A/N Y'all, I'm lowkey dying from the requests. I'm sorry for the last five or so taking so long, I just need a little break and mix in some of my own ideas if that is okay.
Tumblr media
Alastor was drinking at the bar with Husk, Charlie, and Angel. The day had been a lot, seeing Mimzy was always a lot. Yes she was trouble, but Alastor loved her. He loved her for the same reason he was trying to drink himself stupid at the bar. He loved her because she reminded him of Y/n. Mimzy had been her friend first, after all.
He sat off to the side in his own little world while Angel and Charlie chatted and Husk obediently poured the drinks. Normally, Husk would have joined the pair in the mindless, mundane chatter but after the events of the day, Alastor's presence kept him silent.
"No way!" Charlie exclaimed.
She and Angel were talking about some TV show they both watched or another. A mind numbingly boring background noise but, Alastor wasn't complaining.
"Yes! They are one hundred percent perfect for each other." Angel replied animatedly.
"Literally how. Name one thing that shows they have good chemistry."
"Uh, they’re constantly at each other's throats? If that's not love, I don't know what is."
"Angel?"
"Yeah?"
"You don't know what love is."
Husk let out a short, sharp laugh as he topped off Angel's drink.
"Oh yeah? Well then, Princess, what do you think love is."
Charlie sighed, leaning her elbow on the counter as a dreamy look spread across her face.
"Love is... love is when you would do anything for the person. It's when they're your guiding star, your... your prayers answered."
"Uh, no? Love is when you want to literally kill the person but like, in a good way."
"Angel, what does that even mean." Charlie laughed.
"It means... it means there is passion. That spark everyone always talks about? It's violence."
"Hey Al!" Charlie suddenly called, leaning back in her seat to peer at Alastor behind Angel's back, "Who's right, me or Angel?"
Alastor looked up from his glass.
"I hate to say it, but neither of you are correct." he sighed in irritation at having been disturbed, "Love is neither a constant fight nor a blind devotion, though it contains aspects of both."
"Like you know anything about love, mister fancy talk creepy voice." Angel scoffed, turning to face Alastor as well now.
"Actually, I do."
Charlie's face lit up. She practically vibrated with anticipation.
"Alastor! You've been in love!?"
Normally, on a night like this, he'd be alone. He'd be careful to be alone, or at least have Husk as his only company. When he told Husk to shut up and pour, he listened. Other people, not so much.
"Yes."
Charlie had stars in her eyes. She inched closer to him.
"Are you gonna spill?" Angel asked after a moment.
"It was a long time ago."
Alastor took a long sip from his glass.
"Do you... do you not remember it?" Charlie asked, her excited smile slipping slightly at the notion
Maybe it was the drink. Maybe it was the long day, Lucifer, Mimzy, Husk. Those shark demons. Maybe it was just that secretly all along, he had wanted someone to talk to. He watched the liquor in his glass as he swirled it gently.
"It was a long time ago, but I still remember it." his smile softened as he spoke, "It's strange. I remember her laughter, her little quixotic tendencies. I remember the way her eyes would light up when she smiled and the way her perfume smelled. I know her favorite author, the way she took her coffee, the way she folded her clothes but, I can't seem to ever see her face anymore. I..."
He trailed off, taking a breath.
"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." Charlie quickly said, not wanting to make Alastor uncomfortable.
Alastor shook his head.
"I've spent years not talking about her. Maybe... maybe something else would be nice."
"So, how'd you guys meet?" Charlie immediately asked.
Alastor looked up at her and let out a light chuckle. He felt like he was human again for a moment. It was odd.
"I don't know if you know this about me, but I was a radio broadcaster back when I was alive. A rather famous one at that, in New Orleans at any rate. Her family ran a restaurant near the studio that I went to get lunch at from time to time. She worked there as a server."
"And she loved you?" Angel asked, "Like, you weren't just delusional?"
"I was quite the lady's man back in my day."
"Uh-huh." Angel doubtfully replied, "Sure."
"Oh hush, Angel." Charlie shoved the spider demon slightly, "Tell us more! What was she like? Did you ever get together or were you just friends? Gah! I wanna know everything!"
"She was..." Alastor's gaze fell back to his glass, "you remind me of her in a way. She was so idealistic, so driven. So... bubbly. She worked hard and she cared deeply. I don't know how I swung her, despite my charms. We were friends for about a year. The whole time, I was trying to work up the courage to ask her out but she ended up being the one to ask me. We got married when we were in our mid twenties. I only had a few years with her as my wife before I died."
Unbidden ideas darkened the edges of his mind. Y/n had always been so good, so sweet. Alastor had no idea if she had ever learned of his... escapades. He figured she must know, considering the manner in which he died but it was a horrifying thought. He was grateful when Charlie spoke again, pulling his mind back to the present.
"Thats so cute!" Charlie exclaimed, clapping her hands as she looked between Alastor and Angel, searching for similar excitement.
"Can we meet this alleged doll of yours?" Angel asked, "Cause I am really not believing any of this bullshit your spouting."
Charlie gasped, suddenly struck by inspiration.
"Do you think she would want to be redeemed?"
"Oh dear," Alastor shook his head, meeting Charlie's eyes, "she's not here."
"Then wh-"
"She's in heaven?" Angel exclaimed, "You married someone who ended up in heaven?"
"Either that or she's over a hundred years old and still on earth." Alastor weakly joked.
"I'm sorry."
Alastor shrugged, downing the rest of his drink.
"No!" Charlie insisted, "You'll... you'll never get to see her again! That's so sad!"
"And here I thought you were trying to get us redeemed." Angel scoffed.
Charlie turned to him.
"I'm trying to get you redeemed cause you're a guest. Alastor isn't a guest."
"Right you are, my dear."
"But you could do that." Charlie said turning back to Alastor, "Angel's right, if you were a guest you could be redeemed. You could see her again!"
Alastor smiled kindly at the excited demon. He patted her back.
"I'm afraid I don't think that's an option."
"But why not!" Charlie insisted, "Anyone can be redeemed, Alastor."
"That's not the issue, my dear." he sighed, "I did some things on earth that she would most certainly view as... unfavorable shall we say? Things she most certainly learned of after my death."
"You're not even gonna give it a shot?" Angel asked.
"Yeah, come on Alastor. Let us help you. You never know how it could turn out!"
"It's alright. I have the time we spent together, the memories. I don't want to taint that." he slowly, unconsciously, raised a hand to his chest, his palm over his heart, "The love is still there, thats what matters."
The quartet fell silent as Husk poured Alastor another drink. Alastor sighed, grabbing the glass and examining it carefully, but not taking a sip.
"What was her name?" Charlie asked, her voice small and her smile long gone.
"Y/n."
It had been years since he'd said it out loud. His tongue relished every syllable.
"Her name was Y/n."

Hello!
Could you please write a Percy x Reader and The reader just randomly goes missing?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: percy jackson x gn! reader
summary: the day you go missing, percy’s world seems to crumble.
warning(s): ANGST, depictions of depression maybe?, bad coping mechanisms, cursing, kisses
a/n: THIS REQUEST IS SO SADDD :(, I tried my best though!! i left the ending ambiguous cause im a sucker for happy endings 😁‼️
part 2
Tumblr media
it was all kind of surreal to him.
yesterday was amazing. the moment he opened his eyes he was greeted with your seemingly blinding appearance at his cabin door, smiling at him widely as you said good morning to him, instantly knocking the heavy burden of waking up so early off his shoulders.
he felt light on his feet as he followed you to the mess hall to eat breakfast. breakfast that he barely even touched because he spent most of the time there trying to provoke a laugh out of you. he felt his heart when after his 7th or 8th horrible joke you gave him a unapproving look, stifling a smile as you continued to eat your breakfast.
he didn't appreciate that smile enough, he reckoned.
the day continued on with the two of you spending the day together. could you believe it? you took him to pick strawberries with you — said you wanted to make him something since his birthday was coming up soon. his heart practically lurched when you told him that.
how could someone be so sweet..?
he’d just pull you into an embrace, peppering kisses all over your face before skipping over to the fields with you in tow. hand in hand was how you two always walked — not that percy minded one bit at all.
you looked amazing picking strawberries, so focused and calculated as you observed each berry closely to see if they were ripe enough, or if a pesky insect had gotten to them before you did. percy just watched you in awe as he held the basket still for you.
you were very meticulous in the way you picked each berry. they all had to be perfect — nothing but the best for your boyfriend, that was what you said. he beamed at that mention of himself, biting back a dopey grin as the word ‘boyfriend’ reverberated in his mind.
later into the afternoon percy would be by your side as you washed and stored every strawberry in a red container. you’re so beautiful, he thinks. not that he’d ever tell you that.. he didn’t want you to laugh at him for being corny. he couldn’t help it, though.
you’re just so perfect.
“did i ever tell you I love you?”
“rats!” you snapped your fingers, a smile curling on your face. “i totally forgot to remind you to say it today.” you joked, not breaking eye contact with the strawberries as you plucked another stem off.
“ha-ha,” percy said unamused. “you’re so mean to me, would you prefer to have a boyfriend who never appreciates you?”
you placed the last strawberry down, turning to percy with a smile. “thank you, percy, i love you too.” you replied, batting your eyelashes at him.
percy frowned, his heart rate increasing as he huffed out in frustration. “your heart’s not in it.”
“my heart’s totally in it.”
“mm, i find that hard to believe.”
“what, you want me to prove that I mean it?”
percy shrugged. “well, i mean if you’re not down..”
you shot him a look, leaning forward to press a kiss to his forehead. “there, i love you, i mean it.”
“do you?” percy raised an eyebrow at you. “my mom kisses my forehead.”
“and your boo-boos?”
“I’m leaving.” percy said, attempting to get up as you fumbled to pull him back down into his seat next to you with a laugh.
“ok! sorry! i’m sorry.”
percy gave you an unamused look, heart stilling as you leaned in once more, pressing a chaste kiss to his lips as you pulled him into a gentle hug. he recognized the perfume you were wearing, something he’d bought for you on your 2nd date.
you insisted against him spending his money but, it didn’t stop him. since then you’ve worn it every single day. the sweet smelling aroma was almost burned into his brain chemistry.
he nuzzled himself into your torso, exhaling in satisfaction as the two of you sat there holding each other. and for a moment and none less, percy forgot about all his problems in the world, you always seemed to make him relax so easily.
he missed being relaxed.
Tumblr media
percy was waken to the sound of panicked knocking on his door.
he stumbled to his feet reluctantly, groggily making his way over to the door of cabin 3. why were you making so much noise this early? you never knocked so loudly.
“y’know i prefer when you knock —” percy stopped his sentence midway. it wasn’t you on his door at all, it was annabeth. a rather.. panicked annabeth. her grey eyes were blown wide and she seemed slightly alarmed.
“annabeth, what’s wrong?” percy asked, slowly but surely regaining his consciousness.
“percy..” annabeth started, a slightly solemn tone in her voice. “we have to..talk.”
the next few minutes of that conversation with annabeth went over his head as he struck with shock and denial.
just like that, after only a few weeks — weeks that he had spent by your side almost every moment as you two counted down to his inevitable birthday.
you were just..gone.
nobody understood anything about where you’d made off to, not a trace of your clothing or even your scent. it was like you were wiped off the face of the earth and the only people who knew of your existence was everyone at camp half blood.
“you’re..you guys are going to find..” percy trailed off “you have to find them.”
annabeth gave Percy a sympathetic look. “look, percy — i don’t know if mr. D will—”
“who cares what he thinks? you have to find them, they’re just as important as anyone at this camp!” he looked away. “more, even.”
“we don’t even have a clue where they are,” annabeth rationalized. “and if Mr.D is going to handle this the same way he did when I was in this situation..” she locked eyes with percy
“then, there might be no hope.”
percy’s heart pinged when she said that, a frown tugging at his face as he brought a hand to run through his hair. annabeth just stared at him silently, pulling him into a tight embrace when his shoulders started to falter, shaking slightly as tears brimmed the corners of his eyes.
the rest of week was kind of a blur to him.
fuck, he missed you so much. and the startling fact that he wasn’t sure if the feeling was ever going to go away scared him more than anything. you were right there with him yesterday — laughing and smiling at him with.
was that really the last time he was every going to get to see you?
no — he shouldn’t of even thought about that. you’re not dead, just missing. right? you have to be. he couldn’t sleep, couldn’t even get a wink of sleep all the days you were away. how the hell could anyone sleep with their own peer — strangely going missing.
he threw himself into training, wasn’t even sure why. he just..needed a distraction — at-least until he could go out and try to track you down. and when he did find you and bring you, he’d be strong enough to protect you.
it seemed like everything reminded you of him. that stupid strawberry field, your cabin which was now slightly less colorful without you around and most of all, anything vaguely sweet scent. if you closed his eyes and focused slightly he could smell the faint smell of that same godforsaken perfume you’d worn to its limits.
god, he wished he could smell that scent again.
Tumblr media
he woken up from a nightmare — a strange one, of you. the standard dream of him seeing your silhouette in the distance and him running towards it time after time again without any fail like he always did before breaking through the ground and waking up.
yet, this time, you spoke to him.
your voice, it but a mere fleeting whisper in his ear as the dream continued, spouting things about the place you were in and how you were scared. percy could barely make out you what you were saying but all he could register was the clear sound of your voice saying “i love you”.
he was completely still in his bed as he clutched his heart, blinking away tears that he hadn’t know had formed in his eyes and he tried to control his breathing, recalling the nightmare — or maybe dream, was more like it, that he’d just had.
he looked towards the door of cabin 3, bottom lip trembling slightly.
you were alive.

Lucifer x reader x Adam
note: no order
Warning: deceptions, angst, death, English is not my mother tongue
Tumblr media
You (Y/n), you were an angel, not just any angel but a seraph. You were the famous (Y/n) (L/n) angel who dated the 1st man, Adam. You experience pure happiness, even if sometimes you think you were happy.
You were, until the day you found out. Being a seraph in the place you attended Charlie's advice, from the start you agreed with her, after all anyone has the right to a second chance, and especially as God says it, you must forgive. So when Adam said he was going to exterminate Charlie in a month, you and Emily didn't understand, why? They were human souls!
“Adam, don’t tell me it was your idea?”
“Honey, they are fishermen, they were lucky enough to earn their wings”
“Haven’t you ever made a mistake?”
"Of course not! I'm the first man"
“Isn’t man himself the definition of fishing?”
“Sweetheart, please stay out of this”
"Adam..."
