Finally got around to trying the benchmark, haven't made a Hrothgal yet, but nice to see Xio still looks pretty after all the changes.
While I'm looking forward to Dawntrail, the story will have to be incredible in order to for me to stick around afterwards. After 10 years of playing I think it's time to demolish my houses, cancel my subscription and move on, returning only for a new expansion if it catches my interest.
All my friends have moved on, PF has collapsed due to DC travel making everyone move to Mana in order to do higher level content, and I struggle to work out how to make friends in the game, and while in the past I was content to be a solo player, after several years I just find it so boring.
I'll give patch 7.0 a good try, see if I can find some sort of community to join and try to make some friends to do things with. We'll just have to wait and see.

With patch 6.5 landing tomorrow, I think it's time to get back into FFXIV after taking a break. Although by taking a break I just logged in once a week to do Island Sanctuary stuff and managed my FC airships... So not much of a break lol.
I think my goals for this patch would be to get back into farming Ex level content, as while I've cleared most of the trials I never got around to farming them for their mounts.
The next main goal would be to change things up a bit. I've been a tank main since mid Stormblood, and I was a DPS during ARR/HW, so perhaps it's time to either go back to being a DPS or finally give healing a try? Xio's canonical job will remain PLD (Although I am thinking of switching her to WAR as poor Xio has issues and dealing with them by summoning spectral chainsaw blades while screaming is very appealing to her) but now might be the time to embrace the salt within and become the healer of my dreams.
Finally, I think it's time to find new friends as all my old ones have just stopped playing the game and even though I'm a bit of a lone wolf it was nice to at least have some people to talk to and run the odd bit of content with. Problem is where to start? Good lord that going to be a horrible anxiety filled time. Ganbatte me~

Remembered to log in to do the new event, thought I looked cute in the cut scene so here we are.
Once I'm back from my holiday I'll decide if I start rebuilding my FFXIV life now, or wait until after Dawntrail launches. Games are more fun with friends, and my friends don't really play XIV anymore which is cool, but I still remain.
Might post in the "Do you wanna get married" thread on the forums, managed to get lucky that one time, perhaps lightning will strike twice?

I have the magical ability to press the screenshot button in FFXIV the exact moment Xio has the dumbest look on her face. It's a talent to have average screenshots going "Why yes this is the Warrior of Light, slayer of gods and stealer of pants looking like she's 110% done with this, that and life itself, or she's just taken a huge hit of that magic weed"

Once I grind enough MGF to get all the rewards I am never touching this stupid fucking game mode ever again, fuck I wish the devs would actually try to play the game at a ping greater than 100 just to experience the joys of their terrible netcode.
Also I suck at video games but that's a given.

Oh boy time to try out this new alliance raid!
I'm a tank main
I always do new content as Xio's canon job first
I haven't done any combat content in months, and last time I did it I was on my other tank job.
Knowing the above what are my chances of being the Alliance B tank, thus the main tank for the entire raid?
If you guessed 100%, you'd be fucking correct. What a way to shake off any rust. Phenomenal fights tho, fuck they were really fun.
