daily reminder that if you HAVE A PLOT IDEA, A PLOT TWIST THAT COMES IN THE FUTURE, DIALOGUE YOU WANT TO WRITE, or ANY SCENE, whether it be a LINE or ONE WORD, WRITE IT DOWN.
this is your sign to write and enter your book again, even if it's contributing a single word for your draft.
JUST DO IT, OKAY. ramble if you even have to. <3
(ps. let me know what you wrote hehe)

brain: i have never once heard a single word ever in my life, especially the one you're looking for.
brain: also what is this grammar thing you keep harping on about?

Me rn making the most heart-shattering, soul-crushing, sob-inducing backstory for a character, all while meticulously plotting an even more emotionally devastating future for them:

Fun fact! Apparently if you have a big enough selection of fics on AO3 you can crash its ability to change the viewing status from "private" to "what the hell, the AI bots have already stolen everything"

Today I was walking down memory lane on a friend server, back to when I was writing Contempt, and...I remember how hard of a time I had with it, but really seeing how much I'd fretted over it...wow! Makes me feel all the more accomplished, that I overcame all of the stress and insecurity and various other upsets. I'll share a few snippets I found!
Maybe I'd've been less stressed had I started at a decent time...(never did finish that Daddy wip LOL.)
I also really thought people were going to hate it.
I have insomnia so if I say I'm sleep deprived I must have been pretty dang sleep deprived.
Wow, I was really overthinking it, wasn't I? 😂
Inspo!
Time crunch!
Me looking on the bright side, per usual.
Aaaaand...
Funny I wasn't even halfway done by this point
Also...
Anyway this is all embarrassing and idk why I'm sharing but...😂 It's a fun look back. And maybe it will be good for other creators who are prone to pulling their hair out over a work. You're not alone! Also: shoutout to my friends for witnessing my multiple meltdowns. I don't know how I'd've finished that fic without their love and support.

I want a gifted fic. Something specifically written for me that I get to open up like a present and read, but without having to write it myself.

There is nothing more frustrating than both Tumblr and Discord going quiet when I'm trying so hard to procrastinate writing.

person: see you have only two options
person *points one way*: option A – write against lack of motivation and do something with your life! of course, this takes hard work and patience
person *points other way*: option B – don't write but STOP COMPLAINING our ears are sore just give up and stop getting melodramatic about it

Why are my stories good until I write them?
Why couldn’t they stay perfect ideas that I could just dream-fast with others like a gelfling?

i think trying to fall back in love with your own writing hurts more than falling out of it - because you realize what you had and you're trying to get it back, but it's not coming together sometimes

Had a cool idea for a character/arc, and im mad that if i write it down Ill lose the sparkle but i doubt Ill remember it.
I just need to accept and work with the fact that im more of a pantser/gardener than Id like. Planning sounds so good and organized though! But if I start writing things down, its like the magic drains out of the words (as does the dopamine) and oh look another brief outline of a story Ill never write.

Ao3 posting etiquette question i guess?
For a bunch of reasons, I don’t post WIP. After a piece is completely finished and edited I’m willing to post or share it, but not during production. And I tend to write long. So the last time I put something up on Ao3 I put it up as one long, finished piece, and I received a note telling me that it was too long and i should have put it up in shorter sections. So i turn to y’all because I’m not sure about this: if it’s an accessibility or readability issue (or even if it’s just courteous to do it) of course I’m willing to post the finished piece in smaller sections, but if it was just that one person I won’t bother, as I am less-than-expert with the Ao3 posting interface. Thoughts and advice are welcome and appreciated; thank you kindly!

I don’t want to be a creator that uploads a new ‘chapter’ on ao3 that just turns out to be an announcement about why I’m not posting so here you go:
I know that I made a commitment to a posting schedule for “Synchronicity” but the chapter won’t be up on time this week.
Recently, I had a great idea for an original romance novel. Writing and publishing my original work has always been my dream so I am going where the creative flow takes me :)

I finally finished a somewhat detailed cottagecore/Farmcore list of Food, Outfits, Furniture, Animals, and witch stuff for a fanfic I might never write.