“Please, I love you”
“I love you too, but you don’t deserve heaven”
Then you left and took refuge where you and Adam often go, to the garden of Eden. You sat under the tree resting your head on your knees while folding your wings over yourself, you just wanted to be alone.
“Hey, are you okay?”
You didn't want to answer, but this voice was unknown to you, yet you knew everyone up here. You raised your head and there you saw Lucifer. Lucifer himself, he stood there in front of you asking if everything was okay
"Not really "
“Do you want to talk about it?”
"Yes..."
"What is it about ?"
“Love problem...my partner lied to me”
“Haha I think I know it, my daughter experienced the same thing”
“But did your daughter know that she was dating an angel who killed hundreds of demons?”
“Oh...are you dating Adam?”
The only response you gave him was a sad nod, yes you were going out with him but you couldn't tolerate his actions.
"Lucifer you should hate me, why are you trying to help me by listening to me?"
“Simply because I am blinded by your beauty”
You suddenly blushed. But what you didn't know is that from afar, Emily looked at you, she was smiling because she knew it was what was best for you, Adam was only harmful, while Lucifer being the dreamer that he is, could bring you everything that Adam wouldn't.
You continued to see each other often since that day, obviously always in secret. On the day of the extermination you went down with Lute and Adam, except that once down everything didn't go as planned. Adam and Lucifer fought.
"You judge me? You are the most hated creature in creation"
“Your first wife didn’t hate everything I had to offer her.”
“Nor the second bom wawa”
“Nor the third for that matter, you know she was very disappointed in you”
Adam stopped and looked at you, you looked at her shamefully, you were ashamed, but before saying anything Lute arrived shouting
“TRAISTOR”
at you. She ripped off your wings before crashing into you. The fight is over here for you. That day you lost everything, your first husband, your forbidden love and a better life

Alastor x reader I've written randomly to vent about a shitty situation I'm currently living
Tumblr media
Summary : a new guest you knew from your past life arrive at the hotel, she was that one person who bullied you throigh high school, but she mooks too angelic to be guilty
Code : E/n (ennemy/name)
Tags : fem reader, etablished relationship, angst for the most part, there will maybe be a part 2, mentions of bullying, reader is TRAUMATIZED, english is not my first language, may have some inaccuracy about the show since I'm just projecting, and of course probably ooc characters
It wasn't a bad day, at least not in a place like hell, it was even quite nice, charlie was babbling about a new team bonding activity as usual, and it was nice being with your friends, until around 2 pm...when a new guest arrived...
Oh you remembered her...from high school, so pretty, so popular, she was you best friends ! You should have been overjoyed to see her down here !
Well...not exactly, because she wasn't your best friend anymore, you hardly bear to be in the same room as her, of anger, from your history and how your friendship ended...but also of fear and dread...
You were both teens back then, you and eager to have many friends ! You had your own group of friends, and she was a separate individual, spending her time with her boyfriend often, that's okay by you, you were happy for her, and when that boy left her you welcomed her with open arms ! You became best friend soon, even inseparable ! You heard her badmouth you to your friend group from time to time, but she told you it was okay, it was "to know who was fake" then, one by one, your friends ghosted you, but you had her, she was there at least, making new friends, each time you introduced her they left soon enough, you thought that maybe you were the problem and stopped trying, your best friend was there after all
Until a boy came along, love at first sight for you, he had everything ! He had so much...your best friend wanted him too...and with that, she had him, when you called her out she called you an homewrecker and a toxic friend getting in the way of her relationship, that ended badly and an argument followed, while you stayed on the down low, she texted your few friends left, and any new friends you managed to make telling them how awful you were, so you ended up closing your media althogether, moving away, and never hearing about her ever again
And there she was, she didn't really looked different from her time on her, a round face and blond hair, she didn't looked like she fitted in hell, but you you were different, your body jointed like a doll, mocking your life as the puppet of those who wanted to play you, but if not your appearance, your personnality changed, you were more confident, your boyfriend was a powerful overlord too ! No, not boyfriend, he proposed a month ago after all, he was your fiancee now, and you had friends, through thick and thin, you knew they wouldn't buy into her lie at least !
Having an hard time to breath you sucked it up, maybe she wouldn't recognize you ?
Wrong
How wrong
"Hello ! Welcome to the hazbin hotel ! Guys this is our new guest !" Charlie started with her usually cheerfulness
"Hi everyone ! My name is E/n, I barely arrived in hell ! And I figured that if I could, I would want to be redeemed ! After all everyone deserves second chances !" The girl said back
Her voice hasn't changed, neither her tone, that fake nice tone you used to hear every day, here, one again in flesh and blood, not through a phone, not through class, but..here...
Breathing harder than ever, you only went back to reality when husk called out to you
"Hey ? You seem weird, like you've seen some ghost ?" His tone nonchalant as always showed half concerns, but for him, it was a lot
"A glass, of whiskey, or vodka, whatever you got, strongest you got please"
"Wowowo...alright, that's not your type to drink, what's up...?"
"I-I...I know this girl...she...listens, I can't be in her presence sober, I knew her from where I was alive...we had...some bad conflict...she did some awful things to me, and I got bad issues after that...I said some mean things to her too, we were kids, but since then I'm scared I'll lose all my friends again !"
Husk just nodded at my whispered rant, trying to calm myself, I didn't even insisted on a glass and went straight to my own room since alastor and I didn't shared one yet, not before marriage he said
Later that day, angel vaggie and charlie passed by my room, concerned by my absence, I told them everything, how I ended up abandonning the notion of making friends when I was alive, the calls, the insults, they looked at me with compassion, charlie said she believes that she could have changed, and even if I doubted it, I wanted to believes it
Alastor arrived to spend some quality time with me, dancing on old jazz music far from my time, reading a book, basking in silence with each others
After a while, I thought I could talk about E/n with him, he was my fiancee after all ?
"Al ?" I started, unsure
"Yes my dear ?"
"You know about that new guest at the hotel ?"
"Ah yes, what a cultivated lady, quite entertaining, she was really into songs from the 1980s not my style at all, we had a long discussion about music genres, she's actually quite against modern technology and that picture show"
"Oh...so...you like her company ?"
"She is not insufferable if that's your question"
Finally you decided against your first idea, perhaps she had changed in the end ? Perhaps a new friendship was possible ? With healthy fondation, you could get your bestfriend back !
Wrong again
You revealed her the next day who you were, well, used to be, what linked the two of you back in the living realms, for others, nothing changed, but for you it was subtle, for exemple she never interrupted anyone, but when it came to you each time your mouth opened she would cut you out
She was such a charmer too, a quality you envied her, her audience was captivated, and soon even alastor was her aquaintance, he presented her rosie of course ! Just like he did for charlie !
And just like he did for you...
Rosie found her delightful, and from your tea parties at 3 with her and alastor, became 4, adding E/n
A comment about your appearance back in high school, an embarassing moment you had, a silly crush, every single detail of your life was used to mock you, even your crush on a video game character
Soon you always found excuses to avoid going to the tea party, and spend most of our time outside of the hotel, feeling akward in her presence
You tried talking about it to charlie or maybe vaggie, to no avail, they said how nice E/n was and how much progress she was making, if they weren't saying you sounded silly thinking that in these 3 weeks she took your place, you still felt like it...
And it all confirmed when, after a whole day of searching for everyone, they finally came back to the hotel from shopping...without you
"Finally you're here toots ! We tried searching for ya before going but you weren't anywhere !" Angel started, holding many bags in each arms
"What do you mean ? I was in my room all day ?"
"Wait you weren't out ? E/n told us she saw you leave ?"
"Oh I'm sorry my eyes deceived me...next time I'll still check your room !" As everyone looked sorry I couldn't help but see it, even for a second...
She smirked...
Of course she did, she never changed
This started becoming common occurence, either the others left you behind, or you could leave the entire day without them noticing, and at some point, angel, husk and sir pentious started to distance themselves from you
"Hey angel, hum...you wanna hang out...? Go to a club, or drink with husk, just spend some time betweens pal ?"
"Sorry sweet cheeks, but we're partying with E/n tonight and...she doesn't feel comfortable around you..."
"Wha ? Angel what are you talking about ?"
"She told us about it, about the two of you, hos jealous and manipulative you were, you even tried to make her dump her boyfriend, that wasn't cool of you, I don't want to take side on this, but if I hang out with one of you, I'd rather not force her to be with the other for both your sanities"
"Oh...ok"
That's all you could have mustered, because what was there to muster, you were in hell, all the proof you used to have were on your previous phone in the living realm, but even if angel and the other favored her, mayne your fiancee could understand your side ?
Gently you knocked on alastor's hotel room as he called you to come in, he was currently eating his dinner, a...fresh venison...but you shook your head lightly, taking a sit across the table
"Al, can I vent to you for a bit...?"
"What is it my dear ? But please, spare me your story with E/n, as much as I love a good gossip, the young lady did you a favor by never taking vengance in the living realm, I wouldn't want the two of you to get in troubles once again"
"Al, please it's serious, she's telling lies about le ! And you believes her ? I'm your fiancee ! She's in hell as well !"
"And so are you, and so am I, I am not interested in knowing the why who is were, but I admit your little querrel is...quite entertaining !"
"So your fiancee see her ex bully...and all you think about is entertainment ?"
"Well, ma chère (my dear) as far as we are all concerned, without proof, both of you could be the liar, it's about, who's able to convince the public, just like on a stage"
Alastor's half sadistic smile didn't amused you, you just sighed, getting up, wamking slowly toward the exit of his room, if even your own fiancee, the man you loved refused to believes you, who would ?
You couldn't see alastor's curious expression as you left, he just wanted to prolounge the fun and not outright gives you the solution, but seeing you give up almost made him that for once he screwed up badly

Lashing Out -Husband!Bakugo Katsuki x Wife!Reader
A/n: hope this is okay? Don't be afraid to leave feedback <3 Also I didn't know what to do for the title... gosh this sucks T^T
General info: Genre: angst to fluff/angst to comfort \\ wc: 1,270 \\ fem reader \\ posted: 03/19/24
Warnings!: angst, hurt, partner being harsh, partner being insensitive, crying, passive reader, mean Bakugo, and lashing out. I think that's all, pls let me know if I missed any!
Tumblr media
You perk up as the front door opens, revealing your toned hubby. You giggle excitedly, your cheeks heating up and butterflies forming in your stomach from the sight of your beloved. It’s been three years since you said, “I do”, and yet you couldn’t help but fall in love all over again when your eyes met his attractive frame and familiar warm eyes.
Bakugo, however, didn’t seem as excited to see you. He lets out a sigh as you wrap your arms around him, slinging an arm around one of your shoulders half-heartedly before semi-gently pushing you off him as he closed the door.
You frown but shake it off. He must have had a hard day, right? It would be better to just be supportive and tone the affection down a bit. You follow him like a shadow as he takes his gauntlets off, dropping them to the floor. He strips his mask, neckpiece, and gloves off before slumping onto the couch.
You gently take his combat boots off, pulling his socks off and grabbing some lotion. He must be exhausted and sore from work, maybe a foot massage would help? You lovingly begin to massage his sore feet, shyly looking up at him every once and a while. He doesn’t respond, keeping his face buried in his pillow.
You continue to gently massage his feet as he lays on the couch mindlessly. Your fingernail grazes part of his foot, causing him to hiss and yank back, glaring down at you. “What are you doing?” He growls, shooting you a look of anger and... disgust.
“I-I was massaging your feet baby. You seem to be having a hard time so I-”
“Quit it. I’m not your baby, quite treating me like one. I don’t need you to coddle me. Go do something useful for once and leave me alone.” He spits, shooting you one last glare before darting off the couch and into your shared bedroom, slamming the door.
You feel tears sting your eyes, but you shake your head, refusing to let them fall. You gingerly stand up, putting Bakugo’s hero gear away. You pick up the house for a while before sighing. You step up to your bedroom door and gently knock.
“Ba- Katsuki? Can I come in?” You hear a grunt, not a clear yes or no.
You step inside quietly, walking up to your husband in bed. He was staring up at the ceiling with a snarl etched on his handsome face.
“What’s wrong, love? You know you can talk to me, right?” You murmur, placing your hand on his. He yanks his hand from yours, breaking the skin-on-skin contact. Your heart throbs in your chest, but you don’t push.
“I’m having a hard day. Don’t make it worse for me.” He grumbles, turning away from you.
“Did you eat?” You sigh, biting your lip in worry.
Bakugo growls softly as he glares at you. “Quit nagging me and leave me be. Get out of my face, woman.”
Your heart throbs harder against your chest as you feel tears sting your eyes. You nod quickly, looking at the floor so he doesn’t catch sight of your fragile emotional state.
“I’m going to go to bed, do you still want me out of here?” You murmur gently. Bakugo groans, glaring harshly at you.
“Yes! Get out of my hair! How many times do I need to repeat myself to you!?” You stand up as your heart throbs again. You quickly leave the room, causing Bakugo to huff in annoyance.
Tears form at the corners of your eyes as you check the doors to make sure they’re locked, turn off the lights, and quickly get ready for bed. You brush your teeth and grab an extra blanket. You didn’t have pajamas out here, and you didn’t want to disturb your tired husband, so you just laid in the smaller bed, trying to get comfortable without the familiar heat of your beloved next to you.
After tossing and turning for quite a while, you give up on sleep. Sighing, you hold yourself as you try to stop the tears. You know he’s just having a hard day, but it doesn’t make the throbbing in your chest lessen. You cradle a pillow close to your chest, hugging it tightly as you desperately try to not let any tears fall.
His harsh words flash in your mind as you try to drown them out.
One tear slides down your cheek.
The way he addressed you as “woman”, as if you weren’t anything but an object.
A second follows the first, the third swiftly following suit.
How harsh he was with you. It was like you were a coworker or past classmate, not his wife. Much less the woman he had spent loving, courting, and cherishing since the second year of high school.
The fourth, fifth, and sixth tear drop down your cheeks, causing the gates to crumble as multitudes of tears slip down your cheek, gathering at your chin before dripping onto your pillow.
You cover your mouth with your hand, trying to stay quiet. You fight with yourself for a few moments before coming to a conclusion... what’s the point? He’s upset with you no matter what you do... so why hold it in? Why bottle up your feelings?
A choked sob slips past your lips, tears quickening at your frustration for allowing yourself to make a sound. A second sob follows the first, and yet a third and fourth join your desperate cry for help.
