NGHNGH I KNEW I WOULD GET ONE OF THE BAD ONES XD.

I’m the queen of embarrassing myself, but… getting shitfaced on my uncle’s birthday party might be the champion. I don’t even drink, I hate alcohol, but there was a super sweet beer there and I kinda liked the taste, and hey, drinking a bit wouldn’t be so bad, right…? Wrong. After my forth can, I tried to get up and… noticed I couldn’t. And all went downhill from there. I started giggling like crazy at anything said to me, I couldn’t stay up for my life, and I almost threw up in front of the entire family until my father took pity on me and dragged me home.

And this is the story about how I decided I would never drink anymore.

Mornings are a blinders-on series of tasks before he makes it through the door, and evenings are half-a-mind’s attention paid to the driveway out front so he knows when to stay in his room.

The only noises were the whirring of the fan, the buzzing of the refrigerator, and the persistent dripping of the kitchen sink. She counted each tap of water against stainless steel, working it into a beat; working the soundscape into a symphony. Jirou took each step, each tiny movement, in a calculated manner, as if they fit into that song. Every so often, her toenails would scrape against the white tile floor, and her breath would hitch in her throat at the interrupted rhythm, before she regained that beat. Her heartbeat was her metronome.

It’s hard to make out the guard’s eyes in the darkness, but they’re set and serious, trained on Hitoshi’s hands. They’re also bright, alight with a sharp attention that only comes as the result of ignored heady pain.

Hitoshi vaguely wonders how they might shine in the sunlight, if they bring such a glint in this moonless dark.

The new wave music blared through Izuku’s car radio when he spotted a familiar face in his rearview mirror. It wouldn’t be out of place for him to see one of the fellow brethren sitting on the railings of the highway when the world was coming to an end. That was the reason Izuku wanted one last drive around the mountain, one last look at the morbid skies before they all vanished into stardust. He just never thought of Katsuki to be the type to stare into the distance, waiting for the apocalypse to play like some corrupt comedy.
