Thinking about how Qi Rong was beaten bloody, hung upside down for hours, is in a lot of pain, but - just because Xie Lian told him to - managed to run dozens of miles to the capital and then the palace to deliver the message that Xie Lian needs help. He then shouts and screams until both Mu Qing and Feng Xin (two guys he doesn't like AT ALL and dislike actually working together) go to help his cousin. And this is just ignored by the entire cast because "that's normal, anyone would do that". Except it's not normal, not everyone could do that. Qi Rong is a pampered prince who doesn't like to train. He definitely used up everything he had and more to achieve this feat!

#i also think it's interesting he doesn't say 'i knew you would come' #when XL comes to save him #because that's the usual reaction of relief when the hero saves a character #but maybe that's because - even then - qi rong wasn't sure if XL would come #did he hang from that tree wondering if this was then end? #wondering if ANYONE would come to save him? #qi rong #xie lian #xian le trio

Xian Le Trio

I just want to read fics about Xian le trio as kids.

I want to read about Xie Lian and Feng Xin's first meeting, about a tiny Fengxin being trained since young to be a companion worthy enough to escort his highness. Just imagining the first meeting between two would be like FX's mentor/father (whoever trained him), taking FX to the palace for the first time and showing him from a distance the person he is supposed to oath his life to. His Highness the Crown Prince a happy bubbly child dressed in fine silk chasing butterflies and feeding the birds,his peals of laughter echoing the entire garden. FX 's eyes brightens and he has a new determination to protect that smile at any cost. After the Banquet ends FX and his mentor are formally introduced to the King and tiny XL is peeking from beside his mother with big ,warm and curious eyes.

The King gives his approval for FX and when FX and XL are introduced; XL happily declares to a young FX that he will wait for him to join his side. FX bows with confidence and a determined spark can be seen reflected in his eyes and then they meet again when both of them are 14 years old!!

And then XL whines for who gave permission to FX to become taller then him!! (And then later on after meeting Mu Qing and when the growth spurts for both FX and MQ and only poor XL is left with his two friends towering him ,it takes 2 straight days for the two of them to coax and convince XL.)

I cannot seem to picturise a scene for Mu Qing as of now ,but I would love to see that in a fic too!!

And then once the Trio is complete I want to see their shenanigans! With XL leading the other two upto no good,always coming up with new ways of mischief.The whole palace knows that if these three are spotted together then surely something is bound to happen. XL giving his parents and his Guoshi grey hairs every now and then and now with the backing up of two trusted companions XL is aiming for something higher and bigger.

What sorts of tricks a crown prince and his companions can play, everyone can give their opinion and headcanons. It would be fun to read!

If someone has fics like these please do recommend me! I will be really grateful. I haven't read much of TGCF Fanfics so I don't know if there are any that focuses on Xian le Trio as kids and their shenanigans.

I crave some content with the Xian Le Trio being friends again and Feng Xing and Mu Qing often visiting Xie Lian at the Puqi Shrine where he lives now with Hua Cheng who he married.

Modern AU where the Xian Le trio had their falling out years ago, but now Feng Xin, and Mu Qing work for the same company, and keep getting put on projects together because their boss is an ass.

They have no idea where Xie Lian is, and avoid talking about him because it always ends up in a terrible fight. Then one day Feng Xin is talking to another coworker, Shi Qingxuan, during a break, and notices a picture posted on "Big Social Media Thing tm." and just about dies because there is Xie Lian, with some dude in red standing in front of an old van.

Shi Qingxuan notices where he's looking, but doesn't really pay attention to his actual demeanor, and explains the pair are husbands who have been traveling the world in that van for years, and documenting it. Shi Qingxuan doesn't know them personally, but has been following them since shortly after they started their journey,(which was originally supposed to be a short road trip.) and thinks they are absolutely the cutest.

Feng Xin shows Mu Qing, and he freaks out because he immediately recognizes the guy in red as the creepy kid who used to follow Xie Lian around all the time.

My brain is having Thoughts again (never a good sign from me tbh) but like modern au where the Xian Le trio are roommates and one of the main reasons Mu Qing specifically does not like Hua Cheng (among many many others) is because every time he comes over, which is becoming increasingly often as his relationship with Xie Lian further develops, he brings a bouquet of flowers so like every single surface of their apartment is fucking covered in flowers and Mu Qing has allergies so he is constantly sneezing and spending like half his paycheck on allegra every month bc Xie Lian’s stupid fucking boyfriend keeps filling their shared living space with flowers. Feng Xin finds the whole debacle incredibly funny

Ok. I don't know about others but I'm really stanning over this Teenage Xian Le era Fengxin.

This is my own perception towards the physical appearance of our Xian le trio after reading what was mentioned in the book. Throughout the book it's always highlighted that how Xie Lian embodies both masculine and feminine features. He is portrayed as beautiful and he can also pull off female disguise if looked from a certain angle.

There's also emphasis given on Mu Qing's beauty ,how he has smooth skin and beautiful hair ,on one occasion he was also described as having a pretty boy face(I guess it could also be a jab towards him caring too much about his Physical appearance and his statues ,but nevertheless he also falls on the beautiful masculine side.

Then we have Fengxin ,who has shown to be possessing Wheat complexion and having thick eyebrows with a tough masculine look altogether.

I feel like XL and MQ are examples of appearance bending towards sturdy, strong, but also feminine side to the point of being described as beautiful.(Note:That XL as a crown prince was represented with a sword in one hand and flower on the other hand and many female worshippers visited him because of his beauty.MQ appears more of a civil God with his grace and elegance then a Martial God ).

FX's design is more of a typical Male protagonist Seme(Ok I agree that before reading MDZS i was biased with the portrayal of a Seme and uke , because this waa how it's always presented in BL ,but MXTX proved me wrong with the dynamics of WANGXIAN, which I would like to discuss in some other post). Anyways back to Fengxin. FX has that big, sturdy and rough built. His features bend more towards the handsome side.

So yah the thing is that MQ and XL are shown to have long hair that falls on their back like a water fall , while Fengxin is always shown in a bun. The bun only helps in highlighting more of those Masculine features and his image as a strong Martial God.I really wanted to see Feng Xin with open hairs. Even fan arts always have a design of him in a bun ,so seeing that Official image of FX in a half bun/pony tail is really a refreshing and welcoming change! FX looks really different in that style ,wearing his hair in a high half pony tail with a guan ,since it looks more like a design that MQ or XL will go with.

But still I really love to see FX with different hairstyles especially open hairs are a feast!!
