I am in my yandere phase at 1 am!

Yandere madrigal family!

(Everyone has aged in this so Dolores is in her 30's mirabel and Camilo are 21 Antonio is 15, Luisais is 27-28 Isabella also 30)

I have a oc Bella who has been with the Madrigal family since hers disappeared 😕 😒 so the family took her only for her to know ic their true dark side.

Bella is sorta like Rapunzel but instead of the family using her their protecting her from people I the village.

Bella Madrigal is the artist and youngest member of the magical family. She has long hair that glows when she sings. She also has eyes that glow along with her hair and Alma was more then happy to take the then 15 year old girl in.

After she passed Mirabel took her place and continued what her abuela started, she never let Bella go by herself as she put it "The world isn't safe mija you must MUST stay here. "

All Bella does is sigh in defeat of her older sister figure and say "Si Mira. "

She smiled as she told the others to watch her. Antonio was the most non yandere of them all and he kept it a secert form his siblings and parents "Tonio have you seem Bella?! Mirabel is going to kill me if I can't find our flor!" Said Isabella as she panicked.

"I think she's in your garden. " He lied she was hiding from them again because she didn't like them constantly following her and asking her questions 🙄

"You are a life saver!" She ran to her garden

"Cost is clear." "Thanks Tonio you didn't have to do that. " "of course I did they shouldn't be hounding you like that. "

The elders are the same when someone hurt their arm she was going to use her hair until Julietta ran with a plate of food "No! No heh no no mija mama got it." She said petting her head giving them food and healed up "I had that one."

"No no Bella I told you that have the healing under control." "But-." Agustin pat her head "Now now bumblebee don't argue with your mother listen to your mama and papa."

"Yes papa." He smiled "Good mija now run along back inside. "

Her other parents who were her tio and tia were no help either. Camilo burned his hand cooking and Pepa stopped her and called in her sister "No mija let your mama fix that."

"But tia Pepa-." "Ah ah no mama and no buts." She said "Felix! " "Papa and no buts listen to your mother. "

Camilo pet her head "Listen my chameleon it's ok you are safe as long as your within these walls." "I can't wait to move out and leave." She said they gasped in shock "Bella! Why would you say such a thing?!" Said Pepa

"Because it's obvious I'm too much for you guys! Maybe Tony was right Maybe I am too old to be babied 😔. " They got silent and their dark scary faces showed especially Pepa

"My little butterfly 🦋 who is Tony and why would he say such things?" Said mirabel "Well he asked how old I was and I said 21 and I told him I still live here and laughed at me saying I don't do anything in this family."

They were pissed "Mi amor why don't you wait here with Camilo while we have a word with him?" Said Pepa as they left Camilo held by her as she was upset by his words "Hey it's ok my butterfly everything will be ok."

Weeks went by and Tony went missing his family were worried but the Madrigal family didn't care they took care of him and made sure he never bothered Bella again.

Camilo took care of her and always watched her "My butterfly we must go home dinner will start soon." "Ok." She went home with Camilo and as she got there she felt annoyed because everyone was going to ask her about her day, who did she talk to, who was around her?

She wished they'd give her space she goes to her room as she was at her window seeing the moon then a knock came to her door it was Camilo "Food's ready." "Camilo I want to go outside tomorrow..alone..by myself. "

He looked at her for a moment then laughed "Oh prima your so funny..you want to go outside by yourself? "

"Yes I do!" She said excited as she went downstairs Camilo told everyone Isabella was shocked her little sister, her baby, her sweet darling rose wanted to leave her! "You want to go outside? By yourself? " She said "Oh why Bella look at you as fragile as flor. Still a sappling just a sprout. "

"Oh Bella you know why we have you in Casita? " Said Pepa "I know-." "That's right sis to keep you safe." Said Luisa as mirabel hugged her "And sounded. " Pepa spun her around then embraced her "Guess we've should have known this day was coming."

"Soon one day you'd want to live our nest." Said Agustin "You will soon but not yet!" Said Bruno "But-." Isabella shused her as she placed a finger on her "Trust us my beautiful pet Familia knows best!"

Pepa: "We know best listen to your mamas it's scary world out there."

Camilo: "familia knows best,Listen to your Familia something will go wrong I swear! "

Isabella: "Roughins, thugs, poison ivy, quick sand! "

Julietta: "Cannibals."

Bella: "What?!"

Antonio: "And snakes!"

Agustin: "The plague!"

Bella: "No!"

Camilo: "Men with pointy swords and teeth! " He said shape shifting into a tall man before Dolores hit him making him turn back.

You didn't expect to be taken away the day you were finally allowed to go outside by yourself.  You didn't know the people who took you but they kept telling you that they were helping you. Help from what? You didn't know.

You were about to cry out to Dolores, but they quickly silenced you as they took you from Encanto.

Dolores was too late to realize she couldn't hear you anymore.

So, you spent 5 years with the strangers who kidnapped you. You had learned what they meant when they were helping you, as you tried to get to what should be a healthy family dynamic. You had to say, you liked it much more then with the Madrigals. Sure, younger you loved them dearly, but they were manipulative and too overwhelming.

The family who kidnapped you was made out of a tall man named Shade with his wife Alice and their daughter L.

And with the 5 years you spent with them, you loved them like your actual family.

But that all came to an end once the Madrigals had found you again.

You were running around town, chasing down a kid named Dan. He stole your stick you found, and it was an amazing stick, so you really needed to get it back. You wanted to give it to Shade as a little gift.

Or that was until you ran into someone which was weird. Normally people didn't come near the woods unless for woods, maybe it was Artemis. She hated people and mostly lived around the woods.

"I'm sorry-"

"[Y/n]?"

That voice caused you to freeze in your place. It couldn't be. Alma would never let them leave Encanto. Would she?

You slowly look up as they say your name again. You visibly pale as you're face to face with Mirabel Madrigal. She looked beyond happy as she stared you down, you wore if she had a tail, it would be wagging.

"..Mirabel…" You muttered, taking a step back as she took one forward, obviously wanting to take you back to the Madrigals.

It wasn't even a few seconds later until all of the Madrigals showed up, causing you to start shaking in your place. They all had looks of worry and happiness on their faces besides Dolores, who just looked betrayed by you. Did she know you chose to stay here? If so, how long was she spying on you?

Alma stepped forward, a supposed to be comforting and warm smile that used to work on you but knowing the true meaning just sent shivers down your spine. "[Y/n], you're safe." She started, only coming closer but pausing seeing you back away. "How did you escape? Why are you still here?"

"I-I, um..." You didn't know how to word it, but Dolores did as she suddenly spoke up.

"Because they choose them over us." She spat out, sending you a quick glare. "They brainwashed them."

You sent one back, "They did not!" You shouted at her causing her to flinch in surprise. You faltered, "I-I'm just...happier here..." You whispered.

Julieta looked at you with disappointment in her eyes. "So, they did brainwash you."

"I-"

Camilo Interrupted you, an unusual frown on his face. "So, you wanna leave us after all we've done for you?" He asked, and kept going, not waiting for your answer. "Don't you remember we're the only ones who care about you?" Alma sent a harsh glare at him after that.

"Camilo."

"What? It's true."

You clenched your fists as you started to build up a bit of courage. "Shut up...!" You blurted out, causing them to look at you in surprise. This was the first time you've ever told anyone of them to shut up. Their gazes make you shrink back in fear and before you knew it you were shouting for Shade or Alice or anyone to come and help you.

Not even a second after that, a vine wrapped around your mouth, silencing you.

Isabela crossed her arms and took a few short steps over to you as you wiggled in the vines. She gave you a scowl, her eyes staring down into your soul. "Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way." She stated, "I think you'll like the easy way more."

Before you could make any sort of agreement, or disagreement, your savior had finally shown up. But you wished he didn’t.

Shade quickly cut down the vine and pushed you behind him. “What do you think you’re doing with my child?” He asked, tightening his grip on his sword as he sent a glare at them. But that didn’t faze them, what did was him calling you, his child.

