a messy rant talk cuz am angy

bruh, osc twitter is so fnckin toxic like, they just gave me extreme trust issues that i just start to not follow or even interact with anyone outside of my friend circle immediately even if they art is cool and chet cuz whenever i interact with anyone (like follow, reply or somthin) they will go and block me bcuz someone tells them that i did something bad without even knowing what it is, yet they believe them like they know me better

and the only thing i did was ship knife and mic, ive known that the siblings hc is everywhere and i asked allot of times why its so popular, yet no one is telling me so i did my own search about it but noooo they be harassing and spamming me in quote retweets and calling me out and chet for an info that a newcomer wouldnt know instead of just dm-ing me,, they fr had to tell the public about it

like bro, i just joined not even a year in, just a month in, yet they harassing me like ive been here since day one

and might i let you know that the “proof” they be spamming me is almost a decade old, like, they didnt even ask the person if theyre still okay with it or not, a friend of mine has to ask them about it and guess what, he doesnt even mind it anymore

and then them saying “we reached out to burgy but they did nothing” like??? did my thread that i did and deleting the microknife art mean nothing?? even if the person said that its not even a big deal anymore?? yall need to get more info than just info that’s decades ago cuz like, you do know people change right?

and just cuz i posted that thread a day late cuz like bro, i was tryna write it as clear as possible yet that is nothing to you???

like yeah, i blocked some people but they were spamming and harrassing the frick out of me and chet like dude, i get it, your proof is a decade old, try and see if its still accurate sheesh, shut up, i have never blocked anyone unless theyre being annoying, and thats what i did, i unblocked them a few days later

and now its about the GKGG au??? like bro, it’s an au, obviously its different from canon, and now bcuz of that, my friend has to do an explanation about it here even if it’s so obviously obvious (they even explained there on twitter that the backstory is different from canon, but i guess they don’t know how to read)

This is just a mini rant(kinda)(since no one that I currently know are into vtubers or know what they are & I just wanna talk about it) but I just came across this tiktok short/edit (don't really know what to call it 😅) but she basically trying to expose? Vtubers (mostly nijien) (mostly nina in this case) but she was a minor (it's in her prof.) & I found on one of her edits/videos she was asking ppl for shoutout bc she 'needs her fame back' & that just makes me feel weird about it like.. Idk.. I think that recently I just had seen some ppl trying to cancel some vtubers on tiktok for stupid things like fu-chun getting 'cancel' for liking/reading BL even though he's bi if I'm correct (ik that some of the cancel aren't really recent but tiktok just kinda stated to put those videos on my for you page recently) like for vox I kinda get why he's was cancel but at the same time not bc sure you can feel uncomfortable & all but for me personally I think that calling him a p*do was too mush like lately ppl have been throwing that word around to losely & I just think that he over share to much but yeah

I've wanted to talk about this topic before but didn't really have the chance to but now that you've ranted about it, I'm gonna reply to your rants with a rant of my own so buckle up 😌

This is exactly why I barely go on tiktok anymore. when I used to be a diehard fan of kpop artists, shits like this was way more worse. At some point, it started disturbing me to the point I actually never went back on tiktok again. That's how much I hated that app back then. Literally just one or two months ago I opened that app again, thinking I could have a peaceful life in vtubers fandom but oh lord I encountered a hate video.

It was something similar to what you said, but what I saw was a video saying "canceling nijisanji en" and I thought it was a joke or something so I went to the comments section to see what it was about. And the whole comment section was filled with "omg yes" "ugh shifting to nijisanji jp right now" "well at least shu is safe💀" honestly, I was like huh??? seems that they were talking about most of the nijisanji en boys interacting with an artist who was apparently racist (or something else i'm not really sure) but yeah that's the bits of it. [I saw a comment under the specific post saying something like "if this is how yalls attitude is, then don't even think about coming to the jp side" and I was like SLAYY GIRL YOU RIGHT ASF] sorry I'm pretty much gatekeeping niji jp from toxic fans like that who could just hate on their so called "oshi" on a baseless rumour.

First of all, I'm on twitter literally everyday and have heard nothing of that issue. Or maybe it's possible that I could've totally missed it. Secondly, even if the issue is true, I'm pretty sure the en boys wouldn't have interacted with the said artist if they knew about it. Like girl, vtubers don't have to know everything about everyone on internet. Just because they don't follow up on who is who and who is supporting what doesn't mean you have the fucking rights to cancel them.

