I can’t take people who say that Sneasler is the worst pokemon ever designed seriously when Aromatisse has existed since 2013. Especially since Sneasler is kind of the poster child of video essays regarding why “Legends Arceus bad”.
Let’s be real here, if Blaziken and Lucario were 8th/9th gen pokemon rather than 3rd and 4th gen respectively, they would be loathed and reviled instead of seen as untouchable and iconic.
#pokemon#pokemon memes#hey I have my issues with modern Pokemon too even if I usually go to bat for any given main series game#and by usually I mean any game that isn't BDSP#I'd sooner stand up for baby's first bethesda game in Scarlet and Violet than BDSP#I will say that we're in a dark age for the franchise#but it's a Disney dark age#Sure we get our Black Cauldrons and our BDSPs#But we also have our Fox and the Hounds and our Legends Arceus(es?)#TLDR the Pokemon fandom gives me a migraine#The DS generation has become the thing we hate the most in the Genwunners who shot down BW for dumb reasons all those years ago#It pains me to admit this as a staunch fan of the DS era#I grew up with D/P/PT and BW/BW2#I adore those and generally agree they're the best games in the series#but wow the fans can be so elitist#they're so condescending towards all the 3D games and get more obnoxious with each new game#And like guys considering we've had more anthropomorphic-style pokemon since Gen 3#I legit don't get the hate behind pokemon like Incineroar or Meowscarada or Sneasler#Again if the Gen IX and Gen III starters were swapped y'all would be revering Meowscarada as your right hand man and childhood best friend#While Blaziken would be the one people scream AAA TWO LEGS KILL IT at#It's the truth and you know it#also if they're purely hated because internet artists will draw weird art of them like not being bipedal has stopped them before#see Absol and Latias and Serperior#TLDR stop gatekeeping#and I'm not asking you to turn your brain off but if you go in looking for things to hate of course you're going to have a bad time

Personal gaming gripe about New Vegas
There's a post going around criticizing Starfield with some valid point (even if I think it's a largely a bad faith read of Starfield) but then in the very last paragraph it ends with this thing about how New Vegas is the last game to make you feel like there was hope, and that they're never going to make one like it again. Do y'all understand how sad it is to live that way?
There are so many games being made right now as we speak, by big companies, small studios, and independent developers right now, and they're all doing so many different things. What you're looking for is probably somewhere out there if you just look for it. Moreover, why do people keep tacitly expecting Bethesda to make another New Vegas when we should already understand that that's not their priority? Why is Starfield being compared to New Vegas?
Every time a post like that goes around it just comes off as miserable to me. Legitimately sad. New Vegas is a great game but there are other games out there, and studios that aren't Bethesda. Please don't let your favorite game turn you bitter towards other games you might enjoy.

Y'all brought back my post about Strong and the Institute, so I'm going to go ahead and ramble about Super Mutants and their dietary habits under the cut.
Warning: talking about cannibalism.
So, mutants eat people (at least the east coast ones do it very often), and this is often used as part of peoples arguements when complaining about how Bethesda changed mutants for the worse - which, yeah, but I wanna go into why this actually makes sense lore-wise. Because that's more fun for me.
Now, it's literally called a wasteland for a reason. One of the biggest struggles facing anyone out there is procuring food. There are multiple instances of regular humans in the fallout world committing cannibalism, either alone or in whole groups, and it's often left up to the player to make a judgement on whether you'll let it slide or not - the rest of the world tends to turn a blind eye unless it’s rampant and/or affecting them directly. You as the player can eat human meat without taking the cannibalism perk even. “Iguana meat” is human meat. “Strange meat” and “Strange Jerky” are human meat. Longneck Lukowski’s “Canned Meat” has ghoul in it. The PC can choose to become a cannibal and directly eat their fallen enemies (or friends), and while most of the companions find it gross, and some (but not all) will lose affinity, they won't argue or leave the player's side for it like they do with murder. It’s just a reality of the world, you eat what you must. To most it’s deeply unpleasant, but no one is getting ousted from society for having to pick a desperate meal.
