if the eye is the window to the soul, then writing is the thought of the soul. When i read a book i can feel the author's mind inside it, like a living person trapped in the pages, moving through the words. i want to trap myself in a story. i want to lay down my worries and hopes for someone else to see.

I like to have a notebook and pencils next to my laptop on a table when working. I used to have a messy desk believe it or not. If anyone has kids that go to school, the amount of papers they bring home is overwhelming. 😬 I got rid of my messy desk by making a whole lot of changes and having a place for everything. Is your writing space messy or clean? Do you need things organized? 𝗦𝗡𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗧 Here's a snippet about my main character Neve cleaning her desk: The mess on my desk would have been no problem if not for the fact that cleaning it would take time away from my busy schedule. I buried my face in my hands. How did I let it get this bad? Papers were scattered everywhere, pens were haphazardly strewn across the surface with a half-eaten sandwich left to mold in the corner. I had been so busy with royal duties and affairs that I hadn't had a chance to tidy up in weeks. Dr. Chen actually called me back! We spent an hour on the phone. I have learned so much from him, he is one of the most amazing human beings I have ever met. He told me about the baby that was just born without an anus. Now everything makes sense. It's all come into focus. Thank you, Dr. Chen, because now I understand how it is that I can sob for twenty minutes in my mother's arms at your clinic begging you to perform surgery on me again, and that please let me take the risk, and more sobbing, and that I'd rather die, and more sobbing, and that, please, please try again, so I can live, and more sobbing, and that you can look me straight in my eyes, emotionless, with a blank expression, after two years of trying, and say, "No."

Because besides dealing with me, your job is also to sit down with new mothers and fathers and try to explain why it is that their newborn baby doesn't have an anus.

I guess I'll go take a shit now.

Today I finished rewriting a big portion of one of my projects and I am really happy with the way it turned out. I am honestly so excited for it to be yours soon! This feels so great, i cannot believe i get to do this everyday! Worked on total of three projects today and I could have gone on but I always stop working when I have just a little bit of an idea left in me. It helps me get up in the morning and be excited to work. Tomorrow is everyone's weekend and I usually take a minimum of 2 hours with the family. But my off days are not decided. I take them every two or three weeks. So tomorrow is going to be a work day for me. But for now, that's all folks! Good night! P.s.
