Xia Yao:

I mean, have you SEEN them? Ok, so in the event that you haven't... Xia Yao is a young but accomplished police officer, well-trained in martial arts. He meets his match in Yuan Zong, who runs a bodyguard training facility. Yuan Zong's sister is smitten with Xia Yao, and begs her brother to "help her get him", but her plans backfire when Xia Yao and Yuan Zong develop an interest in each other. Xia Yao joins in with the bodyguards-in-training, ostensibly so he can beat Yuan Zong at his own game. In actuality, it's an excuse for a lot of eye-banging and sweaty shirtless training montages. Which evolve into sweaty shirtless "in bed" montages. Though they have their differences, the relationship that develops between them is intense and undeniable.

Wu Xi:

While JBY doesn't have a shizun status officially, he did act as Wu Xi's tutor for a while, and there are quite a few scenes in the novel of him teaching Wu Xi. Anyway imagine you are Wu Xi. You are 11 years old and your country was invaded and you've been taken as a diplomatic hostage. And they want you to assimilate but you've been chasing out all of the teachers with your venomous pets. And then your prettyboy neighbor is like hiiii :] and YOUR SNAKE (that your carry in your sleeve) LIKES HIM. what are you supposed to do then huh. NOT let him teach you? NOT fall in love with him? NOT steal him away from the future Emperor after using things he taught you to win back your country's independence?

Watching Advance Bravely is me just deciding to ignore all of the frankly baffling decisions that makes no sense whatsoever and appreciate the actual love story.

How is this show real though ? It's so ridiculous, I love it.
