I keep hearing people saying that December ‘04 was written for them specifically, and I feel the exact same way. This song feels so personal.

This song managed to perfectly capture my feelings of like… Christmas has always been a time when the people I love came together but now my family has changed and it’s sadder and I’m more bitter but still good. And we’re not gonna be kids again who believe in magic and Santa Claus but we can make our own magic I think.

It’s Christmas. It’s the end of the year and I’m thinking about my family again, both near and far, and I just want them to be safe and together for a little bit.

It’s the end of the year again and I’m so tired and my New Year’s resolutions are the same as last year’s and I feel like I can’t change anything in a way that lasts but I’m trying. I’m trying. Let’s give it another year. Let’s give it another go.

I don't feel like traumagenic and endogenic systems should be grouped together because when they are, people get a misunderstanding of how complex dissociative disorders are work and what being endogenic means.

I've realized the reason so many people use the term system is because of how they define it. Some people may define being a system as just having alters but if you define a system as being multiple people, then yeah, a lot of experts fall under the label!

Even if you don't necessarily have DID or OSDD, you can still have an experience similar to alters. Whether it's because of your cultural practices or other disorders that cause you to feel like multiple people, it can happen and it never felt right to me when people just balantly dismissed endogenic systems as being liars or role-players.

From interacting with the endogenic community though, a lot of them don't understand that alters or alternate identities are so intertwined with trauma. You cannot separate a system from it's trauma, not because the system formed from trauma but because that trauma effects every aspect of being a system. At least for OSDDID.

So you can see how if people try to separate the trauma from the system, that'd cause a lot of fuss. I wish mental health professionals would study the phenomenon of having multiple distinct identities because maybe it isn't always because of trauma. Maybe it can be because of something else.

That's just me speculating but I don't think we should say anyone is faking their experiences just because they haven't been scientifically researched. DID itself is so under-researched, I'd be surprise if other forms of plurality got any attention at all.
