you’re not crying.

Jasper: ...Huh?

Hendrik: That is the saddest thing I have heard… and you are not crying, so… I cry.

Jasper: ...Why?

Hendrik: Because… we’re friends.

Jasper: What…? Stop saying such silly things－

  Jasper: Ugh… [wailing]

  Jasper: Mother… MOTHER!

  "Jasper and I cried as we made our way back to the castle. It fell quiet as the snow absorbed our wails. I did not know how long it took us to get back, but we were tired from crying, and our voices were hoarse. It was night time when we reached the castle. In front of the large gate, there was a torch that gradually grew bigger as it approached us… it was the King who was there to bring us back in…."

  Carnelian: Hendrik… Jasper…

Hendrik: ...Your Majesty.

Jasper: Please… forgive us.

Hendrik: Sorry.

Carnelian: Let me see your faces… I believe I must apologise to the both of you. Did you go and see your mother, Jasper?

Jasper: ...Yes.

Carnelian: …When I took you into the castle, your mother told me. She did not have much longer to live. She did not want her death to be a distraction to you. You were about to be all alone in this world, because she had to go.

Jasper: ...Yes.

Carnelian: She told me that until you grew up into a knight, her death must be kept secret from you.

Jasper: Mother…

Carnelian: ...I must apologise, Jasper. It must have hurt you just as it pains me to do so.

Jasper: … [sob]

Carnelian: And you, Hendrik… you really did your best for your friend, didn't you?

  "The King hugged us both and stayed until we stopped crying. The warm feeling felt like when my father took me into his arms, just like I remember it to be."

  "Jasper was called by the King into another room to talk about whether he would want to stay in the castle, or go live with a distant relative. I went back to the apprentices' dorm, and went to lay down. Even though I was exhausted, I could not sleep as it was too dark, and the moon did not shine."

  Hendrik: That dream again…

  "Hey, Hendrik… are you awake?"

  Hendrik: Jasper… is everything okay?

Jasper: Hmph. Nothing to worry about.

I‘m loving falcon and winter soldier so much but when i was watching an episode the week before last week (?) my laptop broke😭😭😭😭 during the scene where the dora milaje came at the end my laptop just shut down? i used to be one of the people who‘d just do motherlode motherlode motherlode and just... what did i do? Why did i do that??? But not anymore lol. So my sims just don‘t age 💀 but i could (should) turn aging on so that it stays exciting and i have limited time and everything. and once i get bored with my current sims i can just make them have kids and continue playing as their children when they get older- like recently i remembered that i haven‘t played the acting career in ages? and i haven‘t had a shop in ages? and i think you can even become a vet right??? like those are definitely some things i want to do in the next weeks!!! Also yes sksksjs i have a few hundred hours on sims as well (if not thousands 😭) it was just that one household that i‘d been playing with for 24hrs
