I hope this letter finds you well. At the moment I am writing this, it has been exactly three days, 17 hours and 56 minutes since you “escaped” from me. Yes, darling, I’ve even counted until the very last minute. Your absence has been absolute torture, my sweet one.

Tell me, my beloved, did you honestly believe you could escape that easily from me? Did you sincerely think you could hide from the Avatar of Wrath? How silly of you to believe you could run from a demon you have a pact with; how silly indeed.

I know you've run off to the human world, my beloved. I know exactly where you are, and I can't say I’m amused. I’m furious with your decision to run away from me, your soul mate, to foolishly frolic around with your...” real boyfriend.”

The mere thought of a lowly, worthless, filthy HUMAN laying his hands on you, filling your pretty little head with ridiculous ideas, makes me want to rip out his heart. How dare such a disgusting, vile creature taint you with his impurities.

I am not a patient demon, my darling. My patience has been stretched thin over the last three excruciatingly painful days. You have one day to return to your rightful home, here in my arms. Dear [Name],

I want to take this first encounter to assuage your fears—you are in no danger.

The fear you must be feeling might be the most dreadful you’ve ever experienced, and I’ll forever regret it. While the monotonous bureaucracy of the Purge is taxing on everyone, it’s a necessary evil… Inside this letter, you’ll receive what brief explanation I can give you and, hopefully, comfort you in some capacity.

[Name], I’m your father, and this letter is my official and legal introduction. In the next 24 hours, I and your siblings will bring you home.

You don’t know this yet, but we met on a moonless evening many months ago. You were walking alone, trying to leave the emptying streets before Gotham’s evening crowd took hold of the city. I worried for you and decided to keep a close eye until you were home safely, but something about your demeanor kept my attention. How polite and unassuming, yet quick to navigate the streets you were. You drifted through the evening like a wayward spirit, eventually finding yourself in my heart and soul.

That chance encounter sent us spiraling down a destined path, one in which I never anticipated would lead to here. I never realized the grim darkness I had been living in until I experienced your light, and now, the day before our first meeting as father and child, the promise of eternal contentedness just beyond these 24 hours is almost too much to bear.

Your brothers and sisters are equally ecstatic. You’ll never be bored for a moment in your life moving forward, as the halls of our home are always thrum with the echoes of banter and excitement. I can’t promise it will be an easy life free from any sorrows, but your new family already loves you so, so dearly.

In time, I’m confident that you, too, will reflect on this event as the start of a better life.

However perfect your joining our family seems, I find myself asking how it came to this. How did I discover a soul as kind and lovely as yours? Despite all my failures and shortcomings, the world still crossed our paths and sent the merger of our lives into motion.

As a servant of justice, I’ve dedicated my life to protecting what is moral and just. I’ve spent decades refining my values and priorities, yet this has often left me at fragile crossroads between myself and my children.

I’m flawed. I’m imperfect. I don’t think I’ll ever be worthy of being your father. I need you to know these things before we meet, to save yourself from the inevitable misfortune that will strike us. Yet know this: there is not a force in this world that will keep me from you. I love you more than I love humanity, more than the Earth itself. I would defy the laws that govern the universe if it meant seeing you happy.

The world is dangerous and unpredictable. However inadequate I feel at protecting your light, I know you’re significantly more likely to fade from existence outside of my care.

To receive a crimson letter from the city a day before the Purge might be one of your darkest nightmares, and for that I’m sorry. With my heart, soul, and all my love for you, I promise to rectify the misery you and your biological family are experiencing. Please take comfort in the fact that you will be the most beloved and cherished person in the world.

I will give you everything. For your family’s sake, I hope they can rest easier with this knowledge.

To whom it may concern,

On behalf of our wonderful CEO, founder, and employer, we are pleased to announce that you have been chosen! For what, you may be asking? Our benevolent, hard working, completely loving boss has asked us to reach out to you in hopes of making you their newest spouse!

You may have concerns about early relationship statuses and learning who our wonderful boss even is, but we assure you, this choice is fast, easy, simple, and will please him greatly! You will be granted an option to either dress formally or casually for your initial meeting, where we will discuss exactly what it is our boss has decided to do with you.

He wants some of the details to be saved for the meeting, which the time and date will be stated by the end of this letter. However, he has graced us with the privilege to tell you a few points of interest, to excite you even more for this lovely “agreement”

-While you will be terminated from your previous profession and status, he will provide all financial needs for you into the foreseeable future

-No other employees will be able to bother you or harass you anymore, and given permission, we happy workers will be thrilled to take care of unfavorable employees

-Romantic gestures full of what (from what our employer believes) you find desirable (whether or not you accept is optional) including meals, kissing, pet names, gift giving, and marking of your skin (be that with teeth, kisses, or etc.)