So then you get Super Mutants, whose diet mostly consists of meat. Red meat especially, since Strong claims that they don't like eating insects. They will eat mirelurk and fish, but it's not as good and harder to catch. They’re also huge, presumably eat a lot to make up for that and since their hunger is one of the main things on their mind, and live in groups where they share resources. So that means they have to catch big game, and often, if they want to be fed. Sure, some can try to live off just catching things like radstags out in the wild, but they’re fast, on the lookout for trouble, dangerous in a fight, and you aren’t always going to bump into them. Brahmin and other types of livestock are kept by and near humans generally - wild pockets would be rarer to find, and would be wiped out quickly when they are. Erickson on The Island manages to live without hurting people, but it’s important to note that he only has to worry about feeding himself and his dogs, so he can make do with fewer catches - mutants generally live in groups, the larger the better, so they need a lot more. Which means being less picky.
With all that in mind, you know what is in abundance? Humans. Stubborn little humans popping up seemingly everywhere despite whatever the wasteland throws at them. Sure, they’re wary of dangers too, but not so much as the radstag - nor are they as fast, or as strong without a weapon. There’s also the addition that Super Mutants don’t think of themselves as human, even knowing they came from them. The Forced Evolutionary Virus has made them something new, something else. In their mind a super mutant eating a human is little different from a wolf eating a hare. It’s just the natural order to them. That doesn’t absolve the cannibalism part really - it’s not a perfect analogy and just helps explain their mentality. It's still sitting in the cannibalism zone. And they aren't even opposed to eating other super mutants!
With enough perks into cannibalism the player can eat dead ghouls and super mutants, to which Strong is positive towards the latter, stating that it’s an honour to the fallen mutant that they eat his flesh, and will even inherit his strength from doing so.
Give honour to brother by taking his flesh.
Save some for Strong. Fallen brother died well.
Eat well, human. Take strength from dead brother. It is our way.
So, in this way the super mutants have also tied something of a belief system into their diet. Which is quite interesting, and honestly very human. In real life when cannibalism crops up en masse it’s often tied to mystical beliefs and superstitions.
This all also explains why you don’t find many, if any, super mutants out in the Glowing Sea - not counting Virgil, of course. Strong states that the Sea is for “ghouls and bugs”, which are two things mutants don’t enjoy eating.
Brother super mutants not come here. Not enough to eat.
Strong not like Glowing Sea. Too much glow.
Ghouls and bugs like Glowing Sea. Not super mutants or humans.
There’s no humans (as far as anyone knows) or large game, so super mutants going out into the sea would starve and end up eating each other and then just dying eventually. There’s also the unrelated but still interesting note that the Sea has so much radiation that it even starts to affect mutants, who are highly resistant to it. Virgil is surviving similarly to Erickson, in that he only has to worry about feeding himself and is friendly enough to trade with the humans nearby.
Anyway, the super mutants diet including human meat is interesting in lore and beyond a “these enemies are just yucky and mean”, especially so in the fact that these kinds of mutants can’t live without humans nearby because they rely on them so much as food.
“But what about farming livestock? What about Jacobstown?” I hear you say, and yeah, that’s a totally valid thing for mutants to get into - but probably only on the west coast.
There’s still a big difference between the east and west coast mutants, and that’s that the ones over on the west have been around a long time, since The Master made them, and have had time to learn and grow. They’re also noted to generally be stronger and smarter than the eastern mutants because of the influence of The Master’s design -which wasn’t perfect, but is better than the ‘no real aim but to make more of us’ approach Super Mutants usually go for. They’ve been able to carve out their own niche in the wasteland and we know that some mutants live just fine among humans and that friendly super mutant towns do exist out there.
But the east coast is different.
The mutants on the east coast lack The Masters design. They never had it to begin with as far as we know, and just came about due to Vault 87, The Institute, and general human exposure to leftover FEV. The mutants on the east coast are young, and results vary a lot. They haven’t had any time at all to develop themselves, individually or as a society, and are mostly acting on the heightened adrenaline that the FEV fills them with and trying to make more of their kind. They're in survival mode still.
There’s also the issue that the east coast was hit worse by the bombs than the west - there’s a reason the east and west are in different levels of rebuilding - which means there’s less good land to raise crops and animals on, once again leaving us with humans being the common animal populating the wasteland after they've taken all that land for their own needs.
