Ok, I'm throwing my wretch into this dumpster pile.

When are people going to stop fighting about who pulled the trigger first? Like it fucking matters anymore, like this stupid gaslighting argument should be the main focus.

First of all, literally, all of us know it's Israel. They aren't hiding it. Seriously, take a look at their Twitter yourself. There is evidence everywhere, and even more leaking like heavy rain from all over the damn world. From dutiful reporters to the world leaders themselves who support this painful crap.

Second of all, Israel is bombing the Hell outta Gaza right now as we speak, and Israel wears Palestinian shredded blood like a badge of honor. Like they're doing the world a noble favor with these innocent Palestinian deaths, like they have any real fucking authority over these people who have been shitting in fear of them for years upon years.

It's fucking genocide, it shouldn't take fucking Einstein to figure out its the absence of morality and endless violence surrounding all these bombings is why you should be against it entirely, don't matter who threw the rock first, Israel is the one directly causing the damn problem. It doesn't matter the argument because arguing about it doesn't help anyone in the least. Why are we so focused on world leaders defending themselves when we need to be thinking about the current people actually suffering? Buried several yards underground, neath rubble, and destoryed buildings from all the terrorist bombs dropped on their heads?

We should be grouping together as a singular fucking force to plan out how to help the Palestinians, move all the wounded safely and properly defend any future life that will be lost to Israel's childish tarutum. Talking about and solving the problem, addressing it fully from all sides; we have the moral minds to do so, the power to back it up, so many medical aids willing to put in the hard work to hold and treat the affected.

But the world leaders are doing nothing about it, just sitting in their chairs watching their fellow hypocrites kill innocent babies and families while eating popcorn. It's disgusting, and I'm so deeply ashamed of my country right now.

I really enjoy skz-code when they play fun games. I’m not sure if it’s a regular show by now like Gose but the kids’ interactions are so cute and fun! I also recommend Finding SKZ (God’s Edition) since it’s what got me into them in the first place and their Kingdom week special. Reminds me that their Kingdom performances were so so good too so I recommend checking the stages from there too!

2020-2021 (lockdown) since i saw vienna by wilbur soot, zen by x ambassador, brightly above by brittain ashford (one of my favourite of all times)

it depends on my mood a lot, the currently songs are all v energetic and happy,, but ask me like last month and you would have gotten very chill somewhat sad songs (e.g. lover is a day by cuco, or why do you love me [acoustic] by charlotte lawrence)

if you can't tell by all that ramble, my music taste is a bit all over the place,, but i am v happy to give song recs and stuff (i have a 1000+ song playlist so i'm not short of songs fjdk)

AVERY

The next two months may have been the worst time of Avery's life. Poverty, attempts on her life, pressure of the world, nothing compared to this. She threw herself even more into her work, tried not to be in the house that suddenly felt so lonely. Jameson and her didn't spend every waking moment together, even before everything went to hell, but he'd always be there. Making mischief, speeding cars on the track, sunbathing in the solarium or jumping off of his beloved climbing wall. She could feel him being there, and that was a great comfort. Now it felt so empty.

Jameson was still in the UK. He had come home for Christmas and New Year's, though. But the Hawthorne House was big enough for him to never see her.

She had to do something. Just because he told her to go away doesn't mean she'd just obey.

The next day, Alisa was in her office with Gray.

"Alisa. I need you to research every loophole on this."

The next few hours, the for of them discussed every possible outcome regarding her… proposition.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Avery?" Grayson asked her, even though he jumped on board with the idea.

"Yes."

"Hey, Priscilla."

"Oh dear! Get inside, you all."

"That's okay. Is Jameson not home?" That was Xander, peeking in.

"Oh no, sweetie. He's in London. He had been since his mot was here two weeks ago."

Avery frowned. "A mot?"

"The blonde one."

"What's her name?"

"Don't know, girl. Mario tells me she's the Countess of Caithness. Real charmer."

Mario was the security at the front gate. No doubt they'd talked around. Even the media had gotten the hint they weren't together anymore. Their theories only made her feel worse.

Avery tried to mask her disappointment. He was flying around the globe like it was a ball, but he'd only come home for the sake of holidays. Just when she'd tracked him down, he was in London.

She was nervous on the flight there, and Xander tried using his distraction skills to it's best.

"What do you think he's doing in London? You know, other than getting into trouble."

Avery ignored that and voiced her fears thoughts instead, "do you think he's dating someone?"