You feel yourself falling apart, just above the brink. You rock yourself back and forth, sobbing into your hand. You feel like you’re about to drown... and then it all stops. A warm hand gently touches your shoulder, a soft, familiar voice sounding in your ears.
”Baby?”
A soft gasp falls from your lips, temporarily being drawn from your sorrow as your eyes meet crimson glory. Bakugo looks down at you in worry, quickly coming closer. He gingerly presses a hand to your upper arm in concern.
Your tears bubble up as you try to contain your emotions, unable to speak.
“Y/n baby... I-I don’t know what to say...” he mumbles, his hand finding it’s place on your head.
“S-Suki...” you blubber out, the tears slipping. Bakugo’s crimson eyes burn with guilt as he wraps his arms around you, gently lifting you into his arms, like he first did as he brought you home from your joyous wedding.
“Shhh it’s alright.” He murmurs in your ear, bringing you to your shared bedroom, laying you down on your bed. It was larger and much more comfortable. He quickly joins you, wrapping you into his hold and he whispers sweet things into your ear, an arm wrapped around you, a hand on your stomach and the other on your head, slowly petting your hair.
You sniffle, trying to hold it in as you cling to the man you love more than anything. “Shh let it out baby. Let it all out.” Bakugo murmurs in your ear, pressing a loving kiss to your temple.
You attempt to hold it in for a few more seconds before finally breaking, sobbing into your husband’s chest as you clench his shirt tightly. He caresses your head and back, kissing your endless tears away as he coos at you.
“Jerk.” You sob, holding onto him tighter.
“I know baby, I know. I’m sorry honey.” He mumbles against your skin, holding you a little tighter.
Bakugo Katsuki was not one to apologize, but he would do anything for his beloved wifey.

The strike of a lighter lit in front of your face, you weren't one to smoke, in fact, you had never smoked a cigarette before. After all that had happened to you today though, you thought you needed a vice. You needed something, anything, too dull, to numb, to take your mind off what had happened. What you had heard, and now this dull ache refusing to leave your chest. You let the flame go out.
Leaning against the cold brick wall in the dark, in the alleyway of the convince store where you had just bought a pack of Marlboro's, the pretty sad girls always seemed to smoke those, and a matching red lighter. You huddled into yourself, hands stuffed in your jacket pockets, fist clamped around the box you had just bought. Your chilled body illuminated slightly by the neon lights of the city that spilled into your hiding place, you shakily take out the box, struggling for a second on how to open it before, with shaky hands, successfully ripping into it. You tapped out a single thin white stick and brought it to your lips, before restriking the lighter and bringing it to the tip.
You inhaled deeply, and paused before you began coughing, it felt as if you were going to cough your lungs right out of your body with how hard they were wracking your entire being. You bent over, hands on your knees as your whole body shook with the motions of your coughs, the cigarette, forgotten and extinguished on the ground by your feet, while this was a miserable feeling, you thought to yourself, it did replace that horrible knot of anxiety in your stomach for a few moments. Maybe it was worth it.
You thought back to what had caused this rash change in behavior for you, it wasn’t too long ago, just a few weeks, maybe even a handful of minutes if you didn’t count the foreboding feeling leading up to it.
You had been dating your boyfriend, Pro Hero Bakugo Katsuki for 2 years now, but had known him since the days that he was an upper classman for you at UA high, you in the support class a year under him, got semi acquainted with him as he frequently was breaking his equipment. After he graduated you both lost touch but when you graduated and found a job as a hero equipment repair apprentice at the same agency he was working at, the two of you began to interact once more.
You had had a crush on him since your schooling days, your girl friends always calling you crazy for liking such an abrasive boy, but you liked his candor, and his mental fortitude. The two of you found your quick wit in common and you could sympathize with him in a way that it seemed that a lot of people could not, which you didn’t fully understand but you didn’t let it get to you.
He asked you out 2 years after you had started working at the pro hero agency, he had brought a bouquet of your favorite flowers, you were surprised he had known them, but you happily said yes with years in your eyes. Your girlhood crush had been realized; how many people can say that.
You asked him later what made him ask you out, what he liked about you. He told you he liked your sweetness, your kind eyes, and maybe it was a red flag that he didn't mention how brave you were, or your quick hands, or your impressive talents. But maybe not, it’s hard to tell at this point.
He was sweet for a while, attentive, present, though it did drop off eventually, maybe after a year, maybe a bit sooner. You could shrug that off though, he was a pro hero, he was busy protecting the city and the entirety of Japan.
The two of you moved in together on your one-year anniversary, you thought it was so sweet when he presented you with the key to his apartment in a little box with a bow. Though was that just lazy behavior? Did he do that because he didn’t know what else to do or didn’t care to do anything else? You were questioning everything about the of your relationship at this point.
You hadn’t brought much from your apartment, just a couple boxes of stuff besides clothes, since his place was already furnished with things much nicer than yours. You didn’t think you would be needing any of your old furniture again, no point in paying for storage for things you don’t need, so you sold it off for a little bit of money to put into your savings, you secretly had the thought of ‘wedding’ when saving the money.
You chuckle bitterly in the alleyway you’ve been reminiscing in, “stupid” you murmur to yourself.
It was definitely dumb of you to sell almost all your belongings when moving in with your first serious boyfriend, but you were young and dumb and in love.
You were happy cooking lunches for the both of you, and then making breakfast, before going to work an 8-hour shift, often having to put in overtime due to unexpected or urgent repairs needing to be done, and then coming home, cleaning your shared living spaces, and starting on dinner before he came home. It became a routine, and you didn’t mind, he worked hard, and you loved him, so putting in some extra effort didn’t hurt, right?
You loved him. He loved you. It didn't hurt, right?
He had been acting a little more distant than usual in the last few weeks, you had tried talking to him, getting him to open up, letting him know you were there for him, giving him his space, but no matter what you did, nothing seemed to work, he just seemed to be getting further and further away from you, coming home later, pushing his dinner around his plate but not eating, and even when the two of you slept in the same bed, side by side, it was as if you were worlds apart. You had no idea what was going on, you equated it to his job, it was hard, he had to watch people get hurt, he had to watch people die, he had to bear the guilt of not being able to save those claimed by death. You felt helpless sitting there watching him drift away but you tried everything, there was nothing left for you to do.
He came home earlier than his new normal that day, the sun was still in the sky, albeit, setting, the orange fingers of light stretching out through the clouds as if grasping onto the day, not wanting to leave the bliss of unknowing.
“Oh, hi honey!” you greeted him as you heard the door unlock and swing open, “you’re home earlier than you’ve been, so I don’t have dinner ready quite yet,”.
You continued to happily babble as he took off his shoes by the entrance and closed the door behind him before making his way to the kitchen where you stood and took a seat at the dining table. He ran a hand through his hair, tousling the spikes slightly, in a way he did when he was anxious, but you didn’t see the movement as you had you back turned, happily stirring away at a pot on the stove.
“We need to talk.” He stated.
You felt your stomach drop in anxiety, you didn’t like his tone of voice, it was curt, it was clipped, it was cold. It was unfamiliar.
“O-” your voice caught in your throat, “Okay Hun, well dinners almost ready so, like 10 more minutes and we can talk over it okay? Thats fine, right?” you asked, more trying to reassure yourself than anything else.
“Y/n,” again, the unfamiliar tone, “turn off the stone, that can wait, we need to talk now.”
You slowly released the iron grasp you didn’t know you had on the wooden spoon you held in your hand, a sizable lump growing in your throat, before you inhaled through your nose and acknowledged him.
“Okay, Katsuki.” you turned the burner off, and whipped your palms quickly down your jeans once, steeling yourself before you turned to face him, sitting at the table, which suddenly looked alien to you.
You walked stiffly towards the chair you always sat in, opposite him, and looked at his face, there was an indescribable expression on it, but it was stern, and chilly. His lips were pressed into a hard line, and his eyes had a storm of emotion in them, determination, but behind that, maybe, guilt.
You pulled the chair out and sat, dread already filling your stomach as your mind filled with 1,000 ideas as to what he had to say, though nothing could have prepared you for the words that were about to leave his mouth.
“I found someone else.”
Time slowed for you.
He continued, “and I think I love her, more than I love you, I think more than I could ever love you.”, every second felt agonizing as you processed what he had just told you, someone else? You had a million questions, and they all started falling out of your mouth, tumbling and choking you along with your tears.
“Why? Who? For how long? When did this start? Where did you meet her? What do you mean? Can’t I do anything to fix this? Why are yo-,” You were stuttering and stumbling over your words before he held up a hand to stop your onslaught of questions.
“I can’t say why, I didn’t do it to hurt you, I still care about you, I do still love you, I just,” he paused and put his head in his hands, sighing, “I love her more.”
“I can’t tell you wh-” you stood up, the sound of your chair scrapping against the wooden floor cutting him off. Fat, hot tears ran down your cheeks and you walked past him and towards the front door.
He stood up as you passed, the sharp sound of his chair on the floor abrasive in your ears, and you flinched, squinting your eyes closed.
He grabbed your arm tightly, perhaps he didn’t know his own strength, but the force was bruising. You tried once to shake him off, but he didn’t let go. “Y/n, sit back down and listen to me,” he tried to command you.
You tried again to shrug him off, and when he again refused to release you from his grasp, your voice, raspy and harsher, and in a tone, he had never heard escape from your lips, confronted him.
“Let me go Bakugo.”
His hand loosened and you were able to finally shrug your bicep out of his fisted hand.
He stood there silently watching as you made your way to the front door, shoving your feet into the first pair of shoes you saw and grabbing a jacket, before opening the door and heading out, slamming it behind you.
That is how you had found yourself, now sitting on the ground in the alleyway on the side of a convenience store, knees to your eyes as you shook silently with sobs.
You lowered your knees and again reached into your jacket pocket, pulling out the little box and lighter, deciding to try again. You brought the cigarette back up to your shaky lips and repeated the steps, click of the lighter, bring the flame in close, let the flame die, inhale. Ignore the burn in your chest, exhale.
It didn’t hurt, right?

You didn’t sleep most nights.
Sometimes you felt the ghost of his fingers trailing lazy patterns on your arm the way he used to love to do. Sometimes you’d dream that you were in bed and he was there sleeping next to you. In those dreams you took the opportunity to watch him, memorizing every detail of his face. Every scar. The small movements of his nostrils as he breathed peacefully. You’d remember the feeling of his rough hands holding you so gently. Like he was terrified of breaking you.
But then you’d wake up to the cold empty space beside you, nothing but unwashed linen sheets filling the space because you didn’t want to wash away the scent that remained. The scent of him.
Sometimes, when you’d first wake up, still groggy from your slumber, you’d think Jason was in the kitchen fixing up your favorite breakfast. Like he always did on lazy mornings. Only he was never there. Not anymore.
It was stupid. It was so stupid. The way you still thought about him. The way he just gave up. The way he thought he had control over what was best for you.
And you were heartbroken. But you were also angry.
So, so angry.
You’d told him. You’d told him over and over that being with him was your decision, that risking your safety was never even a question for you when it came to being with him. You knew you’d always turn out okay, as long as you had him by your side.
Yet he never seemed to listen.
It’s been two weeks. Two weeks of replaying that night over and over in your head. It was torture.
“Jason-”
“No. Do not even try to justify anything that just happened Y/n.”
You paused. He never called you by your first name. Never.  You tried not to focus on it. “I’m not. But you need to know that it wasn’t your fault-”
“Are you fucking kidding me? Of course it was my fault, do you honestly think Black Mask would just kidnap you for fun? Are you that naive to think that you were not put at risk today because your boyfriend is the fucking Red Hood?” He dragged a hand over his face, he was pacing. His hands were shaky. You could have died. It would have been his fault had he not arrived when he did.
“I am not naive, Jason. I am a grown woman and I knew damn well what I signed up for when I fell in love with you. I’m not afraid of this. I’m not afraid of anything as long as I’m with you.”
He laughed dryly, “Bravery and the power of love won't keep you alive, Y/n. I can’t lose you. I can’t be the reason you get hurt.”
“You never have been and you never will be. Just– Please. I need you to understand that.” Your voice cracked, your eyes welling with tears, what he didn’t understand is it hurt you so, so much to see him in pain. You couldn’t lose him either. And he was constantly risking his life, you’d almost lost him far too many times.
He turned away from you. He couldn’t see you cry right now. He needed the shred of strength he had left to protect you. For good.
He turned to you, “I’ve been a selfish piece of shit my whole life. And I can’t– Fuck. I can’t keep putting how I feel first at the expense of your safety. You deserve a normal life. Not whatever the fuck I dragged you into.”
“Jason. What the fuck are you saying right now.” You didn’t want to believe it.
He didn’t look at you. He knew the moment he looked into your tear-filled eyes he’d take it back instantly. He’d apologize, bring you you to bed and hold you, peppering your face with sweet, gentle kisses. He’d drag you right back into the cycle he’d trapped you in.
You wished he would.
“Jason.”
“I’m leaving, Y/n. You need someone who can take care of you. Who can give you what you deserve. I have to let you go.”
“Are you shitting me? I want you. No one else. This is not your decision to make.”
He started walking towards the door. “I’m sorry.”  He refused to turn around, his eyes filling up with tears as he walked further towards the door, his hand on the doorknob.
“I want you to know that right now, you, Jason Todd, are hurting me more than anyone else ever could.”
There was a pause before he turned the doorknob, opening it and stepping out. “You’ll survive.”
That was the last time you spoke to him.
Over and over. The memory replayed in your mind. Every night you dreamed of him, you dreamed he never left, that he had put aside his own pride and just listened to you. That he had just let you be there for him.
You had no idea where he was. You were constantly looking at your phone. Constantly. Waiting, hoping that you’d get a call from him, telling you he was sorry. That he wanted to come back to you. That you’d make it work.
But it never came. And deep down, you knew it wouldn’t.
So every day you tormented yourself with dreams of him. Thoughts of him. Remembering the feeling of his arms snaking around your waist as you made your morning coffee. The feeling of him plopping his tired body onto yours after a long day, running your fingers through his hair as he laid his head on your chest.
No thermal or weighted blanket provided the warmth and the security that he did. No pillow you hugged felt as comforting as hugging him did. No comedy you watched was as funny as when you watched it with him. No jacket you owned was as warm as the one he would drape over your shoulders while you were out together and it started to get cold.
You lived with constant reminders that he was gone. Constant echoes of his previous presence.
You could only hold on to the ghost of him that remained in your cold apartment.

I didn't mean it (Mike Schmidt x reader)
Tumblr media
The front door of Mike's opened and as you turned your head you spotted him making his way inside with a tired expression on his face.