While we’d love to state you are joining this relationship “at will” let it be known, if you try to leave this partnership at any time, you will be subjected to any, and all precautions necessary to keep you and our boss happy. That may include, but is not limited to-

-Taking away electronic privileges

-Lying to your loved ones about your location and condition

-Binding and restraining you by the hands, neck, feet, or more

-Using pharmaceuticals to subdue you

-Taking away your right to speak with a gag, or even shutting out all methods of communication (aside from with our wonderful employer!) off

NOTE: These methods vary, some are more intense while others are just a simple reprimand! There is no limit to what we will do for him and this wonderful company.

We encourage you to think over this opportunity and prepare for a wonderful new life! We expect you to show up on Wednesday, 11:15 AM in whichever attire you decided to choose listed above.

(Based off of something I mentioned in this ask.)

Dear (Name),

We have not interacted with each other very much but we have crossed paths a few times. More times then not the few interactions we did have were mainly negative and I apologize for that but I have a certain image and family reputation I must uphold, especially in front of others. But I have been watching you, watching how you interact with others and what kind of person you seem to be. It has made me want to introduce myself properly to you and genuinely get to know you, to experience what so many others have seemed to grow so attached to you for, but I have not yet found the right time to do so or how to go about it. Therefore, given the things I have seen for myself and the fact that you overall seem like a sincere person just trying to survive with what has been dealt to them I couldn’t just stand by and watch you being played and lied to by the people you believe to be your friends.

I had not really had any intention to reach out to you this way or write to you at all. But I thought you should know something very important and I know you wouldn’t have believed me if I came to you in person. This letter will not be inherently positive given the circumstances it is concerning and I sincerely apologize for what you are about to become aware of but you should not be in the dark about it. Especially, when it concerns so many people you have grown so close to and fond of.

Attached to this letter is a petition that had been started before you first took a position at Hogwarts. Word had gotten around about an obscurus being brought into Hogwarts and out of fear, worry and repulsion someone had taken it upon themself to take action. The petition was demanding you not to be allowed at the school as well as near the staff and students in attendance who reside at the castle. The petition had been stopped early on before it really took off but it had still gained plenty of signatures. Signatures you may come to recognize for yourself.

One very glaring signature was from the very mother of the Weasley children who you have grown so attached to and vice versa. Notice how she was one of the top signatures on the list of names, meaning she was one of the first to rush and sign against you. And yet she has welcomed you into her home, has made you a part of her family and has the audacity to act Saint like. As if she had not tried to ruin your chances at making a living for yourself or getting to experience and feel some kind of ounce of acceptance and belonging.

How will you be able to continue to have a woman who had gone against you so hastily like that as someone worthy of being a part of your life?

Would she have ever told you that she took part in taking action against you?

Will you be able to see any of the teachers the same given that a number of their names had been signed as well?

How will you bring yourself to look at, let alone be around, the children of those who never wanted you around in the first place?

I know if it were me, I would cut those people out of my life entirely. As you should. They are not worth your time or friendship, let alone to be brought into your life as family. I do hope you heed my advice, you truly do not need people like that in your company.

After reading all of this and being blindsided by this information I am sure that you must feel unbelievably hurt and betrayed right now but you needed to know. Although, I am sorry I had to be the one to relay it to you but someone had to.

You received a love letter, it had been slipped through the door of your bedroom and caught your eye just as you were preparing to go to bed. You make your way to the door and open it, taking the letter on your way; you look around the empty hallway in hopes of perhaps catching the sender but there’s not a soul in sight.

You close the door, slight uneasiness blooming in your chest as you make sure to lock it - you even think of barricading it but chose otherwise, you doubt it’d stop him if he was determined to find you. With a heavy sigh, you sit on the bed, you look over the simple envelope and hesitate. It was white with his name scribbled on it, you hated to admit it but you always did envy his handwriting, it was deceivingly innocent looking but you knew better; nothing could be innocent if he was involved.

Whatever, you think to yourself, you might as well read what he’s written.

To the sole owner of my heart and soul,

How are you? I know that, by the time this letter reaches you, we probably have only been away for a couple of minutes or at most an hour but I feel inclined to know anyway.

