summary: Thala Galanis, now a daughter of the sea, seeks revenge on those who stole the shore from her.

excerpt: Blood really is the most beautiful shade of red, isn’t it?  

The metallic tang of it lingered in the air and on my tongue. I raised my hand to the dying sun, inspecting the carmine stain covering my fingers and dripping down my arm. It billowed in the sea around me, bright and sanguine and breathtaking. I was practically bathing in it.

Sunlight glimmered off of my hand, the blood glistening in the last vestiges of day, and for the first time in a long time, I smiled.  

Really, truly smiled.

Plucked from her well-paying job in the city to play nurse to the son of a wealthy ship owner, Eden Ojo finds herself ensnared in the world of old money, and the trail of deceit, destruction and death left in its wake.

Sequestered in the countryside with the increasingly hostile family, she will uncover secrets that may be better left buried. No one is who they say they are. But that’s fine.

Neither is she.

BLURB ||

The Nine Divine are the ruling forces of this world. Gods and Goddesses walking the very soil they rule over. But as with any divinity and ruling pantheon, they have a limited idea of the consequences their actions have.

It is their naive belief that gives ground for a war to end all life. For the Divine has forgotten about their own, imprisoned and famished. And as they lay waste, spearheading an army far more powerful than any before them, the remaining Divine scramble to find an end.

And in the midst of this war stands two boys, no older than twenty. Destined for something far darker than death.

SUMMARY ||

Nel, the High Mage’s son, is brought into a world of intrigue when the royal hostage arrives at the repurposed palace. Old friends turn their backs as new finds their way into his life.

When magick tastes foul in mage’s mouths and fugitives cross the Shallow sea it becomes clear that the world has long been at war with an unknown force that has seemingly walked out of the shadows and steadily makes its way to the Empire of Velane. Nel is forced to face the darkness head on when the fates puts him in its way and the Nine Divine reemerge to walk the earth once more. Called to action by the horn of war.

Sitting next to the lake and i saw and eagle fly over twice and i had never seen an eagle in the wild before. (I previously have worked with exotic animals at @wwaystation but seeing an eagle fly in person is just mind blowing)

2020 Nano WIP intro

The end of the world began not far from the Northern Selkie’s home. It began as disease and sickness that became death that became an un-death. Where the refugees of the village fled, they were met with disbelief that became fear and understanding as they, too, were faced with their rising dead. Soon, all life on the continents were crowded together in pockets of safety, and any sign of illness was met with quick exile.

Sigrun carries a secret with her along with her pelt; she was the one that woke the forgotten goddess’s champion that marched at the head of their death. Now faced with the apocalypse, she feels it only right that it should be her hand that ends this. But how is an immortal champion of the Goddess of Death supposed to be stopped?

And what is she supposed to do when it increasingly seems the Goddess is right in her anger?

Stygian Dreams and Red Sparrows follows the experiences of Kellan Marlow and Koltn Bishop. Two people who meet for the first time two days out from the planet Hozanov and the archeology site both their ship are aiming for. This post will give a simple presentation of them and their closest relationship.

Kellan Marlow ,, a Diosephyrian Republic citizen, orphaned, 24 year old scavanger wanted for a number of crimes in the solarsystem, runs with the Red Sparrow crew and adores her Captain. She is a closeted lesbian with a fear of intimacy which means she often keep people at an arms length. Kellan carries a lot of resentment in her soul toward her mother and estranged father since she  learned that she has a twin brother she was separated from at birth.

Ascian Kane ,, a Diosephyrian Republic citizen 24 years of age, being born to the wealthiest man in the Republic has proved it difficult to stay missing. Landing the job as Communications Operator on the Red Sparrow was his salvation and he owes Captain Vega more than she knows. Because on the Red Sparrow he found the twin he had been seperated from since birth, the piece that had been missing for all those years. They are not on speaking terms.

Koltn Bishop ,, an illegal immigrant from the Tetrarchy of Anthousa currently serving in the Diosephyrian Republic’s military onboard the notorious Nereus as part of the Stygian Task Force. He is the kind of person that observes, mimick and excel without making much noise. Hiding secrets behind a calm facade and great remarks. He outdo himself in any and all tasks so that he doesn’t have to think about all of those things he wish to keep hidden. It has made him an excellent soldier, following orders, performing well without complaint. 

Manon Merka ,, a legal immigrant from the Monarchy of Dreyden, child to political refugees and a natural when it comes to weaponry. Manon is a person who is great at figuring people out, either by observing or talking to them, not that she speaks much. Though it might be for the best, Manon lacks a filter and says what she thinks. She disrespects the hierarchy of ranks and will only use titles if warned or she respects the higher ranking officer. She is absolutely livid about the Nereus’ Captain.