"Hey, how did work go?" You asked, a small smile appearing on your face as you stood up and walked over to him. To your surprise, he pushed past you, mumbling something under his breath. Watching him walk over to the couch, you sighed. Mike shrugged off his jacket, plopping down on the couch.
"What's wrong?" You asked, you knew he had been stressed lately. Mike remained silent, worrying you even more. Making your way back over to the couch, you sat down next to your boyfriend, placing a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to comfort him. Though, the moment you did, Mike shoved your hand away. You stared at him, stunned.
"It's nothing" he mumbled audibly this time. You sighed, locking eyes with your stressed boyfriend.
"I don't believe you, now tell me what's going on" you insisted. Mike had never been that good at expressing his feelings, but he was usually willing to open up to you.
"I told you it's nothing" he said once again, raising his voice slightly. You tensed for a moment and stood up from the couch. You made your way toward the front door, deciding to come back tomorrow. However, as you reached your hand out to open the door, Mike said something you didn't expect.
"We're not a charity case" he spoke, causing you to turn toward him with wide eyes. You were too stunned to say anything as you processed his words.
"What's that supposed to mean?" You asked as Mike stood up from the couch.
"Abby and I aren't a charity case. You don't have to help us just because you pity us" Mike spoke, looking upset.
"Mike, you know I don't see either of you as a Charity case. I help you because I care." You said, trying not to get emotional.
"I don't know if I believe that" Mike muttered,
"Mike, I know you're stressed but-"
"you don't know anything!" Mike's loud voice suddenly echoed off of the walls. You jumped back, almost falling to the ground. Regaining your balance, you tried your best to hold back the tears that threatened to spill from your eyes.
"Fine" you spoke after a moment, crossing your arms over your chest.
"I'm going home" and with that, you made your way out of the house. Mike watched you leave, sighing to himself as he made his way to his bedroom, unaware of the fact that Abby was awake to hear the whole thing.
----------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, Mike woke up with a sigh. Making his way out of bed, he walked down the hallway toward Abby's room. Slowly pushing the door open, he spotted the little girl slowly opening her eyes.
"Morning Abbs, it's time for breakfast" he spoke, walking over to the side of the bed. Abby looked up at him, a small frown appearing on her face. Noticing this, Mike frowned as well.
"Are you and (Y/N) breaking up?" She suddenly asked, Mike was silent for a moment, sighing to himself.
"Why do you think we're breaking up?" He asked,
"I heard you two fighting last night. I don't want you two to break up" the little girl spoke, sitting up in her bed.
"Fights happen, don't worry about it. Now let's go eat breakfast" Mike told her.
"Ok" the little girl spoke, standing up and making her way to the kitchen. Mike turned to leave before he suddenly noticed a piece of paper sitting on his sister's desk. A drawing of three stick figures. Him, Abby, and you, all standing in front of a house with smiles on your faces. Mike stared at the picture, a frown appearing on his face. Ever since the two of you had started dating, Abby had become attached to you. He felt bad about snapping at you, but he wasn't ready to face you. Mike sighed to himself, going to make breakfast.
----------------------------------------------------------
You arrived home from work, letting out a tired sigh. The fight you had with Mike still weighed heavy on your mind. Shrugging off your jacket, you suddenly heard your phone ring.
"Hello?" You answered,
"(Y/N)?" You were surprised to hear Abby on the other end of the call.
"Abby? Is everything ok?" You asked her, becoming concerned.
"Mike is really upset, why did you two fight?" The little girl asked. The way she spoke broke your heart. You had no idea she had heard you and Mike's fight.
"Abby, it's complicated" you tried your best to explain the situation.
"Mike's really sorry, I wish you two would make up" Abby told you.
"Look Abby, I gotta go. I promise everything will be ok" you spoke, hoping you could cheer her up.
"Ok..." Abby replied. The phone call ended and you sighed. After a moment, you grabbed your jacket and exited the house.
----------------------------------------------------------
Mike was snapped from his thoughts when he headed a knock on the door. Glancing at Abby, who sat at the kitchen table, he made his way to the door. Opening it, he was both surprised and relieved to see you standing there.
"Hey..." He said, feeling awkward. You smiled seeing Mike standing there,
"hey....I came to say I'm sorry." You said, a small smile on your face.
"I should be the one apologizing, I shouldn't have snapped at you like that" Mike told you.
"I-I didn't mean it, what I said. I feel like shit for taking things out on you. I know you care about me and Abby" he spoke. You didn't reply, simply pulling your boyfriend into a hug. A small smile appeared on his face as well, wrapping his arms around you. He rested his head on your shoulder as the two of you stood there for a moment.
"Do you want to come in?" Mike asked.
"Of course" you said, making your way inside. Abby stepped into the living room, a smile on her face.

I saw that you were receiving requests and I was wondering if you could write a Bakugou x male reader angst (both adults and married if possible, but it doesn't necessarily have to be.) where they There's an argument and the reader leaves the house at night and comes back just a week later (because Bakugou said some bad things. I don't think he would do that but I love angst where the character almost literally has to kneel down and ask the reader for forgiveness 😭😭😭) I'm sorry if it's too detailed and forgive my English, I'm Brazilian and I'm using Google Translate ☠️... (oh! and with a happy ending please🥺)
Yayyy first request hehe
Summary: reader and bakugo got into a small argument about bakugo not being home enough due to his hero work, bakugo being himself the argument escalated into something worse.
reader: Male
other details: Hero!Bakugo, Readers job not mentioned (can be read as hero reader or other). It is mentioned that reader has a sibling but details about them are not specified.
warnings: angst-(fluff at end), swearing(its bakugo what did you expect) implied married reader and bakugo but not mentioned. Kinda ooc but I tried my best 🥲
Tumblr media
You and bakugo had been together for quite some time. You first started the relationship when he was in his second year at UA, but you had known eachother since middle school. So of course you knew eachother very well, and were very close. Or well, as close as you can be with bakugo.
when you first got together he had been quite distant, but you understood. He wasn’t use to this kind of thing, yet it didn’t take him long to adjust. Long story short after he graduated you both ended up moving in together.
you had quickly gotten use to how much bakugo worked. He was so desperate to be the No.1 hero, and of course as his boyfriend/husband you supported him in that. Yet, sometimes you felt that he was more focused on that than you. He was rarely ever home leaving you to do most of the house work, including the laundry, dishes, buying groceries, ect. at first it wasn’t anything to worry about, you were mostly okay with it since you got to stay home most of the time, but sometimes it would get lonley. It was weird… you had been in a relationship for so long and even lived with him yet the house felt so empty and devoid of life. You thought that it was maybe a good idea to bring this up with bakugo. He would understand…right?
You ended up needing to stay up quite late that night waiting for him to return. He always worked overtime just to get his rank higher. He was already in the top ten… why did he worry so much…?
you felt a small jolt of surprise when you heard the front door unlock, sitting up you looked over to see bakugo. Despite being right there he didn’t seem to notice you.
“Katsuki..? Can we talk real quick?” You spoke, trying to seem calm. Despite this your heart was beating like crazy, it felt like some part of you was screaming to not bring up the issues. “Hm? Oh, you’re still awake.” He replied.. yet it seemed quite delayed.
“ah- yeah… but we need to talk.” He looked over with an annoyed expression. “Not right now.” His reply… shocked you to say the least. “Katsuki. It’s important. It’ll be quick I just need to—“ he cut you off with an annoyed sigh. “I said not right now Y/N.”
“This can’t really wait for later—“ he glared. “Do you not get what *not right now* means?” He raised his voice slightly as he spoke, his eyes piercing into your softer gaze. “It’ll be quick—! I swear.” You spoke, hoping that he would take a moment to sit down and hear you out.
he rolled his eyes tilting his head back letting out a dramatic sigh. “Fine. Let’s just get this over with.” I felt a bit of relief as he accepted. I waited a moment as he sat down on the couch beside me. “The hell do you want? It’s so goddamn late.” Despite him agreeing to speak it was clear how much he didn’t want to.
“i… I was thinking, could you maybe… try spending a bit more time at home…? I know how important your hero work is to you- and I don’t want to stop you from reaching your goal but… we haven’t really spent much time together in the last few months, and— I guess I’ve been kinda lonley…?”
he stared at you, his gaze not breaking for even a second as he spoke. You looked back as you finished, expecting him to understand, but instead you were met with a rather… interesting, expression.
his expression gave off the kinda mood of *are you being serious?*
“that’s what this was about? This is what was so fucking important you just had to talk about it right now?”
what he said… it almost hurt slightly. “What…? What do you mean? I think this is something that’s pretty important.” He rolled his eyes at your response. “Tch, I get how needy you are but I can’t just throw away all my work just for you.”
“what-? I- that’s not what I’m saying-! You’re only ever home at night after I’m asleep and you’re gone once I wake up! I’m not being needy! And asking to see you at least once everyday while living in the same house is not being needy!”
his expression made it clear he was pissed off. “Do you not realise how important my work is? How important it is for me to become no.1? Or does it all not matter to you?!” You stare at him in slight shock, it was weird how much he was misunderstanding the situation.
“that’s not what I mean! I just want to spend more time with you-! If I’m going to be stuck at home all day I at least want to see someone-! Especially you!”
“I can’t just throw away my work to spend my whole day with you! My life doesn’t revolve around you!” He stood up looking down at you.
“Katsuki! That’s not what I mean-! You—“ He cut you off. “If you think I can put everything aside just for you then— you’re mistaken.” There was an awkward silence in the room for just a moment. “You should just go.” You stared at him, your eyes locked onto eachother. “What…?” “Tch— I said you should go-!”
“Katsuki— what are you talking about?!”
“…. You know damn well what I mean.”
the silence started again lasting for a good twenty seconds. You could feel the tears building up yet not spilling. “Fine.” You stood up grabbing your phone and keys walking out the door. You didn’t know what to do but just listen.
you looked at your phone for just a moment before texting your sibling, you didn’t really have anywhere to stay so you hoped they would let you crash at their place for a bit. You stare at the small screen… it was late so you could only hope they were still awake to reply. The amount of relief you felt when your screen lit up and a small notification read
..”sure.”
the next few days passed by so painfully slow. You stared at your phone most the time just hoping to see a notification from Bakugo, some sort of apology, or just a check up. nothing.
it didn’t help that he was quite a popular hero, you couldn’t even watch the news without seeing him.
after a full week past without anything from him, you realise that this was most likley an end to your relationship. All these years thrown away simply because you couldn’t handle not being near him.
you picked up your phone hesitating before sending bakugo a simple message.
“im coming over to grab my stuff. Be there in 20.”
you looked as the message sent, of course he left you on read.
despite it only being a 20 minutes drive, it felt like hours. Your mind was racing, you were nervous, scared to see him. As you walked to the front door you hesitated standing there for a good 30 seconds before finally knocking.
your heart was beating fast as the front door opened. “…come in.” He spoke. He looked more tired than ever, if anything it was a surprise he was even home. You simply nodded, stepping inside. The house looked like shit. You weren’t thinking that to be rude, it genuine looked like bakugo wasn’t doing anything to take care of it.
“y/n i—“ he was cut off staring at you, as you gave him the same glare he sent you a week ago. He averted his eyes like he was holding back tears. “Please— let’s… let’s talk about this….?”
“…what is there to talk about. You made it clear how you feel.”
“i— I had some time to think… a… a lot of time and— i- im… Tch— im fucking sorry okay?!”
you continued to stare at him, though the apology was genuine, you were scared to accept. You didn’t want things to just go back to how they were before.
“please y/n i— I didn’t realise how much I need you.. you’re so god damn important to me… i… took you for granted.”
you stayed silent staring at him. It’s not that you were being rude, you simply didn’t know what to say. You could see the desperation in his eyes but didn’t expect him to start tearing up.
“Y/n… please don’t leave me-! I.. I need you… please…” you watched as he grasped your hands tears pouring down his face as he struggled to even breath.
“im sorry for everything I said I— I had so much time to think and… I didn’t have my priorities straight! So please let’s just… let’s talk over this okay…?”
without a word you lifted a hand up wiping the tears from bakugos eyes before resting a hand on his cheek. “You’ll do better this time right…? It won’t just go back to how it was before…?”
you could see a spark in his eyes now that you finally answered. “I promise-! I— it won’t happen again just— please— don’t leave me…”
you let out a soft sigh. “I won’t leave you. And… I forgive you.” You heald onto his hands gently for just a moment before he pulled you in holding you close.
“i… don’t know how I ever took a man like you for granted.”

The party was supposed to be a fundraiser of sorts, designed to get the word about the Hazbin Hotel out into the world after their numerous previous failed attempts at doing so. Charlie had insisted all the overlords be there and even when Alastor had tried to leave the Vees off the guest list, she had caught him in the act and admonished him for it.
He cursed himself for not being quicker about it, more slick. Vox wasn't a threat but he was an annoyance and one Alastor would rather not deal with. The added threat of further dressing downs from Charlie should he fail to conduct himself in any less than perfectly pleasant in the mans presence was just the icing on the cake. Vox was screeching, he was haughty, he was overwhelmed by himself, he was-
Alastor's train of thought ran off, his breath caught in his throat. The man in questioned had entered, ready to join the fray, but that wasn't the distraction. No, the distraction came in the form of the charming little demon he was helping take off her heavy fur coat. Alastor watched as she smiled gracefully up at Vox, standing up on her tip toes and planting a tender kiss on his cheek.
How could he have forgotten? In the chaos of the past seven years, she had slipped from his mind. How had looking for her not have been the first thing he did when he was allowed any semblance of freedom? He could blame no one but himself. Now, she had fallen into the enemy's arms. Alastor bristled, seizing the opportunity of Vox bringing her coat over the to coat check Husk was running and using his shadows to appear at her side.
Y/n gasped as he materialized beside her, holding a hand to her chest in shock.
"Jesus... Al?"
Confusion marred her features as Alastor took her hand, whisking Y/n towards the dance floor.
"Hello, my dear." he smiled down at her as the music began.
It was a waltz, something by Shostakovich with all his wild rises and falls, all his nonconformity. The perfect soundtrack to their reunion, Alastor thought. Despite her shock, Y/n kept to the timing of the dance perfectly, never missing a step.
"But how... where..."
"I'm back now, darling. That is what matters."
Alastor dipped her and Y/n let out a sharp laugh. He assumed it was joy, it couldn't be anything other in his mind. She watched him in disbelief as he pulled her to her feet once again.
