Do Dendro Vision Holders Deserve Their Element?

What is Dendro?

associated with knowledge/wisdom in genshin, dendro is a form of florakinesis [technically}.

Plants->trees->old->wisdom

also

Plants-> trees-> paper->books->knowledge.

healing traits can be due medicinal propertied of certain plants.

and with plants association to life, nurturing.

this element feels pretty self explanatory to me which is good when you compare it to how hard electro was for me.

lets begin with the f2p guarantee...

Collei

Despite her past, Collie is a kind soul. the healing trait works here because she IS healing. She's gotten far and we cured her of eleazar, but she needs to heal mentally as well, and I wish the best to her.

her being experimented on could also be seen as the corruption of the thirst for knowledge.

Tighnari

biologist.

knowledgable in his field.

has medicinal knowledge so healing.

kind

parent, so nurturing. [He and Cyno are totes Collei's adoptive dads and I'm here for it.'

KAVEH AND ALHAITHAM

hush! those two are together for reason.

Kaveh and alhaightam is definitely knowledgable.

while Kaveh may have the specialised knowledge needed for his field, Alhaitham's desire to learn about the world gives him a wider scope of knowledge, and he's constantly learning.

common misconception I noticed is that Kaveh is the Idealist in the relationship. They both are heavy idealists and they live with their ideals to the max.

Kaveh is empathetic and uses his heart for decisions to the point of self sabotage, while Alhaitham leans too far into logic.

They may represent the two factors of the pursuit of knowledge.

LOGIC & UNDERSTANDING

which is why while those two are opposites to each other, they're also strangely compatible.

look, I like my emotional messes dating put-together logicians, but those two are in such extremes I didn't get the ship for a bit. I don't know how they work well together as characters but I'm not gonna analyse that relationship.

so yeah.

CONCLUSION

dendro is the latest element introduced so it's characters are sparse. and there are some that really may not have good justifications.

honestly nothing else to say..... goodbye, I'll work on pyro.

Adoption Time!

Another idea brought to you by my irl friend!

Summary: The children of Mondstat have no parents; on a visit to Mondstat, Wriothesly notices this and decides he and Neuvillette are their dads now. Neuvillette cannot stop him.

Actually, it was Neuvillette's trip to Mondstat. He just brought along Wriothesley to act as a bodyguard. The hydro dragon sovereign knew there were far too many fatui agents in Mondstat as in Fontaine.

One could never be too prepared.

They were meeting the acting head of the Favonious Knights in her office when a young girl traipsed by. Her head was down, and her shoulders hunched inward. Glancing at the Iudex, who was more preoccupied with checking the time on his watch, he looked back at the young girl dragging her feet to a room off the side.

"Are you okay? Where are your parents?"

Klee raised her head at the new voice; her eyes sparkled when she saw the tired Duke of Meropide. A grin stretched across her face. For a moment, Wriothesley thought he was just seeing things and that she wasn't actually sad.

"Do you wanna play once I'm out of time out? We can go fish blasting in the lake! We just can't let Jean catch us... She's scary..."

Wriothesley swore his heart was going to explode. There were kids in Meropide all the time because their parents were imprisoned there or they did something to get convicted. But Klee, he loved her smile and that twinkle in her eyes. It needed to be protected at all costs.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Mr. Wriothesley. Was Klee bothering you?"

"No, no, not at all." Wriothesley turned to the tall blonde in the white suit. "I was just wondering if she's alright."

"She was just on her way to the time-out room." Jean shot a pointed look at Klee, not necessarily upset or disappointed. Just stern.

Klee's smile turned into a pout, and Wriothesley felt his heart squeeze in his chest.

"Forgive me for asking, but are you her mother?"

"Me? Oh no, no, no. Not her mother. Just concerned for her well-being is all."

"Where are her parents?"

"Her..." Jean was taken aback, regaining her composure quickly. "Mother is out adventuring, and her father... Well, her father..."

The door to the solitary confinement room creaked open as Klee made her way inside.

"You said her name was Klee, yes?"

Jean nodded.

"Wait, Klee." Wriothesley stopped her before entering the room. She turned around slowly, curious eyes glancing at Jean for a moment.

"How would you feel about coming with me to the Fortress of Meropide?"

She was smiling once again.

"Wait, wait, wait."

Wriothesley turned to her.

"It's underwater, and my husband can easily make her bombs harmless."

"You have a husband?" Jean rose a brow.

"Yes."

"If it's alright with Klee." Jean chuckled. "Be sure to bring Albedo with you. He would tear Mondstat apart looking for her."

"Is he like her big brother?"

"Big brother Albedo is coming!" Klee gasped. "Yay! Big brother!"