Thunder clouds formed over Pepa’s head as it slowly started to drizzle. “Your child? Yours?” She repeated as the clouds grew larger, and that was never a good sign. Felix didn’t even tempte to calm down his wife, he was just as upset as her. But surprisingly Alma did, once she sent a quick strange look towards Isabela.

“Pepa, you have a cloud.” She stated calmly. Pepa let out a frustrated groan as she started to stroke her hair, mumbling “Clear skies, Clear skies.” After that, Felix rubbed circles on her back.

“Isabela, let [Y/n] go please.”

Isabela nodded as the vines around you dropped you to the ground gently. You looked over at them confused but Shade didn’t falter. He kept his gaze steady on Alma as she sent another look towards her before a vine went straight through Shade’s heart. Blood started to leak out of his mouth as he dropped his sword to the ground.

You were fucking speechless as Shade’s body dropped to the floor. You couldn’t look away even as a warm hand landed on your shoulder. It was Julieta’s as she kneeled down to your height, holding something she probably made. She didn’t say anything as she forcefully fed it to you, and it didn’t even take long for the effects to kick in.

The last thing you saw was Shade’s dead body before the world turned dark.

Kinda Anti-climaxed but I can’t write fight scenes and I didn’t know how to add the others kinda gory scenes

Hey is your request is open? If it is can you do yandere madrigal family headcanons, like how they meets the reader, how do they act around the reader, are they madly in love with the reader, how they got the reader ect.

Most of this are of diferent scenarious but you could also take it as the entire family beign yandere, wich if it is the case the ignore most of the how you meet scenarios and simply choose one or make your own, since this is mostly the kind of yandere they are and what they do, but eitherwya I hope this is good, I may have gotten a bit carried away but I think it is kind of what anon requested.

Trigger warning: Abusive relationship both platonic and romantic, self harm, manipulaition, gaslighting, drug addiction, mentions of torture and phisical punishments, (if I missed anything please let me know)

Julieta (Platonic): She would meet you as a child, you have always been prone to injuries, so she quickly became fond of you, since you reminded her of her husband and she couldn't help but become fond of you, but after the years passed her obsession would grow and grow, and and some point she would snap, seeing how much you got hurt, she would quickly get rid of your irresponsible and undeserving parents before taking you in and give you the love and care you deserve, and she someday hopes you talk with her about those little looks you've been sharing with one of her daughters/niece/nephew.

I honestly can't really see her as much of a yandere since if we are going to keep her relationship with Agustín like in canon, it wouldn't make a lot of sense for her to not have shown the same tendencies towards Agustín, but if she had I would say that she would be the type to gaslight a LOT, she would also guilt-trip both her husband and the reader, she would see the reader as another child and would love for them to become officially part of the family, either by marriage to one of her daughter niece and nephew or even by "adoption", and if we want to go a bit darker, she would be more than willing to hurt the reader to prevent them from escaping, she had more than enough experience with her husband and is not afraid to use it on the reader, this makes her the most dangerous of the triplets.

Agustín: Just like Julieta you met him many time when you both got injured and just like his wife, he became quite fond of you, the fact that it took so long for Julieta to snap was that Agustin tried to dissuade her of doing anything, since even if he had come to see you as a sort of child, but he knew the transition into the family would be incredibly hard for you, such a wild and rebel spirit would never want to be locked away in the house, even if Julieta just wanted to protect you, so he want you to be happy but even he couldn't dissuade Julieta for long.

I really don't think either of the husbands would really condone this kind of behavior if they themselves weren't subjected to it, like I said Julieta would always dismiss any kind of concern he talked about the way the family is behaving towards the reader, he would also be pretty used to it, so I wouldn't be that surprised that he has not only become used to it, but also in some way had been made to believe it is normal and even partake in it, he would more than anything become very protective of the reader and he would mostly just guilt-trip the reader, but would feel absolutely horrible about it, although from all his yandere tendencies, he is actually the type to be willing to let you go, if it ment your happiness, he hold an opportunity to escape but you need to be smart and act carefully.

Pepa (platonic): She would probably meet you while you are either helping your family with taking care of the lands and the crops or she would talk with you while she helped water the crops since you never really cared about getting wet, you would probably end under her care after you family tragically die, their deaths would not have been caused by her but you were in the accident and the fact that you had been one step from death, one step from her losing you, would make her snap.

She just like Julieta has this kind of behavior with Félix, but while Julieta uses more gaslighting, she is an expert in guilt-tripping and will never feel bad about it, she will always justify herself and I kind of see her as a stalker and she is VERY good at manipulating, her spending almost her entire life having to control every little emotion she has become very good at faking them too and will not think twice before using this to guilt-trip the reader, but she isn't someone who likes giving you any physical punishment but don't think she won't ask Julieta for help, if you are carefull with her, she is the least dangerous of the triplets.

Félix: I think he would meet the reader after someone else in the family brought them in, since even if he has become used to this kind of behavior he would try to make the change for you as bearable and smooth as possible, since he really doesn't want you too ever think unwelcome or unloved by the family and he really wants to be someone you can talk to.

He is a case very similar to Agustín, he has become incredibly used to this kind of behavior and doesn't see it as the horrible thing it is, but he still isn't completely okay with it, so he would be a safe-ish family member, even if he will probably not do anything to you and would even become someone you could confide with, he will also tell Pepa if she makes him and he will also turn a blind eye to any punishment that you are given, even if he does feel horrible for not helping you, he will do his best to soothe you, he at times would be willing to turn a blind eye to you not being where you should be, but you can't take this for granted, if you have angered Pepa previously he will not be willing to offer any kind of help anymore.

Bruno (Platonic): He met you while casita was being rebuilt, you were always willing to help and due to your age, you didn't hold any kind of real grudge against him, but the biggest thing he would love would be you immense curiosity about his gift and how you never took any of his bad prophecies the wrong way, but he would probably snap if he ever saw any prophecies hinting at you dying, the prophecies would not be set, like Mirabel's, so he would immediately take action.

This man WILL also use his gift to make sure you never try to escape and even to control you, like telling you that you will be in terrible danger if you ever leave casita, him, the family, that kind of stuff and he is actually the type to also physically hurt you if you ever break his rules and in the aftermath of this punishments he will soothe you as if he didn't just break your finger or something while saying that it is your fault for breaking the rules, don't you understand that he is just trying to make you understand, this hurts him more than it does you he is the second most dangerous of the triplets.

Alma (Abuela): You would probably be one of the church's kids, so your chores were to help around the Madrigal's house, this made it so that you met Alma many times and trough time she even became a mentor and even motherly figure, she would see so much of Pedro in you so she every time you left she would be afraid you would never come back, until she snapped and made it so that you never had to leave.

This woman has gone through so much stuff, she lost her home, her husband was killed, and she was only left with her three children, who get their behavior from her, she became incredibly controlling, obsessive, and overbearing towards her children, later towards her grandchildren and not towards you, if you think the triplets are bad, she is the whole ass package, she will make you doubt everything you have ever believed, she will make it so that you feel like a monster forever wanting to leave the family and even if she really hates punishing you in any way, she knows that it is necessary for you to be safe.

Isabella (romantic): You both met as children and became good friends, you being from a family that made clothing so as a seamstress you would help her with her dress more than once, so she would come to admire you but as time came she would begin to idolize and objectify to the point where she would start to disregard your opinion but hide it as her being worried.

She LOVES to use her vines to tie you up and keep you in different positions, she would see you a lot more like an object, like a trophy or even a toy just for her, she would love to play with the reader's senses, by blindfolding them, by putting them earplugs and since she can grow any kind of flower I wouldn't doubt she would begin to use them to create different serums to either sicken the reader, make their touch sense go haywire, and I wouldn't be surprised if at some point the would blind the reader to make them depend on her even more, but to make sure they will stay with her forever, she would probably make addicted to some of her serums and make them completely dependent to her, even you are open with how much you hate her, she will actually love that since she will punish you by withholding the serum and miking you beg while asking for forgiveness.

