I was so certain that Jon was going to offhandedly, thought-you-knew mention to Georgie and Melanie that the tunnels were Georgie's domain and it was going to spark a huge rift. Melanie is forced to reexamine the pedestal she hoisted Georgie on to. Georgie is forced to come to terms with how shes not immune to consequences of her choices, which include refusal to engage. and in true magnus archive fashion they would spend like five episodes blaming all of the above plus their divorce on Jon before reuniting under better circumstances than "I know we just moved in together but i violently blinded myself, can you convince these doctors not to institutionalize me and also accept my full financial and medical responsibility?" I'm always taken aback by how few fics if any speculate on how badly wtgf need to fall apart, take a break, and reunite

Don't @ me with any "but Georgie is fearless tho, there was no domain" like her whole schtick wasn't proclaiming she's removed from a situation she's neck deep in and judging other's attempts to be proactive. Like she was somehow exempt from the fear economy when monsters were waiting for the most dramatic moment to abduct her group in front of her right when she’d convinced them they were safe, really maximize the emotional whiplash. Jude was p far removed from her sense of fear when Jon rolled up, too, doesn't mean she wasn't contributing to the food chain. Only real difference is Georgie doesn't have an internal fear barometer to reference.
