15, 21, 44 for the ask game?
15. Favourite movie
Oh, it's hard to choose one :D I like movies of genres so different, that it's hard to choose one favourite of all time, but recently I saw "The Lighthouse" and it definitely made it to my top favourites. I loved "Loving Vincent", "The Way He Looks" (one of my favourite pieces of canonically queer media I think, this is just so soft and well made) and "Back To The Future".
21. What I love most about myself
I think my analytical mind. I have great fun noticing small things and trying to put the details together to get the whole picture + it's double the fun when I get others confused. I think since I realised that my brain works differently I learned how to love it and we're on very good terms now. (I also like my hands)
44. A random fact about anything
XIXth century tattoo craze in Europe. In the late XIXth century upper-class society of Europe decided that tattoos were, in fact, pretty cool (after British king and prince got tattooed abroad, Jerusalem and Japan, iirc?) Anyway there was this guy, Sutherland Macdonald who was the first UK's registered professional tattoo artist, he tattoed a couple of kings and princes, and I need you to look at his works because these are incredible.

Cada vez que dibujo a Bélgica pienso que debería hacerlo más, pero se me termina juntando con otras cosas.
Y mira que es muy buena amiga tanto de España como de Irlanda...

This is the Buddy for January 20th. He's kind of Hulkish.
I think the Hulk's a pretty interesting character. I know he's not too popular, especially not now that Marvel's fallen from grace in the eyes of the public, but I still think it's a cool idea for a superhero. Not as interesting as Spider-Man, of course, but, still. Although I'm not going to pick up a random Hulk comic like I would a Spider-Man one. I'd prefer having the stories curated beforehand.
Today's Buddy has pretty big bulging muscles. With how much I've been working out, lately, I'll probably look like that in no time - yeah, right. I'm more in the phase where I work out to keep the body pain to a minimum, as opposed to building strength.
Speaking of, I was thinking of a thing I've read on tumblr that applies to me - a guy was talking about how the best footwear he has is his work boots. And, same here. The boots I wear to work are the most comfortable, resistant and longest-lasting shoes I've ever won. They were on the expensive side, sure, but the cost-benefit is a lot better than anything I've used before - which includes expensive brand sneakers, cheap sandals and dress shoes for the "special occasions".
And it's weird that they were kind of a secret to me for so many years. There's a store that sells safety equipment I pass by every day on my way downtown that sells work boots, and even when I was pinching pennies and not caring a bit about how I dressed, it never ocurred to me to stop by and buy a pair.
I see movies taking place in the XIXth century and one of the oddities of some stories is characters wearing their "work clothes" all the time - usually reformed military men wearing their uniforms. And I always thought that was a characterization choice. But it's funny that, if someone looked at me now, they'd see I pretty much wear my work clothes most of the time as well. Quality pays off.
Unfortunately, our buddy The Hulk can't enjoy that perk, what with his clothes tearing off whenever he transforms.

3 headcanons that I have that diverge from canon because i can't let go of history:
- Matthew hasn't been raised by Francis, they only vaguely know each other ;
- HRE grew up at practically the same rate as everyone around him, him being Ludwig is still something I'm thinking about though.... ;
- Same goes for Veneziano and Romano, no staying kids until the XIXth century. They are also not born during the Roman period.
Doesn't mean I don't like when I see Matthiew and being like Francis' son or HRE and Veneziano being kids, I just don't like it when I do it 😭
