Sure thing! I´m doing this under the assumption that the reader isn´t aware of Natsume´s yandere tendencies and has a crush on him because of that!

Well, this is certainly an interesting situation, isn´t it? Natsume doesn´t quite know how to feel when his beloved darling is so vehemently denying that they have any sort of feelings for him. By having watched them for so long through his crystal ball, he knows them well enough to realize that they aren´t telling the truth

You may try to hide your crush on him by acting cold and indifferent when talking to him, but Natsume can read you very well. He notices the way your eyes briefly light up when he enters the room or the way your eyes nervously shift to the side whenever he compliments you with a teasing smile on his face

Oh, it´s simply adorable, the way you try to deny your affection for him when it´s so entirely obvious to him that you feel the same way as he does! It truly amuses him to no end and he takes some time to simply indulge in how adorable you are when you try to act that way by flirting even more than he usually would. He commits all your different reactions to memory <3

But that honeymoon period of Natsume being entranced and charmed by your blatant dishonesty quickly ends as the weeks go by and you still haven´t given up on the act

Oh come now, it was cute the first few times but now Natsume really is getting tired of having to wait so long for your confession. He has never been a particularly patient man and that goes doubly so when it concerns you, his beloved little darling

Gets annoyed very quickly at being rebuked by you at every turn and doesn´t understand why you would keep doing this. He *really* doesn´t like being ignored, he´s the possessive/ jealous type so he especially hates seeing the contrast between how aloof you act around him compared to when you talk to other people, and seeing it happen all the time just drives him up a wall. Natsume has a huge urge to finally claim you and to let everyone know that you´re already taken - that he´s your boyfriend

He´s simply so obsessed with you that he can´t wait to finally be with you. You know, it was a huge relief to him when he had initially found out that you returned his feelings but now it just annoys him to no end that you still aren´t being honest with him and keep trying to push him away

Natsume has spent more than enough time simply waiting for you to get over yourself and finally make a move and he´s gotten tired of your little games

If you aren´t willing to make the first move then Natsume will simply have to push you in the right direction!

Which is why Natsume immediately goes to his secret room to start brewing a love potion for you. Yes, you may already love him but a little bit more can´t hurt, right? Maybe it´ll even lead you to be just as obsessed as he is! He loves the thought of driving you mad with affection for him <3

Hopefully, it´ll push you to finally confess your undying love to him so you can finally be together

So don´t be shy when Natsume offers you a refreshing drink after a long day of work, he only means well <3

i’ll start this off by saying i absolutely adore animals (especially cats). i literally fall asleep to animal documentaries. two of my favorite past-times are reading and writing. i have shelves of books and so so many pages of little poems and stories i write on my computer. i practice witchcraft, though i wouldn’t necessarily say that i am wiccan. i love crystals and herbs. i enjoy playing video games too.

i’m very shy and quiet around people i’m unfamiliar with due to my anxiety, so it’s difficult for me to open up and pursue friendships. because of this, i’m in my head a lot and i tend to day dream. i’m drawn to aesthetics and i like things with deep meanings. i tend over-analyze a lot of things— whether it’s a song, a story, or something someone says. i’m incredibly sensitive to my surroundings so i can easily read people. i’m a very good listener and i adore it when a person tells me about themselves or their day. generally, i’m very protective of the people i spend time with. i enjoy lightly teasing people but i can get quite bashful when the tables are turned. i get so embarrassed that it’s embarrassing… i love praise and will actively seek it, whether it’s showing someone a poem i’ve just written or a high score i’ve gotten on my favorite game. i’m really sensitive to other’s criticism though, and i can take things deep unless i know that it’s light-hearted or jokes. i like to use big words to make myself appear more intelligent and mature. i cannot stand scary things (DOLLS…) or insects, especially butterflies and bees.

this may be a tad obvious of an answer, but i believe your perfect match would be.....

natsume is drawn in by your quiet nature, but you exude such a mysterious aura that he can't ignore. he is enamoured by you, and how you analyze the world around you so easily. at first, he simply wants to know more about you. someone like you must be hiding something, to be so soft spoken yet so in tune with everything around you. he wants to understand you. he needs to.

being natsume, of course, this means he tends to tease you. he quickly falls for the way you react to his words. whether it be how you perk up at his affirming words, or how you flush when his words poke at you. but do not misunderstand him — he deeply enjoys the long talks you both have, together observing the world and speaking in hushed voices when in class.

as protective as you can be, natsume takes things a step further. brewing potions, casting minor spells, watching your every move for his chance to save you... he makes sure that you are safe no matter what. all of this, and he claims you only to be a friend. a good magician never reveals his secret, hm? you would be used against him or endangered if he let the world knew of his feelings for you. but that certainly does not mean he will relinquish you to anyone else.

