wow I really did write a gay love story between apollo and icarus

#ha ha we love dead gays set in greek mythology #and apollo is a hopeless romantic and a bi fool always #its honestly not great but if i wanted to i could definitely make it super angsty and sad #like just the sheer desperation of apollo trying to catch icarus as he falls #but no matter how fast his chariot goes its only causing for the wings to melt faster becAUSE ITS THE FUCKING SUN #and icarus is just drunk off of the wind and his freedom #and he finally would get to see apollos face up close right before he would start falling #it would be enough #anything of apollo wouldve been enoigh for icarus #and he would laugh the entir way back to earth before dying once he made contact with the waves beneath him #oh and did i mention that because apollo yried to save icarus he obviously made the day the shortest day of the year #and every year on that day apollo would race his chariot again to see if he could've caught him if he were fast enough #yeah and its became the shortest day of the year because apollo couldnt catch the moryal hed come to love #ahaha we love it #writing #stories