Dolores (romantic): She would first hear you, you would be from a musicians family and she would fall in love with all the songs that you would play and how much heart you would poor into every song you ever played, she would first find you and start to stalk you and of course due to her prophecies you would be already betrothed which would make her snap.

Say goodbye to privacy with this woman, you will never be able to even breath without her knowing, she would actually be very subtle with her tendencies, she would approach you normally and befriend you, while slowly roping you into her little web, imagine, if a frog is thrown into boiling water it will try to escape, but if you put it into cold water first and slowly turn the heat up, it will never notice until it dies, this is basically Dolores, she is very good at manipulation and she also like to mess with you, by making you doubt basically anything you ever say or hear.

Luisa (romantic): You would probably be some of the lamb herders of the village, long before what happened in the movie occurred you would always tell her to come help her watch over the sheep's as a way to make your friend rest for a few minutes, you would always chat and due to this she started to to see you as a god send who had bothered to pay attention to HER, so she had to have you, she saw how even if you acted calm and relaxed you were always busy and your eyebags were not subtle, someone like you should never have to be tired, she would make sure of it.

I see Luisa as one of the most bearable yandere from the family, she will spoil you rotten, she wants you to NEVER have to even lift a finger, she wants you to rely on her for anything and everything, but don't be fooled, she is her mother's daughter, she WILL punish you if you ever disobey her and with her, you would have the least attempts to escape, because her punishments will only become worse and worse as she slowly starts to LIKE breaching your bones and seeing you cry even, you better be careful with her, because she will at some point break your spine so that if you are lucky can't walk anymore but if you are unlucky you won't be able to move again, making you rely on her for everything forever.

Camilo (romantic): He probably met you while pulling a prank on you, but what actually caught his attention was when t¿you returned the prank tenfold not some days later, after this you began to talk and even play pranks together or on each other, it would have gone like a cute friendship and even as a future relationship, but he slowly began to obsess over you, ALL of you, your hair, how you stand, your mannerisms, your gestures, he wanted all of you, he would first take your form in his room a marvel at your entire body, he would also dress up in what he thought would look cute on you while also trying to mimic all of your mannerisms, but even if he got to the point were even your parents would have fallen for it, he was never satisfied, nothing could ever be like you, you were perfect and he needed you so he would have you.

He is a master of not only guilt-tripping but also manipulation, he will use his gift to slowly isolate you from everyone, by taking your form and acting rudely towards others or vice versa, and once you are his and unable to escape he will love you just like the others, but he will also dress you up like a doll and from all the Madrigal's he is the only one who will NEVER hurt you physically, he hates the idea of ever laying a hand on your beautiful and perfect body, but he is more than willing to hurt and even torture you psychologically, for example by taking your form and making you see him do horrible things to a friend, to leaving you completely isolated for weeks and even for a month, he is also willing to starve you if you truly do something horrible, like if you were to try and escape after acting as if you had finally understood that you belonged there.

Mirabel (romantic): You would probably be someone disabled, either from birth or by an accident, you would have something like a limp, which was something very bad in a farmers family, this immediately made you an outcast from a young age, which made you and Mirabel able to bond over the similarity, you both never treated eachother differently no matter what and thing were normal and happy for you, at least for a while until you got into a very loud shouting match with your mother about your limp, which Mirabel heard and couldn't understand how could someone ever think you were anything but perfect, you were to good for your ungrateful family, but she would make sure you are alway loved, she would make sure you never leave her because no one will love you like her.

She is VERY good at guilt-tripping you into many things, not only into not wanting to leave her, but she will guilt-trip you into hurting yourself, any physical punishment she makes you do it and she will make you think this is normal, but she always soothes and patches you up before smiling and going about her day as if this was normal.

Antonio: This poor child has no idea how much help he will be, but for you to get his help you will need ot be carefull and fast, although it will take for you to be punished first for him to get on your side, he doesn't know why his tía did what she did or why no one did anything but he want to help you, also a big factor will be that his animals would be very wary of the family since they can sense and even smell how sickening the air in house had become.

Casita: Casita will no actively harm you, even if ordered by any of the family but at the start she will make sure you never leave and she will sometimes trap you for the yandere to quickly catch you, but as time passes casita will stop cooperating and if you are lucky and play your card correctly, Casita will be on your side and help you escape.

Part 2!

The next day as Bella woke up going into the kitchen hoping to beat her family to breakfast and go to work early.

As she ate her food and left she quietly and quickly left the house. She thought things would be easy until "Morning Bella!" Said Camilo she groaned "Hi Milo."

"So where are you headed?" "To work. " "I'll join you. " "No..no there's no need." "Yes there is mama said I had to watch you to keep you safe if not she'll flood the village like she did when you where 16."

Bella left the house and never told anyone thus having Pepa flood the village 😑.

The teenage boy influenced her to sneak away that's when all hell broke loose and she never snuck out again.

"Ok ok you can come." "Great also Tia Julieta packed some of her healing meals ."

Disappointed that she couldn't use her beautiful long hair she spoke "I was actually going to use my hair milo. " He looked at her with a stern look "No don't ever use your hair on anyone else in the village..ever!"

Lunch time

Bella walked to the stairs hoping not to see her family until Agustin saw her "Mija how was your day?" "Oh great papa." He looked at her hair as if he was examining it like he always does.

The cracks in the wall showed up as she walked up the stairs as Bruno was getting scared "No no no mija you..you must stay here!"

Im so sorry for how shit this is- I have no clue on how to comfort people in the slightest-

You were years younger than your three older siblings with even three of their own kids being older than you. The only reason being is that Alma adopted you herself, surprising her family a bit but they welcomed you into the family with open arms and it was everything you could have asked for. 

But it also had its downsides, the villagers always felt the need to remind you that you were just the adopted Madrigal. It didn’t affect you most days, there was nothing wrong with being adopted. But sometimes it just hurt to remember that your original family didn’t want you anymore. 

Today was one of those days where it just hit you a little too much in the feelings. You were just playing with a few of the other kids around your age, and one of them [After losing so many times to you] decided to bring it up out of nowhere. You didn’t really like crying in front of people, so you had pretended it didn’t affect you in any way until you made it back to Casita. 

No one else was home, you thought and so you finally decided to let the tears fall as you sat on the stairs. No one would have known if Dolores didn’t report it straight to Alma. It was a rule that formed after you were adopted into the family, whenever something was wrong with you, always let Abuela know. 

Alma booked it straight to Casita, her heart breaking at the sight of you crying into the palm of your hands. 

Her face softened as she sat next to you. “What’s wrong?”

You quickly wiped away your tears, or tried to as they just kept coming. “M-Ma..!” Your eyes widened a bit before you put on a strained smile. “What are you doing home so early? You weren’t supposed to be back until tonight.”

“Dolores told me she heard you crying, now tell me. What’s wrong?”

You silently cursed Dolores, before softly shaking your head. “I-it’s nothing really…I’m just being sensitive, if anything.” 

"Nonsense." She shook her head, grabbing both of your hands and holding them gently in hers. "Please tell me what's wrong."

You bit the inside of your cheek for a moment, hesitating to look her in the eyes. What if she thought you were just a crybaby like the other kids thought? Maybe she'll throw you out like your birth parents. You took in a deep breath, "It's just...some kid brought up..them and I…" Tears began to leak from your eyes again. "I don't know why it's affecting me this much. It's not like I knew them that long...in fact, I barely remember them but still--" 

Alma's lips tightened in a straight line, she never liked to bring up the fact you weren't her child by blood, doing everything in her power to keep you away from anything that belonged to them. But before she could speak up, you pulled your hands away to wipe the new tears away. "See- Like I said, I'm just being sensitive. I have no reason to be crying." 

Alma let out a deep sigh, despite not wanting to have this exact conversation, she knew it was needed. "Mi hijo, it's understandable for you to be upset. You were only so young when-"

"When they deemed I wasn't good enough to be their child."