So, yeah. It's just interesting when you compare these different groups and their situations, but overall: Super Mutant's cannibalism makes sense. Maybe one day the eastern mutants will move away from it, maybe it will stay as part of a belief system, but no matter what it's going to take time, and in the meantime there are plenty of groups out there not willing to let them make a snack out of people.

Idk what Bethesda did bc I don't play their games... but all the paywallers and doxxers in this shithole wild west that's sims 4 mods are reaping what they fucking sowed so I ain't gonna be too mad about them getting what's coming to them
Bethesda first tried to monetize mods on steam workshop, by taking a cut of the profits of every item sold while the creator got a very small portion. When that got blasted by the community, they made creation club, in which they paid modders a flat rate to make an item (like a backpack or a house) then put it on their platform to make continuous money off of themselves.
EA updating their policy on making money on custom content earlier this year was not a coincidence. They're prepping to make money off all of this, because the amount of money even early access creators are making per month is out of this world. And they want a cut. They'll allow early access to keep those creators from leaving & relevant until they secure the bag, at which point they'll disallow early access and leave creators no choice but to make money using their platform alone. I'm also guessing it'll be a smaller amount than what they're making now because EA will no doubt take a large portion. The biggest creators will probably be fine (despite making less than before, I'm sure they'll get a partnership of some kind) but all the other people doing early access/paywalling are going to be fucked.
And you know what? I don't feel sorry. This is what the community built. It became about money instead of creativity, it became a bunch of little influencer EA wannabes pushing out their lazy overpriced content, and that's why EA wants in. They admire y'all and your shady, shameless tactics. This is the exact opposite of what you want in a modding community, and almost every other one could see it coming a mile away.

That's a great point on Piper! I love her and her character, but it doesn't fit in a world where nothing is going on. Sure, you can report about synths replacing people but even then that's mostly just a rambling theory than any hardcore news article. If it was something like Piper finds herself trapped by the Institute's information control and censorship and wants to explore the truth of the world around her.
Her quest line would be helping her come to terms with truth and its consequences (such as learning that maybe the Railroad has been helping raiders attack the Institute and they aren't the squeaky clean freedom fighters they make themselves out to be) and finding hope and optimism in a world that has secrets. I didn't like how the whole big story she writes about is that the mayor is, surprise surprise, a synth--which of course has literally no bearing on the story.
What are some of your ideas for the minor factions? I'd love to hear them!
I didn't like Piper myself, but most of that was just the fact that see seems stupid and short-sighted thinking she's a heroic crusader for the truth when the average person is on a daily basis at risk of being skinned alive by multiple independent sources
Hmmm. I guess step one is to make the gunner "mercenaries" actual mercenaries and not just green raiders. Whatever was being implied as the connection between them and Vault 75, if anything, excise that completely. They recruit from the wasteland (commonwealth and foreign areas), they actually train their guys, and they have actual contracts and objectives in the region, which they've been hired to do in their capacity as soldiers in exchange for money, because that's what mercenaries are. Any Bethesda writers, or other writers who happen to be reading, take notes on that last bit; that definition seems to be really shaky for most of y'all. You don't have to go whole-hog with it but you could actually have mention that some wastelanders join groups like the Gunners to get out of busting their asses doing shitty farm work in a swamp surrounded by mutants and ghouls, which everyone in game seems to be perfectly content with.
Otherwise, uuuh. Huh. Followers help me out, what other minor factions were there? The Cabot family? I suppose I'd make them more of an actual faction, being allies you can return to and maybe do some more jobs and/or get supplies from, rather than just a lore bomb like that dropped in one quest and then forgotten. I mean, the PC meets another group of people alive before the bombs, people with skin this time, and doesn't seem to give a shit aside from "wow you're old and that's weird"

Games I recommend to my mutuals and followers, because I like y'all and want to share fun games ❤
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (or Re-Reckoning if playing the remaster) : Very fun underrated RPG, with decent story and characters but the best part is the SUPER flexible class system, the various class abilities, and the weapon types.
