Gwen is the co protagonist, missing out on a great movie because it’s animated is something
lol i dont give a fuck about "gwen" in literally any way so why should it matter to me that she's the co-protagonist or not??? some people don't like horror films an don't watch them. some don't like musicals. some don't like comedies. you NEVER see anyone throwing a fit because someone doesn't want to watch a musical but suddenly when someone doesn't like/has no interest in watching cartoons it's an affront to society. if you want to waste two hours on that...good for you. i dont. simple. my decision has no effect on your enjoyment of the thing.

i think Kevin's thing is that whenever Neil is Neilling he just despairingly asks "why must you be like this?" so much so that it becomes an inside joke among the Foxes. (somehow Kevin is the only one not in on it because he doesn't even realize he says it so often.)

Ppl in fandom will be like "look at how loving this family is! look at these AMAZING parents! They love their child so much!!! #FamilyGoals!"
and then the family is literally the most toxic and dysfunctional relationship in actual canon.

more of This, now with Even More Lydia (now that I can draw her decently-)
shes not keen on the beach despite her dads insistence the sun would be good for her and cheer her up. luckily for her she found this gross fish washed up on the shore
beej has shades of ursula in this in that hes got weird ocean magic and can allow lydia to turn into a merperson- she doesnt agree for a while due to not trusting weird sea demons with ominous pacts but eventually gets fed up and relents. they have fun tormenting the local seaside town together
beejs main pitch to her in this au is like 'hey yknow what'd REALLY scare your dad. if you went missing at sea with me. cmon bestie' and when lyds stops entertaining this notion because as much fun as shes having, she doesnt really want to do that- he decides well IM going up on land then >:( and thats when he starts conspiring to make a second deal with her to Get Legs (and also maybe revenge on former friends who start ditching him)
something something im sure it’ll all work out in the end. until then, here’s some fish pals

hiii:33!! friendly reminder that someone can enjoy a character that has done heinous things and not support said heinous things
usually when a character does Bad Things in a narrative (espec if they're not the protagonist) it is Portrayed As Bad so people who enjoy the character Likely Know They Are Bad
& either way harassing people over enjoying a fictional character is just really childish
if you don't like the character, that is perfectly valid. but there's never any reason to characterise everyone who likes said character as Evil, and/or imply they condone the character's negative actions.
also sometimes i look at internet discourse and it's like people want morally grey characters but then turn around when "morally grey" is not always "i have my own rules but i still make all the right choices !!" some of y'all just need to admit you just like good characters that's fine not everyone is into the spice it's ok to like that good protagonist energy
;;;not saying every character i'm referring to fits in that "morally grey" category, some are just evil villains, but even then i'm sorry 90% of ur stories wouldn't exist without them. they drive the plot.

Leave it to a self proclaimed radfem to blatantly platform a bunch of druggies who get their fix from shit grown and moved with slave labor, almost exclusively women. You and every other junkie should be shot, and so should the men who own you by peddling you their product.
Anon, I'm not even in the fucking United States, the shit I get is grown by solo individuals in their houses. Please enlighten me on how I'm specifically then supporting the slave labor of women to get fucking grass. It's also really presumptive of you to assume everyone in the thread and I use male sellers.
Leave it to an anon coward to use "druggies" and "junkies" as an insult to devalue someone. Newsflash, "junkies" are people too, and they don't deserve less humanity because they have addictions. You sound like an incredibly stable individual who totally doesn't sound like some pearl clutcher pissed that people use recreational drugs and believe its some moral failing that people use them.
Fuck all the way off. You could have idk, been productive and civilly opened a discussion on the very real danger and horror of the drug trafficking circles between the US and Mexico and how cartels own certain towns and their inhabitants in Mexico because the government turns a blind eye. But you'd rather get your rocks off screaming at women using weed that you have no idea where they're sourcing from because it's much easier to pin blame on women than the violence perpetuated by greedy men.