Let me tell y'all something mind blowing. Reading BL isn't a crime. Surprising? Get that into your fucking mind. BL is a genre just like Mystery, Romance, Historical and etc. Even if you're straight you can read/watch BL it's not wrong. It's not wrong as long as you don't fantasize about it and get off on it. If you're a straight person reading BL (yaoi) and getting turned on about it and being public about it, then seek help. That's just so wrong. You girls don't like it when men jerk off to lesbian porns so it goes both ways.

This is me speaking for myself as someone who enjoys BL and I would love to read GL genre too. But there's just none that suits my taste and BL stories are being published more and more rather than GL. That's the main reason I read more BL and not GL. It has nothing to do with me being a freak. I don't even read much yaoi like BJ ALEX, painter of the night, etc. I mostly enjoy fluff BL genre because I see it as any other romance. (if you have good gl manhwa/anime/donghua/manga recommendations, please share it with me👁️👁️)

And calling vox a p*do? that's just way too offensive and wrong. Did you see him having dirty talks or actually having sex with a minor? No you fucking didn't so stfu. You don't even know who he truly is behind the avatar so what gives you the rights to say something so horrible about him? And this goes to everyone else. Even if a person you know, or barely know, is a prostitute, slut, playboy or whatever, you do not get to judge them. You're not their parents/family members so you get no say in their life. Just stfu and live your own life instead of judging others'. UNLESS you see them committing real crimes which is against the law of your country then report them to the police. That's all you have to do.

Now, I don't want to categorise all tiktok users as one group but most of the people, I repeat, MOST of the people in tiktok are underage, or simply just utter fools who have no morals in them. Especially those hate accounts (and this goes to EVERY hate accounts. not just the ones dedicated to nijisanji/vtubers).

I see some accounts saying "this is a troll account. i actually love [insert name] so much🥺" no. If you love them as much as you claim to, then you wouldn't even think about hating on them like that even for a joke. That's just disrespectful.

What do they really get out of this hating behaviour? likes? shares? comments? fame? well if that's what they want then they're really doing it in a wrong fucking way. I didn't know people could be happy getting those achievements from such a nasty way. They have little to none shame. Possibly bringing down someone's career because of their stupid behaviour isn't something to be proud of. Their parents surely wouldn't be proud of it either. Am I mean? well not as much as they are and at least I'm only speaking facts.

It's literally so easy to shut up your mouth if you don't like something. Like, go find something else you enjoy instead of hating.

+the nijisanji en family has been getting bigger these days which is why they're getting more hate that are visible. The only thing we can do is comment something to put some sense in their shitty mind(which will end up going over their head considering how dumb they are), report, block and scroll away. Fools like them can't be fixed unless they themselves realise what they're doing and how it harms others around them. We really shouldn't be wasting our time and ruining our mental health over some dumb asses.

Just wanna put this disclaimer out before anyone starts reading under the cut: Despite this ask & post and my own feelings about the show, it has been really heartwarming to see BIPOC fans delight in this show and my fandom friends gushing to me about this :D That is something no one can take away from them and I'm very glad they enjoyed it!

All in all to say the Kosem copying was bad and it should be called out but the Barbie references are all in good fun!

Since this is the main ask I've gotten about the show, I'm also going to put my main thoughts here and I don't think I'll be answering any follow up asks because every take has kind of been said and done. I really don't have much to add on since I'm not ever going to watch the show either.

Outside of the show, I adoree that India and Arsema are getting their flowers and the couple is being promoted how they should be! It's all well deserved. A small part of me does feel sad because if this is the PR team going all out, where was all this fanfare for S2, Jimone and Kathony?

However, based on what I've been told:

- I'm glad the chemistry between QC and George was good and everyone enjoyed their romance

- Who on the team hates LD?? Because COME ON martial rape AND giving her a not-hot older man IN VIOLET'S DAD OF ALL PEOPLE?? They did her so dirty. Idc if Lord Ledger gave her the first orgasm of her life, I see that man and no thank you. My girl deserved someone as hot as Adolphus!

- These two things is a HUGE reason why I can't watch the show cos of my triggers: I hate hate how gratuitous they were with the torture porn - both with LD's scenes with her husband (FOURRRR MARTIAL RAPE SCENES THAT'S LAUGHED OFF AS A GAG???) and George getting waterboarded for his mental illness. As someone who experienced SA and has a mental illness, these are very sore subjects for me so no thank you QC, but I will not be tuning in.