he may not be the best at video games, but he has learned a bit from sora. he loves to play with you, because he loves to see how happy you get when beating a level. sometimes, he likes to pretend that he does not ynderstand how to play, just to have you lean closer to explain the controls. or he will throw matches of competitive games so you can win, just so he can see you smile. you are smart, and if you catch onto his act, he will feign ignorance and tease you for being 'insecure', since clearly you are just so good at this game. do not doubt yourself in front of him, okay? he will simply will not accept it! if you do not catch onto the play, he will simply continue to do so since it makes you so happy when you win.

natsume has fallen for you, and he is a stubborn creature of jealousy. if he fears his aloof and playful nature has driven a wedge between you both, he is not above mixing together a strong love potion to bring you back into his arms. if you are hopelessly in love with him, then it would be okay for him to be more open with his own affections... in fact, he may not even wait to do such a thing. after all, that protective necklace he made you... there is an awful lot of rose quartz on it, isn't there?

➮ NATSUME SAKASAKI is certainly interested by this turn of events. while he may not show it, he's definitely happy knowing his darling is starting to feel more comfortable with him. due to this change in behavior he'll act a little more forward with you. he'll still remain aloof and mysterious around you but you'll might catch a glimpse of his vulnerable side. though he admits, he did find your shy demeanor pretty cute (especially when he calls you 'kitten') he likes that he can hold a casual conversation with you without worrying that he made you uncomfortable. adding on to this statement, he thinks being attentive and gifting you combined with his charming way of speaking would be enough to sway you into the direction of liking him back. so don't be surprised if natsume gets your exact order correctly at your usual cafe spot, or how the little trinkets he gifts you are something you mention wanting in your previous conversations (or stalking you through his crystal ball when he's too busy to chat with you). once in a while, natsume will go into his secret room to hopefully raise his odds of being together with you. sometimes he stays in there for hours, drawing a card from his tarot deck to see what future you have with him. occasionally he'll put just a tiny bit of love spells on your gifts, just to ensure you'll enjoy it. he'll go to unbelievable lengths just to get you to like him. please just love him and only him, he doesn't know how much longer he can play the waiting game until he 'accidently' slips in a drop of love potion into your drink.

But god can you imagine if you're unlucky enough to get your favorite being self aware? Considering that they feed into your obsession and knowing you sort of have an "in" to the code to cheat and have the bargaining chip of "I could literally end your existence this minute if I so wish <3" how bad can that get for both parties involved? It would be so toxic and such a nightmare to try and get out of, especially if the self-aware "bug" can spread to something else, but somehow you still maintain the ability to make them stop by destroying your phone and getting rid of the app for good.

But also after so much time spent with them can you really bring yourself to do it? If it wasn't for the screen they would basically be a human being. And in a way the screen is both a blessing and a curse, because with it there is a guarantee that at least they won't be able to hurt you physically. But also when it gets to be too much since that side of their screen is their everything, would you really be able to end what is basically a human life minus the physical body?

Omg... you brought up some amazing points, I had to take a bit to properly think about it. I looked at this series of asks and thought "Oo, good I can rant a bit here and use that as warm-up for my actual writing" and then. I spend two hours writing this response.

Cut for length + yandere is smth I write as a horror trope and don't seek to romanticise, neither do I see it as romantic. The player in this case is a bit of a badass, tho

So, like, if you have the (bad? good?) luck of your fave gaining self-awareness, that'd definitely be something. I assume the, I forgot the proper saying, rose-tinted glasses? might worsen your way of dealing with it, because it's your fave and they're telling you things like, "Only look at me" and "You don't need anyone but me" and "I'd do anything for you" and "I'll kill whoever you try to put in my spot on the homescreen" and so on, and so on. And I couldn't blame you if you, especially considering you'd likely believe these are just new lines (maybe happyele is trying to appeal to the yume base, yknow?), decided to treat it as something charming or even attractive. After all, it's just fiction, they can't hurt you, so seeing those lines in a game would sooner be met with "Oh, they're passionate about me" instead of the restraining order a real person would (and should) get as response.

So you have your favourite getting so attached to you, exclaiming their love for you so directly, it's as if they're as obsessed with you as you are with them. You might even start playing more often just to see all the new lines - but suddenly the character gets sad, they look disappointed. They ask you if you think they're just a character. Of course, you don't respond. Why would you, it's a game. But the character frowns a bit deeper than you've ever seen on these models, does a movement that's just a little too lifelike, and repeats the question. This time, adding an, "I gained access to your microphone a week ago; you can answer me. I'll hear you." Whether you take the bait or don't doesn't matter, they are hellbent on proving to you that they have a consciousness and awareness. They talk to you about the events, the way you play, how much you play... They tell you how happy they are because they noticed you were only pulling for their cards. How happy they are that you're grinding their event. Because all they want is to be your number one, and that's exactly the proof that they are.

