I'm not very good at drawing lately…this is the first thing i drew in a few days... and it took me longer than usual. I guess it's art block ;-;

Btw about this design of Yan-chan. Now it is absolutely known that this is an edit. I asked Dev about this, and he suggested that this edit most likely belongs to an anonymous person from 4chan who criticized the original design of Yan-chan (As I remember, a lot of people criticized it at that time) So, this edit was made back in the days when yansim was just emerging on the 4chan /v/ forum, because Aea's signature is erased, but not the date 2014. This is most likely why it was taken as official concept art in the source where I found this picture.

Despite this, I really liked this design and decided to draw it, or use it as a base for a redesign, I guess

The concept of YanSim is interesting, but the creator is,, Not? A great person??? From what I’ve heard. He’ll pull suit like deleting negative or critical comments in spaces he has any control over, and stuff like that, And apparently, the demo is buggy as hell, and he keeps releasing patches? There’s a whole host of issues, apparently, though I’m not sure if anything’s changed. Just. This is a guy who advocated for a fuckin sex license instead of the age of consent. Not in his game, just. As A Thing.

Obviously you can enjoy things regardless of the maker, and I don’t wanna discourage you from looking at things that interest you! But I wanted you to have a heads up if you hadn’t heard. Stay safe, Ray <3

Thoughts on Mida Rana?

There's too much contradictory evidence to really make me feel good or bad about her. The way she's currently presented - yeah that's problematic. And its pretty clear YandereDev's idea for her was ticking off the sexy teacher box or he has some cool elimination method planned for teachers. However, YandereDev has made a lot of story and game changes to make people comfortable with the game and I feel like judging the character for what we know about her now before her week has even been written is jumping the gun a bit. So I'm waiting to see how her week goes before I feel one way or another about her.

I completely support and understand that YanDev wants to move on from and finish yandere simulator, but I've gotten used to it being in development for so long, that when the game is finished it'll be exciting but kinda sad.

Let me clarify:

I am NOT saying that game should stay in development forever. I am NOT saying the game should or will be a demo forever. I am NOT saying that dev should only work on the game forever and I am willing to accept dev moving on from the project.

Because I had said something similar about the characters models and how I gotten used to them, and a bunch of people in the official discord server had gotten the absolute wrong idea of what I was trying to say, with them thinking that I wanted the current models to stay in the game. No. No I didn't.

I'm just saying, I am simply used to yan sim's current state. I, and I'm sure many others, have had so many good memories, met some cool people because of this game. I honestly enjoy yan sim for what it is now, to the point where the long development time really doesn't phase me.

Checking the blog every 1st and 15th of the month is like my high in the morning, same thing for canon midori, which is why she doesn't smoke weed.

Yea, I want the game to be finished, but I don't mind how long it takes, because quite frankly surface level criticisms like "just finish the game" don't work and because I genuinely love the game for what it is. I love talking in the yansim discord (when there are no trolls), I love drawing and seeing fanart of the characters. I love looking forward to new content. I love yandev talking about his thought process when it comes to him making the game.

All of that won't necessarily go away, but like, you guys get what I mean, right?

I know that there's gonna be that mf that says "It's a game, it's not that deep." or "The game's not going anywhere."

Bruh. I know. Allow me to reflect and get nostalgic.

Yandere Dev ain't shit and the game's never going to get finished, but the YanSim fandom is so creative and I like the characters and the concept. I know I'd love the game if it actually got finished with everything YanDev is wanting for it. But it's not going to happen. Even if the game does get finished, it'll be 5 years from now and I don't know if the execution of it will have been worth the wait.