It’s funny, I tend to write quite often - mostly to my family - but I realized I never wrote to you. Mainly because I have never quite let you leave my side but it still felt wrong to not have ever sent you something, my dear.

What obnoxious drudgery this whole Purge ordeal is! At first, I adamantly protested this process because of its unnecessarily long path in lieu of a simple solution.

Problem: You’re not home.

Solution: We bring you home.

Child’s play, yes? We could have met MONTHS ago, but Father and [REDACTED] wanted to do this the traditional way.

I will say, however, that this administrative route is not without its merits. I suppose it acts as a “closing of a chapter” for you to transition into your new life. At least, that’s what [REDACTED] said. Like pruning flowers, you must cut away the old to make way for the new.

However, I am confident that this arduous process will ultimately be unnecessary. Our family is superior in every conceivable way. I can’t go into specifics, but you will see the contrast immediately. You’ve been wasting away in that lackluster residence with your dull relatives, utterly unaware of your true destiny as part of OUR family.

All that said, I wish to extend to you all the patience needed for you to feel comfortable. If you want to spend these last 24 hours with your progenitors, then so be it. I don’t consider them a threat in the slightest because I know you’ll eventually see how lacking they were. After living with us, you’ll perceive them as the shoddy imitation of a family—one you were never destined for to begin with!!

I can’t wait to meet you. Life will be so much better once you’re here. Everyone has been so angsty and alight with nerves in the weeks prior to your arrival, so it will be such a relief when we can finally fall into our new normal.

Notes... Damian threw the biggest tantrum when he found out that the government censors any identifiable names in yandere letters. The first Redacted was Dick, followed later by Titus and Alfred the Cat. Damian's letter was so fun because he's still a little kid. He has endless confidence and minimal empathy, and has a tendency to go on tangents about his pets and hobbies. Nothing can go wrong in his daydreams. My boy <3

Silly letter from August

((I made a little letter idea with August! It's nothing much just him gushing about his crush and such! -Mommabean))

To Whom It Concerns,

I was once promised an afterlife of eternal bliss if I followed the footsteps that my ancestors laid before me. But I feel, since meeting you, I’ve been blessed even more than any religious figure could gift me.

You do more to me than any private church session. You warm me more than any family meal by the fire. You make my eyes widen with awe and joy when you do anything, such as smiling my way or showing me how you handle your animals.

I’m not one to question my faith often, never once, if I'm being quite honest. But being with you has made me question everything lately, and I’ve even considered some rather unholy things just to know what it’s like to love you fully.

You’ve haven’t even been here a year and you’ve captured a soul like me. I wonder who else has been wrangled by your looks and your energy. I envy them if they can sleep at night without you beside them.

I’m a man who’s always hungry, and for you, it only grows. I starve for your kiss, for your touch, to feel your hand in mine as we walk down the aisle or simply lie side by side.

I know this whole thing is nothing but a ramblin man going on and on, but it has a meaning, I promise!

I plan to make you mine. Doesn’t matter what the town thinks, what the church thinks, hell, doesn’t matter what you think. I’m sure we’re meant to be, and I won’t let you slip away. We’ll be together one way or another, and if God is truly watching, he’ll offer his help to get you in my arms.

(Based off of something I mentioned in this ask)

Oh Deary,

I’m so sorry. So so so very sorry. I hadn’t ever meant any harm when I signed that god forsaken petition but when Arthur had come home one day from work and mentioned that there was word of an obscurus going around I panicked. Not only that but that the obscurus was going to be brought in to take a position at Hogwarts, among our children. A flurry of fear, worry and outrage was going around regarding the whole situation but Arthur wasn’t worried about it. He had trust in Albus and if Albus was invested in it then it couldn’t be nearly as awful as everyone was making it seem. And I should have shared that same trust but I couldn’t. Not when my children were involved. I had let fear and anxiety regarding the topic consume me and I took action against Arthur’s reassurance. And I took action against you without even knowing.

My main concern had been for my children and their safety. That was all I could think of. And honestly, I had felt so much relief after I signed that petition that I hadn’t thought twice about it again. I had taken action and with knowing that I did something for the sake of my children, I felt content.

When the new school year started, one of he first things Percy did was notify us that there was indeed an obscurus at Hogwarts and made part of the staff, assisting the groundskeeper with bits and bobs. And also about how Fred and George had taken to befriending the said obscurus. I had immediately been plagued with that same feeling of worry and anxiety all over again. Of course, Fred and George would do something like that! But as I continued to read Percy’s letter he spoke so positively about the obscurus, about you.

