One of my favorite things about Xander is the way he just keeps adopting people. Xander tries to be stand offish but then he sees someone a bit childish and immediately adopts them. Besides his own siblings, he also picks up Peri, Laslow (in the beginning of their relationship), Veronica in Heroes, and Takumi in Warriors.

If you haven't seen the Takumi and Xander support in Warriors, definitely look it up. It is really interesting to see how Takumi responds to Xander's approach to getting him to not over train himself versus Ryoma's approach to getting him to not over train himself.

HE'S A BIG BROTHER AT HEART!!! and in every other way ghdjfsjb i think abt how he just started hanging out with veronica in heroes all the time. and that support with takumi was sweet!!! of course it was about training, these dopes. something i rly like abt xander is how readily he'll talk abt his failures sometimes--in a way that he recognizes they helped pave the path leading to where he is now. and relaying those failures to others to try and help (in this case, to takumi) is just. SO big brother of him. ;w; onii-san!!!!

Since I’ve been listening to Leo/need songs for 2 and a half days, it got me thinking a new AU where the FE Engage Lords are childhood friends.

Ok hear me out, it’s been stated that Alfred has maybe met Diamant during their childhoods since Firene had Brodia sign a treaty of some sorts and during war council meetings with the kings and queens of each nation plus Lumera, young Alfred would play with young Diamant and a baby Céline would be in a makeshift play pen with baby Alcryst while their caretakers are making sure none of the kids would go out of control.

Neither Ivy nor Hortensia have canonically known the other royals because of Elusia worshipping of the Fell Dragon, Sombron (therefore the mainline game's war is the only time Ivy and Hortensia met the other royals the first time) but I like to think that if King Hyancith was involved in letting young Ivy and baby Hortensia meeting the other royals, it would have been hilarious asides from King Morion and King Hyancith being at each other’s throats and baby Hortensia unintentionally making baby Alcryst cry despite the latter being a mere three years older than her.

Since Timerra and Fogado are mostly out of the castle and kind of confirmed by Alfred and Diamant that neither met Timerra at all canonically, it would’ve been funny if Queen Seforia one day just bring in her eldest daughter who is around the same age as Alfred but younger than Diamant and her 3-4 year old son because to her it’s Bring your Child to Work Day, that would’ve been the wackiest shit to ever exist.

All in all, I like to think that the Engage Lords should’ve been childhood friends

Sometimes I'll accidentally watch The Phantom (1996) starring Billy Zane on free-to-air tv, and every time it comes *this close* to being my next hyperfixation

love thinking about xander being both the most objectively datable scooby and also the one who cannot fucking get a single date. like he’s got a car (which none of them save giles have for YEARS), starting mid-ish s4 he’s got a steady job, he’s funny, he’s nice, he’s got a good heart and is like genuinely very personable and sweet and interested in people’s lives. he’s really harmless and just a silly funny goofy guy who’d love to hang out and smooch and stuff. as opposed to like, giles, buffy and willow who become bigger and bigger tire fires as the show progresses but still manage to get romantic partners/interest.

like i just think it’d be genuinely really amusing to see the Only Sane Choice for a relationship just never fucking get picked bc it’s the fucking hellmouth and everyone is slowly losing their minds.
