     now, growing up, joey did not get a lot of his own new clothes if any. for the most part, he got grant's hand-me-downs that were oversized for his smaller body, so he looked like he was wearing a parachute a lot of the time and frequently tripped on the legs of pants that were too long. being his own person now and buying his own clothes, he is very picky about fit. now, joey will only buy things that are cut well and show his frame. so think slim cut, fun patterned, button-up short sleeve shirts that he most definitely cuffs the sleeves on. on the bottom, a straight or slim cut pair of pants or shorts (above the knee most definitely). he's also not opposed to buying a pair of ripped jeans accompanied by a designer tee here and there. basically what everyone else in cali wears these days.      overall though, joey's clothing style is relatively simple, but flattering. he doesn't like to stick out, but he also knows he’s attractive to some degree and wants to show that off (a bit of a himbo like his bro). being mostly in california, his civilian clothes don't include any heavy winter attire, but for warmth on those cooler days, he's all about layering a flannel or denim jacket over a hoodie. he rarely wears anything but sneakers, unless it's a particularly hot day or he's taking a day trip to the beach. but otherwise, he's got an assortment of worn, seen-better-days shoes and a single pair of "nice shoes" that he might wear on a date.      as for his walk, starting life in a household with two military parents, the concept of walking with purpose and with proper posture was instilled. as such, joey learned to "stand tall and lean back," never slouching in his walk as he was told it made him appear weak. similarly, he was instructed to walk with purpose, meaning, walk as if you have somewhere to be -- never slowly and never meandering, otherwise that portrays laziness. so this influenced the way he walked and held himself for some time.      however, the poise and perfection of it lessened as years went on. after losing his ability to speak, joey lost confidence in himself, which resulted in trying to make himself look smaller by shrinking his form while walking, and giving way to people that he could no longer say "excuse me" to. this, of course, improved over time as he learned asl and other skills through his mother's training. this gave joey a new sense of confidence which in turn helped him to stand a little taller again. All in all, he continues to walk tall and confident to this day, but with less seriousness. being away from his parents give him the luxury of relaxing a bit.