Anyway to close this out, congrats to the cast for doing a great job and whoever enjoyed the show, I'm glad you did! Those who read this and agree with me, just know you aren't alone in your critiques of the show. As long as you're being respectful and mindful of the language used, your criticism and enjoyment of the show are both valid!

hello, lissie here!

as of today and the whole month of may, i would like to announce that i will be taking a break from posting works….

my 6 months of being on tumblr constantly have finally taken a toll on me, to be honest. even though i have put in my checkpoint (read: guidelines) that i don’t follow any type of schedule, sometimes i wonder if my loyal readers will get bored if i don’t post any updates but then when i want to, i felt unsatisfied because i know i can do more and feel more to write, you know…

and the number of multiple discourses (some are unnecessary or even possible to resolve in private instead of in public) showing up on my dash is unhealthy that it is almost twitter or tiktok kind of level aka known to be very petty, very one-sided, and encourage mob mentality more than critical thinking…

i’ve got the idea to take a break after watching a colin and samir video about emma chamberlain and her burn out and break from her main social media where they suggest posting content “seasonally” which is essentially about using the time to perfect the work first before posting (like a tv show season hehe). because of that, i’m willing to try cause releasing content while juggling through uni and having the fear that your content is never enough to compete is hard, bruv :(

even though i’m not on here posting, i will occasionally log on to edit my drafts (or other updates such as answer asks/reviews). if you can’t seem to bother to wait for me in updating my work, feel free to unfollow or send an ask to remove yourself from the taglist (your ask will be unanswered and deleted right after)…

under "keep reading", i will dissect which work will be going through some changes as i will take my break from posting to writing my wips (which you can see it is stacked). you can skip if the info in paragraphs above this is enough

i will be talking about them in terms of priorities so time wave, smirch, and crossroads will have priority treatment as i’ve started their series while crossroads is 70% done at around 25k wc (especially time wave which is now more than halfway posted)

time wave: main priority, will be focusing on finishing the chapters and editing them until i find it perfect. in between finished writing each chapter, i will be posting some studies on @interactivemochi, especially regarding pride month for june cause let’s just say my characters have some queerness in them (hello time wave!yeonjun demiromantic arc). after the break, it will be posted probably biweekly in june and the final one in july

smirch: second priority. even though i said in the masterlist that the stories are standalone, that is half-true cause i want to make the stories of each episode as interconnected as possible [this is like me pitching the idea of a teen drama show to hybe with their idols :) ] so in terms of plotting each episode down to a t, i finished plotting until jake’s episode, but in terms of writing, i’ve just started putting down the words for jay’s introduction right after the aftermath of heeseung’s episode ending. as i’ve written here, i also will be writing additional contents on @interactivemochi (i’m plugging my side blog too much, but hey i made that so yall can interact with my characters, don’t @ me). so in between main and additional contents, smirch will be updated biweekly as well and if you want main stories only, then it would be monthly

crossroads: third priority, i let jongseong down cause it was for his april birthday but i just don’t feel satisfied with the ending yet and i don’t wanna pressured myself again to write until finish even though i’m not satisfied (imo, this is a perfect fic for summer). projected word count to be around 30k or more. believe me, this will be released in june 1st

pizzeria run: fourth priority as i will be releasing this as a birthday special for sunoo so right around his birthday in june.

untitled “happily never after” collab entry (aka project cinder gyu): fifth priority as this has a certain release window around october

terra incognita: seasonal. will be divided into three acts (three-act structures here we go). i also got the idea to make hype around it by releasing posters, character introductions, and world-building materials. some spoiler about it is that it will be set in 2050 after both north and south korea have united and it is now called united korea (thank the “cyberpunk” series for that idea even though theirs become united in 2005)

menari dengan bayangan: non-priority (even though i’ve posted the main masterlist). "what’s with the back to back enhypen releases?" before this there is a txt wip that i haven’t put in my wip so that’s your txt content. i’m plotting sunoo’s part and i’m very excited to do stories revolving around a one 24-hour-window cause many things happen in 24 hours, going to start releasing after time wave ended or when terra incognita is also starting to release content

chromaquest: seasonal. i didn’t lie when i name this “the most ambitious project you have ever thought of” (yes i wrote that in 3rd person) cause i really didn’t think through what i’ve gotten myself into. as you probably know (or not, and that is okay!), chromaquest is inspired by toby fox’s games (undertale and deltarune) which means adventure, quirky characters, and combat. then i put d&d into the mix and it just changes everything. this is the craziest idea i’ve ever thought but i still will go forward with it. i’m going to treat this series like a d&d campaign with me playing four mcs and their npcs in solo sessions and then will be put into other media (which i just realized is like critical role with their "vox machina" campaign asdfghjkl help me). but for me to do that correctly, i have to prepare my world and the characters in them and consult with my sensei dungeon master of the campaign i’m in (who is also a toby fox’s games enthusiast) to do this right

