Once upon a time, in a small suburban town, there lived a man named Xander. He worked tirelessly at a job he found rather mundane, eagerly awaiting the moment he could finally unwind at home. One fateful evening, Xander's long day at work came to an end, and he hurriedly made his way back to his cozy abode.

As Xander stepped through the front door, he let out a contented sigh, feeling the weight of the day gradually lifting off his shoulders. Kicking off his shoes, he relished the feeling of freedom and comfort that flooded over him. Little did he know, an unexpected visitor awaited him within the confines of his home.

Just as Xander took off his work clothes and was about to settle down on his couch to relax, a rustling sound caught his attention. Curiosity piqued, he turned to investigate, only to be greeted by the sight of a gigantic python slithering its way across the living room floor. Time seemed to freeze as Xander's eyes widened in disbelief.

Fear gripped Xander's heart, but curiosity had a way of overpowering his rationality. He found himself unable to tear his gaze away from the mesmerizing movements of the python. Its eyes, gleaming with an otherworldly intensity, seemed to hold him captive, drawing him closer with every passing second.

As the python gracefully coiled around Xander's legs, a wave of questions flooded his mind. "What are you doing here? How did you even get inside?" Xander's voice trembled with a mix of fear and fascination.

The python, seemingly amused by Xander's inquiries, continued its hypnotic dance. Its scales shimmered in the dim light, casting an eerie glow across the room. Slowly and methodically, it began to wrap itself around Xander, squeezing gently yet firmly.

Unable to resist the python's mesmerizing gaze, Xander found himself succumbing to its hypnotic power. The questions that escaped his lips became increasingly nonsensical as the snake's grip tightened. "Hey, how long will I be like this for?"

With each question, Xander's voice grew weaker as the python's coils constricted around him. The world around him began to fade away, replaced by a surreal darkness. The python had successfully ensnared him in its hypnotic trap.

And so, the tale of Xander and the python came to a mysterious and enigmatic end. Whether he would ever break free from the snake's hypnotic hold or remain trapped within its coils forever would forever remain a mystery. The only thing certain was that Xander's evening took an unexpected turn, leaving him to ponder the strange and inexplicable nature of his encounter with the python.

Christmas Prompts 23 ' Day 31 Wrapped Up

She sighs as she unwraps the lights from the tree. The ornaments are placed in their boxes, packed away until next year.  Jamie is getting the outside lights. New Years Day and Christmas is being put away.

 

It is a bittersweet time. She will be happy to have her living room back but sad to see this time of year over.

 

She smiles at recalling Bree and Roger Mac ‘s present to them. A grandbaby is coming! That is something to look forward to.

 

She wraps the lights around the tube and places them in the storage bin by the other decorations. Jamie walks back in.

 

“All ready to be taken down?”

 

“Yes.” He hears it in her voice and wraps his arms around her.

 

“Next year, there will be a stocking hung for our baby’s baby. Presents under the tree for him or her. A tiny baby in all the Christmas photos.”

 

She laughs. “How  wonderful that will be!”

 

She helps him remove the tree from its stand and carry it out.