Baldur's Gate 1 & 2: Don't listen to people who might say "It's an older game, so it's super hard to learn or get used to." These games are easier to understand than Morrowind. Baldur's Gate 1 has a tutorial, just make sure to utilize it and you're fine. Very fun old school DnD game with FANTASTIC characters. Also allows you to make a whole custom party, or to even play multiplayer with a friend!
Icewind Dale: Okay, it's exactly like Baldur's Gate, but lacks a tutorial, so it can be more difficult to learn if it's your first time with this type of game. That and this game is much harder. In my mind, this game is an OC game through and through, as you HAVE to create your own custom party and literally run them through a campaign. You create the drama, the humor, the character growth in your head between your characters. Or, even better, utilize the multiplayer function and run a game with friends! (I am always game...)
Tyranny: Like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, but with updated mechanics, which make it smoother and easier to get the hang of. More content in terms of "cutscenes", story, and you definitely need to be on guard and consider situations more closely. Your choices matter. Also the characters are *chef's kiss*. Touch of a warning, this game likes to be "edgy", so be braced for some harsher tones and scenery. Not just gore, but touchy subjects as well.
Neverwinter MMO: Everything is absolutely free in terms of dlc and main game. Nothing huge to write home about, but I have a lot of fun. It's one of those games where if you just wanna see cool fantasy stuff or be immersed in DnD land for a while but not think too much. That being said, the characters, when allowed screentime, are 😍😍.
Dragon Age 2: Or the entire Dragon Age franchise, but 2 will always be my favorite. I'm not even going to explain why you need to play this game. Just do. I want you to be surprised too.
The Isle: Survival dinosaur game where you play as a dinosaur, making sure you eat and drink as well as avoid hostile dinos. Those dinos are other players, so sometimes you get jerks, sometimes it's just a really fun interaction. But predator and prey dynamics always keep things tense.
Stardew Valley: Hey are you depressed or just upset? Get this game. Just trust me, it helps.
Fire Emblem: Awakening: 3DS game that is sooooo much fun. Great story, great characters, great combat system. And free dlc if you can connect to Wi-Fi that lets you marry the villains and have a kid! 100/10.
ESO and Skyrim are obviously not on this list, because if you follow me and don't constantly hear me sing praise to them or their characters, I'm curious what content you actually follow for.
Also if you like keeping up with games-in-early-access/development, check into Baldur's Gate 3. If this game delivers what it's promising, Bethesda and Bioware will be shaking with terror when the game launches. A serious contender for what could be the best fantasy game to come. It's currently in early access, so you can play it and test it out for yourself, but you're paying full price for an unfinished game. Honestly, I think it's worth it, I would own it if I had the spare cash.
It has...the most sweetest, absolute best papa bear, sad old mage elf I have ever witnessed in a video game, who offers you so many smiles and just 100% gold character interactions. Dearest, sweetest Halsin....

SonicAsura Doodles #14
"Well I be. This is the first time someone actually saw me! You know my older brothers are the ones who run the show, but I prefer to keep my presence down low. Chimeris is my name, glad to meet y'all the same." ~ Chimeris, Wonderworld Theatre's Songstress and Musical Prodigy.
A mysterious being that appeared in Wonderworld Theatre around 1000 years ago. Neither Balan or Lance know the very young Chimeris had shown up in their magical home but took turns raising her. Unlike the two Maestros, she isn't a Positi or Negati but a Neutra.
Neutra is a term for those who don't completely indulge in either positive emotions or negative, only a steady balance of the two. She can also speak normally if any guest requested. Although, she does swear in rhymes when peeved and not in the vicinity of any children.
Ex: "Come back and take your hit, ya lil shit! You think you are top brass, but all I see is a jackass! You know what goes well with a sandwich, punishing this conniving bitch!"
Chimeris likes helping others as much as she likes to cause mischief.
Various visitors, Negati, Tims and even both Balan and Lance had got caught in her impish pranks. These jokes range from water balloons, whoopie cushions, surprise scares, glitter boxes and the occasional paint bombs. If it doesn't cause any big harm, then it's good in her book.
Music you hear in Wonderworld is often orchestrated by her, each piece being based on an individual or various cultures. Chimeris only gets involved with her brothers' show if they do something stupid involving any human guests.