"I am so sorry."
She seemed only to be growing more confused by the moment. He reveled in her wonder as if it were the finest delicacy, a perfectly cooked steak. He had shown her the world again and again, he hoped never to stop having the opportunity.
"For what?"
Of course she would understand, wouldn't blame him, would know it wasn't his choice. She was always so unbelievably perfect like that, surprising him at every turn. Y/n fell into line without him ever even having to ask, it was just who she was. She didn't even have to try.
"For letting you fall into the arms of scum like that. He doesn't own your soul, does he?"
Y/n opened her mouth to speak but in his newfound joy, Alastor was unable to stop himself. How could he have forgotten? How could he have forgotten?
Her eyes, her smile, her sharp wit -- all of it. Y/n was and had always been, since the first day he had met her, the absolute center of his universe.
"It's no matter. That is easy enough to fix with a contract of our own."
"Alastor."
"Then everything will be all right, things will be just like the old days."
"Alastor."
He spun Y/n out, pulling her back in and catching her in his arms.
"Goodness, I've missed you."
"Alastor!" She pulled himself from his grip, panting.
They stood at the center of the dance floor, still among the whirling bodies. Y/n cleared her throat, smoothing the skirt of her dress. Alastor was thankful that the world around them seemed distracted for the moment, everyone too caught up in themselves and their own lives.
"My dear," he asked softly through gritted teeth, "what are you doing? You'll make an embarrassment of the pair of us."
"That's what I am trying to keep from happening."
"Whatever do you..."
Alastor trailed off, catching sight of Vox as he approached them, weaving in and out of the writhing mass of bodies. His eyes narrowed, his ears laid flat against his head.
Y/n leaned forward slightly, about to ask him what was wrong when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up, a smile crept across her face at the sight of Vox.
"There you are, I've been looking everywhere for you."
Vox caught sight of Alastor now. Alastor expected the man to attack him, to boast, to do anything except what he did which was lean down to Y/n, his voice laced with concern.
"Are you alright? He didn't do anything to you, did he?"
Vox scanned her, looking for any visual signs of upset.
"No." Y/n patted Vox's hand reassuringly where it lay on her shoulder, "No I am fine, I promise."
"Alright, I am sorry. I just know..."
"I know. Thank you for remembering."
Alastor cleared his throat and Vox straightened as he and Y/n turned to face him.
"I have to ask you to leave my girlfriend alone." Vox stated.
His civility sparked something in Alastor, a familiar hunger.
"Your girlfriend?"
Before he could say another word, Y/n cut him off. She took a step forward as she spoke, Vox's hand falling from her shoulder.
"Yes, that is what I have been trying to tell you but you wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise, you never do."
"But..."
Alastor was completely at a loss for words, a rare occasion. His eyes flicked back and forth between Y/n and Vox.
"What can he give you that I couldn't? What can that bucket of bolts do better than me? I wasn't right, was I? Did you sell him your soul? I know I was gone but how foolish can you be, Y/n?"
She stiffened at the sound of her name on his lips.
"He lets me breathe, Alastor!" Y/n threw her arms in the air, adding emphasis to her words, "He lets me breathe. You never did that. With you, what you said went and I had to follow perfectly, I had to..."
She took a deep breath, her hands balled into fists. Vox took a step forward, they shared a look of reassurance.
"I was never happy with you." Y/n admitted, "I am with Vox. He is a good man, he treats me well, he listens, he takes me as I am."
"And I didn't?"
"No! No, you didn't. You wanted me blood hungry and ravaged, you wanted me as destroyer but that is not who I am. It never was."
Decisively, Y/n turned to Vox, his hand slipping gently into hers. Alastor watched in a mixture of shock and horror, unable to act.
"Do you want to go get a drink?"
"That sounds like a good idea. I think I saw Velvette already over by the bar."
"Of course." Y/n smiled.
The pair's locked hands turned into locked arms. Things had been good, he had thought they had been perfect. He had seen Y/n as the other piece of himself, the extension of the whole.
"I don't understand."
Y/n and Vox froze, their backs to him. With a soft pat to Vox's arm, Y/n turned to Alastor, her expression firm.
"I don't... I thought you loved me."
He was helpless, lost and floating. Alastor's mind ran wild, trying to regain any semblance of control over the situation. There was none to be found.
"I did." Y/n nodded sadly, "For a long time. I didn't know any better, I didn't know what love had the potential to be."
A moment of silence, a heartbeat.
"And he gives you that potential."
Y/n looked at Vox over her shoulder. When she turned back to Alastor, she was smiling. Alastor had never seen her smile like that before.
"He does." she confirmed.
"Come on, sunshine." Vox hummed softly from behind her, a hand outstretched, "Let's go get that drink."
Eagerly, Y/n ran up to him, their fingers entwining once again. Just as they were about to leave Alastor, standing alone on the dance floor, Y/n looked back at him. A wild hope flashed in his heart that was dashed when he was the conflict in her eyes.
"It was nice seeing you. I am glad you're alright."
"You too." his voice was weak, blurred. There was nothing he could do to stop it from being that way.
"I hope... this hotel seems good for you. I hope it works out the way you want it to."

Perfect for me (Max Thunderman x GN!Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Max Thunderman had his eyes on you since your friendship began but ever since your friendship with Phoebe you guys haven't been 'friends' necessarily. When he gets a moment with you, will he let his rivalry with his sister get in between you guys? Part Two: Imperfectly Loved Pronouns: You/Yours They/Them Warnings: None other than fluff to angst Word Count: 6.8k
Phoebe welcomed her friend, you, in with a bright smile and a short hug. “So, I was thinking, movie marathon with tons of snacks, some karaoke, and then we end the night with a sleepover!” The wavy brown haired girl told you, closing the door behind you as you walked in and sat on the couch.
You tapped on your knees with a smile to her, “Sounds great!” you responded, looking around the colorful home before turning your attention back to Phoebe. “I didn’t bring any of my stuff though, I didn’t know we’d be having a sleepover.” You told Phoebe honestly, shrugging your shoulders slightly but Phoebe simply laughed it off. “We can pick your stuff up later, no worries.” She comforted, putting a hand on your shoulder before going to the kitchen to prepare some of  the snacks the two of you would have. Suddenly she let out a rather loud groan, “Darn, I think I left my checklist in my bedroom, I’ll be right back okay?” Phoebe told you, already heading up the steps of her staircase. You yelled out an ‘Okay!’ as you watched her figure retreat upstairs, quickly turning back around and opening your phone to scroll through it in silence.
Footsteps were heard, echoing on the wooden floors behind you. You assumed it was Phoebe who had come back from her bedroom, so you turned around but were met face to face with Max Thunderman, Phoebe's twin brother. “Oh, hey Max.” You greeted, turning back around to sit properly on the couch, continuing with the activity you were doing.
Max slightly narrowed his eyes, “Hey…” He mumbled, going to the kitchen whilst looking at you suspiciously. “What are you doing here?” He asked, noticing the counter filled with tons of snacks. He tilted his head and filled his arms with about half of those snacks, planning to hideout in his lair. You were still looking down at your phone, not necessarily interested in whatever Max was doing. “Sleepover with Phoebe.” You said simply, not even looking up until you heard the rustling from the kitchen. “What are you doing?” You asked, raising your brow and turning off your phone. Max had snacks filling his hands, up to his chin. “Getting food.” He stated obviously, trying to walk from the kitchen to his tunnel that slid into his lair. You saw how Max was almost about to topple over from the amount of food in his hands so you finally stood up, “Are you going into hibernation or something?” You asked him, slowly walking to him as you noticed a few of your favorite snacks in the pile-up. “Yes.” The boy grumbled, trying to walk to his lair.
You shook your head and rolled your eyes, standing in front of him and grabbing the top portion of the snacks he had taken so he could at least see while he was walking. “Lead the way.” You told him, gesturing with your head. He walked only a few feet to a love seat type thing, he opened his tunnel by kicking a button on the wooden loveseat with a yellow cushion and matching pillows. The cushion opened up vertically, exposing a slide of sorts, your mouth was opened wide in shock. Max tossed his grouping of snacks down the slide, holding his hands out for the group you held. When you weren’t handing them to him, he looked up and noticed your shocked expression which caused him to smirk in pride. “You know, if you ever want a tour, I would gladly show you around down there.” He hummed, taking the group of snacks you held, throwing them down the same way he did the others. He then positioned himself to go down the slide, but he didn’t go down yet, he looked at you. “Do you wanna take up that offer now?” He asked, holding his hand out.
You contemplated it for a bit but your thoughts were interrupted by Phoebe coming back down the stairs, “Got the list!” She said happily, making it about halfway down the staircase before noticing you and Max. “Max! Leave them alone, go and be obnoxious somewhere else!” Phoebe sneered with narrowed eyes, walking to the bottom of the staircase to where you stood next to the tunnel. Max rolled his eyes with a smug grin, “Later.” He told you, winking slightly before sliding down to his lair, the entrance way closing.
Phoebe sighed, “Hopefully he won’t come back up here.” She mumbled, leading you back to the couch and turning on the tv. You sat on the couch quietly, smiling gently and shaking your head at the antics of the two siblings. Phoebe walked over to the kitchen where she left the snacks and her expression dropped, “The snacks.” She said bluntly, looking up at you, you turned your head in the direction of the entrance Max just went down into. “Of course.” Phoebe groaned, bringing the rest of the snacks to the living room table. “No worries, we still have plenty.” She reassured, though you didn’t need the reassurance, it was still appreciated.
The sleepover was successful, a night filled with music, movies, eating, and overall fun. You saw Max a few more times in the night, but it was nothing more than shared glances.
The next morning Phoebe and you said your goodbyes. Phoebe pouted, “I wish the night lasted longer.” She sighed, upset you had to go. You laughed, “I’ll sleep over another day.” You reassured, giving her a tight hug to which she returned. Max had entered the kitchen for a moment, walking back to his lair, he looked up to you and saluted a small goodbye, winking once again before going down the slide to his bedroom. You rolled your eyes at his exit and pulled away from the hug with Phoebe with a smile. “I will see you at school, stop sending me off like I’m going to war.” You laughed, scrunching your nose, hand gently holding your friends. Phoebe chuckled and shook her head, “I’ll see you at school tomorrow, be safe on your way home.” She told you and you nodded. “Bye.” You said your final goodbye, leaving the Thunderman household, making your way home.
Over the next few weeks, you had been at the Thunderman household for a good chunk of days during those few weeks. During one of those visits Phoebe had to leave in the middle of it, she told you to just hang out there until she came back from whatever errand she had to run.
You sat quietly, occasionally making small talk with some of the Thunderman family. You fixed Noras bow for her, picked a game for Billy to play, you said ‘Hellos’ to the parents. The only person you hadn’t seen pretty much all day was Max, which was surprising since he usually came up by this time.
You stood up and walked over to his lair entrance, biting your nail as you contemplated opening it. Unbeknownst to you, someone coming up the basement stairs noticed you near the lair entrance and smiled slightly, making their steps quieter. You were so in thought that you were unaware when that person came up behind you. They roughly placed their hands on your shoulders, “Boo!” The person said as you jumped practically ten feet in the air. You turned, clutching your chest, and trying to catch your breath. There was the perpetrator, Max Thundermand. “Max.” You sighed out, still taking deep breaths, calming your beating heart. He hummed, hands behind his back innocently as he tried to stop himself from laughing. “You’re at my entrance.” He told you, raising a brow, head tilting to where you stood. You laughed gently and shook your head, hand lowering from your chest, “I haven’t seen you all day, for all I know you could’ve died down there.” You teased, crossing your arms.
Max nodded, “True, true.” He spoke, looking at you to the entrance, then back to you. “You want to take up that offer of a tour?” He asked, noticing how Phoebe was nowhere in sight. You couldn’t control how you broke out into a smile, nodding quickly. He laughed, pushing the button and opening the hatch, “After you.” He spoke, hand extended to you so you can position yourself. You took his hand, stepping up the two steps before putting both your legs into the tube. You were a little nervous, sure you’ve seen him do this a thousand times but there was still a small pit of anxiousness in the pit of your stomach. Max noticed your hesitance and released your hand, whistling slightly as he stepped down behind you and gave you a push, sending you flying down the slide. He could hear your original screams of fear until they turned in delight, your giggles echoing up the slide to him.
He smiled to himself, getting into position as he grabbed the top of the hatch, “Move out the way, I’m coming down!” He yelled, sliding down, closing the hatch in the process. Blue lights flashed by as he made twists and turns, sliding right down and falling onto his bed, lifting his head and seeing you holding your stomach, laughing on the side of the bed. “Was it fun?” He asked you, scooting to the edge of his bed. You nodded, calming your breaths from laughing and looking around.
You looked around his desks and bookshelves, noticing a few experiments , gadgets, and other things. Max watched as you looked around, a small smile on his features. He leaned forward, hands clasped together, “So, what do you do around school now?” He asked, trying to make conversation. You looked back at him with an unimpressed expression, holding some sort of orb. You hummed as you played with it a bit, he didn’t mind. “You don't have to act like I'm a new person just because I hang out with Phoebe.” You told him, turning back around to put the silver orb back where you found it.
Max looked down, soon looking around his room again, “I know, but, she’s a goody two shoes, she probably rubbed off on you, I haven’t seen you one on one in months.” Max told what he believed to be his ‘former’ friend. You frowned a bit, turning and sitting next to him. “I know, I'm sorry.” You apologized, bumping shoulders with him which caused him to smile a bit. “I’ve actually been busy, me and Phoebe finally got a hangout for that sleepover because my schedule cleared up.” You explained to him, standing back up, looking at his bookshelf area to see if he had anything actually readable. He looked at you as you looked around more. He cleared his throat, bringing your attention to him. “Since your schedule’s free now, I can show you around a ton of other places too.” Max said, putting a hand through his hair, smirking. You rolled your eyes at him but smiled anyway, “Oh, can you now?” You asked blandly, putting his books back. He nodded, putting his hand behind him to prop himself up as he leaned back. “I sure can, I know all the best spots.” He bragged to you.
You walked over to him, crossing your arms, “It sounds like you're trying to ask me on a date.” You spoke, tilting your head and he flushed since you caught him. He didn’t change his expression or position, “And if I was?” He asked you, he was met with slight silence. He was a little worried due to that but you finally spoke up, “Maybe you should ask instead of dodging it.” You told him, arms still crossed.
