synopsis: When your precint found out about your relationship with Amy, suddenly the best place in the world turned into a gossip den.

warnings: little bit of angst.

You spent exactly forty-three seconds on the elevator. The worst forty-three seconds of your entire live. No one talked to you, but you heard the giggles. The whisperings. You could felt their gaze burning your back. Their thoughts were so fucking loud.

You knew that if Amy was there no one would dare make a single noise. They wouldn't have the courage. But it's only you, and you're not a sargent.

Out of that metal box, the weigh of the world were on your shoulders. It's been like that the whole week. They act like they didn't knew you. Like they didn't spend every single day working with you before. You feel like an animal on an zoo.

You went straight to the bathroom, almost running towards it. "Hey!" You heard Terry, but you didn't turn. You didn't want to be seen crying.

People look at you like you had commited an crime. Or worse, they look at you like you're with Amy because of your job. Like you're trying to fuck your way to the top. People look at you like they weren't your friends last week.

"Baby?" Of course Amy is there. Terry and that big fucking mouth. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yes", you tried to answer her. "I'm fine."

She didn't answer you. For a few seconds, nothing happened. "We're alone", Amy told you. Not a request, not a plea, just a confirmation that nothing you did would embarrassed yourself. It was all you could wish to hear.

"They judge me like they know a damn thing about me and you." You tried to stop crying, alone on another box. The difference is that this time it smeels bad. "I don't know if I can take this."

"People throw rocks at things that shine." Amy made you laugh. It was so sweet, sometimes you forget that she also love those kinda of cheesy sentences. "I'm here with you. We against the world, right?"

You unlocked the door. "What if nothing change? I think my job will be..."

"No one will make anything to you." Amy hold you closer. "We aren't prohibited from dating. We did nothing wrong, and Captain Holt know that. Your job will stay as it is."

"I don't know, is just.. Life makes love look hard."

"Sometimes it will be, but I'm here. I'll fight their doubt and give you faith. I'll be right here."

"I love you."

"Of course you do." Amy hugged you. "And I love you too."