loveless: non-priority. getting inspirations from txt’s magic island to john hughes’s sixteen candles and from wong kar wai’s fallen angels to sofia coppola’s lost in translation. this anthology will be a ride like the shoegaze album is to me

untitled “the virgin suicide”-inspired taehyun au: seasonal. one shot. might include some mystery (very short ik but if i continue this, it will be spoiler territory and i haven’t prepared sneak peeks of it yet cause i’m still plotting teehee)

the sun, the moon, and the eclipse: seasonal. tbh, i still hate that this au is called medieval cause my fic will be set in the early 19th century where royal houses are still there but it is passed the medieval era cause they have papers and the nearest au is regency au but this is not set in the uk asdfghjkl. writing-wise, it has been enjoyable plotting the one-shot down :D and i can give you a sneak peek that niki’s gonna be in this and he is going to be a bard ;)

untitled jonathan larson-esque txt 90s au series: seasonal. this is also going to be my comeback to writing theatre-like script(?) (i used to write some back in middle school) cause one of the members is going to be a playwright like john larson and another member is going to be a filmmaker like mark in rent

untitled heeseung au: seasonal. i have my desire to make young parents au but of course, i have to get this right, and with that comes research. cause i’m not planning to have a baby in college like they do /s

i know your gonna delete this but gonna ask anyway. as you know every jikooker read fanfic and follow fanart pages on twitter so since you can do masterlist/thread on your favorite jikook moments and favorite books why can't you do the same with fanfics and fanart cos lemme tell you theres some amazing fanartist out there who deserve recognition and its ok to read fanfiction even if you're old af with no kids everyone one does it 🤪

I sent this to a friend too to make sure that it wasn't just me that was totally turned off by the way you sent this ask in anon. (Spoiler, it wasn't just me.)

1. You started this ask OFF defensive when I've never given an indication that you should be defensive over reading fanfiction. Then it just got worse from there, digressing into being condescending and patronizing and full of assumptions. Want a nice answer from me, try asking nicely.

2. "Since you can do posts over books"

I can do posts over whatever I want. Idk what made you think otherwise. I answer asks because I'm nice, not because I pander to yall. If you choose to follow me, you choose to have whatever I post show up on your timeline. No matter what it is. Don't Wanna see it? Easy solution, unfollow me.

3. "Why can't you do the same over fics/art?"

Because I don't read them nearly as often as I do regular books, and because most of the fanfic I've been reading lately honestly aren't jikook related and more to do with my favorite book characters and post Canon adventures, high key mostly AFTG ones as my friends read the series and I miss the characters. And because no had asked me to.

4. No, not every jikooker reads fanfics. We are not a hive mind, we all like different things. I personally know a few people who don't and probably never will. It's just not for them. And that's okay. Idk if you've ever felt shamed for reading fics and that's why you acted like this right off the bat over this topic, but it's not okay to try and shame others for not doing something either. We can all love the same thing and love it in different ways. That's okay.

5. "There are amazing fan artists and writers out there that deserve recognition"

I absolutely agree. So if anyone wants to ask nicely, I would be more more willing to share some of my favorite creators here.

I really let asks get away from me lately. I was super focused on working on that Patreon Moment. With that done I can finally think about doing other things, so here’s a new collection of answers!

There won’t be. I’m sorry if you were hoping for that! The Patreon moment is meant to be entirely optional, it’s not something that gets you extra content in the main game.

Is the new CG artist the main one now? :0 I’ve noticed theres been a difference in the art style recently. Is the old CG artist still going to make art for the game? :0

The original artist still makes CGs for the game sometimes, but he mainly focuses on character sprites.

Are you going to put the NSFW our life moment on a website other than patreon? I would love to get it but I can't use patreon atm.

I don’t know. I'm afraid we can't release the Patreon Moment on a normal game storefront because we can't mix 18+ content with our family friendly game. If there's some other place similar to Patreon where it's not the normal type of full-scale public content releases we'd consider using that, but I’m not sure if there is another site that’s better than Patreon in that regard. I'm sorry.

Out of curiosity, in all of your games so far, which characters in each were the most fun to write? They obviously don't have to be your favorite characters!

Buffalo Seer in AFA, really everyone in XOD/XOBD is pretty equally entertaining to write, The Guide in LoV, and Cove in OL!

It’s people who talk generally about the process of how books become traditionally published and/or share their own experience as they attempt to be published. I noticed a bug with the Patreon moment when it comes to what your character wears. When Jamie and Cove are kissing while my character only had dresses selected, I had both the option to remove the dress or to remove the shirt... Picking one of the options to interact with Cove, after he removed his shirt, it had Jamie remove their shirt followed by ther pants despite only having dresses picked.