Max was looking up at you since you were standing in front of the bed and he was sitting on his. He smirked, now being the one to roll his eyes at you. “Okay, okay.” He said, holding his hand out in surrender, “Would you like to go on a date with me sometime?” He asked, smiling at you, his cheeks a soft pink, his eyes soft. You smiled back at him, “I would love that.” You respond, ruffling his hair. His eyes widened, genuinely not expecting that response. He looked at you with another smile, this one a little dopier, “Really?” He whispered to you, standing up and meeting your eyes for a bit more proper eye contact. “Really.” You whispered back to him, biting your lip.
Max decided the best place for a date was an abandoned museum in Hiddenville. The objects were covered in dust, no security systems, some of the glass was even broken. That wasn’t why he took you there though, he pulled you up a ladder to the roof, carefully sitting the two of you somewhere stable. You had a beautiful view of Hiddenville, the warmth of the sun on your face and the cool breeze made it all perfect.
After your visit to the abandoned museum you guys made your way back to the Thunderman household, hand in hand. Once you guys returned, Phoebe still hadn’t returned, it had been hours, the sun was practically setting. You and Max sat on the livingroom couch together, Max’s arm around you as you talked about the abandoned building, the sunset, anything you guys saw, everything.
You smiled, looking up at him, him looking down at you since you were leaning on him slightly. “That was fun.” You told him, smiling gently, “I guess you do know the best spots.” You said, admitting that he stuck to his word. Max laughed slightly, “Wasn’t it cool? I knew you’d have fun.” Max told you, rubbing your arms gently with the tips of his fingers. You shivered slightly at the feeling, looking at the table in front of you, but you didn’t pull from his grasp. You inhaled slightly, catching the smells of grass, metal, and a slight whiff of chemicals. None of which was surprising you since you saw his bedroom earlier. “It was really fun, it was amazing.” You told him, “You’re amazing.” You said suddenly, not noticing how you made his gaze soften even more to you.
He took his free hand and played with your hand, “You’re nice to be around, you always are.” He said to you, his voice quieter than it usually was. You looked back up to meet his gaze, “You think so?” You asked, fingers interlocking with his. Max nodded his head, licking his lips slightly, “I can be comfortable around you, that might sound weird.” He spoke, his voice gentle, which you were not used to. You shook your head, enjoying this quiet little moment between the two of you, “No, no.” You reassured, thumb rubbing the back of his hand. “I feel comfortable around you too.” Your comment made the tips of ears turn red and you laughed slightly, taking your free hand and messing with them.
Max shook you off his ear and looked at you blankly but you laughed at his expression, leaning more into him. Max shifted a bit, “Would you like to do things like…this, more often?” He asked you, referring to the current position they were in and the day as a whole. You gave him a toothy grin, “More dates?” You asked innocently and he squeezed your hand gently, chuckling a bit. “Yes, more dates. Would you like to go on more dates more often?” He asked you, and you thought about it. You had done this earlier so he just raised brow, turning your chin to make you meet his eyes once again.
You pursed your lips, “How about this question…” You began, backing out of his grip to face him and talk to him more comfortably. “Would you like to date me and see how that goes?” You asked, the question causing Max to pause, sitting up a bit. His mouth opened a bit in shock, “Yes…” He whispered, but you acted as if you couldn’t hear him. You cupped your ear, leaning towards him, “What was that?” You asked, smiling wide as he pulled you in by your waist. “Yes, I would. I would love that.” He responded, his eyes shining once he met yours eyes. He brought his lips to yours, his soft lips meeting yours, he couldn’t control it when he smiled against your lips. “This is all I need.” He mumbled against your lips.
After a little bit the two of you pulled apart and you sat next to him, the two of you just talking. Soon enough, Phoebe walked through the front door, looking up and seeing you before quickly looking back down and putting her keys in her bag. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t expect that to take so long.” She said, walking as she looked down, “Do you wanna have a sleepover?” She asked, completely stopping in her tracks when she looked up and noticed Max next to you on the couch as you guys talked. The two of you looked back at her, but you had a message lit up on your phone. You frowned, scrunching your nose, “Sorry Phoebe, I gotta get home since it’s late.” You said, standing up and brushing yourself off. Phoebe pouted and hugged you goodbye over the couch, “Okay, be safe on your way home. Maybe next time we can have a sleepover.” She said, you nodding in response, smiling at her sweetly. She waved goodbye, walking upstairs.
You walked to the door, Max seeing you out. He leaned on the doorway, “See you next time?” He asked, his face bright red, but his eyes were dilated. You nodded, smiling at him for the millionth time that day, kissing his cheek gently. “I’ll see you next time.” You said, starting your walk home.
Max closed the door, holding his cheek softly, a lovesick smile on his face. Phoebe rushed down the stairs and glared at him, “Stay away from my friend.” She grumbled to Max, pointing to him menacingly with a glare before running back up the stairs. Max ignored her and went back down to his lair.
You and Max, after establishing a sweet relationship, had been hanging out more. You guys had been going on more dates, breakfast, lunch, dinner. It wasn’t every single day but, it felt like it, not that either of you minded. The two of you didn’t hide your relationship, you just chose not to mention it, it wasn’t either of you guys’s obligations to share the information of your newfound relationship.
Eventually the weeks passed, you hung out with Phoebe, you met with Max, it was a routine. Sure, you hung out with your other friends, but it was mainly the Thundermans
Phoebe had hung out with you occasionally, not as much as before though. She had noticed you saying you couldn’t hang out more and more so she messaged you. She asked you if you were free the upcoming Saturday and you responded with an energetic yes. You and her made plans to meet at Splatburger for lunch to talk and maybe arrange a sleepover the same day, just see where the day takes you guys.
At Splatburger Phoebe sat in a booth, looking around for you as she looked down to her phone, typing out a message. Within the same minute you saw across from her, “Hey there stranger!” You greeted, smiling ear to ear when the girl in front of you looked up. She gave you a toothy grin, “Hey!” She greeted, shimmying her shoulders. “It feels like it’s been forever.” She told you, looking at the tablet and ordering a drink. You hummed in response, nodding as you also ordered a drink, setting the tablet to the side. “You’ve been busy?” Phoebe asked, also setting her tablet to the side. You smiled at her, your eyes shining, “Yeah,I guess so. I’ve been hanging out with friends.” You told her, tilting your head ever so slightly. Phoebe's facial expression kind of dropped at the mention of that, but she didn’t say anything.
The waiter came by, giving the two of you your drinks. “Enjoy your meal.” He said, walking away to clean tables or go to the kitchen, whichever.
You took a sip of your drink, cheeks warming since the drink was so cold. Phoebe was messing with her straw, her expression looked as if she wasn’t having a good time. You knocked on the table slightly, “You okay? You’re zoning out on me.” You asked her, eyebrows furrowed, a small frown on your face. Phoebe snapped out of it and looked at you, contemplating as if she wanted to say something. “What’s wrong?” You questioned, a little worried since she was so quiet.
Phoebe licked her lips and made brief eye contact with you. She inhaled a bit, getting some air before speaking. “I noticed you and Max have been..” She paused, biting her lip to find the right words. “You guys have been hanging out a lot.” She said, finger slightly tapping on the table. You didn’t understand why her question was toned so strangely but you brushed it off, continuing to sip on your drink. “Yeah, he’s fun to hang with.” You said after swallowing, pushing the drink to the side, a small smile on your face as you looked over a bit, thinking about the Thunderman you had hung out with the day before.
Phoebe noticed how you looked and rolled her eyes, groaning. She leaned her head on the back of the booth, “Ugh,” She began, tilting her head forward to look at you properly, “Don't tell me you like him, I’ll barf.” She continued with wide eyes to emphasize her disgust. You looked at her with a raised brow, not saying anything. Phoebe almost choked on her drink, covering her mouth as she properly drank her drink. “Oh my god, is that why you’ve been ditching me?” She asked, fists lightly hitting the table as she tilted her head, mouth open a bit.
You were confused about this entire conversation, you crossed your arms at her accusation. “Ditching you?” You asked, shaking your head, trying to process what she was saying. Phoebe nodded as if it were obvious, “Yeah, you’ve been ditching me.” She said slowly, her mouth spinning into a frown. “Is it to hang out with him?” She asked, a little louder than her previous comment, hands clasped together in front of her onto the table. You dropped your crossed arms, placing them on each side of the seats. “First of all,” You spoke, voice harsher than you meant it to be, causing Phoebe to put her hands in her lap. “I haven’t been ditching you.” You continued on, closing your eyes to take a deep breath. “Second of all, I have friends other than you and Max.” You informed Phoebe, reminding her that you have plenty of other friends who wished to spend time with you.
Phoebe looked away, refusing to look you in your eyes. She blinked, nose twitching slightly, “I see you guys, when you hang out.” She spoke quietly, facing you once more, not looking in your eyes. “The museum, the park, even here!” She continued, listing it out. You tried to get her to look at you, facing yourself in her eyesight. “Okay? Is that really that much of a problem?” You asked honestly, your eyes soft. Phoebe looked in your eyes immediately, practically yelling out, “Yes!” Your eyes were slightly wide, you expected that response, you just didn’t expect her to say it so quickly. “Why?” You asked, breathily, shaking your head in disbelief. “He’s my brother!” She whisper yelled, face slightly irritated that you weren’t getting it. All you could think and say was, “So?”
Phoebe leaned back into the cushions of the booth they sat in. She took a deep breath in, sighing the same one out. She closed her eyes, “I’m sorry.” She mumbled, looking at you once again, with a more apologetic look. “I’m  just worried he’s hanging with you more to get under my skin.” She expressed, taking another sip of her drink, almost as if she didn’t just say that. You paused, biting your lip, eyes searching Phoebe's body language for clarification before resorting to just asking. “What do you mean by that?” You asked, looking down at the ice in your drink. Phoebe lifted her brow, messing with her straw, not looking at you once again. Not like you were looking at her anyways. “I mean that he hasn’t hung out with you until me and you did.” She told you, a frown on her face as she spoke. “You guys being together more is concerning.” She continued on, eyebrows furrowing and mouth cornering to the side. “He would do anything to torment me, he doesn’t care who he hurts along the way.” She finished off, putting her hand up, leaning on it.
Your eye twitched slightly, still looking at the ice swirling in your cup, “Why would you say that?” You whispered, looking up at her. She looked up at you as well, noticing your sad tone. You put your hands up on the table, putting them on top of one another. “Why can’t you just believe he wants to be around me?” You asked, your expression was unreadable to her. Phoebe sucked her teeth, rolling her eyes, “Please, Max has this whole thing where he tries to be ‘edgy’ or ‘evil’.” She spoke, nodding her head along with her words, “He doesn’t have a bone in him that's good.” She continued on taking another sip of her drink. She picked up the tablet to order food and a refill since she was finishing her drink. “I think he does.” You spoke quietly, still looking at her even though she wasn’t looking at you anymore. “I live with him, trust me, he doesn’t. Mom and dad say it’s a phase that will pass.” She kept speaking of him like you didn’t know who he was, like he was a stranger to you that Phoebe was ranting about. You shook your head, “I think that’s a bit much, I don't think he’s evil.” You spoke lowly, confused as to why Phoebe was acting like this. “He likes hanging out with me.” You told her, enunciating each word with narrowed eyes. Phoebe laughed slightly, “Sure…right.” She said, smiling a little, not noticing how her friend was looking at her.
You grabbed your items and stood from the booth, “If you’re just going to keep dogging on Max I think I’d rather pass.” You told her, a blank expression on your face. Phoebe put the tablet down,
“What are you talking about?” She asked, clearly confused, standing up as well. “I’m leaving Phoebe, when you want to be mature, come back to me.” You explained, leaving the booth and the restaurant, leaving Phoebe to stand by herself in Splatburger.
You left Splatburger, texting Max that you wanted to talk to him. He invited you to go over to his place, so you accepted, walking over to his house. You knocked on the door and Nora opened the door, “Hi!” she greeted, waving slightly and letting you in.
You said your hellos to her, walking inside, waving to Billy who waved back to you. “Hey!” He said to you, stepping up the stairs. You walked to the lair, opening the entrance and sliding down, the doorway closing behind you as you landed on Max’s bed like you have multiple times before.
Max was standing, putting a few items together. His ears perked up, hearing your entrance. He turned around and greeted you with a smile, walking to his bed and crawling on it slightly, engulfing you in a hug. Your hardened expression softened as you inhaled his scent, “You smell good.” You mumbled against his shoulder, slightly pouting as you pulled away from him. His eyes shined when he looked at you, “My shampoo does wonders.” He joked, fixing his position so he was just sitting next to you.You smiled gently at him, leaning on him, your mood slightly off, which he noticed. “What’s going on?” He asked you, his bright smile faltering, arm going around your shoulders to hold you close.
You sighed and pulled back, looking down to your hands then back up to his brown eyes. “I was at lunch with Phoebe and…” You paused, hands playing with Max’s blanket that you sat on. He urged you to go on, hands propping himself up as he leaned back slightly. His expression didn’t really tell you much, it was overall neutral. “She was saying some really bad things about you.” You continued, biting the inside of your cheek, looking down sadly. “Saying things like you’re going to hurt me, that you’re with me because you want to torment her.” You continued on, looking up and seeing how his brows furrowed and he was now sitting forward, looking concerned. You waved your hands a bit, “I don’t believe that though!” You reassured him, this comment making him sigh out in relief, holding his chest slightly. “She was just talking really, negatively about you.” You told him, frowning as you shrugged, unsure of how to feel about it all.
Max stood up from his bed and rolled his eyes, sighing. “Of course she was,” He said, completely used to it. “she doesn’t have a good time unless she’s showing her superiority to me.” He sneered, his face a mixture of disgust and anger towards his twin. You looked at him, your eyebrows knitted as you stared at him. “Don’t talk about her like that.” You told him with a frown, disliking that he was now talking about Phoebe. Max turned to you, eyebrows raised, his hand gesturing to you. “You just left lunch because she was talking badly about me!” He spoke in confusion, wondering why he can’t just state how Phoebe acted. “That doesn’t mean I want to hear the same sort of talk about her!” You said in the same tone, eyes wide.
The two of you sat in silence for a moment, neither of you looking at each other. After a little while, after thinking for a moment, you stood up, standing in front of Max. His eyes lit up as he looked into your eyes, searching them and your expression for how you felt right now. You smiled gently, that made him feel comfortable.