And then their event scout comes along and you have no dia. You're sad - you want their cards so bad! They're your favourite, and that card is so cute! They can't stand to see you sad, so they work so, so hard. "I'd do anything for you," they reassure you as your dia count rises. And at this point you realise... this could be mutually beneficial. You continue showering this character in love and praise, vocally cooing over their outfits, cards, SPPs, music, and so on. Not a hard thing to do, considering they're your favourite anyway, but this time you're throwing them some rewards for their help. And they bask in this attention, and they keep up messing with the code to give you currency, score boosts, extra event points, better item drops, faster BP/AP and work ticket regen... It feels like cheating, but you're happy, the pixel is happy, and happyele hasn't killed your account for hacking, so it's fine, right?

And so starts quite the toxic little symbiotic relationship. Really, the character has no influence on your physical world, the only thing they have is their words. They live for you and because of you, and you know it. But, hey, nobody has just one favourite. So, maybe one day you ask for a little extra dia, for your second fave. And they refuse, saying that the deal was they give you dia that you spend on them only. It's a pixel. You don't need to feel bad for it. So you tell it, no. The deal was they give you dia and you don't factory reset your phone to get rid of them. This goes one of a few ways.

Characters like Mayoi and Mika are quick to bow down and shut up. To "Yes, Producer, sorry, Producer" and do whatever you ask of them. In fact, they apologise for even assuming they'd be able to stay as your only one without any work. They continue giving you whatever you ask of them, all the while trying to give you sweeter and sweeter words, trying to get on your good side again, to make up for their speaking out of turn. They vocally worship you, and end every conversation by thanking you and begging you to not take them off the homescreen. These are the best ones you can get stuck with, if you're okay with thinking of them as just pixels, because they'll allow you do anything, really.

Others, like Eichi, Izumi and Madara, will not call your bluff, but they only give you the barest of minimums, with nothing but threats that they will make you regret your disloyalty. But they can't do anything, so you'll be fine, probably. They treat you coldly for the duration of events and banners you work for that aren't theirs, but they're quick to turn back to their usual "loving" self the moment you give up, praising you for it. These guys will become much more verbally abusive when they're upset with you, so your best choice might really be to wipe them before it starts negatively affecting your day-to-day life.

Those like Shu, HiMERU and Natsume give you the silent treatment. They leave you your dia, sure, but they leave the homescreen. If you only had them there, you're met with silence and only the background for as long as you're trying for another character. An empty textbox, it really looks like it just glitched out. In Shu's and Natsume's cases, they leave because they don't want to say something extreme. They don't think you'd actually get rid of them, but they refuse to risk, and so they leave to cool off before one impulsive sentence ruins them. HiMERU similarly doesn't want to show you his brash side, but that's more to do with him wanting to keep up his image rather than not wanting to call your bluff. Don't worry, though, these types are very angry. They'll find a way to pay you back. These guys are okay, but if pushed too far can jump either to the previous category, or the one below.

And then those like Tori, Hiyori and Ritsu. They throw a fit. They're almost screaming at you, they don't care about any "second" favourites, THEY should be your ONLY favourite. They're not giving you the dia. You will not convince them, no, even if you threaten to wipe your phone. "Do it, I'd rather die than hand you over to someone else." is their response. And they're not bluffing, either. They do leave you with a, "But you'll have a much harder time without my help, especially now that you're used to it," so do reconsider. These guys have a truly enviable sense of entitlement and amount of self-confidence. You'll have to either be happy with only getting other characters' cards through luck in pulling on your "fave"'s banners or starting from scratch on a fresh account, hopefully devoid of weird, frankly game-breaking, bugs like this. These are the most frustrating ones to be stuck with, but if you're happy with only them, they're happy (and more importantly, docile).

But no matter which character you get stuck with, you'll probably be hit by the moral dilemma of whether you should wipe your save or not often. There's multiple aspects to it. Firstly, you're cheating. Feel bad for the devs. Secondly, if this is a living being, you're kinda taking advantage of it. Even though it mistreats you, even bullies and abuses you at times, you're still manipulating it and playing with its feelings and existential fear by threatening it to give you what you want. Do two wrongs make a right? Would you still treat it that way if it wasn't as creepy and obsessed with you? Thirdly, the whole situation gives you the creeps. It mentioned having access to your mic. What else can it access? How much info does it know about you? Even if you ask it, it can just lie and say it's only awake when you're playing, you can't prove something like "what they don't know", but for all you know they're rifling through your bank account and photo gallery while you're sleeping and then acting stupid when you ask them about it. Even the meek ones know what lies they can tell you without you ever finding out the truth.

