"this series has fucked me up so much that by the time I got to 6 and Nagumo said he was gonna go to Kamurocho with Kiryu I immediately started crying because all I could think of was Shinji and Rikiya and oh God I need like ten whole minutes"

“With my charming hassaku face! Steaming Onomichi ramen hat! Cute fish pouch! Cool boots, vital for any fisherman! And my bold and trendy Ono shirt! That's right! I'm the pride of Onomichi...” “Ono... Michio!” Made this scrunkly guy out of scraps from my yarn stash but I would love to remake this one day once I get the correct colours (I have a thing where I like to match my colours to my references ^^;) (Image Description: Three photos showing an amigurumi doll of Ono Michio from Yakuza 6: The Song of Life against a grey background. Ono Michio is standing neutral in the first photo, then stands with his arms stretched in the second photo. The third photo shows Ono Michio doing his signature pose, with one arm pointing up and the other arm pointing down whilst his knees are bent. End ID.)

The Like a Dragon series is full of long, rich stories that may take players looking to complete them all before Infinite Wealth quite a long time.
◼️Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the longest game in the series, and players should be familiar with the franchise before jumping into it.
◼️ The Like a Dragon series has games with varying lengths, ranging from 11.5 hours to 46 hours to beat. Beating the entire series will take around 240 hours.
◼️ The shift to a turn-based JRPG in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and the presence of multiple playable protagonists contribute to the longer lengths of some games in the series.
With Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth releasing later this month, now is the perfect time for fans to revisit the entire series, or newcomers to get caught up before the next game's launch. However, this is a long-running series with several expansive games packed with content, so finding time to finish them all before Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth releases may end up being quite the challenge. Players wanting to attempt to tackle every game in the series will need to know how long they can expect to dedicate time to playing these games in order to fully catch up with the series' story.
The Like a Dragon series is one that places a heavy emphasis on its characters and narrative, meaning it's a good idea for players to be familiar with the franchise before jumping into Infinite Wealth to get the most out of the game. While developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has stated that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be the longest game in the series, there are a few other entries that can take players upwards of 30 hours to beat. As such, players intent on finishing the entire series before Infinite Wealth's release should start sooner rather than later.

Game: Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name

NOTE
Like a Dragon: Ishin! is a non-canon spin-off game set in a fictional version of Japan's Bakumatsu Era and is not necessary to play in order to understand the plot of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. However, fans of the rest of the series should definitely give it a play, because it is still an excellent game
To beat the entire Like a Dragon series available on modern platforms, players will need to invest roughly 240.5 hours, or just over 10 full days' worth of time to finish all available games. This includes finishing some of the longest titles in the series, like Yakuza 0, which clocks in at approximately 31.5 hours to beat, Yakuza 5 at 36 hours to beat, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon at 46 hours to beat. On the shorter end of the spectrum, games like Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2, remakes of the first two games in the series, are only around 18 hours long apiece, and the recent Like a Dragon Gaiden can be beaten in 11.5 hours.
Part of the disparity in game length across the series comes from the shift from the action-brawler genre to a turn-based JRPG with Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The slower combat of Yakuza: Like a Dragon drastically increases the total playtime of the game, but another contributing factor to the longer lengths of entries like Yakuza 0, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 is the presence of multiple playable protagonists. The structures of these games' stories are broken up into different acts with players alternating between different playable characters, leading to more complex and lengthy narratives.
While these times are just taking the games' main plots into consideration, other huge parts of the Like a Dragon series are the side activities players can participate in. Activities like sub stories and mini-games in Like a Dragon games are the sources of some of the franchise's most entertaining content, and it wouldn't be a true Like a Dragon experience if players didn't check some of these optional missions out. Including these side activities, the lengths of these games can easily double if players are intent on finishing all content available.

haruka gets kiryu to use kaomojis
so my close friend (@draganaesfrost ) and i were goofing around and came up with the idea of "what if haruka got kiryu to use kaomojis?" so here's how i think his texts w other people would look would look like!!!
haruka: hey uncle kaz!!! i'm going out with some of my girlfriends tonight!! i'll try and be back by 9!! ヽ(*・ω・)ノ
kiryu: Ok. Stay safe I love you. (♡-_-♡)
haruka: love u too!!!!!(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
as for nishiki...
nishki: yo bro wanna go out for drinks tonight?
kiryu: Sure. ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌
nishiki: wth
we then came up with the scenario of nishiki frantically calling up haruka like "???IS YOUR DAD SICK???" and haruka is majorly confused before nishiki sends her a screenshot of the texts between him and kiryu, which leads to haruka to burst out laughing and explain to nishiki what it was. although... nishiki can't get behind them and thinks they're "gay"... oops.
bonus tidbit: the (♡-_-♡) kaomoji is strictly reserved for haruka