She rubbed circles on your back as a way to calm you down a bit. "Whatever the reason was, you're a Madrigal now. We're your family, and we'll love you no matter what."

You finally looked at her, furrowing your brows a bit as you thought about how you understood that already. But apart of you couldn't say anything about it, you knew how closed off she could be. Plus, you weren't any better at comforting people. So you just smiled at her, nodding your head. "Gracias, mami."

Alma smiled as well, pulling you in for a warm hug. "You'll always be my child no matter what."

So Alma started to invite the person to spend time with them, telling them stories of Pedro without mentioning the deep rooted trauma she has and how Pedro died. She saw the person as one of her children, just because they looked like her deceased husband she did not have romantic feelings for them and only wanted them safe. So slowly she started to introduce them to the family, wanting them to get along and the rest of the family also noticed the similarities they had with Pedro and they saw how their presence made Alma happier. Alma managed to convince their (the readers) family that they (reader) should live in Casita for their safety, and the family agreed as Alma is greatly respected in the village, as anyone is of the Madrigal family. So the reader moves into Casita with all of their stuff after Alma also discusses it with them and how Alma sees it that it is best for the family and for them (reader). Reader has their own room but spends most of their time with Alma per Alma’s request. They get to hear all kinds of stories from Alma about Pedro, Alma’s past, how Julieta,Pepa and Bruno were as kids but the reader also learns what happens behind all the important events and tasks Alma does as her service to the community. Alma does have a soft spot for the reader because of the fact that they look like her deceased husband but that does not mean they won’t get punishments whenever they break an important rule. However the punishment is usually an hour or three locked up in their room without company, not even animals. also depending on how badly they broke the rule, it could also mean that they spend a day in their room without company, even if it hurts Alma a little bit to force them to stay in their room. and don’t think Casita will help you, Casita wants to do what is best for the family and Casita listens the most to Alma so your stuck in Casita unless you are with Alma or with someone Alma told you to be around with.

You Can't Leave [Yandere Madrigal Family]

You wanted to leave Encanto and explore the outside world. Sure, Encanto was nice with lovely people, but you wanted something more.

But as a certain magical family would have it, you weren't going anywhere.

You wiped the sweat off your forehead as you finished getting everything ready.

"[Y/n]! Whatcha doing?" The local shapeshifter asked, looking back at your horse then at you.

You smiled at him, "It was supposed to be a surprise but." You gently patted Horse [I can't think of a name, so Horse is named Horse]. "I'm leaving Encanto."

Camilo's face faltered for a brief moment before he sent you a confused smile. "What?"

You rubbed the back of your head. "I'm going to leave Encanto and explore the outside world."

"Why?"

"Don't get me wrong, it's filled with amazing people, but I need a bit of adventure in my life." You shrugged, turning your back towards him as you looked through your bag again.

Camilo frowned, "When are you leaving?"

You let out a small 'hum' as you thought about it. "I was thinking maybe tonight. That way I can say goodbye to everyone."

"If that's the case then, how about one last Familia dinner?" He brought up, as you glanced back at him.

"Sure, if it isn't a problem."

"Great!" He jumped in the air, before running off. "Don't be late!"

You really shouldn't have came to that dinner invite.

When it was finally time, you didn't even need to knock on Casita's door. It already threw its doors wide open for you.

"Thank you, Casita." You sent it a nod as you walked inside, already getting tackled by Camilo a few seconds after.

You stumbled back a bit; Casita even helped you regain your balance. "Someone is happy to see me." You teased as Camilo got off of you. Though you couldn't put it past him, you were going to leave. Or that was your plan.

He didn’t get time to respond as the Golden Perfect Child; Isabela pushed him aside. But instead of being happy to see you, she looked upset. Camilo or Dolores most likely told them your plan.

You were gonna greet her, but she quickly interrupted you. “You’re leaving?!”

You sweatdropped, “Why Hello to you too…” You joked but that just worsened her mood somehow but luckily before she could go off, a savoir came to help.

“[Y/n]!” Mirabel ran over to your aid, as Isabela rolled her eyes.

You smiled warmly at her, “Hola, Pequeña Flor.” You greeted her, patting her head as Isabela sent a quick glare at her younger sister.

“Don’t know why you call her that, I’m the one with the gift to grow them.” Isabela grumbled, as you chuckled with a shrug.

“It just fits her.”

She left it as that as more people came to greet you.

You had to admit, you were going to miss them but still. You needed that adventure in your life. You promise to come back one day, just after you’ve been satisfied.

You talked a bit with Pepa, and Felix. They nor you brought up you were leaving, just small talk about random happy things.

Or that was until Alma finally showed up.

You glanced over to her and gave her a small wave. “Señora Alma, it’s good to see you.”

She sent you a gentle smile as Pepa and Felix moved out of the way. “You’re like family, [Y/n]. Please call me Abuela.” To which you just smiled at, even though no one would really say it, she favored you for reasons you’ll never know.

But her smile faltered as she looked at you straight in the eyes, for some reason feeling dangerous. “I’ve heard from two little birds that you plan on leaving. Is that true?” She asked, like she was hoping you were just joking.

But you sadly nodded your head, causing her breath to hitch. “It’s true. I wanna see more of the outside world.” You admitted, smiling a bit thinking of all the cool things you could find or see.

Breaking you out of thought, Alma held concern in her eyes. “Are you sure? It’s a dangerous world outside of Encanto.”

“I’m sure, and I’m completely aware of the dangers. I’m fine with it.”

But it seems like she wasn’t taking that answer, as your little talk started to become more like an argument between you two. Your guy's voices rising a little higher as both of you made new points on why you should leave and why you shouldn’t.

The other family members just watched the little fight, seemingly taking Alma’s side then yours. Even joining in sometimes to add more points on why you should stay. Why didn’t they think you could make it out there?

“I’M NOT A CHILD! I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!” You shouted, balling up your fists as you let out an angry huff.

The room became silent as everyone stared at you, Alma looked taken back while you couldn’t tell what the others were thinking. Maybe this dinner was a bad idea, it was supposed to be a sweet way to say goodbye but not anymore.

The silence became tense as you awkwardly rubbed the back of your neck. "I should go...I got a long night ahead of me..." You murmured as you quietly started to backup.

Or that was until Julieta spoke up with a soft smile. "Let me get you something to eat before you go." She offered, "As you said, you got a long night."

You thought about it for a minute, then hesitantly nodded. "Alright."

Her smile grew as she glanced at Isabela, "Isabela, could you help me?" The Golden Perfect child nodded and followed her mother to the kitchen. Leaving a weird feeling in your gut, but you ignored it. It would make you even more of a dick if you just suddenly left. You weren’t sure when you were gonna come back, and Julieta’s cooking was pretty good.

You bit your lip as you glanced at Alma and sighed. “I’m sorry, Señora Alma but I just need something more than this.” You sent her a meek smile. “I understand your concern though, but I promise I’ll be fine.”

She didn’t respond though, making your smile falter as Julieta came back holding her famous arepas. You noticed the slight smug expression on Isabela’s face, causing that weird feeling in your gut to come back.

But noneless, you gave Julieta a kind smile as she handed you the arepas. “Ah, Thank you, Señora Julieta.” You awkwardly shifted your weight, as everyone stared at you, waiting for you to take a bite.

You did so hesitantly, feeling too much anxiety to really enjoy it. “Great like always.” You complimented, but she didn’t say anything back. Just staring at you like she was waiting for something to happen.

And something did end up happening.

You suddenly felt calmer, and for some reason sleepier. Black dots filled your vision as you lost your footing and swayed a bit, Isabela’s vines helping you a bit with your balance.

The last thing you saw were the Madrigals staring at you, all with their own little smugness besides Antonio, who looked confused more than anything else.

They all thought you would be safer with them.

They all knew you were safer with them.