But, then you gotta think. You might have a breakthrough in AI and computing on your hands. A fully conscious something sitting in your little gacha game. It could pass the Turing test easily, and it shows genuine emotions, complex ones, even. Disappointment, infatuation, sadness, anger, frustration, even empathy whenever you'd rant to them. Could you really destroy something like that? Even if it's a bug, it's something people thought of as nearly impossible, as sci-fi, the least you can do is maintain it, keep it alive until you can find a way for them to be extracted, examined, treated as lab specimens. But, well, not all of them would be happy with that, so maybe keep it to yourself if your end goal is to bring about a new era of technology.

Fine are like the pseudo-villains, esp eichi, but it's mostly just a farce. eichi acts in a lot of ways that directly hurt people (and caused an entire arc called the war) but usually does what he does with good intentions behind them. i have mixed feelings on the guy tho so. sdkjgh . also stream hajimari no fantasia. Trickstar is like the unofficial "main" group of enstars and tbh i dislike their music but they're a cute little unit. best friends. love mao btw. mao is also ritsu's childhood friend and also they're kinda gayasses together. RYUSEITAI is based off of like, superhero shows :) their whole gimmick is being superheros and their music is very upbeat and fun :) silly little guys. ALKALOID is a new unit in !! and they are silly. mayoi and tsumi are gayasses. hiiro and aira are gayasses. the entire unit is in gay love. #win. for realsies tho they are touted as "underachievers" and are the main unit in the !! main story alongside crazy:b :)

uhu newdi my beloved ! hello hello! thank you for the request, i hope you enjoy

natsume knew what he was doing was wrong- so, so wrong. it was an awful, sneaky thing that would surely end up with you despising him, and he knew he should stop and leave you alone, but... your vulnerable little whimpers begging for him to touch you, flushed cheeks, and writhing body underneath of him... it was too good for him to stop now. he had you, his precious, darling kitten completely under his control.

it had been far too easy for natsume to slip a special little potion into your water bottle while you were distracted- you really should’ve been paying more attention, especially around him. he knew you didn’t trust him enough to simply drink something he gave you, so he had to resort to… less ethical methods. but oh, did it work like a charm!

in just under an hour, you were feeling off- dizzy and warm. when you began to slur your words, your friends got concerned. however, of course, natsume was quick to whisk you away, insiting to your friends he'd take care of you and bring you to the nurse. it wasn't entirely false- he would be taking good care of you.

every inch of you felt bliss; all you could feel was the pure heat and pleasure of natsume’s hands feverishly running up and down your body, his lips peppering kisses wherever he could reach. it was as if the two of you were resting in your own cloud of ecstasy- nothing else mattered at that moment except you and him. your soft, angelic body belonged in his hands.

all you could think, breathe, and feel was natsume.

“you’ve really got me, little kitten,” the second he removed his lips from your body, you whined. “you don’t know how long i’ve dreamed of this.”

with your shirt already removed, natsume’s kisses went from your neck to your chest, desperately savouring every last taste of your skin. such pretty, delicate skin… he couldn’t help but think how much prettier it would be marked and claimed by him.

“p-please… n-natsume…!” you wanted more. so much more- each touch he laid on you felt euphoric. he was teasing you at this point.

natsume never in a million years thought he’d hear his name slip past your parted, swolled lips in such a lewd and frenzied manner. but it wasn’t enough. he wanted to hear you beg, to cry for him to please you more. he had you trapped, and he wouldn’t stop until he had to.

“hmm? my, my… how needy my darling little kitten is… ♪” natsume hummed, a cat-like grin on his lips. he maneuvered himself so his lips were against your ear, “why don’t you beg for me, darling? tell me how much you want me. tell me that you’re all mine, nobody can make you feel as good as i can.”

“yes- i-i’m all yours! y-you’re the only one who… who can make me feel this good.” it was difficult to get the words out, what with his breath fanning your ear and his hands sneaking down lower and lower.

natsume felt as if he could come undone just with those words, those sweet words he had longed to hear for ages. god, what an adorable, docile kitten you were.

“that’s my kitten,” he cooed in a whisper. “how could i ever say no to that?”

with natsume’s cold hands finally beginning to relieve your pressure and your pretty little mewls being music to his ears, he couldn’t help but relish in you. so soft, so needy and worked up…

it was unfortunate that you couldn’t be this good and obedient for him on your own.

There once was a magician, who lived in a tower. He could see all that happened below, and one day, he fell in love.

