Hollow Knight got me into gaming

Ori and the Blind Forest made me fall in love with gaming

Celeste made me good at gaming

Undertale inspired me to make a game of my own

and i think this was a beautiful journey that i had the privilege of taking, especially so early in my life

by creating Wyrd, I want to give back all these emotions and experiences that are so dear to my heart to others, and if even one person feels the joy i have felt in the art of gaming by playing my game, it will have been worth it.

Im new to Darkest Dungeon, where did everyone get the idea that Tardif bakes from

it's from this irrational bark!

obv the nature of the game means that this doesn't 100% confirm that tardif bakes (irrational barks in particular are always a little suspect), it could mean that he only thinks he'd be good at it.

personally i think it's a cute character detail that suits him <3 patience, attention to detail, and a keen eye are the traits of both a fine baker and a ferocious bounty hunter

Controversial opinion. I think that the flagellant is castrated. I’m sorry everyone who is horny about him but I just know in my heart of hearts he removed those suckers after he got into the suffering for the light grind.

if you think the flagellant potentially being castrated will stop DD fans from being horny about him, you have grossly underestimated this fine community.

lately ive been thinking a lot about how difficult sarmenti’s canon backstory, specifically, is to adapt to a modern au. it’s not difficult in the sense that you can’t easily paste it onto a modern setting, but difficult in the sense that you run the risk of writing something EXTREMELY distasteful if you stay too true to the character/canon. but on the flip side, if you water down this event too much in an attempt to make it more palatable, you run the risk of sacrificing a HUGE part of what makes sarmenti’s character interesting. there are just not a lot of digestible ways to adapt an act of mass murder that takes place in a government institution 

#like you COULD do it pretty easily but damn. you'd need some serious brass balls #erm also if i need to specifically tag darker stuff like this lmk please #wyrdposting

glad to hear i'm not the only one who has fun giving heroes odd small quirks or small physical abilities or disabilities no one would think twice about. want to share some more maybe?

also, that story didn't in any way shape, or form dismisses him being lactose intolerant. i wouldn't put it above him to spin an elaborate tale to cover it.

sure! here's a small handful:

in addition to adulthood lactose intolerance, dismas has seasonal pollen allergies and chronic insomnia

reynauld has mild dyscalculia that's made worse when he's under stress. he has a strong sweet-tooth and can't wink

sarmenti has hypermobility (commonly known as being double-jointed), which causes him regular joint pain

alhazred has frequent and intense night terrors that make him a very difficult person to room with

audrey experiences chronic migraines. they happen less frequently than when she was married, but they happen often enough to be a nuisance