Hi, can I ask one about madrigal family yandere when the townspeople like hit Y/N when they have to vent their anger but they never hit Y/N in a visible place and put a cloth in its mouth so that Dolores wouldn't hear

I don't know if I explained myself

Even though you were adopted into the Madrigals, you still ended up getting a gift since you were adopted when you were four. 

Your gift was to absorb kinetic energy from everything that hit you, and it was stored in your body to make you stronger until you let it all out. The townspeople saw that as the perfect gift to vent their anger with but knowing how protective the Madrigals were with you, they had to do it in secret.

So whenever you were allowed in town by yourself once in a while, they took that as a chance to steal you away, somewhere a bit outside of Encanto while using something to silence your cries for help as they beat you like a dog until all of their anger was out.

Of course it never really left any marks, so you slowly began to think it was ok. You were helping them and Abuela always said to help the community and so it was ok as long as they were happy at the end of the day, you did a good.

But for some reason they never wanted you to tell your family, and you found that strange but agreed.

But the others noticed you having a bit too much strength then at the start of the day to the point you could have had Luisa’s gift instead. So that made them wonder what exactly what were you doing with your outside time? But you kept saying it was nothing, you were perfectly fine and that this was totally normal.

So they had Camilo shapeshift into one of the townspeople and follow you around until he saw you get taken outside of Encanto, and watched as the townspeople beat you senselessly. His blood boiled as he watched the sight and immediately punched the one hitting you at the time, square in the jaw. That person ended up with a broken jaw as the others ran from the scene. Much to his surprise, you just ended up smiling at him and excitedly told him about how you were helping the townspeople with their anger.

That just made him even more upset as he picked you up and carried you back to Casita to explain the truth.

As you excitedly explained what you were doing to help everyone, the Madrigals just felt pure anger. You were smiling as you talked about how people beat you like a dog, and that didn’t sit right with them.

You had to stop Pepa from making a huge storm.

So from that point on the Madrigals just stopped helping most of the town as they kept you locked up inside of Casita much to your confusion. Shouldn't they be happy you were helping out? You didn't understand. So they tried to explain it to you which still left you confused. You could take it, as long as they felt happy at the end of it, you were fine.

So after all of that you lost outside privileges, as most of the town was left to suffer for their actions towards you.

"Luz, Bruno, how nice to see you both," Pepa greeted warmly.

"You've gotten brighter since I last saw you," (F/N)'s uncle hugged her tightly.

"Oh, hush you," Pepa rolled her eyes as she went to hug Luz.

"Glad to see you again Felix," Luz then greeted the man who also hugged her.

"Agustin, you haven't gotten yourself more hurt than usual, I hope," Bruno greeted a smiling Agustin like the old friends they were.

"Much less than you,"

"Alma, thank you for inviting us, it's been so long since we last saw each other," Luz gently hugged Alma.

"Bruno, my favorite tocayo, how have you been," (F/N)'s uncle hugged Bruno tightly which was reciprocated with the same energy.

"And who are the little ones you brought today?" Felix asked as Alicia stood beside (F/N) awkwardly while (F/N) still stared at the two Madrigals who also kept looking everywhere but towards them.

"These are Alicia and (F/N), our siblings' children," Luz introduced and Alicia had to nudge (F/N) in order for them to pay attention to the adults and smile.

"Not so little anymore tough," Luz added.

"Pleased to meet you," Alicia extended her hand not really knowing what to do.

"Alicia, (F/N), you two were so little when I last saw you," Pepa ignored the hand and gave her a cheek kiss, and then went to do the same with (F/N).

"You barely reached my waist back then, you've grown so much," She said to (F/N) who only said a small thanks.

After some hugs that were mostly from the adults and some awkward hand waves between the younger Madrigals and Cardenals except for Antonio who greeted them happily, they all sat together to eat, but (F/N) slightly touched their food and answered any question as they kept scrutinizing the two Madrigals.

"I still remember the last time little (F/N) was here, on a party, they followed Luisa everywhere, it was so cute," Julieta said, and (F/N) would have blushed embarrassed if they had actually been paying attention, but the adults were all enjoying each other's company enough as to not notice.

"Luisa seemed so happy," Agustin added.

"Just like a proud mama bear." Julieta took a sip of her drink.

"Not to forget Mira and Milo following (F/N) in the same way." Luz smiled at the memory.

Mirabel and Camilo sat in front of each other as they kept their eyes locked on the food they had barely touched as they felt the stares that (F/N) sent them, they couldn't guess if they had recognized them or not.

*It has to be them....but what if I'm just confusing them, I just got a glimpse of their clothes from quite the distance,* (F/N) thought as they kept staring.

They both shared a look before they tried to sneak a peek at the kid but when they made eye contact they immediately went back to staring holes into their plates.

"Mirabel!" Abuela's voice made her lookup.

"Yes, Abuela?"

"I was asking, what did you do today?"

"Ah...um.. nothing," Mirabel answered as her eyes darted around the room.

"Just the usual," Camilo added but then regretted it as all eyes were on him now.

Both cousins began to stammer as they tried to come up with an answer that wouldn't tie them to the crime but Abuela was making it pretty clear that she would not let that happen.

"I believe you two have something to explain?" Abuela said.

"Camilo?"

"Maribel?"

Both of their mothers asked questioningly.

"I-we-um," Mirabel tried to say something.

"We?"

"Mirabel and Camilo went to pay a secret visit to the Cardenals," Abuela said after she sighed.

"Camilo!"

"Maribel!"

*I KNEW IT!* (F/N) though in victory and let out a proud smile, that fortunately, no one noticed and began to eat feeling quite satisfied with themself not paying any attention to the situation.

"We were just curious!" Camilo defended.

"So you went to spy on them?!" Pepa admonished.

"Luz, I am so sorry for my daughter's behavior," Julieta said as she glared at Mirabel.

"Don't worry about it Julieta, I'm sure they didn't mean any ill,"

"We must find a way to apologize," Pepa said as a small cloud began to form with small sounds of thunder coming from it.

"We would never-" Luz went to assure that they had no need to apologize but her brother seemed to have something in mind.

"Let them help us,"

"Bruno?" Luz asked surprised at her brother.

"If they are so curious then let them help us get the house back on track," Bruno explained.

"My back isn't the same so I would appreciate the help, and it would be a good way to keep everyone happy,"

"But-" Camilo seemed to want to protest but a glare from his mother had him closing his mouth.

"I think that is a great idea," Alma said.

"They will help you around the house until you settle back into Encanto,"

Bruno smiled as he ignored the small jab that Luz gave him.

"Tío Bruno?" Alicia called for his attention but both Bruno's turned to her and answered with a simple "Yes?"

"Um, my tío Bruno," Alicia clarified as she blushed slightly.

"There really is no need for anything, I'm sure (F/N) and I can help, besides we aren't angry at them," She whispered and looked at (F/N) for support but (F/N) wasn't really paying any attention as they ate happily the delicious food, quite pleased that they had recognized the two who had been spying on them with only having seen a piece of their clothes, that is until they sensed the gazes of everyone on them.

"Right (F/N)?" Alicia looked at them with intent as (F/N) tried to guess what had been said.

"I-um, I agree with..Tío?" (F/N) asked more than anything as they guessed that their Tío Bruno and Alicia were on the same side of the argument as usual.

"Oh, dear," (F/N) said as Alicia facepalmed and their tío smiled in victory.

"Then it is decided, Camilo and Mirabel will help in the Cardenal's house after they finish their daily chores," Alma concluded.

"We still have to do our chores?" Camilo asked.

"It is called a punishment for a reason," Alma answered as she began to eat again, alongside the rest of the family except for Camilo and Mirabel who sat there grumbling, and Alicia who kept glaring at an apologetic (F/N) who was trying to make themself smaller under their cousin's glare and the stares of the two other Madrigal kids.

Timeskip

"Why did you tell Alma to punish Camilo and Mirabel?" Luz asked lowly as she moved around the kitchen in their home.