You took his hands in yours, “Max, Phoebe is my friend,” You began, the comment making his gaze flicker elsewhere for a moment, “and you are my boyfriend.” You continued on, wanting his eyes to stay on you. He looked back to you, squeezing your hands, “Okay, so… you choose me over her?” He asked, because that’s what he was getting from this. You shook your head which made him even more confused. “I’m saying that because both of you are trying to make me pick sides.” You told him, letting go of one of his hands and placing it on his shoulder. He shook his head, “No we aren’t-” He tried to start but you cut him off, “by speaking bad about each other, trying to make me think less of each one of you. That’s basically making me pick sides, pick who I think is better.” You told him bluntly, frowning. He tried to lightly shake his head but he realized you were right. “You hate when I hang out with her, she hates when I hang out with you. I hate when you guys act like this.” You continued, letting go of his shoulder and his hand, backing away. Max stayed quiet, trying to study you to see your next move. “Since you guys keep putting me in the middle I don't want anything to do with either of you.” You explained, going up his stairs, Max chasing after you. “Wait!” He called out as you walked into the living room past Nora and Billy who were throwing a football around.
You walked out the door without saying goodbye to the two kids, Max trying to get to you, leaving the front door open as he followed you. Nora and Billy stopped playing their game, Billy holding the football as they listened out.
In the end Max couldn’t reach you, you had gotten away. He cursed in his mind, putting his arms over his head, kicking one of the pots they had outside. Max walked back inside his home, rubbing his hand on his face. He turned and closed the door, forehead on the wood of it, his arm raising and his fist resting above his head.
Steps were heard near him, but he made no other movement. “Max?” His little sister's voice called out, this caused him to turn his body to her, arm still leaning on the door. He took a deep breath and put on a small smile. “Yeah Nora? What’s up?” He asked, biting the inside of his cheek, looking at the girl with a rather large bow in her hair. Nora looked at the door and then to Max, looking up at her older brother with a frown, that’s when Max knew she was going to say something about you. “They looked so…” Nora paused, trying to find a word, her brows furrowing, fingers messing with her palms. Max sighed, taking his arm off the door. He brought the back of his hand to quickly wipe the underside of his nose slightly, a simple action many do, but Max did it to muffle the sniffle he let out. “Sad? Upset?” Max gave ideas to the girl to what emotion might’ve been expressed on your features. Noras face was softer now, a frown still present, “Angry.” She told him quietly, the word caused Max to look back at the door. “Yeah, that also makes sense.” He sighed, putting his hands into his pockets. “Why does everybody look at you like that Max?” Nora asked, that question caused him to freeze. He bit his cheek even harder as he looked down, tears burning his eyes, “I usually deserve it.” He mumbled out, walking past his sister and pressing the button to his lair, quickly going down the slide, the hatch closing as his figure disappeared.
Nora watched as Max went down to his bedroom, the hatch closed so she was able to see her second oldest brother, Billy. He stood on the end of the staircase, a worried expression mirrored from Nora to his own face. “He looks..really upset.” Billy said, walking over to Nora, both standing and looking at the hatch. A piece of them hoped you would walk back through the door, or that Max would come back upstairs. Neither happened. Noras eyes shifted to Billy, “I think he was about to cry.” She told him, and the older boy looked at her with sad eyes, his lips downturned. Both of them showed pure concern for their older brother, not knowing what to do.
The rest of the day was passing and the sun had set in Hiddenville. Barb, the mother of the household, and Hank, the father, had been setting the table for dinner and calling each of their kids down to eat. Nora and Billy had sat at the table, and Phoebe was walking down the stairs to go eat. Brab stopped her before she sat down, “Phoebe, honey, get your brother and tell him dinner is ready.” She told her daughter, taking a seat and passing around some bread rolls to the youngest. Phoebe's eyes narrowed as her neutral expression contorted to one of annoyance, “Why do I have to do it? Besides, he never likes eating with us anyways.” She said simply, rolling her eyes as she continued walking to the table. Barb gave Phoebe a look, raising a brow and sticking her tongue into her cheek, “Phoebe Thunderman, go get your brother for dinner. Now.” Barb ordered, daring Phoebe to try to speak against it. The girl didn’t even attempt, she held her arms up in surrender before going down the stairs to the basement.
She was clearly annoyed with the fact she had to be the one to get Max for dinner, or the fact they had to get him at all. She opened the door and noticed it was dark, the only thing lighting up the room was the blue LED lights around the ceiling, some on the desks he had around, and in his slide. Phoebe looked around and saw Max’s figure hunched over the edge of his bed, the side furthest from the door and turned away from the doorway as well. He was looking down at something, for all Phoebe knew he could be working on something to prove how ‘evil’ he was, like usual. She knocked on the wall to make him aware of her presence, “Max, Dinner.” She said bluntly, but received no sort of response. Due to that she snapped her fingers at him, “Hello? Dinner, upstairs, come on.” She stated, rolling her eyes and dropping her hand once he didn’t respond, again. “Whatever.” She said, turning to go upstairs until she heard a sob escape Max. She turned back to face him, not moving further into the room. “Max?” She asked, softer than usual.
Max was on the edge of his bed scrolling through his phone, looking at the messages he had been sending to you all day that were left undelivered.
He couldn’t contain his sobs, he started crying the moment he got back into his lair, and he was finding it really hard to stop. “They were perfect for me, Phoebe.” He muttered out, “They were perfect, they are perfect.” Max whispered, eyes glossed over as he gently sniffled. “I like them so much, I…” He gasped out, hand to his nose to stop himself from breaking into uncontrollable sobs in front of Phoebe. “I love them.” He spoke, his voice cracking as he tossed his phone to the side, putting his face in his hands. “I loved them so much that I wasn’t thinking about anything or anyone else, just them.” He continued, his voice was raspy, scratchy. Phoebe's eyes widened, she was blinking, lost in his words. “Were you guys?” She asked, not finishing her thought, closing her mouth once she heard his sniffles start up again. He wiped his tears, clearing his throat, “You ruined the one good thing I had.” Max stated, blinking back more tears.
Phoebe stood quietly, the statement caused her to blink slightly in confusion. She didn’t know how to feel at the display in front of her, he’s never talked so openly about his feelings with her.
Max sighed out, messing with his fingers in his lap. “The one person who didn’t try to change me and actually liked me, actually listened to me and they’re gone.” He continued on, looking to the ceiling. “Max you…” Phoebe started but paused, trying to find the right words, “They were my friend Max.” She mumbled, kicking the ground. Max turned to her quickly, his eyes were red and puffy, he looked terrible, “They were my everything Phoebe!” He yelled with a glare, before hiccuping a sob. “They were everything to me!” He said, much quieter, his voice hoarse so it didn’t get any louder. Phoebe could see his eyes glossing with tears, like they would pour any second. She looked down to the floor, she didn’t know why she couldn’t look at him. “You talk about them as if they can’t be friends with you and be with me at the same time, that is exactly why they broke up with me!” He yelled, pointing to his phone that showed his lines of messages to you that were left undelivered due to you blocking him. He put his hands on his temples. “God, and I thought…” He started, choking up slightly, he sniffled harshly, clearing and calming himself for a moment. He placed his hands down, looking at her. “Thank you Phoebe.” He suddenly said, a frown on his lips. “For what?” Phoebe asked, her voice quiet as she slightly looked up at him, they made eye contact. He nodded slightly as he spoke, “For showing me which one of us was evil. Because you really proved that it’s not me.”
Phoebe was hugging herself, tears brimming her eyes. She covered her mouth, her face covered in shock. She tried to speak, “I’m-” She was cut off by Max turning back around, “Just go, I’m not hungry.” He mumbled to her. “Max-” “Get out Phoebe!”
She rushed back up the stairs, the family all looking at her, expecting Max to be following her. Phoebe bit her lip, blinking back tears, looking away from them, “Max isn’t hungry, I’m not either.” She said, running up the stairs to her room.
Barb and Hank looked at each other and sighed, shaking their heads at their two eldest children. Billy and Nora on the other hand, were even more worried than they had been earlier.

ᰔᩚ fushiguro megumi x reader, angst, manga spoilers!!!! (chapter 212), violence, death, goryish, established relationship, hurt with no comfort
word count: 358
Tumblr media
Megumi gave you one last look before he was gone. Before his body fell victim to Sukuna’s overpowering one.
The glance in his eyes told you all you needed to know: he wanted you to run. Run like you never had before, as if you were Itadori but better.
You saw the changes that came next. The black lines starting to cover the body you cradled in your arms at night, the two eyes forming at the bottom of the eyes that looked at you with love, the lips you kissed softly curling into a deep cruel smirk. The most prominent was the voice change; it was raspier, deeper, no longer the voice that whispered “I love yous” when he thought you weren’t listening.
Megumi was gone. Gone to the one you all hated above anything: Sukuna.
Itadori could only stare in fear at what had transpired. This wasn’t supposed to happen. He was supposed to stay as Sukuna’s vessel and die with him. It was the pink haired boy’s burden alone, not Megumi’s, yet he had no say in what had happened.
“Megumi?” you whispered out, not willing to believe what had unfolded in front of your very eyes.
Megumi, or rather, Sukuna didn’t bother to dignify you with an answer, and instead went straight for you after Itadori.
His hand curled around your neck, tightening its grip as you fought against it. His sharp nails digged into your throat, drawing blood.
It was a heartbreakingly bloody scene to watch as you tried to break Sukuna’s hand away, knowing you wouldn’t do anything to hurt Megumi, even if it wasn’t him anymore.
“I love you, Megumi,” were your last words before he tore your throat out and dropped your frail body like it was nothing.
He knew he’d crush the boy’s spirit by going after you, killing you with his own hands, and watching as you took your last breath while he could do nothing, but let you slip through the cracks of his hands.
If Sukuna were to look deep inside him, he would be able to hear the black haired boy’s soft hidden cries.

Dragons live much longer than humans. Archons are practically immortal. These two facts barely ever crossed his mind until you mentioned something to him one night. He'd wrapped his arms around you, and you'd hummed. He asked what was on your mind. "You'll outlive me," was all you replied with, before drifting off to sleep.
He didn't like that idea for obvious reasons. He thought about his mortality much more often after that. He loathed it. He despised how he was destined to live on without you. It was unfair. He loved you so much, more than anyone else before, and you'd only be there for a blip of time in contrast to forever. It was as if Celestia was laughing at him.
He began talking with Baizhu more, hoping against hope that his rumored searches into immortality could bring about anything to keep you here longer than was meant to be. He found nothing from Baizhu, so he began reading. He seemed desperate, suddenly putting more effort into extending your life than living his own. Hu Tao could only watch on in pity.
When you did pass, he didn't know what to do himself. All his reading, his research, his own experimenting built off of Baizhu's work. All of it was for nothing. He visits your grave everyday. It's surrounded by hundreds of flowers. Xiao tags along sometimes; he knew you were loved by Zhongli.
He said he'd never love anyone after you, and he was correct. He never even toyed with the idea. You were his one and only, and no others could ever compare.

Embers of the past. // Aemond Targaryen x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
WARNINGS: ANGST, war, grief, loss, major character death(s), hurt/no comfort, tragedy + not proofread
WC: 1.1k
A/N: first time writing pure angst IDK 😭 I couldn't sleep and I wrote this short fic so uhm 😀
He reminisced about you quite often, about the moments you both spent together; in youth and in adulthood.
“Aemond?” You call out his name and he wakes up from his slumber, your face hovering over his as the sunlight scatters around your form because of the way you blocked it with your head.
“Y/N?” He groans, rubbing his eyes as he properly sat up, fully awake now, “Yes, It is me, The septa is looking for you at the request of Ser Criston Cole” You tell him, and he looks around, “You know how she is, He will say how un-princely it is to fall asleep under the godswood!” You pull him by his arm, rolling at the thought of the septa lecturing you both, and he gets up, before brushing off the dust from his clothes.
“Let us go now, otherwise You'll be late for your training.” You quickly urge him, dragging him along by the arm and he stumbles forwards but immediately picks up pace. “Will you be watching me train again today?” He asks and you nod eagerly, “I love seeing you train.” you reply, causing him to blush before locking your arm with his and moving to the training grounds.
He remembered how in his youth you used to stare at him in awe whenever he trained, that stare never changed, it felt as though you always saw a side of him that no one ever did, your eyes filled with pure admiration, solely for him alone.
He admired you as well.
His admiration grew with age, as you both grew up, it turned into an emotion that would soon engulf you both into pieces, burn you both alive in its flames of passion. Love.
He loved everything about you.
The way you spoke, the way your voice would become a pitch higher whenever you talk of your interests, the way your eyes would gleam with brightness as you stared at him, the way your face would brighten up when you would see him.
He adored you so much.
So why is that your eyes which once beamed so brightly seem soulless? Your face is void of any expression which was once always smiling, your body so cold to the touch, no longer providing the warmth he once basked in. Why?
His grip on your body tightened as he was lost in thought, “My prince…” Ser Criston's Cole’s voice was filled with nothing but pity, but why was it filled with pity anyway?
He remembers now.
You had died.
Taken away from him, a cruel punishment for his action of accidentally slaying his own nephew, his own kin. He couldn't save you in time as the men sent by Daemon Targaryen had arrived before he could even reach out.
He walked into a room where the floor was covered in blood, your body lying amidst it with your gown stained with your own vital fluid.
He thought he had lost a part of him even forever when he lost his eye, but the day he lost you was the day he lost himself.
He became a ghost of a person he was before, his mind filled with nothing but grief and sorrow, Did he truly deserve it? You had done nothing wrong to be the victim of such a crime, it should be him that should be dead because of his own actions, not you.
Yet the gods were cruel.
Aemond, turned mad, unable to deal with the grief that weighed upon him so heavily which he turned to endless training and bloodshed, venting his frustrations out in such a way.
Till he met Alys Rivers.
“I know of the troubles you suffer from my prince, I can help you.” She had told him the moment he met her, and he scoffed, almost chuckling at her stupidity, “I know the sorrows that weigh upon you, my prince, the way you dearly miss her.” It was what caught Aemond's attention, how did she know of you? The only ones that knew were the ones closest to him.
“I can help you avenge her, but…” Those first few words were enough for Aemond to agree with Alys, she need not say more, in return, he helped her live a secure life than before, providing protection to her while she exchanged the visions she used to see.
It was all what led to the moment.
Him facing off his uncle above the God's eye.
The dragons roared as the fight begin, attacking one another for few minutes, struggling to gain the upperhand until Vhagar caught Caraxes by the neck, causing the dragon to panic and yank Daemon off, but Daemon held on tightly, his plan changing, jumping off his dragon in a suicide-mission to deliver the final blow to Aemond.