I’m afraid things haven’t been changed or removed, so I think you might’ve accidentally picked the wrong things somewhere along the way and locked yourself out of being able to propose by mistake. Sometimes you meant to say you want to get married but instead you mis-click and have it so the MC isn’t thinking about marriage or something. All I can suggest is starting from the beginning of Step 3 and making sure to follow the steps listed in the FAQ. I’m sorry for that.

Did yall remove some of the options for when youre making out with Cove in the charity moment? I could've sworn you could grab his bonkadonk and its not there anymore

This is the same situation as the above. We didn’t remove things and you’re not wrong that there are sometimes those options. But there are various choices you have to make to get those options and it sounds like you accidentally missed something. If your relationship isn’t long-term, you can’t do it for example.

Yeah, he’s awkward about it because he likes the MC and it feels very personal to share a straw with his crush.

Hi! I just wrapped up my second playthrough of Our Life, and I absolutely adore it, but I had a question. I went to the gallery and found I was missing 2 CGS (specifically Step 1-3 and 2-3) and I had no clue where they would've shown up. Which moments are those found in?

You get it by telling Cove about his dad offering you money to be his friend in Step 1 and Step 2. You can’t get both in one playthrough, since you can only tell Cove the truth once. I’m really glad you liked it!

I don’t know, aha. I think Baxter was around 5′10 and Derek was like 5′8/5′9, maybe. I really am not one who has specific heights for things in mind.

I was wondering if there is a way to transfer save data? Even if through the game files. I wanted to be able to transfer my save data from my desktop over to my laptop so that I could continue playing right where I left off from but I'm not entirely sure how to go about that.

If you save the save folder/persistent data of the game from your desktop and put it into the game folder on your other device, that could work.

Unfortunately, it’s not really something we have a plan for. We couldn’t finish the game if we tried to include every disability and have it be meaningful. It’d just be too much content to create. But if we decide to only include a few, how would we choose which disabilities get to be represented and which are left out? I don’t know. It’ll probably have to be something we don’t include as an option again, sadly. I’m sorry.

Honestly, I would like to thank Our Life for helping me come to terms with my sexuality. Before, I never would've actually thought that it was possible to like boys romantically and still be asexual. Almost all of the BL visual novels I've read had unskippable sexual content in them and it honestly just didn't click with what I feel. I'm glad I found Our Life. I love the game, the developers, and this fandom so much. Now, I can safely come out as homoromantic AND asexual (at least anonymously here anyway; my parents are still huge homophobes 😂).

Yeah, you can avoid the confession in Step 3 and then get it in Step 4.

Hi, my Cove wears bracelets through step 2 and 3 but I still don't get an option to give him a bracelet? I didn't even know that was possible until I seen someone else ask about it lol

Hm, did you use the Cove creator? Maybe there’s a bug where using the creator to add bracelets doesn’t fulfill the requirement to give Cove a bracelet in Step 3.

Wait, I'm dense, when does Baxter appear in step 2? Is it from big park firework? I feel so bad since i really love Baxter and waiting to buy his dlc.

It’s in the Soiree Moment. You have to be just friends with Cove, indifferent, or crushing but not ask Cove to the dance at all. Then while there you can find someone new to dance with. But if you bring Cove to the dance while crushing, the MC won’t wanna dance with anyone else so you can’t get the scene.

In step 2 when we go to the soiree I made my mc go alone and baxter chooses the mc to dance, i'm curious, why did he pick the mc? sorry if this has been asked before!

Because the MC looked to be around his age, seemed to also be searching for a partner, and had nice legs. A perfect option for him.

I read some of the FAQs, and I saw that we could tell Baxter about the condo that he rented there was previously the mean old grandparents. how do we get the mc to tell him that?

It happens in the DLC Moment “Late Shift”. If you don’t have a job you instead get a longer scene with Baxter.

I’m afraid I’m not sure what you mean. Are you asking how we programmed the screen or something script related? Adding Moments like that is pretty straightforward, though. You just have buttons that open to different labels and then the scripts are essentially individual short stories/vignettes. Good luck with your VN!

Since Autumn becomes gender fluid later in the game, will there be a character who remains as he/him to romance in game?

OL1 has the he/him LIs, OL2 is all about other genders.

I don't want to impose on your creative plans, but a parrot could possibly make a good pet in an OL-type game? They're pretty long-lived and likely to still be thriving by the end even if the MC got them back in step 1.

I do appreciate the suggestion, but I’m afraid it’s not likely going to happen. I understand there are technically some animals that could theoretically live long enough to last the whole game that or we could have the MC only get a pet after some years have already passed. But the many things that would have to be considered/accommodated for makes it just something we probably can’t manage adding. I’m sorry.