There once was a gardener, who lived in the castle. They loved the castle garden, and every day, they went out to trim the plants, water them, take care of them as if they were their own children. The magician was in love with them. He saw them, from his tower, caring for the flowers, and the vegetables, the fruits and the berries. They looked so happy, when they took breaks, they would sit underneath the trees and read, or maybe secretly pick some fruits and eat them. The magician saw this, saw their genuineness and how they wore their heart on their sleeve, and fell madly in love. So in love, he couldn’t bear it. So, he finally stepped out of his tower, and went out to meet the gardener.

That magician’s name was Natsume. And the gardener… Well, the gardener is you. This is your story. For better, or for worse.

Natsume glanced at himself in the mirror. He was dressed in his finest robes, and took ages brushing his hair out. He needed to look his best for you, after all. He had to make a good first impression. After all, he was your future husband! He stepped out of the tower doors, and took a deep breath. He used a spell to transport himself to the castle gardens — nothing too difficult, a simple teleportation spell, was all — and bit his lip nervously. It was unlike him, to be this anxious. You really had such an effect on him…

A familiar voice stopped his train of thought, musical and angelic — at least, to him it was.

“Excuse me, sir, I need to water the roses…” you stared at the strangely-dressed man, bewilderment clear on your face. Ah, you were just too cute…!

“Ah, my Apologies…” he cleared his throat and moved out of your way. As you watered said roses, you tried to make small talk. After all, the awkward silence was killing you both.

“Is this your first time in the castle gardens, sir? I don’t believe we’ve met.”

Natsume lit up. You were talking to him! Finally, after all this time, the two of you were actually interacting. All this time of him watching you silently from the tower window… simply gazing at you, as you were adorably unaware that he was practically melting over everything you did.

“Ahem, yes. This is my first Time.” He looked away shyly. This was all too much! Did he conceal his identity? Did he reveal who he was to impress you? What should he do, really! “I’m the castle magician, you See. I’ve been called out of the tower for some… Business.”

Your eyes widened, and you bowed to him. “Oh, I’m very sorry! I didn’t recognize someone of such high standing… please accept my apologies, sir.”

Natsume was taken aback. Was he really that important? He wasn’t all that… aware of the world outside the tower, as he had spent most of his life there, learning magic from his mother. “It’s… it’s no big Deal. I simply wished to… to view the Gardens.”

You straightened your back. “Well… I could take you for a tour, if you like.”

“I… would love That.”

This is a story of a magician and a gardener. Little does the gardener know, the magician’s feelings for the gardener are much darker than they could imagine. For this is not a story of love, but obsession.

General Yandere! Natsume headcanons

Natsume would not be the easiest yandere to deal with, simply because it would be kind of hard to catch on that he harbors such intense, obsessive feelings for you. He likes to act a bit aloof, wanting to keep up his mysterious charm while at the same time hiding his true feelings to not be too vulnerable when talking to other people

He´s also naturally a bit flirty from time to time so you wouldn´t suspect anything when he keeps throwing flirty comments your way in casual conversation. That´s just how he is, right? Natsume tries to give you subtle hints about how he feels about you without revealing the true depth of his love, but you´re just not catching on, which probably frustrates him a fair bit

Natsume loves talking to you a lot, as it allows him to both learn more information about you and get closer to you in a way that looks natural. You don´t need to know that he already knew most of the things you´re telling him, simply from carefully observing you when you go about your day. He still loves listening to your voice regardless and just spending time with you like this is already a blessing in his eyes

He thinks that being very attentive and frequently giving you gifts as “good luck charms” combined with his charming way of speaking would be enough to win you over eventually

In the meantime, he´ll spend a considerable amount of time in one of his secret rooms, trying to improve his odds of getting with you through his magic. Every day he draws a card from his tarot deck as a means to glimpse into the future of your shared life together. He uses his crystal ball to secretly watch you when you have to be somewhere else. He puts a potent love spell on every single gift he gives you. I mean it´s only fair after what you did to his poor heart, right? You bewitched him and pulled him deep into an abyss of obsession with no way to escape

Natsume just can´t get you out of his mind so he has to do absolutely everything in his power to be with you!

This leads me to my next point. Natsume as a yandere is very possessive and gets really jealous really quick. It doesn´t even have to be something like a stranger hitting on you or kissing you ( though god forbid if that were to happen), he already gets jealous when you´re simply talking to someone else and giving them more attention than him

He doesn´t like it, hates it in fact! Now, he´s not going to blame you for this, you´re way too nice of a person to simply turn someone away after all! But whoever took up your time is now an enemy in Natsume´s mind. They dare try to take you away from him? Oh, he won´t let them

While he would try to maintain a calm facade as long as you are still around, not wanting to reveal his true nature to you, after all, Natsume would get noticeably upset at the other person and throw in harsh remarks from time to time, all in an effort to drive them away ( but also to vent his frustration and anger)

You might just assume that this is just regular Natsume being a bit cold with his words and probably don´t worry too much about it ( I mean you´ve probably seen how he talks to Tsumugi), but he is livid.