Yet he failed and fell to his death.
Aemond thought he had won, and that he had finally avenged you.
But he plummeted from the skies, watching both the dragons fight above him, he was knocked off from his dragonback when Caraxes lunged at Vhagar in order to avenge his rider,
As Aemond descended through the air, he had remembered what Alys had said to him. “You will see her once again after defeating your uncle.”
He understood what it meant now.
He reminisced about everything, everything leading up to now, each and every moment he spent with you, suddenly he felt alive as each second passed on and time moved forwards, how ironic as he was falling to his death. Yet it did not feel that way to him, he did not feel the doom anyone would feel nearing their death, instead he felt more alive than he ever did in the days he spent living without you.
Even as the air felt like a million spikes being shoved into his body, he found peace in it, the way the harsh air penetrated through his clothes and hair felt anything but terrible, contrary to it, he oddly found solace.
The waters welcomed his body as though they were waiting for him, Aemond found it harder to breathe, yet he did not struggle; simply closing his eye and welcoming death, accepting his fate. He felt as if he was only mere moments away from you.
Maybe in death, he won't be separated from you.
Even in his final moments, his mind refused to wander off to anywhere but you.
As the life left his body, he had only one thing in his mind.
Your face that smiled ever so brightly and warmly at him, just as the way you used to.

You lived the dream life. You were married to the love of your life, you had a darling young girl you’ve adopted, and you were loved by your small family unconditionally.
Or... so you thought. That all changed when you found out your husband’s secret. A spy... he was sent on a mission to get married and have a child. Your entire relationship... was it all a lie?
Tears stream down your face as you process the information time and time again. All of it... was for some mission of his? Did he ever even love you? You weren’t even sure at this point.
You were currently curled in a ball on the bathroom floor, your back pressed against the door. The man in question spoke to you softly on the other side, asking for you to open the door and let him explain. You don’t respond, continuing to drown in your sorrow.
Every minute that crawled by felt like an hour. Loid kept calling to you, his voice filling with more concern as you continued to stay silent.
“Y/n... please... open the door. Let me explain, you’re worrying me.”
“Don’t lie to me, Loid. I’m done with these mind games.” You whisper, your voice hoarse with sorrow.
“Y/n... I-I don’t know what to say to that. Please... open the door.”
“Why? So you can lie to me more? So you can gaslight me? So I can melt into your eyes and go back to believing that everything is okay?”
“Y/n... please.”
“No, Loid. I’m done. I’m so done with letting you control me by playing with my feelings. It was all a lie... wasn’t it.”
Loid hesitates, his voice faltering as he attempts to fix the mess he made.
“And Anya? She’s a part of your sick game too, isn’t she?” You mutter, your tears drying against your skin. Your sorrow was slowly growing into acceptance.
“She is a part of my mission, yes.” He whispers.
You let out a low chuckle filled with bitterness. “And what? What happens once your mission is finished? Do you leave? Stay with us? End us? End *me* now that I know?”
“No, I wouldn’t ever kil-” his voice falters once more.
You let out a low laugh that expressed your pain perfectly. “You’re a pathetic excuse as a father. I used to think you were so good to Anya. That you were the perfect father for her- but you plan on *leaving* both of us. Or do you plan on making it worse!? Are you going to end me and leave her in that run-down orphanage again!?” You snap, standing up.
You feel your acceptance turning into anger as you throw the bathroom door open, glaring up at the man you once called yours.
“Y/n I-”
“Why Loid!? Why do you plan on ruining our lives?!”
“Y/n it’s not that simple.” He sighs, moving aside to give you a path. You take it, storming out of the bathroom. You pace around the living room and kitchen.
“Don’t give me that. You played friends until you captured my heart, gave me a flimsy love confession-” he flinched “-and then slid an *engagement* ring on my finger for some stupid mission!?”
He opens his mouth to speak, but you don’t give him the chance to speak. “What about Anya!?” You yell, shoving a finger into his chest. Your anger boiled over at the thought of your precious little girl. She’s been through several homes already; she can’t go back to that horrid orphanage.
“I-”
“Are you going to leave us!? Kill me and leave her as an orphan again!? Tell me, Loid!” You demand, staring into his eyes. You used to think you would never treat him like this no matter how angry you got... but the thought of your baby losing another family threw out all self-control.
“You know me better than that, y/n.” Loid sighs.
“I don’t Loid. I used to think that you were a good man that worked hard to support his family, but I was wrong. All you are is a selfish pig who cares about nothing but himself.” You spit.
Loid’s eyebrow twitches. You don’t notice.
“Anya deserves better than this, Loid! Were you really planning on leaving us alone once your mission is finished!? Were you going to give us a goodbye or were you going to just leave!?”
He still doesn’t say anything. Your anger slowly boils over, every second he ignores you adding another drop into the already over-filled cup of self-restraint. “I... do not know what I was going to do.”
Another drop falls, spilling the rage over. You pull yourself away, so you don’t physically lash out. “I can’t believe I loved you!? I can’t believe that I trusted you, Loid! Was it all fake!?”
Loid doesn’t respond.
“Was it fake!” You repeat, trembling with rage and hurt. “Answer me!”
Loid has an unreadable expression on his face as he looks into your eyes. “Yes, it was fake...” his eyes twinge with something you can’t read. Shrugging it off, you desperately try to hold yourself together.
“So every time you said you loved me back. It was all a lie?”
“Yes...”
“Every time you told *Anya* you loved her back. It was a lie!?”
An unreadable look in his eye makes your lip tremble. “Yes...”
“So, you were planning on leaving us? All along?”
“Stop asking questions, it’s annoying.” His gaze hardens.
“Loi-”
“I said, stop asking questions.” He glares down at you. “I do not love you, nor Anya. Either keep quiet and continue to help with my mission, or you will no longer be needed.”
You feel something crack deep inside you. You try to hold yourself together as your hands shake uncontrollably. “I hate you.” You whisper. Loid flinched, watching you walk to the guest room. You close the door, locking it behind you.
Once the door closes, you break down once more. Falling to the floor as your body is wracked with sobs.
~~
Hours pass by before you come out again. Loid was sitting on the couch, reading a book. You would have smiled at the simplicity earlier this morning, but now all you feel is numb. You slip a pair of slippers on, grabbing your keys.
“Where are you going?” Loid speaks up, his gorgeous blue eyes finding yours. You turn away, refusing to maintain eye contact.
You don’t respond, walking out the door. Loid lets out a long sigh but doesn’t follow you.
~~
“A-and then Sy-on boy made fun of Becky! I didn’t punch him though mama! I smiled like you said!”
“Good job baby.” You mumble, a plastic smile on your face. The words of your precious girl weren’t registering in your head, you were too focused on the fact that your husband- ex-husband? You don’t even know anymore- is really planning on leaving both you and Anya when his mission is over.
Glancing in the rear-view mirror, you see Anya close to tears. You immediately go into protective mode, your eyes hardening as you pull over. “Anya what happened sweetie? Did something happen at school? Are you being bullied? Did someone hurt you??” You bite your bottom lip to confine your rage, the metallic taste of blood staining your tongue.
“N-no mama! Nothing happened at school!” Anya sniffled, trying to contain her tears.
“What is it baby? You can tell me, I’m your mama.” You coo, rubbing her hair gently, pressing a comforting kiss to her forehead.
“I-I u h... umm...” Anya starts to sweat, looking around the car.
“Shhh it’s okay baby. You can tell me.”
“B-Bond ate my peanuts!” Anya blurts out, showing you an empty bag of peanuts. There was no sign of damage from your family dog, she must have just forgotten that she ate them, which happens frequently.
“Oh baby, it’s okay. We can buy more, alright? Next time tell mama what the problem is so we can fix it, m’kay?”
“Yes mama.”
“That’s my smart girl.” You kiss her forehead once more, savoring the relationship you have with her. You’ve always wanted to be a mother, and Anya fulfilled that desire. You were hoping you and Loid could have a few of your own one day, but that’s not going to happen...
You make sure Anya is buckled before moving back to your own seat, strapping your seat belt on before pulling back onto the road.
~~~
“Daddy! Look at what mama got me!” Anya squeals in excitement, bursting through the front door. She runs into the kitchen where Loid was pacing, embracing his legs. He flinches at the sudden entrance, but gives the girl a small smile, leaning down to her level.
You walk in afterwards, shutting and locking the door. “Anya, don’t forget to change!” You call, placing a few grocery bags on the kitchen counter.
“Yes mama!” She calls, pouting up at Loid.
He chuckles, leaning down to ruffle her hair. “Go listen to your mother, Anya. And don’t let her see you with your shoes on the carpet, alright?” He smiles, an amused twinkle in his eye.
You would have melted at the scene... if you didn’t know.
Loid catches your gaze, causing you to frown. Even though he’s planning on completely ruining not only your life, but Anya’s he looks so... relaxed.
You open your mouth to say something, when you notice it.
His eyes... were red. Your frown deepens... you’ve only seen Loid cry once, and he never mentioned it when you did.
It was before Anya, in the first few months of your marriage. You had woken up in the middle of the night to see him whimpering in his sleep.
He whimpered “mom” and “dad” several times, tears slipping down his cheeks as he cried for anyone to help him. You gently woke him out of his nightmare, pulling him to your chest. He was shocked from the whiplash of being in such a traumatizing past one moment to being in your arms the next.
He let you cradle him to your chest, his head comfortingly resting on your breasts. You stroked his hair, murmuring soft words of comfort to him, letting him recover from the terrifying dream.
You laid with him for several hours before falling back asleep yourself. You don’t know how long he held onto you, but he was up the next time you woke up. He hasn’t mentioned it, and he probably never will.
Words catch in the back of your throat. Before you’re able to formulate anything, Anya catches your attention. You look back at your red-eyed husband once more before turning to your little girl.
“Anya, what have I told you about taking your shoes straight away?” You gently scold, lifting her off of the carpet.
“Sorry mama!” Anya’s cute pout makes your heart melt, causing you to grow even softer. You sigh, placing her down in the entrance of the home.
“Just take them off now and do better next time, alright?”
“Yes mama!” Her giggle was worth the stress. You smile fondly at your baby girl, watching her take her shoes off.
“Y/n.” Loid whispers, wrapping his arms around your waist, burying his head in your neck. You stiffen, clenching your jaw.
“Let go of me.” You whisper, biting your lip.
“Y/n, let me talk.”
“Let go of me.”
“Y/n-” his voice cracks.
You pull away, walking over to Anya. Loid’s voice cracks again. You don’t turn to look at him. If you looked at his guilt-ridden face for too long, you would break.
~~
Later that night. You were silently washing the dishes after Anya went to bed, your expression unreadable. Loid was in the living room, watching you work. He sighed, running a hand through his blonde locks. “Y/n?” He murmured.
You don’t respond, your eyebrow twitching in irritation. Loid let out a strained sigh, standing up. He takes a step towards you, hesitating.
“Y/n, please don’t ignore me...”
You don’t say anything, biting your lip to maintain a calm composure... well as calm as you’re able to be.
“Y/n.” His voice grew sharper as he steps into the dimly lit kitchen, his voice full of frustration and a hint of something you can’t understand.
You continue to ignore him, causing him to let out another sigh, longer this time. “Y/n please.” He steps closer.
Your fingers dig into your palms as you continue to ignore him. Your shoulders tremble from intense emotion, tears bubbling in the corners of your eyes.
“Y/n...” he whispers, gently wrapping his arms around your waist. He gently takes your hands, intertwining your fingers so your nails dug into his hands instead of your own. You lift the pressure, not wanting to hurt him.
“Let go of me.” You whisper, your voice trembling.
“Y/n, just let me explain.” He whispered in your ear. Your breath hitched at his warm breath on your skin, wanting to give in to his comfort and break down in his arms. You get a hold of yourself, stiffening in his hold.
“I don’t want to hear you explain.”
“Y/n-”
“Loid. Let go of me.”
“Baby. Baby listen.” He whispers, shaking as he holds you close to his chest. You gasp softly, tears slipping down your cheeks. Loid has rarely used pet names for you, telling you that he thought it was childish and would much rather call you by name. You didn’t mind it, but it did make you feel so loved when you heard any pet name from his lips.
“My love, it’s not what it looks like. Let me explain. Let me earn your trust back, just please... Please don’t leave. Don’t take my beloved away, don’t take our baby girl.” He sniffled, causing you to stiffen.
Was he... about to cry...?
You don’t protest any further, letting him talk. He hesitates at first, holding you tighter as he buries his face in your neck. “You’re right. This started as a mission. I was tasked to get a wife and child, enroll the child in Eden Academy, and get information on a man that is a great risk to us. It *started* as nothing but a mission, without any feelings attached.” Loid muttered, sounding exhausted and... ashamed?
“Y-you don’t love me? Or Anya?” Your voice cracked with inexpressible hurt.
“No! No baby I do. I love you; I love you to the moon and back. I love you more than myself- more than anyone, anything! And Anya too! I would do anything for my girls.” Loid quickly protests, holding you tighter, like he was afraid of letting you go; like you would disappear if he ever let you out of his hold.
“B-but you said...”
Loid spins you around, looking you dead in the eye as he fondly cradles your face, his thumbs gently wiping your tears away. “In the beginning, it was all for my mission. I’ll be dead honest y/n. When I met you, when we dated, I had zero feelings for you. But that changed. I fell in love with you-” his voice cracks, tears streaming down his own cheeks, “-I saw you for you saw how much you loved me, how perfect you are... that love confession was real. My love for Anya is real. And I would rather be gruesomely killed than ever let anything happen to my girls. I would- nor could never leave either of you. You are my world, and I cannot live without you.”
Your tears quickened as you stared into the eyes of your husband, truth and overwhelming guilt swimming in their deep blue depths. You choke on a response, tears dripping off your chin.
“Shhhh it’s okay baby.” He whispers, pulling you to his chest. He caresses your head, leaning his lips against your forehead. He kisses your forehead slowly and lovingly, adding another and another to the pile as you break down in his warm, comforting arms.
“I promise baby. I would never leave you. I could never leave you. You are my world, my universe, my everything. I am nothing without you and our little girl. Our beautiful little girl.” He whispers, kissing your tears away.
As you sob into his chest, he gently and lovingly dries off your hands before lifting you into his strong arms. He carries you to bed, cradling you to his chest as he lays down, cooing comforting words.
You peacefully fall asleep in his arms, your face buried in his chest as you sob, listening to his soothing words as he slowly strokes your head and back.