You were nothing like anyone had presumed you to be or made you seem, you were someone just surviving and living with what they had been dealt with. Given what all Percy was saying, I felt all the overwhelming and intense emotions fleeting away. I was glad he could shine some light on this situation and give us some ease to know that all our children were going to be safe and sound.

It wasn’t too long after we received Percy’s letter that we had gotten Fred and George’s letters as well. And their letters certainly made a whole lot of difference to me. They spoke so adoringly of you. It was obvious just how much the two had taken to you and that they were clinging on to you as much as they could. I could feel my own joy bubbling up inside me as I continued to read through their words. But it wasn’t until I saw the pictures that the twins had sent along with their letters that I felt my heart clench. There were a few different pictures of the twins, Ron, Harry, Lee Jordan, and a few others, but it was the ones that had my boys and a new face that garnered my attention.

Reading the back of the photographs I learned that this new face was you. That’s when I learned that you weren’t even all that much older than my own children, you looked to be around Bill and Charlie’s age. I couldn’t help the overwhelming feeling that washed over me in that moment. You were still a child yourself, it didn’t matter how self sufficient you were or that you were taking on an adult role as a staff member at Hogwarts. You were a child.

The obscurus everyone had been so fearful and worried about, the same obscurus I had been so terrified to have my children around, was only a child themself. I took part to get rid of you at Hogwarts. I took action in trying to rip apart the only piece of acceptance or belonging you would ever experience. I had a hand in taking everything away from you; a home, a livelihood, friends, mentors, a family. I couldn’t believe I took part in something that would have such a drastic impact on you when you were only trying to exist.

I had sobbed all night after coming to realize what exactly my taking part in that petition would come to mean. I know Albus had put a stop to it pretty early on but who knew what the repercussions of it would mean if you or anyone else came across it. Every part of me wanted to apologize to you right then and there after coming to realize everything but I didn’t know how. So, all I could muster myself to do was tell Fred and George to invite you to join us for the next upcoming year’s holiday break. I would welcome you into our home, into our family with warm open arms.

When the holiday break came rolling around and the fated day you would be arriving was growing nearer and nearer, I was running around trying to make everything perfect. It wasn’t though, nothing ever really was perfect in our home but I tried and when you got here you were an absolute delight. You didn’t mind anything and were more than happily content with our home and what it had to offer. You had just been so excited to be invited over at all and that made me want to envelope you in all the love I had to give.

I had decided from that moment that you were completely and utterly, irrevocably a part of our lives. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Fred, George, Ron, Harry, Ginny, Arthur and even Percy all adored you to no end. And I couldn’t help but to do the same. In such a short amount of time you became something truly special to us all.

…Only for it to all come crashing down…

I’m not even sure if you will bother reading this but I just want you to know how truly sorry I am, (Name). I don’t know how that petition got to you or where it came from given that Albus had gone to great lengths to erase any trace of it, but I am so sorry you had to see it. I can’t ever forgive myself for my actions and the fact that they have caused you so much hurt. I don’t expect you to forgive me either but please don’t hold anything against the kids. They are all so worried about you since you left Hogwarts. The other teachers at the school have also shared their overwhelming concern for you given that you haven’t answered anyone’s letters. Even, Albus hasn’t heard from you for awhile, it’s even been rumored that you up and left the place he had made a home just for you and that has him noticeably anxious. Not to mention, Hagrid isn’t holding up all too well either.

Please, I know I’m not one to ask anything of you especially not now, but would you please let someone, anyone know that you are okay. And if you’re not then please tell us. We just want to know what’s going on and that you’re safe. Please.

It was very difficult for me to be away from you for such a long time. Sometimes I wish I had burned everything when we were asked to leave. When you heard that I took two women as my wife while I was in exile, you must have been upset, disappointed and very angry with me. I'm not judging you. You have the right. But believe me, no woman can take your place in my heart. I was dreaming of you even when I was with other women. But there is no reason for me to stay away from you anymore. Now that I am King, nothing will stop me from taking you as my wife.

Honestly, the facts I learned during these days made me very angry. You hid from me that we have children. You can't imagine how angry I was when I heard this. My mother Visenya argued that you had good reasons for doing this. Actually, I know you did it to protect our children. Maybe his resentment towards me has something to do with it. Whatever happens, nothing can stop us from being a family together now. I will come tomorrow to take you and our children to the place where you belong. We will be married as soon as we return to the castle. My mother can't wait to meet her grandchildren. I am also excited to meet our children. Wait until he comes to pick you up.
