hihi! i dunno if you’re still taking requests or anything so im sorry if i do this wrong or if im bothering! also this is my first time requesting smthn but uh- is it alright if i request an xtale!chara x reader with angst and/or fluff headcannons?

I love a good ol' hurt/comfort situation. I'll keep these more vague, as if they were random things that could happen at any time.

+ XChara is definitely the type to keep problems to himself until it becomes too much to handle. With having a lot of experience of people turning their back to him or betraying him, it's pretty difficult for him to lean to someone else anymore when it comes to even the smallest of things. But when he does, it's like a weight being lifted off of his shoulders.

+ XChara gives me vibes like he would pull like, little "pranks" of sorts, but they're actually harmless if not heartwarming. More like, surprises, but delivered in perhaps a jarring or startling way. Like a cute gift hidden in a terrifying plush. Or he prepared food, but the first plate he gives you is actually really spicy, but don't worry, he's got a real one that's not spicy, he just wanted to mess with you.

+ This is a little cliché, but look. XChara really just feels like he would be the type to want to watch a horror movie marathon with you, but would also be screaming and clinging to you the whole time. Of course, he'd never admit he's actually scared. As far as XChara's story will go, he bravely watched all the movies without screaming one time.

+ If you're ever upset, expect this man to go to the ends of the earth for you. Probably a bit excessively. You might have to tell him to calm down. But he'd do everything to make sure you're okay, and if someone hurt you to make you upset, that person is his number one enemy for as long as XChara remains breathing. He'd probably even hate them more than you do. Really, it's a bit much, but he means well.

Cross Headcanons (Some Canon)

I did a bunch of information about Cross in my friend's Discord that I thought I share with you guys! ♥ Also, some of these headcanons are inspired by Wishing Stone's stuff as well. ♥

He’s an early riser due to getting up early in the morning to train for his Royal Guard duties. Good luck in getting this skeleton to sleep in.

He’s also the type to work a lot, such as paperwork and other things that need to be done in the castle or around the multiverse. Cross has a hard time relaxing when he knows that there are things to do. If you truly want him to relax, you’ll get brownie points if you help him out. He’ll definitely be grateful.

I feel like Cross has that boyish/gentlemanly charm to him. When it comes to being around someone he might have feelings for or find attractive, Cross will be somewhat shy around that person, but he still wants to be nearby because this person makes him feel relaxed, though not all the way.

Cross is always on alert due to his Royal Guard training. He’s always on the lookout for danger or anything suspicious that could put himself, the group, or someone that he cares about in trouble.

Show this skeleton genuine kindness or offer him a gift that you think he’ll like. It’ll catch him off guard and there will definitely be a purple blush on his bony cheeks. (For the love of everything, compliment this skeleton more. Please!)

Cross has a lot of knowledge when it comes to weapons and he’s quite proficient in them due to being around others with different weapon types. Also, before he joined the ranks, I feel like he did a lot of reading when it came to that kind of stuff and tried out different weapons with his companions in his AU.

Cross can be quite distrustful of others that he comes across, thus he might be slow to befriend since he’s not always around due to being busy with stuff. Well, that and the fact he doesn’t really like to be near strangers unless he absolutely has to.

I feel like he doesn’t trust Ink at all due to what happened when he was in an empty white void where his home was.

Cross suffers a lot of guilt. Like, a lot. He has a hard time sleeping at night due to the nightmares. This might be another reason why he gets up early because of lack of sleep. At times, anyway. Sometimes, he can sleep like the dead until his internal clock wakes him up to start the day.

His best friend is Epic!Sans.

Cross is afraid of cows.

From what I read in different fanfics, he likes chocolate, so I feel like he’s got a sweet tooth.

okay so i’m rewatching steven universe right, as one does, and last night i got to the sworn to the sword episode and literally the entire time all i could think about was cross. he’s taken over my brain please send help??

anyway: “remember in the heat of battle, steven is what matters. you don’t matter.” i need NEED to see this mentality more with cross. i hc him with nightmare’s gang because i think he should kiss killer like a lot all the time, but regardless of whether or not you hc him with nm or the stars this is 100% his mentality i think.

he was trained in the royal guard to protect, and as a royal guard he must be ready to die for his cause. he views himself as nothing more than a sacrifice for whoever he works for if needed and i really want to see that more pls. cross risking everything to save others on his team, regardless of how injured it makes him, and even if he IS injured he’ll fight for them until he’s physically unable to or dead. i need more cross throwing himself in harms way for others. i need cross getting stabbed because he protects someone, and he views the injury as unimportant- what matters isn’t him, it’s serving and protecting others. it’s serving and protecting who he swore to defend with his life.