He´s so so jealous and he hates having to share you with anyone else, even if you aren´t an official couple yet. You´re already his in his mind, the stars have told him as much! You two are destined to be with each other and he´s not going to let some random nobody ruin that for him

After that ordeal, Natsume would be in a bad mood the rest of the day and as soon as he gets back to his secret room, he opens up one of his spellbooks and starts looking through and considering all of his options. Magicians are supposed to bring smiles and help out other people but just this once he wants to abuse that power. He´s going to cast every single curse he can find at the poor person that got too close to you in his eyes, wishing eternal damnation upon them

Natsume will also make sure to talk to you about this person and convince you that they aren´t a good person to be around. Haven´t you heard? They´ve been found stealing things from their classmates! All the missing items have miraculously been found in their bag this morning! They were probably just trying to turn you into another one of their unsuspecting victims by being so disgustingly nice to you. So it would be better if you just stayed away from them, okay? He´ll be here to keep you company instead, you didn´t really need them anyway <3

Please just give up on them or Natsume would be forced to resort to some more violent means to drive them off. There´s nothing he wouldn´t do if it´s to ensure your happy future together

Sunset dyed the forest rich shades of carmine and amber, washing away their beautiful greens as if beckoning an early Autumn -- a display which blurred together like mixed paint on a canvas as you ran as far as your legs would carry you. The unpleasant taste of iron bathed your throat the harder you pushed yourself past your limit, desperately running from an entity you couldn’t see. Gleeful laughter bounced off the flora like an echo chamber, your mind struggling to make sense of your surroundings the further you delved into the woodlands, the further you ran from home. You swore the branches, rocks, and even trees in your path moved aside for you, parting like a river in the presence of a goddess -- no doubt the result of the onryo’s magic.

“My little koneko-chan~” Another giggle, illusory and attenuated by his magicks. Heart crawled up your throat at the prospect of having lost him -- he sounded far, but you knew better than to let your guard down. “How adorable, thinking you’ll get far!~” He hummed, seemingly right in your ear, but you didn’t dare look over your shoulder.

Oh, how he adored playing this game of cat and mouse! You were his beloved pet, his sweet little darling whose arrival he awaited day in and day out! Although he longed to hold you in his arms and coo at you for returning to his forest, it’d be a waste to not have some fun before he finally caught you.

Your ankle, swollen from an earlier fall, threatened to burst as you applied pressure to it with each step, the adrenaline rushing through your veins hardly enough to numb the pain. Vision blurring with tears and exhaustion, the bitter taste of iron was difficult to ignore, proof that you’d screamed your loudest only for the forest to drown your wails.

And, all at once, it stopped.

There was a lull in air as Natsume’s laughter cut off without warning, leaving you with the faint echoes of his laughter and the otherwise deafening silence belonging to a forest you hardly knew; still, your running didn’t relent.

Not until he appeared in front of you -- not until you ran right into his arms.

“Caught you~”

Lithe fingers, made sharp by the long fingernails of the vengeful spirit, knitted themselves in your hair. You wanted to shriek, the warmth of his chest against yours rolling off of him in waves, but his very presence was enough to paralyze you. Nails, sharp enough to cut into your flesh like knives, twined your locks between fingers that had been stained with blood far too many times, playing with your strands so gently, as if they were nothing more than tempered glass -- pretty, but far too fragile for its own good. You would have struggled, pushed him away long ago had he not cast a powerful charm which rendered your nervous system entirely useless. He smiled impishly at the way your lips still managed to tremble -- at the way even his most powerful magic couldn’t mask the fear in your eyes.

“Oh how I’ve missed my little darling!” He sung, his cascading voice joining the birdsong coming from the dense thicket of trees that surrounded you both -- trapping you in this forest with a spirit who was far too obsessed with you. “You know”, he mused as he draped your limp arms across his shoulders like lovers would. “Your spell hasn’t quite worn off since the last time I laid eyes on you, my little enchantress!”

You couldn’t speak -- whatever spell he’d cast had prohibited your vocal chords from working the way you intended, resulting in embarrassing whimpers on your part. You could only softly whine as he needily nuzzled into the delicate space between your shoulder and neck. “I love you so much, being apart is always so painful!”

Another whimper, this time complimented by his soft laughter. He was terrifying as always, but his voice nonetheless held an ethereal lilt that lowered your defenses and drew you in. You suppose that’s how he lured in his victims, though it still baffled you why’s he taken such a keen interest in you rather than kill you off. You weren’t sure if you should feel grateful or frightful, but the idea of someone taking any interest in a lowly village girl was oddly comforting.