Despite being about a 1000 years old, it doesn't mean that the Neutra can't overpower Balan or Lance whenever needed. Chimeris' energy is bright green in color and has a unique property of neutralizing positive and negative energy. Something that can render her brothers' powerless for a good amount of time.
The youngest Maestro does care for the inhabitants and guests of Wonderworld but has a wanderlust when it comes to exploring outside the theatre. These little adventures often make her a cryptid to those who catch a glimpse of Chimeris flying about or dancing in the moonlight. Something that earned her the moniker: 9 Tailed Witch or Fox Dancer.
To those who encounter this particular Maestro are in for an interesting adventure.
Hey guys! It's been some time since I posted a doodle. So far, I love playing Balan Wonderworld and been having a blast. It sucks that Square Enix had to sabotage such an interesting and beautiful game. If you want to know what I mean then you should look for: Did Square Enix Sabotage Balan Wonderworld? Post that should be below this on my blog. You can also look at Jim Sterling's videos on Square Enix's screw ups too since this isn't the first they messed with '$60' games.
You know how much of a fresh breath air it is to a play a game not associated with saving the entire world. It's more of a rescue mission if I'm being honest but same difference.
Truth is that I had this little doodle for quite some time and wanted to build her a background of sorts before posting it.
Also, I'll be making some Balan Wonderworld fanfics and even some art. These will have very special tags considering how Square Enix shamefully screwed up Balan Company's first game.
# Fuck Square Enix #Balan Company's Innocent
A brand new small company can't really go against a big one like Square Enix but Balan Company did their best to give us a playable game alongside a novel for the full story. At least it isn't something like Bethesda's Fallout 76.
So you'll be seeing those tags a lot for anything Balan Wonderworld related. I'm almost done with the main story and I'll give my final review alongside favorite costumes, stages, bosses and music.
That's all I have! Until next time folks, see ya in Wonderworld.

So tumblr ate my previous posts apparently. I missed a bit of e3 and caught a bit of Microsoft and Bethesda.
Microsoft
Did I hear correctly? Fuckin Lego forza? Shit yes finally an interesting car game
Also Lego Star wars with all 9 main movies. Hell yeah I love charades and grunts to convey plot
Tales of Rising, aka one of the few things my weeb ass wanted and it looks great
Dragon Ball Kakarot. I mean it looks pretty but it's just another dbz game that rehashes what we already have seen countless times. Xenoverse 3, Fusions 2, FighterZ 2, come on Toe and Bandai Namco.
The new Star Wars reminds me a lot of the Forced Unleashed games from the good ol days. Please don't let it be like 2. This looks fun and original tho. Robot is my fav as always.
Phantasy Star Online 2 finally comes to the west on PC and xboner and is free to play, unfortunately AFTER I no longer have access to the internet.
Project Scarlet, basically the Xbox 4. 120 FPS, 4 times stronger than the xbox one x apparently, lower load times, solid state drive, now watch it be overpriced and shitty at launch
Halo Infinite. Poor man wants to see his family. Probably will die. Nice graphics tho
Probably missed some but not bad.
Bethesda
We're people!!!!
Todd Howard is aware that Fallout 76 is a septic tank fire. They made a post apocalyptic world where you have to survive by any means necessary and instead people are nice and wave at each other, even leave food for new players.
So they ruin it by adding a battle royale mode. The guy yells FUCK YEAH on live stream. You're at an 11 for an easy 3/10 bub
Elder Scrolls 6 is in progress
Elder scrolls blades is still garbage
Ghostwire Tokyo, aka the game that made me realize Beth Esda knew Japan was a thing. The lady that presented it was such a spazzy bubbly dork and I love her. I felt my heart flutter for something other than medical reasons for the first time in forever. The game as a concept looks very interesting and I am always down for Tokyo ghost hunting.
Only caught the rear end of Wolfenstein but FUCK YEAH fuck nazis
Doom Eternal, aka we heard y'all like to kill shit, so now you can kill hell, kill heaven, kill planets, kill other dimensions, get killed by the guy behind the denny's at 2:30 am on a Saturday night, just go crazy you filthy animals
Yes we are still people!!!
Did I miss anything important?