Cross

Cross haves this stupid, intrusive impulse of making puns. But it's something he can't control at all, just like a tic.

Dust & him were drink buddies in the past (BST configurations/scenarios)

He's a very spiteful little shit. He hates Killer ever since their confrontation.

If we are thinking about Cross being part of Nightmare's team, he and Killer have never gotten along (much less in the event that Cross decides to flee with or without Dream).

Cross haves drinking habits.

Killer

Killer likes spicy flavors.

A hopeless romantic. He knows every trick in the book.

Dust's lab rat. They play doctor together (Dust is the mad doctor who moves for the science, Killer is the perfect test subject)

Killer haves more sense of fashion than Dust and Sans (Horror).

Nightmare's loyal lapdog.

Smooth talker, haves a silver tongue.

Hates Cross on his posibilities of feeling shit.

He haves a good pair of quick hands.

Dust

Barely talks. Barely blinks. Barely moves.

His voice is low than the other too, sounds like a ghostly whisper. But his laugh is actually creepy and very noisy in other hand.

Refuses to touch anything without gloves.

I also like the idea that he has a small minor degree of mysophobia.

He really likes creating torture devices.

He has a greater scientific streak than Killer and Sans.

Creepy little shit. He can live on cigarettes, beer or rum and a leaf of lettuce because his magical reserves make up for everything.

Thin and small, but he haves strength.

Smells like formaldehyde, antiseptic and cigarettes.

He is the most destructive of the three.

Sans (Horror)

Loves dark jokes. He haves the funny bone intact (just more twisted)

He fed Killer and Dust human parts once.

He really likes pushing people to the edge. He enjoys mind games more than physical torture.

His memory is bad with names, so he calls everyone by nicknames (Dust haves all the pet names).

His smile is creepy. It has huge cracks in the corners.

If he eats something, he will throw it up on purpose afterwards.

He's still learning to deal with his peers. Sans was particularly harsh on Dust at first (even when Dust did nothing more than express his condolences for his situation).

His voice is deep.

Nightmare will have his own post later along with Dream. I still have a lot of hcs i need to find again on these two years i have been writting these characters.

Hiya! So, i just read the scenario where the reader died during the X-event, and thought "This needs a happy ending!",, So, could you do Error, Cross, Dream (If you write for Dreamtale, it's okay if you dont, just do the others xd) and Swap Sans if they're S/o got badly injured during the X-event, but managed to survive? Thank you!

I for the life of me do not remember what ask this is referencing (it's been a while), so I can't go and grab it for reference. I'll be writing based on this ask only, so I'm sorry if I missed something integral that was mentioned in the other ask!

I don't currently write for Dreamtale, so I'll leave Dream out for now.

Error - He will NEVER admit this, but when you were so badly injured that you weren't responding, he was absolutely freaking out. Error did everything he could to make sure you were coming out of this alive -- sewing up wounds, bandaging what he could, stealing healing items from anything remaining he could find and shoving them down your throat. Anything and everything possible, he is going to do it, even at his own expense.

Once you're stable, though, he'll immediately go back to his normal self. And by that I mean he will deny ever helping you, probably tell you how stupid you are for getting hurt during that whole thing, refuse to admit he actually enjoys your company. You know, regular manbaby Error things. But he might suspiciously be far more okay than usual with you sitting close to him, provided you ask first.

Cross - Similarly to Error, Cross will do everything in his power to make sure you're okay. However, unlike Error, Cross will be very emotional at this point. He doesn't get emotional often -- only when he's in highly stressful situations. The last person he knows alive, nearly dying, and he's the only one who can help? Cross is a fucking mess, even if he doesn't look like it yet. All while running around trying to stablize you, he seems very stern, serious, strong. Nothing could faze him right now. But the second you're looking like you're gonna be okay... that's when he breaks. He can't stop crying or shaking, and he crumbles into a weak puddle of feelings. Cross is extremely happy you're okay, but the amount of stress he just went through and now there is finally a moment of silence and calm? Yeah, he's shaken up a bit.