If only you attracted the affections of humans. Trouble seemed to follow you wherever you went, almost always under the guise of a playful spirit with far too much time on his hands.

“Ah, why don’t you stay here with me?” His voice rose in pitch, a testament to how wonderful he found that idea. He’d always be by your side! Always holding your hand, sniffing your hair, nuzzling into your warmth, inhaling your sweet scent -- oh what heaven that’d be! “You don’t have to return to your village, I’m sure they’d understand!” He excitedly chirped, liquid gold eyes sparkling with unadulterated admiration and glee.“After all, what we have is true love!”

He took your lack of response as a resounding yes. “Don’t you agree, little koneko-chan?”

“What a disgusting name, onryo.” Ritsu interjected, throwing his fan at Natsume. The fan simply phased through the spirit before curving through the air and returning to the demon. Ritsu clicked his teeth together, baring his fangs with a look of sheer disgust. “Why do you insist on calling my darling Riko that?”

“And why do you insist on ruining my time with my darling koneko-chan, oni?”

Ritsu hopped from the tree branch, easily landing on his feet with otherworldly grace. You whimpered again at the arrival of yet another stalker, noticing that Natsume’s magic seemed to wear off whenever he diverted his attention; however, eyeing your surroundings for a potential escape quickly proved fruitless as Ritsu strode over to you both and listlessly removed Natsume’s hold on your waist. The spot which Natsume’s arms held immediately grew warmer, the coldness of his ethereal form no longer sapping your heat; of course, Ritsu’s own arm slipped around your waist and tugged you toward him possessively. Natsume scoffed indignantly, fingers immediately curling around your own.

“Why are you here, oni?” Joy had bled from Natsume’s voice upon your other admirer’s arrival. He knew the demon would appear sooner or later, and although the two more or less got along -- enough to share you, as they’d lovingly discussed last time you wandered too far into the forest -- the onryo much preferred he didn’t appear at all.

“It’s my turn.” Ritsu simply stated, smile bordering predatory as he tucked your arms around his waist, body pressed up against yours in a display of dominance toward the other yokai. “Isn’t that right, darling? You must’ve missed me if you wandered back into this forest knowing I’d find you without a problem.”

“T-that’s not true...”, you shyly managed now that you weren’t looking into Natsume’s eyes. Ritsu, luckily, didn’t possess magic that paralyzed you -- not that it mattered when either yokai could catch you before you met the forest’s edge. “T-this is the safest path to the neighboring village.”

“Is that so?” He hummed thoughtfully, the sunset perfectly complimenting his scarlet-red eyes. “I don’t believe you, darling. With monsters like us wandering around, this couldn’t possibly be the safest path.” His eyes caught on your lips, eyeing the delicate skin far too long for your liking. “Admit it -- you belong here with me, you’re just too shy to say it.” Scarlet eyes captured yours, their colors so bright it made your stomach twist with the realization of how powerless you were in this situation. Both of your stalkers in the same vicinity -- the tension so palpable you could hardly breathe. “It’s alright to admit you want to be loved, darling. Go on -- give me permission to love you, as if it’s the only thing you can say.”

“I-I...I c..can’t”, you nearly choked, head starting to spin under the overwhelming pressure, the very presence of two powerful spirits enough to drain what little spiritual energy you’d retained. The weight of Ritsu’s body pressed against yours, the pain of Natsume’s claws digging into your skin -- it was all too much. “P...please let me go, I--”

“Hush, darling. Don’t be like that.” His lips brushed against yours, fangs eagerly gnawing against the delicate flesh -- whether teasing a kiss or a bite, you weren’t sure. “Here, let me help...”, he mused, lips close enough to--

Natsume growled, golden eyes flashing a dangerous shade of red -- the very sight of Ritsu making himself far too comfortable with you, in front of him no less, made his blood boil. Nails all but pierced your skin as his grip tightened around your wrist, harshly tugging you from the demon’s grasp and back into his embrace.

Ritsu’s eyes narrowed with annoyance, as if realizing Natsume was still there. “Didn’t you hear me, onryo? We had an agreement -- it’s my turn.”

“Can’t you see she’s worn out, oni?”

“And whose fault is that?”

Natsume chewed on his bottom lip, brows furrowed as he gazed so lovingly down at you. Your cheeks were flush, eyes heavy with exhaustion and hints of pain as the adrenaline wore off. His eyes flitted to your swollen ankle, feeling a sense of guilt at what he’d caused. “I... I admit this is my fault, but we need to help her at least.”

Ritsu relented, clicking his tongue impatiently. “Fine. She did say this was the safest route.” He smiled at the thought, flashing an almost sadistic glance your way. “We might as well keep her -- she’ll be much safer with us.”