Can you date Cove and still have your family comfort you in the car?

You can’t get Cove’s Step 3 confession scene if you have the family comfort you in the car. But that’s not the only way to date him. You can get together with him earlier in the game or later on in Step 4.

Is Mc always going to be the one walking down the aisle or could Cove do it? Also could you choose to have one of your moms walk you?

No. Cove wouldn’t want to walk down the aisle like that and the MC automatically respects that. And the MC also gets to have their preferences respected, so it’s up to you whether they want to do an aisle walk or not. You also can pick who, if anyone, walks with you.

Once step 4 is out, will you be able to go the whole game on crush/love without either of you confessing?

Yes, as long as you tell the game you don’t want to progress the relationship. Even in Step 4 it won’t force you to officially get together.

He’s only a friend unless you get his romance story.

Step 4 is just an epilogue in both games.

Nope. Cliff has a very small interest in sex. If he’s not in a real relationship with a partner he’s crazy about it simply isn’t something he feels a need for, so one night stands wouldn’t even cross his mind.

Maybe! There are side characters who could be given romance stories, but whether or not it will happen depends on funding and how long everything else takes to finish.

The fandom is trash and so is the creator, i hope they put more love into clover not just made him a side character that exist. I use to draw clover very much too but see how people attack on me cus i color skin with my cannon got me tired and sick of it. Not everything have to be black yk👁️👄👁️☕

Understandable. I go by dough color whenever I colored the cookies just so I won‘t get attacked for “oh no youre whitewashing” or “oh no youre blackwashing.” Folks always say “hey the colorpicker is right there, use it” when theyre too light but always go for darker when they color. What happened to the colorpicker, fam.

(Warning: Long post, but I ain’t putting it under readmore nyahaha)

However, I strayed from the color picker for an experiment. I got attacked for making vampire cookie pale, but it was a set up for the joke where he’s dying because he hasnt had anything to drink. (But I posted pale vampire before the comic. On here, I posted the pale vampire picture and the comic in the same post.) It didn‘t bother me because I knew what I was doing. There was backlash and blocking and fighting in the replies (yes, this was on twitter). I was streaming myself coloring the picture and I asked my friends “Yall wanna see if people get mad at me for making Vampire pale here and just post it.” I was testing to see if people will check my twitter for context and get the joke, or view the picture on its own and accuse me of being a whitewashing racist. Guess what the result was.

People who don’t follow me quote retweeted that drawing of vampire cookie holding a sign that said “dipshit“ upside-down and spreading around I’m a racist. Yet they didn’t dare to check who they are accusing of being a racist. They didn’t check who I was or what I did or if there was more to that silly picture than it being the sole evidence that I am a whitewashing bozo racist. It was a set up to a joke that they didn’t even try to find the punchline for, because they don’t know me. They don‘t know I’m a funny haha shitposter who has to spread their drawings across several posts because twitter has an image limit. The punchline all along was them calling me a racist and proving my hypothesis for the experiment correct.

They paid all the attention to the skin color and I thought, “yes yes this is what I wanted. Now let‘s see if they go to my page and see that I did it on purpose to gain their attention to focus in on the skin color and see the followup. “ But they didn’t. Immediate block after seeing the terminal whiteness of his skin. And that really was the punchline. Folks don‘t want to dig deep, they only focus on the surface. They don’t want context. What they see is what they get: What they saw was whitewashing and what they get is the conclusion of me being a racist.

Comedy involves timing, sometimes you have to wait to give the punchline because the set up hasn’t set in. The first joke was seeing vampire holding the sign upside down, and you think, wow what an idiot. But the next picture is he himself hanging upside down, like a vampire, and now the picture is upright. And you think, oh i see. That‘s silly. But the second joke is for those that focused on how pale he is. The punchline had two parts: The accusation of racism and the other is the follow-up comic where he drinks some juice and he’s back to his original lively color and not pale because he’s dying. I got a laugh out of both because I’m a conniving asshole who knows how to manipulate the masses and is sorry for having to explain such a complicated joke/experiment.

Off the comedy and onto the racism, I know whitewashing and I know blackwashing. I have tried to change the color of my skin to fit in. I was scrubbing myself down with whitening soap and staying indoors in the shade so I can get pale for cosplay. I’ve went to the beach without sunscreen multiple times because “I’m not dark enough to be filipino.” I’m accepting my rough, dry ass, mocha frappucino skin color. You should accept your skin too.

And to the main point of all this: Coloring a gijinka of a cookie shades or tints variant of their dough is not whitewashing or blackwashing.