"Probably." Said Lyra, casually sipping on her Manhattan. "What? It could happen. He's single and a Hawthorne. It could even be that blonde." She shrugged when Grayson glared at her.

Jameson was not in his apartment, not at the mercy, and not with Simon. Max had stumbled into a famous bookstore. After Avery started panicking again, Lyra tried to redeem herself for her previous taunting, and dragged them to her favourite bar place in the city.

"You need to chill. Come on, the Manhattan on the flight has started losing its effect, anyway."

Inside the club, called The Onyx, Avery realised how fucked up a sense of humour life had, when she saw Jameson… with a girl.

"We did not go through so much trouble with Sheffield Grayson just for you to commit murder yourself," Grayson said, warning Avery, her dagger eyes on Jameson and the pretty blonde sitting together. He proceeded to say something that made them both laugh a lot and she touched his arm. It was his real laugh, which only made her more jealous.

"Gray's right. Max says it's harder to hide bodies in winter." Why Max knew that, no one knew. "Besides, don't you need to, you know, be married to be Countess?"

"Caithness is in Scotland, Xan. Some women there can just inherit the title. As a matter of fact, she's on google. Unmarried." She showed him a Wikipedia page.

While Lyra and Xan kept chattering, Jameson had spotted them. She waved at him. They got up and came toward them.

The blonde put out her hand, "Bridget. Nice to meet you." Avery put aside the most vivid fantasies she had sitting there of pulling the hand that touched him and burn it, and shook it instead. "Avery."

After initial introductions, avery excused herself to the bathroom.

Stay cool, calm, and collected.

"Heiress."

Avery turned around to see Jameson standing there. She turned around slowly to face him. He looked so beautiful, it hurt. His eyes seemed brighter, somehow. And his face and posture looked more relaxed, like when you water a drying plant. She felt equal parts guilty and ashamed that it took him leaving her to feel like himself again.

"I have to tell you something." He just nodded. Her heart was thumping rapidly in her chest.

"I gave up the Hawthorne foundation. It officially belongs to Grayson now." Jameson was shocked. He blinked twice, as if it wasn't real and all in his head.

"How? I thought you couldn't-"

"I told you, I'm not letting you go. Not now, not ever. But i had too many expectations from too many people. I had to release some of it. So, I researched every loophole the past couple of months, and made it official, it can't be undone now. And i wouldn't have it any other way." She always knew the Hawthorne foundation was what Grayson really missed about losing the inheritance, and she had her own foundation, her own purpose.

She kept talking, if he wasn't going to.

"So, your girlfriend's nice." The best way to cut out the awkward parts, according to her, was to rip off the bandaid asap.

“I'm not here on a date. Bridget's just a friend,” Jameson said in a small voice.

“Then why…”

"Why did Priscilla say-" his eyes glittered with emotion.

“Because I knew you'd ask her. Because I'm afraid of getting too attached again. I've been fighting against my still-consistent longing for you, and I almost gave in. I don’t…” He inhaled a shuddering breath.

“I’m scared I’ll go back and lose myself again. I’m scared you’ll get comfortable and take back you're words. I can’t go through that a second time, Avery. I can’t.” Avery put her hands on his neck.

"I won't, Jameson. I'll never take us back to that time." She pressed her forehead against his.

“Give us another chance,” she said. “One last chance. I promise I won’t hurt you. I know my promises don’t mean much to you anymore, and that's entirely my own doing, but tell me what you want me to do, and I’ll do it.”

This time, it was her who waited. Waited for so long, she wasn't sure he'd even heard her. When it became clear he wasn't going to say anything, she turned around.

"Heiress."

She hadn't even turned around halfway before Jameson grabbed her hand to gently pulled her toward him…

And kissed her.

normally I would just put this in the tags of a critical post to keep it concise, but sadly rbs have been turned off! I guess dogpiling sucks when it happens to YOU, right? anyways,

just wanted to say that, yeah, it's proper fandom etiquette to tag things. even if they are only mentioned and then later confirmed to not actually be happening in the fic. That said ,, and before we forget, it is not a REQUIREMENT. Just as it's not a requirement for fic writers to post and share their products at all. Just as it's not a requirement to read and consume then. When people provide completely free services (like, say, writing, editing, and publishing and entire novel), and it's entirely up to you on whether or not to consume those services, it's a little weird to make extra demands, no? And especially to inflate these demands to the point of character assassination; not only dogpiling on the author, but all of the authors fandom friends, leading them to delete all of their soc med and hard crafted works in the process.

so you didn't like someone's fanfiction. and it was POPULAR fanfiction! that sucks. But arguments about transphobia, racism, pedophilia, etc. have already been well disputed in the very post I can't reblog, and I think it's abundantly clear that the author should not be punished for following established canon (i.e. Claw's canonical torture of children and Toichiro Suzuki's openly proclaimed eugenicist goals in taking over the world for "superior" ESPers) to a logical conclusion and for adding a layer of realism to the work.