"Well, they were spying on their neighbors, we shouldn't let that go-"

"The real, reason Bruno," Luz clarified.

"The kids need to interact with other kids, maybe not their exact ages but it's a start," Bruno explained as he helped put the dishes in place.

"And forcing them to interact is the best option?"

"After how they reacted I think it is a good way to start, besides, it's not like it didn't work on you," Bruno teased.

"They were bound to hospital beds for months and only had each other and some older patients as a company, what does that have to do with children not getting along?" Luz began to clean the counter.

"Dad was very fond of the idea of you two together, and I think you were cute,"

"That was decades ago and you just wanted me to marry someone with your same name," Luz shook her head.

"It almost worked," Bruno added as he finished arranging the dishes that he had cleaned from the dust they had accumulated after he left.

"And it came to nothing, so just let it go," Luz said with melancholy in her voice.

"I know you are still hurting from him disappearing, but you should at least talk to him, to put this behind you,"

"I don't want you to be swallowed by this," Bruno laid his hand on Luz's shoulder gently.

"I know,"

"Besides, how are the kids and I going to be able to have relationship drama, when the only responsible adult in this house is brooding all the time," Bruno said with a shit-eating grin that had Luz rolling her eyes.

"Oh, you annoying little," Luz pushed him away.

"I'm going to bed," Luz said as she went to her bedroom, leaving Bruno to finish cleaning the kitchen.

Meanwhile

"Alicia, please, I'm sorry," (F/N) whined at the locked door but no answer came from it.

"Just talk to me," (F/N) let all their weight onto the door that suddenly opened, which made (F/N) fall onto the floor.

"Shut up, I'm trying to sleep,"

"It was an accident, I didn't know I had to side with you specifically," (F/N) tried to defend.

"How didn't you know that?"

"You always side with Tío Bruno, so I thought-"

"You are impossible!" Alicia whisper shouted as she went back to her bed, leaving (F/N) on the floor.

"Please forgive me,"

"No,"

"Please,"

"No,"

"Pretty pleeeeaaaase,"

"Let me sleep or I swear to god,"

"..." (F/N) remained silent this time but stayed on the floor, and even if Alicia wished to fake ignorance she couldn't fight the urge to get her cousin out of the floor.

"You're going to catch a cold," Alicia grumbled.

"But I haven't gotten your forgiveness yet,"

"Go to bed (F/N),"

"No, I won't be able to sleep with you mad at me," (F/N) crossed their arms as they fell into silence for a few more minutes until Alicia groaned and got out of her bed.

"C'mon, of to bed you go," Alicia said as she helped (F/N) to their feet and almost threw them to bed.

"Please forgive me," (F/N) moved to get out of bed again when Alicia went back to hers, leaving the door that connected both rooms open.

"If you get out of bed again I won't even think about it," Alicia warned and (F/N) remained in bed.

"I may forgive you if you deal with the Madrigal kids,"

"What?!"

"I don't want to go through that awkwardness, so if you deal with it, then you're forgiven,"

"Isn't there anything else?" (F/N) asked, dreading the awkwardness.

"Nope," Alicia's smugness could even be heard by a deaf person.

"Fiiiiine," (F/N) accepted after a few seconds of silence.

Meanwhile

The darkness circled around the house of the opportunity it had seen to get inside the house, saw its opportunity lay in bed comfortably, this would need a bit of work and tinkering, but it would be the perfect way to get into that house.

While it prepared for the perfect moment, it would make sure that there would be a safeguard, just in case, but that safeguard would be harder to secure, but there was potential, it would just take a few nudges here and there, and it would finally accomplish its purpose.

The next day

(F/N) laid in bed, comfortably, as they finished their book after cleaning their stump and putting their prosthesis back on and changing.

"(F/N), are you finished?" (F/N)'s aunt called from downstairs.

"Yeah?"

"Then come down already, we've got lots of things to do," (F/N) sighed as they closed their book and got up, taking their cane and going down the stairs to find their aunt at the door with the two Madrigal kid's waiting already.

*I thought they would come after they finished their own chores, it is way too early for that,* (F/N) thought in disdain as they walked to the door to greet them.

"Your cousin is already out with your uncle dealing with the lambs, so you will help me with getting what we need from the market," Luz said, referring to the three kids.

"Is there anything else I need to fetch for you?" (F/N) asked.

"No, I already got the bags ready, we were just waiting for you," At this (F/N) blushed and looked at the floor as they simply nodded, blushing even harder at their aunt's chuckle who began to lead the way.

(F/N) walked as fast as they could to keep up with the pace that their aunt had set, not wanting to slow anyone down since the streets of the town were a lot less smooth than back in the city and to their luck, they arrived at the market faster than (F/N) had expected.

"It's quite close to the house," (F/N) mentioned as they walked into the congregation of stalls with the vendors trying to call their attention showing their products, and so on.

(F/N) did all they could to be on the far back to try and avoid any actual interaction with the two Madrigal kids who they had gotten into this kind of a mess.

*Well...they did spy on us...but even so, this is too awkward,* (F/N) thought as they arrived at the first stall that contained fruits and veggies.

"Luz, I was wondering when you would show up," An older-looking man was managing the stall alongside a few other boys who were helping other clients.

"Emmanuel, it's been quite a while," Luz greeted.

"I see you brought your little helpers," He waved at the kids.

"Helping the Cardenals to get back on track Camilo, Mirabel?" Emmanuel asked.

"Oh no, they are here to make up for something," Luz said as she lowered her voice.

"And what did this pelaos do?" Emmanuel closed the distance as he lowered his voice as if they were being secretive, thought the three kids could still listen perfectly to their conversation, and were looking away in embarrassment but (F/N) noticed that the two Madrigals seemed to be dreading what Luz would say.

"As if I would tell you, the rest of the town would know in less than an hour," Luz pulled away with Cheshire's grin on her face and the collective sigh that the tree kids let out in relief.

"Always the tease Luz, have some mercy on this old man," Emmanuel faked to be hurt in his chest.

"I already made that mistake in my youth, never happening again,"

"This old man, not able to have any juicy news anymore," The old man lamented.

"Anyways, what can I get you?" After this question it seemed that more and more things found their way into the bags they all carried the market almost going in a blur until they finally reached the last stall they would need something from, Luz ordered quickly after greeting the owners of the stall.

*Everyone really knows each other here,* (F/N) thought as they began to add the things onto the bags that were then taken by the Madrigal girl.

*I really need to remember their names,* (F/N) admonished themselves as they finished filling the other Madrigal's kid bag, but this time instead of the boy a grown man took a hold of it as (F/N) handed it over.

"Ah, sorry, I confused you, I was..." (F/N) apologized as they took the bag back and look around for the boy who was nowhere in sight.

*Did he sneak out?* (F/N) thought before the man smiled at their amused.

"It's me, Camilo," He said before he morphed in the blink of an eye into the Madrigal b-Camilo.

(F/N) inhaled sharply in surprise as they took a step back and bumped into their aunt.

"Tía?" (F/N) asked for assistance as they kept their eyes glued unto the chuckling boy and the Madrigal girl who was only rolling her eyes as if it was something normal.

"Yes, (F/N)?" Luz finally turned and (F/N) simply pointed at Camilo.

"What is the matter?"

"He-he just changed?!" (F/N) said in a mix of confusion and alarm.

"And?" Their aunt asked puzzled but then it seemed like a bulb went off in her head.

"Don't tell me I forgot to tell you and Alicia!" They all remained in silence as (F/N) processed their aunt's statement.

"You clearly did!" At this, the two Madrigals and Luz began to laugh softly.

"My mistake," Luz smiled apologetically at (F/N)'s suffering tone.

Time skip

"I think it took the kids by surprise the Madrigal's abilities," Luz said as she drank her coffee on the table alongside her brother.

"I had no idea they didn't know, I thought you had told them," Bruno shook his head.

"I completely forgot,"

"But you should have seen (F/N)'s face when Camilo used his gift, it was priceless," Luz chuckled.