And lemme tell you, in my Almighty POC opinion, that coloring the humanization of a cookie in a color lighter or darker than the dough is not racist. Because, and let me hear the folks in the back say it: They are fictional cookies whose “souls” are put into dough. Dough, as in edible, unsentient, globs of ingredients of which can be modified in color based on the flour, the sugar, the food coloring, or whatever other food is shoved in there.

It’s a fictional world with made up logistics to create a universe where cookies come to life and run away from witches and cake monsters. And we are real world people taking these cookies and making humanizations of these cookies to fit our own headcanons because drawing semi-2D cookies are hard and we want to give them real penises. Don’t get mad at small internet artists for taking their favorite cookies and drawing them in their own likeness because the ”human cookie” they drew doesn’t have the same skintone as you.

I’m sooooooo sorry this Korean Artist with 20 followers on twitter didn’t provide you with the representation you crave. How about take it to the creators of media that use actual humans and ask them for representation. Or you make your own characters and force the representation by your own beautiful hands. That’s what I’m doing, making OCs and giving them backstories, and that’s more enjoyable than fighting with children on the internet because they didn’t color a ”human cookie” the matching shade of your imagination.

These are cookies. We can take a mallet, crumble them to dust and snort up their dusty carcass through a rolled up 20 dollar bill. Color them however you want, there are more things to worry about than the innocent human artist trying to show their drawing of a cookie that represents them as a human.

Understand, we humans, have more depth than a cookie, because we are 3-Dimensional physically but also personally. Not every person who has done/said something you deem as racist is racist, because as humans, we have the capability to change and are more than just the one instance you viewed on twitter. Go deeper than one post to put your judgement on a person.

Warnings: None! Well its my first Dream fic and it hasn’t really been edited so maybe that should be a warning lol but mostly just fluff :) Also use of irl names, idk how Dream feels about that so please let me know if I should change it! :)

A/N: Heyyyy... Long time so see! Um... so here’s a dream fic! I am done my first year of uni now so if yall wanna start up some requests I can try and do that again? Probably will mostly be along the lines of the Dream SMP or maybe even other streamers since that’s what I’ve been interested in lately. My requests have never really closed, I’ve just been inactive, but I’ll try to start writing again!

It was a long night of shifting between games with friends and discord conversations. I combed my hair back as my eyes grew tired as the screen shifted to a victory for the imposters. I sighed leaning back in my chair seconds before I got the last kill of the game, earning Karl and me the win.

“Wow…” Rae spoke up as everyone began to unmute.

“S/N??” Sykkuno piped up from his side of the call. I let out a little tired laugh as I returned to the main lobby.

“I think that was LG for me guys,” I spoke out hearing a few pleas against it. “Sorry, I’ve been streaming for like…” I trailed off checking the time, 12:30, “6 hours now? I’m ready for bed, honestly.”

“I should probably do the same,” Dream spoke up, him being in the same timezone as me.

“You guys really should leave the east coast, PST is where it’s at.” Corpse mumbled as I opened back up my stream chat.

“I know, I know, but I can’t get myself to leave my hometown.” I laughed out as I skimmed over my chat reading the goodnight wishes and the thanks for streaming messages.

“Well, I live on the east coast and I’m fine to stay up.” Karl joked as I let out a yawn.

“Does anyone have any fills?” Toast asked. “If not we might have to end it here.”

“Toast aren’t you in the same time zone as me right now?” I asked out. “Go to bed.”

“I don’t need sleep, S/N.” He commented back.

“Ok fair.” I chuckled as my little character ran around the lobby before going to the computer and messing around with the skins and hats.

“Sorry guys, I think all my fills are done for the night.” Corpse explained to the lobby.

“Its no worries we can always play another time!” Rae reassured everyone. “Well, goodnight everyone!”

“Goodnight!” Everyone chimed before signing out of the call.

I muted myself and ended my stream, forgetting to leave the call. I thanked the donos and read chat, making tired comments. I answered a few questions I managed to catch in the chat before ending the stream. As I was about to leave discord I saw that Dream’s little icon was still in the call with me.

“Lurking much?” I joked as I unmuted my mic.

“I thought you were going to bed?” He remarked with a small laugh.

“Eventually, I just couldn’t use my brain anymore after that last game.”

“I don’t blame you, you played well, y/n.” Using my real name rather than my stream name clarified that he wasn’t streaming either. “If you’re not too tired, we can stay on the call if you want?”

“I’m down, honestly, I’m just winding down before bed.” I mentioned as I checked my phone, opening a few social media apps to catch up on what I missed since starting my stream.