It's not their fault you, quite frankly, didn't think very hard about what you saw and understood in both S1 and S2 of mob psycho. it sucks that it makes you uncomfortable. But it's not a stranger's job on the internet to completely wash their works of anything that reflect messy and uncomfortable reality to coddle you, a voluntary consumer of their media. And a fan writer absolutely should not be punished for producing a canon-universe work, when you yourself are a fan of the canon. The fan author, very obviously, does not condone transphobia, racism, pedophilia, or any other accused thing, just by depicting it in their freely made and voluntarily consumed fanwork. Just as ONE, very obviously, does not condone the torture of children, or child abuse, just by depicting it in Claw's organization and in Shou and Toichiro's relationship.

All of what I've said is about Side Quest, but it's absolutely disgusting that for some reason, the backlash over that specific fic went over mere criticisms of the work to harassing the author. Not only this, but to use the final chapter of Side Quest, and all of the produced fan art within it, as a blacklist of Twitter handles and social medias to then ALSO harass the authors fandom friends is purely unacceptable behavior. If you want an author to tag their works better, simply ask them to do so; do not harass them and their friends. If you want your "fandom" and "ship" to stay alive, you MUST learn how to dislike things normally and respectfully; otherwise, how can you expect people to continue to produce novels for free? At a minimum, you need to recognize that your fellow fans are real, live people and do not deserve targeted harassment, and if you truly believe them to be dangerous, contact a moderation team and avoid their fanworks.

on a personal level, I'm offended that you think I, and many others who genuinely enjoyed Side Quest, lack media literacy. I've always been a fan of canon compliant and divergent fics that follow canon implications to their logical conclusions, especially when that involves recognizing the problematic and uncomfortable aspects of reality. You may have watched mob psycho uncritically, but I did not, nor did I read Side Quest uncritically. I'm frustrated that these projections have led to more of my little joys and favorite thought-provoking fic becoming inaccessible to me, but mostly... I'm sad that these authors shared their works while not fully understanding how uncritical, reactionary, and ungrateful their audience truly was.

Okay okay hear me out- Grayson as a demigod.

Grayson Hawthorne is minding his business, being his imperial stoic self when he uncovers something interesting in Avery’s/ Tobias’s office.

He finds adoption papers. With his name under it.

And he starts freaking out- he’s clearly distraught- that meant he was never a Hawthorne in the first place, is that why Tobias made Avery heir??

And then he comes to the cold realization that if he’s adopted- then his family isn’t even his real family at all.

And his broken by this- coming to the realization that nothing is fully his, Nash, Jamie, Xan, Gigi, Sav- they’ve all only been half siblings- never biological siblings- and now they’re not even his siblings at all.

And so he ices out the world- isolating himself away from everyone, bunkering down in a five star hotel room that he hates with every fiber in his being because he doesn’t deserve it, it’s not his, it never was, he doesn’t belong.

And then he hears a knock on the door.

He opens it warily, only to see Gigi standing there, out of breath and clearly stressed.

“GRAY!” she says, her face flush and relieved, and he notices a clearly confused Savannah behind her.

“Can we come in? Please? We don’t have a lot of time.” Gigi says hurriedly, and barges her way into the room without asking permission, leaving both Gray and Sav extremely confused.

She huffs and sinks down onto the bed and opens her mouth to say something but then shuts it.

They stare at her for a few minutes, waiting for her to continue.

“So uh I have no idea how to tell you this but uh” she starts, fidgeting nervously, setting off all concern alarms in her siblings’ minds.

“So…I haven’t been very honest with the two of you…but Gray, Skye isn’t your real mom. Sav, Acacia isn’t either…” Gigi says, wincing at Sav’s horrified expression, but startles when she sees Gray’s normal one.

“…You already knew, didn’t you.” Gigi whispers, heart breaking as Gray nods without emotion. He wasn’t supposed to find out this way.