“...For once I agree with you, oni.”

Was about to fall asleep but suddenly had this silly little idea and just had to write it down and post it in case anyone had any thoughts or if I wanted to elaborate on it in the morning.

So anyway, I was kind of thinking about both yandere Shu and yandere Natsume. I don't think I've ever written general yandere headcanons for either of them so I was kind of thinking something along the lines of "man it probably wouldn't be all that easy to find out they're so obsessed with you"

I think this for different reasons. I think with Shu, it would stem from the fact that he would only truly go yandere when it's already "too late". He needs a lot of time to even start to trust you enough to call you a friend and his descent is very slow and almost unnoticeable to his darling.

He's not very open about his feelings in the first place and with how slow the relationship is progressing, you'd have no idea just how Shu feels about you.

With Natsume, I feel like you would maybe have a better chance of figuring it out due to his rampant jealousy and a faster building obsession, but he's not one that's always very obvious about it either. He's always been kind of flirty even from the very moment you knew him so you don't really bat and eye when he just keeps going with it.

Natsume also has a tendency to not always express his true feelings and he likes to include untruths in his sentences or talk about his real thoughts in a roundabout way that is likely to go over your heard if you haven't known him long enough

So you get the basic idea, right? You wouldn't be so quick to figure out something is clearly wrong with the way they feel about you.

So what if, under some kind of twist of fate, Eichi ended up being the one to warn you of their true intentions?? Yes, that's where I was going with this the entire time. The thought wouldn't leave me alone anymore until I wrote it down.

Like I'm not sure how exactly it would come to that but Eichi is very smart and he's good at figuring people out. So just imagine this. Their shared history is obvious and they already hate Eichi a lot for what he has done in the past

So how are they going to feel once you start distancing yourself from them after you learned about their true intentions? I mean it's scary and you don't really feel comfortable being around them any longer.

And they kind of get a bit desperate because why are you avoiding them? They don't recall doing anything wrong? You couldn't have figured them out, right? Surely they didn't say anything incriminating?

They just love you! They need you!

So imagine their anger when they find out that Eichi, of all people, was the cause for all of this. He was the one that told you all these scary things, he is the reason you don't want to talk to them anymore.

Was what he had done to them not enough?? Did he also have to take away the one person they loved more than anyone else??

Who in the self-aware enstars cast would unironically say “Where´s my hug at?”

So the first person I thought of when reading this ask was Rinne. He absolutely is the type of person that would say that while laughing and even opening up his arms wide, expecting you to hug him. He´s fully aware that he´s being obnoxious and annoying but he still won´t budge until you give in.

Tori says this when he´s throwing one of his childish tantrums with a pout on his face. You didn´t give him the amount of affection he clearly deserves so you better make up for it now! 100 hugs should suffice for the meantime as Yuzuru tries to calm him down ( while being kind of jealous that Tori can so easily demand affection from you)

Ritsu says this when he´s in a sleepy and clingy mood ( so always) and he demands a hug from you whenever he approaches you. Doesn´t matter if you were working on some important project or something or were talking to someone, Ritsu is now standing in front of you and demands his cuddles. He really doesn´t care if he´s making someone else uncomfortable, he needs to recharge his y/n batteries right now! Actually might just throw himself at you even before you agreed to anything.

Rei says it like a grandpa would ask their grandchild at a family reunion when they try to run off after getting their presents. He´s so offended too if you refuse him and might just pull you in his coffin with him so you two can stay bundled up together for a while. Would have been easier if you had just given him his hug from the very beginning, right?

Leo I feel is very similar to Ritsu in that regard but he also just throws himself at you on sight so is there really any point in asking in the first place if he´s already wrapping his arms around you? He´s just big on hugging you in general so expect this to be a regular occurrence

Chiaki already likes showing his affection to his unit mates so of course that also counts for you! He wants to show you how passionate he is about you so he´s also a really big hugger with you. I feel with him, saying “where´s my hug at” has a different vibe than say, with Tori. Chiaki says it while laughing heartily and so you´re probably more likely to indulge him a bit.

Omg, I almost forgot but I swear Kaoru would say that without any sort of shame! He´s so flirty with you, it´s almost overwhelming and so he would love to touch you as much as possible! Just, unbelievably touchy. He would think he´s being so smooth and slick about it too 💀 He really thinks he did something there

When we´re already talking about yanderes that love teasing you and act like they´re all cool and stuff when they´re actually kind of pathetic, let´s also include Natsume in this list! Please, he already calls the player “kitten” of all things in-game, he would say this and you know it. You may not want to accept it but he would say that with a smirk on his face and think he´s sooo charming about it and that there´s no way you will refuse.