"Same with Alicia, she was completely frozen in shock when Luisa helped get the donkeys back in place and was carrying them all around," Bruno said.

"How long until they realize?" Luz asked as she sent a glance to the stair that lead upstairs where (F/N) and Alicia had retreated to, almost immediately.

"Give it a minute," Bruno said.

Meanwhile

"So you saw Luisa carry more than five donkeys as if they weighted little less than feathers?" (F/N) asked from their bed.

"And you saw Camilo shapeshift?" Alicia answered with another question and they both remained in silence for a second.

"Yup," They answered in unison and went back to silence, this time longer, long enough for one to think that they would go to sleep while pondering these discoveries, until (F/N) shot back on their bed.

"DOES THE REST OF THE MADRIGALS HAVE POWERS TOO???????!!!!?" They screamed in shock and Alicia could only widen her eyes as their aunt and uncle just smiled amused downstairs.

[Platonic] Yandere Madrigals with Mimic Reader

You were Bruno’s only child, never really knowing your mother while your gift was to mimic the other gifts of your familys. But the gifts you mimicked were only half of the true power to the originals. 

It was really no secret that you were everyone’s favorite in the family, even if it went unsaid. It was really obvious to tell with anyone with a brain, plus since you were the third oldest of the Madrigal Grandkids, you understood that they had some type of weird obsession with you that wasn’t really normal.

You didn’t really mind that much at first, it wasn’t really like that hurt you. Sure they locked you in your room or Casita from time to time but that wasn’t anything that bothered you. You didn’t have any friends outside of your family members so it didn’t affect you.

Or that was until you met [S/O], the light of your life who you had accidentally bumped into like your father’s telenovelas. 

It was like love at first sight, you even accidentally grew a few flowers in your hair because you were mimicking Isabela’s gift at the time. You were really embarrassed at that but they just laughed it off, and you two started to hang out more until they had asked you to date them. You, of course, said yes.

You really wanted it to be a secret but Dolores’ stupid gift heard the damn confession, and had already told your whole family by the time you got home, which led to a family meeting. 

They already wanted you to break up with [S/O], saying they would only break your heart in the end and that set you off.

You normally put up with their weird tactics for longer than you should have because you wanted to be nice to them, they were your family. But how come whenever you were happy with someone else, you were suddenly the bad guy?

So a fight soon started, until your father, Bruno, who has never raised his voice at you before and shouted at you to be quiet and to break up with [S/O] before something ends up happening to them.

At the end of it all, you ended up locked inside Bruno's room while Camilo broke up with [S/O] for you as a new burning hatred ran through you for your family.

"[Y/n]!" Your Father's voice rang through your ears, causing you to look away from Abuela and to Bruno instantly. He sent you an unnatural glare, causing you to freeze in your place. "I don't care how you feel about it, you will break up with that person whether you like it or not. Do you understand?" 

You clenched your fists as you sent him a glare of your own, causing him to falter. "No. It isn't fair!" You shouted, a storm cloud appeared over your head, starting to soak your clothes. "I put up with this family's bullshit for so long but whenever I'm truly happy, I'm suddenly the bad guy?! That isn't fair!" 

"Our bullshit? We try our best to make sure you're happy here, and now you're acting like an ungrateful brat!" 

The next few minutes turned into a blur as you and Bruno shouted at each other, Camilo sneaking out of your vision to go find your lover as you two fought. Then you felt a quick sharp pain on your cheek as your head turned to the other side. You stared at the floor in shock before slowly looking back at Bruno. He even looked shocked by his own action as his eyes widened. "I-I'm sorry, I-"

"I hate you and this stupid family." You spat out, glaring at each family besides Antonio who was on the verge of tears, causing your heart to break slightly. Everyone in the room was silent as they looked at you in shock before glancing at each other. It wasn’t until a few seconds later you noticed Camilo was missing, your breath hitched as you cursed underneath your breath. 

But before you could even take a step, one of Isabela’s vines snaked its way around your waist. You sent her another glare as you wiggled around the vine, but she didn’t react. She looked empty, they all did. “This is for your own good.” She mumbled before you smelt an unfamiliar scent, causing little tiny black dots to fill your vision. You went limp a few minutes later, and would later be woken up in Bruno’s vision cave.

Trapped there until you had learned that your family was all you needed.

Because of you being Blind, they end up babying you even though you have proven that you’re very capable of taking care of yourself.

You, Mirabel, and Camilo make blind jokes together, but if anyone else did, Mirabel and Camilo will find them.

The Madrigals really won’t let you do anything by yourself, Luisa is 10 times worse.

She’s doing everything for you even though you’ve told her mupilte times that you’re fine. She doesn’t care nor will she listen. She just needs to be of use to you, and can’t risk you hurting yourself.

You are most likely the closest to Isabela because your gift, earth and flowers just go together and it wasn't like she minded.

Once you told Mirabel how you sense things through the ground and stuff because of your gift, she ends up wanting to know all about it. 

She just finds it really interesting, and Dolores would be listening in too because she can.

Along with Luisa, Pepa, Julieta, and Abuela also baby you the most out of everyone else in the family. They do not trust you to be able to do anything by yourself much to your annoyance.

Félix and Agustín are a lot more laid-back with you, and you probably enjoy doing things with them the most because they actually let you do stuff.

Antonio just likes to describe how all of his animals look to you, and asking what the world looks like to you.

You ask for a Vision and Bruno can lie all he wants because you'll never get to see it.

The family is sometimes taken back because they forget you do talk back sometimes. You just feel the need to say whats on your mind and how you don't like to be treated as some stupid toddler.

They don't listen but it does surprise them from time to time.

Despite not acting like Isabela, everyone still considered you another 'Perfect Golden Child' much to your complaint.

But you've learned to deal with it.

And even though your family hates it, you enjoyed flirting with each and every single one of the villagers. It was like a fun little game to you, as they just melted into your touch.

It was even funnier to watch them try and flirt back.

Julieta had scolded you a few times about it, saying you really shouldn't play with people's hearts. But you always shrugged her off. 

Of course you didn’t know the real reason why she didn’t like you flirting with them, you didn’t know the real reason why it bothered anyone in your family. You were somehow completely native to their actions, having to think it was normal growing up.

Isabela was the most jealous out of everyone. You were her twin, so that meant she was your first friend, which meant that you should be spending more time with her instead of wanting to flirt with some stupid sucker! She didn’t care to hide her dislike for your game, and often dragged you away from whoever you were busy trying to seduce, just so she could force you to hang out with her. 

The second most would be Camilo. He wanted some of his older prima’s attention too, he deserved it. He was your family, so that meant he should have had all your attention instead of people you barely knew for a few minutes just to break their hearts the next day. Camilo just wants to pull pranks with you.

Dolores would be forced to hear all your flirts with everyone, and it annoyed her to no end. Since she was only just a few months younger than you, you two grew up to be quite close. She was the person who you would go to when you had a problem, and some sad person wouldn’t leave you alone after you said no. That person’s secrets would be revealed the next day to everyone, and you would spend some extra time with Dolores after that.

Luisa doesn’t get why you do it, and ends up feeling like she doesn’t give you enough love and affection at home and that’s why you do all this. So, she’s gonna be holding you tightly, telling you how much she cares about you, and forces you to spend time with her in her room.

Mirabel gets annoyed watching you flirt with everyone you see, and then just guilt trips you into spending time with her instead. She doesn’t have a gift, and that’s why you don’t wanna be seen with her right? It makes your big sister instincts kick in, and you’re immediately leaving behind the person you were just flirting with, and hugging her, telling her about how much you will forever love her no matter what.

You keep Antontio far away, whenever you’re busy seducing someone. Not wanting to dirty his mind when he was 5 years old. But that’s his plan. Whenever he hears from one of his animals that you’re trying to get with someone, he always making sure he’s right there so that you stop. It gets him extra time with you.