The man in question chuckles sourly, and nods “I found adoption papers in the old man’s office. Looks like I was never your brother to begin with.” he says his eyes turning watery for the first time in what seems years.

He scolds himself- Hawthornes don’t cry, they don’t show weakness. And then he remembered he wasn’t a Hawthorne anymore.

Gigi rushes to his side frantically, holding him by his shoulders and forcing him to look into his eyes. “We ARE related Gray- I said Skye wasn’t your mother, not that we don’t share a dad.”

Gray stares at Gigi dumbfounded, and then another question comes to light. “If Skye isn’t my mom, who is?”

Gigi glances at Savannah, who’s still reeling from the shock of the previously delivered news, and the former grabs her hand and squeezes it.

“You guys share one.” Gigi starts off, speaking slowly, treating them like glass.

“Have you guys…ever heard of the Greek gods?”

Gray and Sav nod slowly, unsure of where she’s going with this.

“They’re real.”

Sav recovers first, and chuckles nervously. “Geegs, if you’re religious that’s great- but I don’t see what that has to do with-“

“Sav you’re not listening.” Gigi cuts in. “Your mother is one of the gods.”

Gray and Sav stay still, unsure of what to say. They were people of science, they didn’t believe in God, or anything like that. But the look in Gigi’s eyes said that she knew what she was talking about.

For the first time in forever, Grayson Not-Hawthorne-But-Still-A-Hawthorne-Because-We-Call-Toby-A-Hawthorne was speechless.

No strategic silence- just simply shocked.

And then Gigi chuckles nervously. “And I’m part goat.”

(School Trip)

Part 6 of Sass and Squirrels

When the next morning arrives, Xanxus manages to take about three steps out of the house before going back in.

"Ah? Did you forget something, Xan-Xan?"

He'll just wing it, Xanxus decides. He can out-stubborn the lot of them if it comes down to that. He finds Tsunayoshi still in the bassinet, fist shoved into his mouth. "Come on," he picks his brother up. And yet… "Well, this is going to be difficult." After a moment of consideration, he gets Nana's bag, puts down Tsunayoshi in there with a blanket and a few pillows plus the plushie and nods. Good. As long as he's careful and keeps his backpack on his back and the baby-bag on his front, it should work. "Let's go, Tsuna."

Tsunayoshi can't be bothered to answer but that's ok.

It takes forever to walk down the stairs but he manages, waving absently at Nana who is still in the kitchen. "Bye, ma."

"Bye, bye Xan-Xan!"

Bless her stupidity. It's not a kind thought to have but he isn't over yesterday's blunder.

Xanxus barely makes it in time but he manages, his baby brother in tow and everything. Tsunayoshi is a quiet brat, unless somebody is talking to him. He's content to chew on his plushie's ear in silence under Xanxus's watchful eye. It helps that he's still tired of yesterday's crying spree. So nobody notices him until the first lesson is over and Xanxus pulls him out of his bag.

"Uhm, Sawada?" The teacher walks closer, stopping just in front of Xanxus's spot. "Who do you have there?"

"This is my little brother," Xanxus lifts him a little higher. Sawada is the fucking cutest, he's fine with showing him off sometimes. So long as nobody gets any ideas and everyone keeps their hands to themselves.

"Oookay." She leans down to smile at the brat, cooing when Sawada smiles back. "Does your mom know you have him?"

"Yeah." Probably not, Xanxus amends mentally. He has zero confidence in his mother's observational skills. Then again, he could be wrong. For all he knows Nana noticed and thought nothing of her six year old taking her eight month old with him to school. The woman's sense is shot to hell.

"Sure." The teacher doesn't look convinced but that's a she-problem not a Xanxus-problem.

He does pull the kid away when she tries to reach for him, though. "Don't touch him," he warns. Xanxus should invest on a stick or a knife. Guns are depressingly difficult to come by at his age in Japan.

In front of him, the teacher blinks. "Alright." She claps her hands, straightening up. "How about we call your mama? I'm sure your little brother misses her, don't you think?"

"No," Xanxus shakes his head, not batting an eyelash when Tsunayoshi starts chewing on his shirt. "He likes me better."

She sighs. "Xanxus, I think it's best if we call your mother so she can pick up your brother."

Xanxus thinks of the day before, of coming home to an abandoned Tsunayoshi and leaving his mom's room in ruins. "I think you're wrong."

The teacher sends him a look.

He stares harder.

"Kid," she warns, "I am going to do it."

"I will bite you," Xanxus cuddles Sawada closer.
