Redoing the roleswap versions of the Chronicler's Company, because the old versions looked kinda eh, also I was going through my "put glowing hole-fillers in everything" and "Studio's photoreal scratches look good actually" phases at the time, so they look weird and a bit cluttered.

Also I took a little bit of artistic license with Hafu's design to give him a different mask. I'm not making them the same

For the roleswap au, do you think having Mud as a mentor would have made Wrenpaw a better person, if that makes any sense? Also, what do you think Wrenpaw and Mud's warrior names would be?

Hmmm... you know, I’m not sure! I think there’s potential for Wren to turn out Less Bad, but honestly, he would have to do a lot of introspection and do some adjusting to his worldview.. and he’s kinda allergic to self-reflection, so idk!! I think, given the proper circumstances, he could grow enough as a character to turn out better. But I think there’s equal probability of him being too bull-headed to change his mind about things.

And in that AU, I don’t see why Wrenpaw would end up with anything other than Wrentail, but I think mentor!Mudpaw would maybe have a name like Mudpelt or Mudclaw cause he’s Just Some Guy and hasnt had the angsty apprenticeship that he has in canon mudlore. He’s just a dude tryina live his life and he gets saddled with teaching The Worst Teen Ever

Welcome to Tristan Wren Appreciation Week 2021!

This challenge was started and created a while ago, but wasn’t very public the first time so it’s been sitting off to the side until this year when we decided to blow the dust off of it!  It was much more informal last time and unpublicized, but this year we wanted to make it more official and hopefully spread it even more.

The challenge starts on June 6, 2021, and will run until June 12, 2021.

The main requirement is that your work must center on Tristan Wren in some way.  Feel free to include angst or fluff, and feel free to make anything: art, fic, or even edits!  If you tag us in your post, we’d love to see it!  If you use the tags #TWAW and #TWAW2021, that’d be great too!  We’ll have an AO3 collection up soon.

For AUs, either a soulmate AU, or a roleswap AU?

Soulmate AU

➼ Wren’s soulmate is either Quinn or Randy. Which is why there’s an AU for each. 

➼ Wren’s soulmate would be someone that can balance her (pun totally intended), or that can complete her where it’s needed where they’re opposites. Randy and Quinn are both capable of it. 

➼ Blair and Leonard being soulmates (which I’m tempted to make canon) consists of the warm vs cold, because she’s a warm and comforting person and he’s cold and distant. Plus he’s Captain Cold. 

➼ There needs to be a matching tattoo somewhere, and it’s probably going to be Wren and Quinn, and I’m here for it. 

➼ The absolute fact that while fighting, Leonard and Blair work together so smoothly, people wonder if they’ve done it all their lives. They know the moves, they are fluid, and have absolutely fought back to back and are concise in their movements. 

➼ They know each other like the back of their hand, no matter what pairing or fandom. A friend suggesting getting something for them? Quinn or Leonard immediately shooting it down without hesitation because they just know.

Roleswap AU

➼ This would consist of Wren, Whitney, Rowan, and either Mel, Jane, or Randy (probably Randy based on a certain commission I’m getting...but a huge case can be made for Ivy and Mel) taking the roles in Eden’s Gate. Wren as Baptist, Whit as the Mother Father, and Rowan as the Soldier taking Jacob’s role. 

➼ They’re more dangerous because they’re not as outwardly aggressive, Hope County didn’t really see them coming. Everything was on the downlow in the beginning. By the time the Reaping happens, Hope County is taken by surprise. 

➼ John and the others would probably die. I don’t see Wren and John becoming a thing in this verse. Quinn and Grayson would show up in Hope County though, and probably join, making Grayson the Judge and Quinn would just be the husband of the Baptist. 

➼ Blair would probably go with a cold pun name like...Storm or Snow Storm (which is their ship name, that makes me laugh), or something fun. 

➼ Her crime partner would be Killer Frost, teaming up as the Snow Twins would be awesome (which they team up anyway, but both with cold powers, it’s more fun that way). Depending on if she kept her powers or not. I’m guessing her and Leonard also switched powers, and that’s how I’m assuming it (because that would be funny for me). 

➼ Blair is more flirty, more smooth, and more taunting. She tries to capture Leonard a few times. She has dry humor, is super sarcastic, and smirks a lot...a lot. 

➼ Okay, but Leonard using his powers to show her an energy manifestation of a nebula and stars (because Blair could totally do that normally), and it melts that cold heart. 

➼ They still end up together, because no matter what, Leonard and Blair were meant to be together. 

➼ Blair also loves to put ice down to make people trip, ices coffee for fun, and has turned a room in S.T.A.R. Labs into a skating rink when she goes “good”.