Neuvillette observed Klee and Albedo for a moment, arms crossed and a blank look on his face. Wriothesley was smiling with a hopeful look in his eyes. The Iudex sighed and shook his head.

"You've brought two children back when it was only a business meeting?"

"I had to! They have no parents!" Wriothesley had a pout of his own, making puppy dog eyes.

Neuvillette's only weakness. Other than Sigewinne, of course.

It wasn't that the hydro sovereign dragon was going to tell Wriothesley to take them back to Mondstat. If anything, he was expecting this to happen, considering Wriothesley's background.

"Can we go fish blasting in here?" Klee pulled a bomb in the shape of a bunny from her backpack.

"She has bombs?!" Neuvillette's eyes bulged out of his head.

The Iudex should have refrained from bringing Wriothesley to Liyue because there wasn't much he would have needed to protect himself from, not that he was firm in his own sense. It was just his way of spending time with his beloved. Klee and Albedo were already essentially adopted, along with another of Klee's big brothers, Benett. The traveler even confirmed that Benett had no family. Neuvillette knew he did but didn't say anything.

Wriothesley was left to his own devices while Neuvillette met with Ningguang, the Tianquan of the Qixing.

The streets bustled with life. Merchants on almost every corner trying to sell something to tourists. He noticed a little brunette-haired girl with a backpack akin to Klee's pulling along her lavender-haired friend.

When Neuvillette returned, Wriothesley, Yao Yao, and Qiqi awaited him. The Duke of Meropide had a big smile while Yao Yao and Qiqi were looking at silk flowers nearby. Neuvillette sighed and face palmed.

"Dear, we cannot simply adopt them unless- "

"They don't have parents."

"Do they have guardians?"

"No."

"Are you sure?"

"Positively. I asked around to make sure. Although the nice doctor at Bubu Pharmacy did say he wanted notes or something."

Then Wriothesley got an idea.

"Sigewinne would love them, and Klee would have more siblings to play with."

Neuvillette just couldn't say no, especially when Wriothesley looked so happy.

Neuvillette had no business in Inazuma. It was like he wanted to wait to meet with Raiden Shogun. Fighting Archons is its own event entirely. To put it bluntly, they were here looking for orphans. The traveler had informed Wriothesley that a lot of kids in Inazuma either have no parents or have rather horrible parents after they saw Wriothesley was adopting kids.

They were in the forest for quite a bit. Wriothesley wondered if the stall merchants told him there were orphans in the woods to get him to leave them alone.

Then he saw it.

Something in the grass rustled. Then the trees started to rustle. At first, he thought it was a tanuki, but then out popped a little girl. She yawned and stretched, rubbing her eyes with the backs of her hands. When she saw the Iudex and the Duke, she made a surprised animal noise and rolled up into a ball, hiding in her tanuki disguise.

Sayu was promptly lured out with snacks and told she would have a proper place to sleep because they were adopting her.

This year's lantern rite talks about family. Ga Ming and his father has settled their differences through communication, somehow I also understand and see myself in Ga Ming when I was in his age, every time I'm having a dispute with my parents about plans and goals in life, I often walk away feeling mad and doesn't listen to what they say, to me its all the same, they don't understand and feel like they are always right. Somehow, as I grew older I often listen to their thoughts and understand what they mean, after all most of the parents wants what is best for their child, and so parents has also to listen to their children, it is always a two way communication to understand each other's perspective. In Ga Ming's quest, it shows that his father learn a thing or two from talking to someone , its better to have a second opinion and learn from the conversation, this way, it broadens the mind and be more open minded and understanding.

His talk with Zhongli opens his mind in understanding his child, being protective of your child and look out for their future is natural for a parent, however that doesn't mean you hold them from their passion and dream just because you feel and think that it is not something that can provide them with their basic needs, such as Ga Ming's passion of wushu dance, Yip Tak thought that dancing will never earn huge some of mora and Ga Ming might find hard to survive a day. In which case, Zhongli explains to him about kites and about someone's dream and goals.

A good example, is Miss Xianyun's parenting, she is giving her disciples to choose the path they want to go and guide them if they lost , protect them and understand them. On her story quest, you can see how cloud retainer takes care of her disciple giving them the freedom to make decision and understand them, even though there are some decisions from her disciples she does not agree but she supports them. In this way, it helps the child grow, know which path to choose and more importantly, they feel valued and respect their master in return, for Xianyun respects their decision all the time.

I think many players resonate about GaMing's journey and his passion, most of the asian households usually influence their child with the career path to choose , its because most parents thought that a career that is in demand, good pay and with achievement, can give their child a sense of security and income, will help them sufficiently provide their needs and wants. Because parents always look out for their child's future, to have a stable job and can provide themselves, to them, when they no longer in this world, it is a great relief for a parent to see their children that has a job that can provide any needs/wants, because they are having a stable job.