Underswap!Sans - Once again, this guy is gonna be working his ass off to make sure you're okay -- even if it costs him his own life. Blue is not the type to sit back and watch anyone hurting, but he especially can't see you dying. In a way, he's almost the reverse of Cross: instead of being strong until the stress has cleared, Blue is frantic until his stress is gone. He makes desperate, rash decisions that he know will work despite the cost aside from perhaps more calculated ones that have less of a cost. Quite literally, if it came down to it, Blue would give up his SOUL so you could live -- but fortunately, since you asked for a happy ending, this doesn't happen. And once you're stable again, he desperately tries to go back to his confident, prideful persona. But any moment he's alone, he's practically falling apart and trying to glue himself back together.

Sans:

* He was already sleeping and you decided to join him. You loved cuddling with your bone-friend.

* Time passes and he wakes up from his 14 hour nap to see you all stretched out on the bed next to him, making him chuckle. You sleep crazy and it’s a funny sight

* But….what the heck was that black thing moving near your mouth?

* A whole ass spider was in your mouth and you hadn’t reacted. Jeez he knew you were a heavy sleeper but damn not even that wakes you up?

* He doesn’t freak out but simply uses his magic to fling it away. He won’t tell you directly but will make puns when you get up

XPapyrus:

* He’s always training so cuddling is pretty rare. But if he is free you enjoy every second of it. He is SO cuddly!!! And he deserves those cuddles….he is exhausted after all.

* And he wakes up only cause he had a bad dream….and punches to the side.

* It didn’t hit you but that spider? Got one hit K’Oed-

* You woke up cause you felt the AIR from that punch. So you turn to him confused. And his response is actually pretty sweet

* He’s usually very busy as he’s usually doing his job as the guardian of positivity. But once he’s gotten free time, he’s rushing to be by your side.

* You guys were having a date at home to make up for lost time but he did fall asleep first. You smile knowing how tired he was but he wanted to stay up for you!

* You end up passing out with him on the couch.

* He woke up realizing he fell asleep and he felt bad. So he turned to you….only to see a spider staring back. His first thought? What the fuck-???

* He didn’t panic really. He actually managed to remove the spider and let it go outside. But he also checked if you were ok. Like wow were you that tired to not feel all that?

* Once he knows for sure you’re ok, he’ll take you to bed and you guys will continue sleeping.

Boss:

* He denies that he likes cuddles but once you ask him, he’s already in his pj’s. (Mmhmm. Lying ass-)

* You felt so safe in his arms, you fell asleep right away. He did as well only to be met with your hand on his face. He loves you but can’t you sleep normally???

* He was gonna scold you but then he sees something in your mouth? His scream made you wake up. Luckily you spat out the spider as well. When you question him what’s wrong, he looks completely terrified.

* You get a whole earful the next day for you not sleeping properly.

* From now on he made extra precautions before bed: a canopy, bug spray, bug zapper. You and Red had to convince him not to make you wear a mask while you sleep

Blue:

* Ugh his cuddles are the BEST. Especially his special pillow forts!!!

* You guys decided to make it that night. The pillows were a bit dusty but it should be fine, you’ll cover it in blankets and spray disinfectant spray. You guys fell asleep after watching a scary movie.

* Blue was pretty freaked out and woke up after hearing you sneeze. Luckily you were asleep and didn’t see him jump….he turns to you.

* Yup. That’s a spider.

* He. Panicked. IMMENSELY.

* He really thought you were dead for a moment. No way a human could sleep with a whole BUG in their mouth!!! He woke up to him crying. He was relieved you were ok …..But he panicked again when you closed your mouth.

* Luckily you guys got it out in time. And Blue learned how much of a heavy sleeper you are…..

Slim:

* Poor sweetheart didn’t really understand cuddling. You had to explain it to him quite a few times (after MULTIPLE misunderstandings *ahem*)

* Once he’s got the jist of it, he is so cute! Give him head rubs!

* One night he woke up a bit too early but saw you and looked at you with such adoration….

* Then that spider popped in out of nowhere.

* Ever seen someone glare a spider down? Well imagine that. Deadass he’s giving that spider a death glare. And the spider is staring back….only to try and crawl more around.

* He panics and manages to retrieve it without waking you up. He ends up letting it go outside, still glaring but glad that it’s gone.

* You noticed now everytime you guys head to bed, he now double and triple checks the room. Just in case….
