Pairing: Spencer Reid x Reader
Word Count: 391 words
“Please.” His voice is a whisper, but in the quiet of the night, it feels volumes louder. You bite your lip and finally glance up at him as he speaks, his eyes pleading and fervent underneath the moonlight. “Please just listen to what I have to say.”
The air is cold. Your feet are cold, and you wish that your heart was as well. But you stay where you are anyway and nod, taking in a deep breath, because you couldn’t stop yourself before and nothing has changed since then, nothing. Even though you wish it had.
"It's ... different, with you," Spencer confesses, looking down at his hands. "I've felt something similar to this before but it's not the same. A-And I think you know that too. We're no strangers to love. Neither of us are."
"I understand." You smile, bittersweet, and take his hands in yours. It takes everything in you to keep from shivering at the contact. "But Spencer, you know the rules. And so do I."
His mouth presses into a thin line. The warmth from his fingers traces lines along your hands. "I know. But this isn't — isn't just going to go away. I," he wets his lips and swallows, "I don't want us to be like this forever. A full commitment's what I'm thinking of, and ..."
"And you really want it to work," you finish, letting go to cup his face in your hands. "I want that too. But I don’t know if we can."
"You wouldn't get this from any other guy," Spencer presses desperately, tripping over his words in his fervor. "I know you’re not used to this, but I have to — I just want to tell you how I'm feeling. I’ve got to make you understand.”
The tears are falling now. They burn and you try to blink them away, attempting to smile even as Spencer’s face blurs. “I know,” you breathe. “I know, Spencer. I’m just afraid.”
He opens his arms. You lean into him just as quickly, sobbing as he tugs you into a hug. “Please don’t cry,” he murmurs. “I won’t leave you. Never gonna give you up, okay? Or let you down.” His hand rubs circles on your back, slow and reassuring. “I’m never gonna run around and desert you. Okay, [Y/n]?”
You close your eyes. “O-Okay.”

So lately I've taken to leaving my phone on do not disturb and I woke up early this morning in a panic that I left my phone on silent and was going to miss my early grocery delivery. So half asleep I was fumbling for my phone to turn on my volume so I wouldn't miss my call.
Which normally wouldn't be a big deal except for some reason lately anytime I take my phone off my charger it takes FOREVER to wake up. So in my sleepy panic I forgot and kept pressing the power button, eventually it wakes up and I turn on the volume and go back to sleep.
Ten minutes later my dad calls me, and I answer the phone still half asleep and he starts asking if I'm okay. Yeah, it turns out I hit the power button so many times it sent SOS texts to him and my sister. SOS texts that included two pictures of me half asleep and panicking as I try to turn on my volume, a picture of my bedroom, and a five second clip of my grumbling. So not only did I accidentally send out an SOS, I sent one that was mildly concerning and I think I gave my poor dad a heartattack. And thank god my volume was on because he would've driven the hour to find me sleeping

An ATLA headcanon
Okay so we don’t know when Ty Lee learns chi blocking and we don’t know why; what if it was the day Ozai burned Zuko?
Imagine guys, that’s her childhood friend, what if she was THERE? With Mai sitting next to her.
Imagine her seeing the sheer terror on her friend’s face as her first love is disfigured and publicity shamed by his father.
Imagine her looking over at Azula and seeing the fire reflected in her eyes and the smile on her lips. She knows how much power and hatred are inside her and she, a nonbender, is so afraid of what she could do if she set her mind to it.
And then Ty Lee makes a decision; she tells herself, bender or not, she’ll never let one of her friends be hurt like that again.