Your parents, Julieta and Agustín always gave you a look of disappointment whenever they catch you flirting with someone new each day. They didn’t mind you possibly dating someone, but you were just playing with people’s hearts. So it made them wonder if you were getting enough attention, like Luisa thought. So when you’re around them, they’re making sure you know they fucking love you.

Pepa, and Félix were kinda the same. They saw the flirting as a cry for attention, and they were trying their best to help that cry. Pepa would always pull you away so you two can read together, while Félix tries to teach you some more dances. 

Bruno has tried to talk you out of it, even showing you a few visions on why you should stop. But you never really listened to him, and he just finally gave up. But you made it up to him by watching a few of his rat telenovelas with him.

Alma tried her best to ignore your behavior for awhile, until she saw you bring someone home, and while you two never did it, she thought it could lead to that point and wanted to put it to a stop. She cared for you deeply, and was perfectly fine with you finding true love, but this wasn’t how it was done. And once she learned you weren’t going to stop, she ordered everyone that wasn’t apart of the Madrigals to stay away from you, and everyone listens to Alma.

But you still somehow managed to flirt with a few unlucky souls. So the family had to take matters into their own hands. Alma had started to order Casita to keep you locked either in your room or just to keep you from leaving. Which had caused an argument to spark between you two, and since it was just you against 12. You didn't stand a chance of winning.

You probably thought you could use your gift to escape right? Nope. For some reason it just stopped working, and you were suddenly giftless besides when Alma needed you to do something if Isabela was busy.

Prologue:

A fic for @hotdiggitydammit, Unedited, 1385 words

Tw: Death

Pepa remembered watching Félix slowly pass away in their bed, as Julieta gently patted her back. She was saying something to her, but Pepa couldn't hear a single thing. Her eyes wouldn't leave her husband as his hand grew cold in her, no longer holding on. Her own tears mixed with the rain. 

Julieta silently hugged her sibling, as the wind started to pick up inside the room. Félix had sadly passed away of old age, and while it did affect the rest of the family, Pepa felt like a huge part of her was just ripped away. She suddenly just felt cold, all her warmth leaving with him as she wished to hear his voice one more time, at least just once more.

Encanto hasn’t seen a hint of sun since then, and yes, they knew she needed time to grief. But their crops couldn’t grow without sunlight, and only one was actually brave enough to bring it up to Alma.  

“We understand your loss. But our crops can’t grow without some sun, is there anyway you can..” The farmer couldn’t meet eyes with Alma, as her eyes narrowed. He shrugged, most expecting her to catch his drift. 

Alma raised a brow at him, “Is that it?” Her voice was cold and hard as she spoke to him, catching him by surprise a bit. 

“Well, Yeah- I-”

Alma turned away from him, heading back inside Casita ,where the storm was much worse inside. “Then goodbye.” She said, leaving the farmer to just stand there before he let out a small groan and walked off. 

Pepa’s cries could be heard throughout the whole house, making Alma’s heart break in two. She could sympathize with her daughter, having also lost the love of her life but they handled it in two different ways. While Alma cared deeply for Pepa, she didn’t know how to comfort her in any way as she immediately built up walls instead of letting it all out. So she just left her alone, letting her two other kids, and grandkids to try and help her through this time.

Nothing made Pepa feel whole though, not even her three loving kids. It just made Pepa want to break down even more once she saw them, so they were left with just their Tía and Tío to take care of them in the meantime. So, even though they all hated it, they had slowly let Pepa be. Maybe she just needed a bit of alone time to collect and process her feelings. They didn't see Pepa for a while after that, her room door burning anyone who dared to touch it. 

She couldn’t force herself to go to his funeral as the storm only got worse. Félix wasn’t there to comfort her all of those times before.

Everyone was worried about her, but nothing they did worked. This caused chores, and keeping up with Casita being forgotten by mostly everyone besides Alma, and she was just one old woman. 

So that’s where you came in. Alma knew your Abuela, and heard news of you looking for a job of some kind. So, Alma reached out to you about helping around Casita as some type of Maid. She even offered your own room for you. You agreed, needing the money and it was a free room. 

You never truly saw Pepa, but understood and kept your distance for awhile. That was until it was just you two in the house, everyone else out doing their own chores again. You were just dusting around Casita, until you heard Pepa’s cries once again.

Your heart hurt listening to them, and tried to ignore it like normal but something felt different this time. You suddenly couldn’t ignore them anymore, and while you did hesitate, you headed over to Pepa’s room. The door glowed a bit as you stared at it, biting the inside of your cheek as you decided if you should leave her be or not. 

Taking in a deep breath, you placed your hand on the doorknob. You yelped and immediately pulled away after feeling a sharp pain. You murmured out a few curses as you saw the burn, but you quickly reminded yourself why you were there. You took in a deep breath before swinging the door open, ignoring how the pain increased. 

You suddenly bursting in startled Pepa, causing a lightning bolt to hit you. You forced your mouth shut, pushing down any pain you felt at these quick moments before walking[stumbling] over to her. Her eyes widened as she stared at you, expecting you to be angry or at least fearful of her because you were just hit with lightning. But you just nervously smiled at her as you quietly asked, "Hey are you okay?" But before she could even respond, you awkwardly laughed. "Uh, ¡Lo siento! That's probably a stupid question-- It's clear you aren't okay. I don't know why I asked..!" 

Pepa wiped away her tears, as you continued on, "But, uh, what I meant was-- Do you maybe wanna talk about it? Or, no. I am a stranger to you, and I wouldn't exactly wanna talk about my problems to a stranger either-- After all, they could use it against you and all." You rubbed the back of your neck, "N-NOT That I would use this against you, of course! I was just saying…"

What made you stop talking was the small laugh you got from the girl. Your face suddenly felt hot, as you got embarrassed. You aren't exactly good at comforting crying people, and despite the situation, pretty women made you nervous. "Lo siento…" You mumbled, before standing up again. "I'll leave you alone now.."

But much to your surprise, she gently grabbed your arm. "No, you're fine." Pepa smiled at you, as you sat back down. It's been awhile since Pepa has actually talked to someone, the last time she did was Camilo trying to calm her down and failing. "I'm sorry for the cloud." Pepa tried to shoo it away, muttering clear skies like she has been doing for the past few weeks. 

You shook your head, awkwardly patting her back, wincing as you used your inquired hand. "You don't have to feel sorry about it. It's connected to your emotions after all." You said, "It's like saying you're sorry for feeling sad..! You should never be sorry about that."

It’s been awhile since someone had said that to her. Félix was the last person to tell her that, and while everyone was now starting to deal with it, no one really said it. So to hear someone besides Félix tell her that, it made her feel weird. “Even so- You still got struck by lightning because of me.”

“Only because I scared you.” You grimaced a bit, “Probably should have knocked first.”

Now that Pepa thought about it, you shouldn’t have been able to really enter without…Pepa’s eyes narrowed as she looked at your hands. She let out a small gasp as she noticed the 3rd degree burn on your hand.

Pepa gently grabbed your inquired hand in hers, as she carefully scanned it. “I’m so sorry. I forget how much it burns when Casita does that.” She apologized, wincing at how painful it looked but much to her surprise, it seemed like you didn’t care that much. 

You just smiled at her, “It’s fine. It actually doesn’t hurt that much!” That was a lie, it hurt like the sun but that would make her feel worse. “Plus- I really should have knocked-- So it’s my fault.”

It seems she didn’t buy the lie, as she pulled you up and left her room for the first time in weeks. It surprised Julieta to see Pepa forcing you to eat one of her apera’s, noticing the 3rd degree burn covering your hand disappear within a few seconds later. 

A gentle smile graced Julieta’s lips as she watched Pepa finally smile a bit more again talking to you. The cloudy skies seemed to clear, at least a bit, as some sunlight filtered through. The villagers quickly noticed, and clapped. 

But Pepa ignored it all, just enjoying talking to you. 

You really should have ignored her cries, and maybe you wouldn’t have been placed into this situation.