“So, y/n when do you plan on visiting? Sap and I are still waiting for you to come down.” He questioned, causing me to look up from my phone, closing it before setting the device back down on my desk. His camera obviously was not on but I found my attention on his discord profile picture.

“Soon, Clay.” I laughed leaning back in my chair and tucking my legs up to my chest.

“You said that last time.” He laughed a little more tired this time.

“Flights can be expensive, especially so last minute.” I made an excuse as I looked over to my second monitor and found myself googling flights.

“I literally told you I’ll pay for your flight to Florida, y/n.” He teased as I hummed in response, my attention mostly on the travel website I was looking at.

“I’m a big girl Dreamwastaken, I can pay for my own flight.” I chuckled before closing the website.

“Y/n your classes are done now, you have all the time in the world, leave Canada and come visit, please?” I smiled at his question before letting out a yawn.

“Fuck it.”

“Wait really?” Clay piped up, shocked and excitement evident in his voice.

“You made a really convincing argument. When do you want me to visit?” I asked before re-opening the tab and looking at prices.

“Right now.”

“Right now?”

“Yes, right now.”

“Thats not happening Clay.” I laughed before finding a date and hovering over the purchase button. “How about the weekend? It gives me time to pack and get some things sorted.”

“Yes! Perfect! This is so exciting y/n!” He smiled, his voice raising a little bit which caused me to laugh. We sorted out the details and eventually booked the tickets and talked about how excited we were for me to come to Florida.

I’ve known Dream for a couple of years now, mostly through streaming with friends. Obviously, I knew of him before because of the Dream SMP and how popular it got. But through the years we have grown close, this even confused fans. Shipping was natural and happened quite frequently, which we ignored in the beginning, but as time passed feelings began to grow. We never talked about it but the flirting and the comments we’d share both on stream and off-stream just felt so right.

We were both faceless content creators, and being this close was quite strange as we have never met or let alone seen each other in person. As I packed my clothes a couple of days later I felt the nerves settle in. I shook off the panic of what if he doesn’t like me or think I’m attractive enough. But it was hard to shake.

I found myself jittery as the plane began to descend. I peered out the window looking at the ground as it grew closer and closer. The nerves grew more and more intense as I knew Dream was the closest he’s been to me since we first met. I felt myself smiling through the panic as I reached to grab my backpack under the seat in front of me.

When we finally were able to disembark the plane I quickly texted Clay that I was here and told him that I was wearing a f/c hoodie so they could find me. I tried to find the baggage claim as I followed the people who were on the same flight as me. My phone buzzed in my pocket telling me that Clay responded.

‘Sap and I just pulled in, see you soon!’

I smiled at his text message and the nerves went crazy, but a huge smile was on my face at the same time. I opened Twitter and quickly started a new tweet to show my audience that I was on, in fact, a last-minute trip. I attached a picture I snuck as I disembarked the plane and made a quick caption before posting and pocketing my phone.

My phone began to buzz from notifications as I plugged in my earbuds and played my music while I tried to locate myself through the airport. As I finally found the baggage claim I stood by one of the conveyor belts and scanned over the luggage trying to find my own. A couple of minutes passed before I felt a hand on my shoulder. I quickly turned around, pulling out my earbuds to see the face of one of my streamer friends.

“Y/n?”

“Sapnap!” I smiled before pulling him in for a hug.

“Hey, how was the flight?” He asked as we pulled apart and stood waiting for my luggage.

“Long enough, I’m just excited I’m here now.” I smiled as I pocketed my phone after wrapping the wires from my earbuds around it.

“Trust me, so are we.” He smiled in return. I saw my suitcase and quickly went to grab it, Sapnap helping me as well. “Clay is in the car, we were struggling to find a parking spot so he pulled up and is waiting for us.” He informed me as he took my suitcase and helped me wheel it out. “He’s nervous.” He mentioned as we grew closer to the doors.

“Trust me, so am I. Other than people in my everyday life, you two are the first to see me in person, or even my face.” I said as I fidgetted with the strings of my hoodie.

“You’re in good hands, y/n, try not to worry.” He smiled softly at me.

We exited through the doors to see a vehicle parked up to the curb. I felt the nerves build up in my stomach as a head of ashy blonde hair exit the car door. A smile found its way onto my face as my eyes lit up. As the man walked around the car he stopped in his tracks and replicated the same, bright smile, green eyes lighting up. I stopped everything and bolted forward pulling Clay into a tight hug.

“You’re finally here.” He muttered into my h/c hair, pulling me in tighter.

“I’m finally here.” I smiled into his green sweatshirt, feeling at ease.
